Lecture Arabic	1 أَمَّا في ما يَخْتَصُّ بِمَجيءِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح، وبِاجْتِمَاعِنَا لَدَيه، فَنَسْأَلُكُم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، 2 أَلاَّ تَتَسَرَّعُوا فَتَتَزَعْزَعُوا عَن صَوابِكُم، ولا تَرتَعِبُوا لا مِن نُبُوءَة، ولا مِنْ كَلِمَة، ولا مِن رِسَالةٍ كأَنَّهَا مِنَّا، لَكَأَنَّ يَومَ الرَّبِّ قَد حَضَر. 3 فلا يَخدَعَنَّكُم أَحدٌ بِوَجْهٍ منَ الوُجُوه، لأَنَّ ذـلِكَ اليَوْمَ لا يَأْتي إِذَا لَمْ يَأْتِ الـجُحُودُ أَوَّلاً، وَيَظْهَرْ إِنْسَانُ الإِثْم، إِبنُ الـهَلاك، 4 أَلـمُتَمَرِّدُ الـمُتَشَامِخُ على كُلِّ مَنْ يُدْعى إِلـهًا أَو مَعْبُودًا، حتَّى إِنَّهُ يَجلِسُ في قُدْسِ هَيكلِ الله، مُظْهِرًا نَفْسَهُ إِنَّهُ الله. 5 أَلا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ أَنِّي، لَمَّا كُنتُ عِنْدَكُم، كُنتُ أَقُولُ لَكُم هـذَا؟ 6 والآنَ فأَنْتُم تَعْلَمُونَ مَا يَعُوقُهُ، إِلى أَنْ يَظْهَرَ في وَقتِهِ. 7 إِنَّ سِرَّ الإِثْمِ قَد بَدَأَ يَعْمَلُ في الـخَفَاء، إِلى أَن يُرْفَعَ مِنَ الوَسَط ذـلِكَ الَّذي يَعُوقُ الآنَ ظُهُورَهُ. 8 وعِندَئِذٍ يَظْهَرُ الأَثِيم، فَيُزِيلُهُ الرَّبُّ يَسُوعُ بِنَفخَةِ فَمِه، ويُبْطِلُهُ بِشُرُوقِ مَجيئِهِ. 9 ويَكُونُ مَجِيءُ الأَثِيم، بعَمَلِ الشَّيْطَان، مَصْحُوبًا بِكُلِّ قُوَّة، وبآيَاتٍ ومُعجِزاتٍ كاذِبَة، 10 وبِكُلِّ خِدَعِ البَاطِلِ للَّذِينَ يَهْلِكُون، لأَنَّهُم لَمْ يَقْبَلُوا مَحَبَّةَ الـحَقِّ فَيَخْلُصُوا. 11 ولِذـلِكَ يُرْسِلُ اللهُ إِلَيْهِم عَمَلَ ضَلالٍ لِيُصَدِّقُوا الكَذِب، 12 حتَّى يُدَانَ جَمِيعُ الَّذينَ مَا آمَنُوا بِالحَقّ، بَلِ ارْتَضَوا بِالبَاطِل.
Evangile Arabic	13 وَقَالَ لَهُ وَاحِدٌ مِنَ الـجَمْع:"يَا مُعَلِّم، قُلْ لأَخِي أَنْ يُقَاسِمَنِي الـمِيرَاث". 14 فَقَالَ لهُ: "يا رَجُل، مَنْ أَقَامَنِي عَلَيْكُمَا قَاضِيًا وَمُقَسِّمًا؟" . 15 ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُم: "إِحْذَرُوا، وَتَحَفَّظُوا مِنْ كُلِّ طَمَع، لأَنَّهُ مَهْمَا كَثُرَ غِنَى الإِنْسَان، فَحَياتُهُ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ مُقْتَنَياتِهِ". 16 وَقَالَ لَهُم هـذَا الـمَثَل: "رَجُلٌ غَنِيٌّ أَغَلَّتْ لهُ أَرْضُهُ. 17 فَرَاحَ يُفَكِّرُ في نَفْسِهِ قَائِلاً: مَاذَا أَفْعَل، وَلَيْسَ لَدَيَّ مَا أَخْزُنُ فِيهِ غَلاَّتِي؟ 18 ثُمَّ قَال: سَأَفْعَلُ هـذَا: أَهْدِمُ أَهْرَائِي، وَأَبْنِي أَكْبَرَ مِنْها، وَأَخْزُنُ فِيهَا كُلَّ حِنْطَتِي وَخَيْراتِي، 19 وَأَقُولُ لِنَفْسِي: يا نَفْسِي، لَكِ خَيْرَاتٌ كَثِيرَةٌ مُدَّخَرَةٌ لِسِنينَ كَثِيرَة، فاسْتَريِحي، وَكُلِي، واشْرَبِي، وَتَنَعَّمِي! 20 فَقَالَ لَهُ الله: يا جَاهِل، في هـذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ تُطْلَبُ مِنْكَ نَفْسُكَ. وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَهُ لِمَنْ يَكُون؟ 21 هـكذَا هِيَ حَالُ مَنْ يَدَّخِرُ لِنَفْسِهِ، وَلا يَغْتَنِي لله".

Lecture French	01 Frères, nous avons une demande à vous faire à propos de la venue de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ et de notre rassemblement auprès de lui : 02 si l'on nous attribue une inspiration, une parole ou une lettre prétendant que le jour du Seigneur est arrivé, n'allez pas aussitôt perdre la tête, ne vous laissez pas effrayer. 03 Ne laissez personne vous égarer d’aucune manière. Car il faut que vienne d’abord l’apostasie, et que se révèle l’Homme de l’impiété, le fils de perdition, 04 celui qui s’oppose, et qui s’élève contre tout ce que l’on nomme Dieu ou que l’on vénère, et qui va jusqu’à siéger dans le temple de Dieu en se faisant passer lui-même pour Dieu. 05 Ne vous souvenez-vous pas que je vous en ai parlé quand j’étais encore chez vous ? 06 Maintenant vous savez ce qui le retient, de sorte qu’il ne se révélera qu’au temps fixé pour lui. 07 Car le mystère d’iniquité est déjà à l’œuvre ; il suffit que soit écarté celui qui le retient à présent. 08 Alors sera révélé l’Impie, que le Seigneur Jésus supprimera par le souffle de sa bouche et fera disparaître par la manifestation de sa venue. 09 La venue de l’Impie, elle, se fera par la force de Satan avec une grande puissance, des signes et des prodiges trompeurs, 10 avec toute la séduction du mal, pour ceux qui se perdent du fait qu’ils n’ont pas accueilli l’amour de la vérité, ce qui les aurait sauvés. 11 C’est pourquoi Dieu leur envoie une force d’égarement qui les fait croire au mensonge ; 12 ainsi seront jugés tous ceux qui n’ont pas cru à la vérité, mais qui se sont complus dans le mal.
Evangile French	13 Du milieu de la foule, quelqu’un demanda à Jésus : « Maître, dis à mon frère de partager avec moi notre héritage. » 14 Jésus lui répondit : « Homme, qui donc m’a établi pour être votre juge ou l’arbitre de vos partages ? » 15 Puis, s’adressant à tous : « Gardez-vous bien de toute avidité, car la vie de quelqu’un, même dans l’abondance, ne dépend pas de ce qu’il possède. » 16 Et il leur dit cette parabole : « Il y avait un homme riche, dont le domaine avait bien rapporté. 17 Il se demandait : “Que vais-je faire ? Car je n’ai pas de place pour mettre ma récolte.” 18 Puis il se dit : “Voici ce que je vais faire : je vais démolir mes greniers, j’en construirai de plus grands et j’y mettrai tout mon blé et tous mes biens. 19 Alors je me dirai à moi-même : Te voilà donc avec de nombreux biens à ta disposition, pour de nombreuses années. Repose-toi, mange, bois, jouis de l’existence.” 20 Mais Dieu lui dit : “Tu es fou : cette nuit même, on va te redemander ta vie. Et ce que tu auras accumulé, qui l’aura ?” 21 Voilà ce qui arrive à celui qui amasse pour lui-même, au lieu d’être riche en vue de Dieu. »

Lecture English	1 We ask you, brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling with him,a 2 not to be shaken out of your minds suddenly, or to be alarmed either by a “spirit,”* or by an oral statement, or by a letter allegedly from us to the effect that the day of the Lord is at hand.b 3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For unless the apostasy comes first and the lawless one is revealed,* the one doomed to perdition, 4 c who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god and object of worship, so as to seat himself in the temple of God,* claiming that he is a god— 5 do you not recall that while I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining,* that he may be revealed in his time. 7 * For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. But the one who restrains is to do so only for the present, until he is removed from the scene.d 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord [Jesus] will kill with the breath of his mouth and render powerless by the manifestation of his coming,e 9 the one whose coming springs from the power of Satan in every mighty deed and in signs and wonders that lie,f 10 and in every wicked deceit for those who are perishing because they have not accepted the love of truth so that they may be saved. 11 Therefore, God is sending them a deceiving power so that they may believe the lie, 12 that all who have not believed the truth but have approved wrongdoing may be condemned.
Evangile English	13 * Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me.” 14 He replied to him, “Friend, who appointed me as your judge and arbitrator?”h 15 Then he said to the crowd, “Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one’s life does not consist of possessions.”i Parable of the Rich Fool. 16 Then he told them a parable. “There was a rich man whose land produced a bountiful harvest. 17 He asked himself, ‘What shall I do, for I do not have space to store my harvest?’ 18 And he said, ‘This is what I shall do: I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones. There I shall store all my grain and other goods 19 j and I shall say to myself, “Now as for you, you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, be merry!”’k 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?’ 21 Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God.”*
