Lecture Arabic	11 ولَمَّا قَدِمَ كِيفَا إِلى أَنْطَاكِيَة، قَاوَمْتُهُ مُوَاجَهَةً، لأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَسْتَحِقُّ اللَّوْم. 12 فقَبْلَ أَنْ يَجِيءَ أُنَاسٌ مِن عِنْدِ يَعْقُوب، كَانَ يُؤَاكِلُ الوَثَنِيِّين. وَلَمَّا جَاؤُوا أَخَذَ يَنْسَحِبُ ويَتَنَحَّى، خَوْفًا مِن أَهْلِ الـخِتَانَة. 13 وجَارَاهُ سَائِرُ اليَهُودِ في مُحَابَاتِهِ، حتَّى بَرْنَابَا نَفسُهُ انْجَرَّ بِمُحَابَاتِهِم. 14 ولـكِنْ لَمَّا رَأَيْتُ أَنَّهُم لا يَسْلُكُونَ مَسْلَكًا مُستَقِيمًا، بِحَسَبِ حَقِيقَةِ الإِنْجِيل، قُلْتُ لكِيفَا أَمَامَ الـجَمِيع: "إِنْ كُنْتَ، وأَنْتَ يَهُودِيّ، تَعِيشُ كَالأُمَمِ لا كَاليَهُود، فَكَيفَ تُلْزِمُ الأُمَمَ أَنْ يَعيشُوا كَاليَهُود؟".
Evangile Arabic	45 ومِنَ الظُّهْرِ حَتَّى السَّاعَةِ الثَّالِثَة، خَيَّمَ ظَلامٌ عَلى الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا. 46 ونَحْوَ السَّاعَةِ الثَّالِثَة، صَرَخَ يَسُوعُ بِصَوْتٍ عَظِيمٍ قَائِلاً: "إِيْلِي، إِيْلِي، لِمَا شَبَقْتَنِي؟ أَيْ: إِلـهِي، إِلـهِي، لِمَاذَا تَرَكْتَنِي؟". 47 وسَمِعَهُ بَعْضُ الوَاقِفِينَ هُنَاكَ فَقَالُوا: "إِنَّهُ يُنَادِي إِيليَّا!". 48 وفي الـحَالِ أَسْرَعَ وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُم، وأَخَذَ إِسْفَنْجَة، فَغَمَسَهَا في الـخَلّ، ووَضَعَهَا عَلى قَصَبَة، وقَدَّمَ إِليْهِ لِيَشْرَب. 49 فقَالَ البَاقُون: "دَعْنَا نَرَى هَلْ يَأْتِي إِيْلِيَّا ويُخَلِّصُهُ!". 50 فَصَرَخَ يَسُوعُ مَرَّةً ثَانِيَةً بِصَوْتٍ عَظِيْم، وأَسْلَمَ الرُّوح! 51 وإذَا حِجَابُ مَقْدِسِ الـهَيْكَلِ قَدِ انْشَقَّ إِلى اثْنَيْن، مِنْ أَعْلى إِلى أَسْفَل، والأَرْضُ تَزَلْزَلَتْ، والصُّخُورُ تَصَدَّعَتْ، 52 والقُبُورُ تَفَتَّحَتْ، وقَامَ كَثِيرٌ مِنْ أَجْسَادِ القِدِّيسينَ الرَّاقِدِين، 53 وخَرَجُوا مِنَ القُبُورِ بَعْدَ قِيَامَةِ يَسُوع، ودَخَلُوا الـمَدِينَةَ الـمُقَدَّسَة، وتَراءَوا لِكَثِيرِين. 54 أَمَّا قَائِدُ الـمِئَةِ والـحَرَسُ الَّذينَ مَعَهُ، فَإِنَّهُم لَمَّا رَأَوا الزِّلزَالَ ومَا حَدَث، اسْتَولى عَلَيهِم خَوْفٌ شَدِيد، وقَالُوا: "حَقًّا، كَانَ هـذَا ابْنَ الله!".

Lecture French	11 Mais quand Pierre est venu à Antioche, je me suis opposé à lui ouvertement, parce qu’il était dans son tort. 12 En effet, avant l’arrivée de quelques personnes de l’entourage de Jacques, Pierre prenait ses repas avec les fidèles d’origine païenne. Mais après leur arrivée, il prit l’habitude de se retirer et de se tenir à l’écart, par crainte de ceux qui étaient d’origine juive. 13 Tous les autres fidèles d’origine juive jouèrent la même comédie que lui, si bien que Barnabé lui-même se laissa entraîner dans ce jeu. 14 Mais quand je vis que ceux-ci ne marchaient pas droit selon la vérité de l’Évangile, je dis à Pierre devant tout le monde : « Si toi qui es juif, tu vis à la manière des païens et non des Juifs, pourquoi obliges-tu les païens à suivre les coutumes juives ? »
Evangile French	45 À partir de la sixième heure (c’est-à-dire : midi), l’obscurité se fit sur toute la terre jusqu’à la neuvième heure. 46 Vers la neuvième heure, Jésus cria d’une voix forte : « Éli, Éli, lema sabactani ? », ce qui veut dire : « Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m’as-tu abandonné ? » 47 L’ayant entendu, quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là disaient : « Le voilà qui appelle le prophète Élie ! » 48 Aussitôt l’un d’eux courut prendre une éponge qu’il trempa dans une boisson vinaigrée ; il la mit au bout d’un roseau, et il lui donnait à boire. 49 Les autres disaient : « Attends ! Nous verrons bien si Élie vient le sauver. » 50 Mais Jésus, poussant de nouveau un grand cri, rendit l’esprit. 51 Et voici que le rideau du Sanctuaire se déchira en deux, depuis le haut jusqu’en bas ; la terre trembla et les rochers se fendirent. 52 Les tombeaux s’ouvrirent ; les corps de nombreux saints qui étaient morts ressuscitèrent, 53 et, sortant des tombeaux après la résurrection de Jésus, ils entrèrent dans la Ville sainte, et se montrèrent à un grand nombre de gens. 54 À la vue du tremblement de terre et de ces événements, le centurion et ceux qui, avec lui, gardaient Jésus, furent saisis d’une grande crainte et dirent : « Vraiment, celui-ci était Fils de Dieu ! »

Lecture English	11 j And when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face because he clearly was wrong.* 12 For, until some people came from James,* he used to eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to draw back and separated himself, because he was afraid of the circumcised.k 13 And the rest of the Jews* [also] acted hypocritically along with him, with the result that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.l 14 But when I saw that they were not on the right road in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of all,m “If you, though a Jew, are living like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?”*
Evangile English	45 * t From noon onward,u darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. 46 v And about three o’clock Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?”* which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” 47 * Some of the bystanders who heard it said, “This one is calling for Elijah.” 48 w Immediately one of them ran to get a sponge; he soaked it in wine, and putting it on a reed, gave it to him to drink. 49 But the rest said, “Wait, let us see if Elijah comes to save him.” 50 * But Jesus cried out again in a loud voice, and gave up his spirit. 51 x And behold, the veil of the sanctuary was torn in two from top to bottom.* The earth quaked, rocks were split, 52 y tombs were opened, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. 53 And coming forth from their tombs after his resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many. 54 * The centurion and the men with him who were keeping watch over Jesus feared greatly when they saw the earthquake and all that was happening, and they said, “Truly, this was the Son of God!”
