Lecture Arabic	5 إِخْتَبِرُوا أَنْفُسَكُم، هَلْ أَنْتُم رَاسِخُونَ في الإِيْمَان. إِمْتَحِنُوا أَنْفُسَكُم. أَلا تَعْرِفُونَ أَنَّ الـمَسِيحَ يَسُوعَ فِيكُم؟ إِلاَّ إِذَا كُنْتُم مَرْفُوضِين! 6 فأَرْجُو أَنْ تَعْرِفُوا أَنَّنا نَحْنُ لَسْنا مَرْفُوضِين! 7 ونُصَلِّي إِلى اللهِ كَيْ لا تَفْعَلُوا أَيَّ شَرّ، لا لِنَظْهَرَ نَحْنُ مَقْبُولِين، بَلْ لِكَي تَفْعَلُوا أَنْتُمُ الـخَيْر، ونَكُونَ نَحْنُ كَأَنَّنا مَرْفُوضُون! 8 فَإِنَّنا لا نَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ نَفْعَلَ شَيْئًا ضِدَّ الـحَقّ، بَلْ لأَجْلِ الـحَقّ! 9 أَجَلْ، إِنَّنا نَفْرَحُ عِنْدَما نَكُونُ نَحْنُ ضُعَفَاء، وتَكُونُونَ أَنْتُم أَقْوِيَاء. مِنْ أَجْلِ هـذَا أَيْضًا نُصَلِّي لِكَي تَكُونُوا كَامِلِين. 10 أَكْتُبُ هـذَا وأَنا غَائِب، لِئَلاَّ أُعَامِلَكُم بِقَسَاوَةٍ وأَنا حَاضِر، بِالسُّلْطَانِ الَّذي أَعْطَانِي إِيَّاهُ الرَّبّ، لِبُنْيَانِكُم لا لِهَدْمِكُم. 11 وبَعْدُ، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، إِفْرَحُوا، وَاسْعَوا إِلى الكَمَال، وتَشَجَّعُوا، وكُونُوا عَلى رَأْيٍ وَاحِد، وعِيشُوا في سَلام، وإِلـهُ الـمَحَبَّةِ والسَّلامِ يَكُونُ مَعَكُم! 12 سَلِّمُوا بَعْضُكُم عَلى بَعْضٍ بِقُبْلَةٍ مُقَدَّسَة. جَمِيعُ القِدِّيسِينَ يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْكُم. 13 نِعْمَةُ الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح، ومَحَبَّةُ الله، وَشَرِكَةُ الرُّوحِ القُدُسِ مَعَكُم أَجْمَعِين!
Evangile Arabic	11 وَقَالَ يَسُوع: "كانَ لِرَجُلٍ ابْنَان. 12 فَقالَ أَصْغَرُهُمَا لأَبِيه: يَا أَبي، أَعْطِنِي حِصَّتِي مِنَ الـمِيرَاث. فَقَسَمَ لَهُمَا ثَرْوَتَهُ. 13 وَبَعْدَ أَيَّامٍ قَلِيلَة، جَمَعَ الابْنُ الأَصْغَرُ كُلَّ حِصَّتِهِ، وسَافَرَ إِلى بَلَدٍ بَعِيد. وَهُنَاكَ بَدَّدَ مَالَهُ في حَيَاةِ الطَّيْش. 14 وَلَمَّا أَنْفَقَ كُلَّ شَيء، حَدَثَتْ في ذـلِكَ البَلَدِ مَجَاعَةٌ شَدِيدَة، فَبَدَأَ يُحِسُّ بِالعَوَز. 15 فَذَهَبَ وَلَجَأَ إِلى وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ ذـلِكَ البَلَد، فَأَرْسَلَهُ إِلى حُقُولِهِ لِيَرْعَى الـخَنَازِير. 16 وَكانَ يَشْتَهي أَنْ يَمْلأَ جَوْفَهُ مِنَ الـخَرُّوبِ الَّذي كَانَتِ الـخَنَازِيرُ تَأْكُلُهُ، وَلا يُعْطِيهِ مِنْهُ أَحَد. 17 فَرَجَعَ إِلى نَفْسِهِ وَقَال: كَمْ مِنَ الأُجَرَاءِ عِنْدَ أَبي، يَفْضُلُ الـخُبْزُ عَنْهُم، وَأَنا هـهُنَا أَهْلِكُ جُوعًا! 18 أَقُومُ وَأَمْضي إِلى أَبي وَأَقُولُ لَهُ: يَا أَبِي، خَطِئْتُ إِلى السَّمَاءِ وَأَمَامَكَ. 19 وَلا أَسْتَحِقُّ بَعْدُ أَنْ أُدْعَى لَكَ ابْنًا. فَاجْعَلْنِي كَأَحَدِ أُجَرَائِكَ! 20 فَقَامَ وَجَاءَ إِلى أَبِيه. وفِيمَا كَانَ لا يَزَالُ بَعِيدًا، رَآهُ أَبُوه، فَتَحَنَّنَ عَلَيْه، وَأَسْرَعَ فَأَلْقَى بِنَفْسِهِ عَلى عُنُقِهِ وَقَبَّلَهُ طَوِيلاً. 21 فَقالَ لَهُ ابْنُهُ: يَا أَبي، خَطِئْتُ إِلى السَّمَاءِ وَأَمَامَكَ. وَلا أَسْتَحِقُّ بَعْدُ أَنْ أُدْعَى لَكَ ابْنًا... 22 فَقالَ الأَبُ لِعَبيدِهِ: أَسْرِعُوا وَأَخْرِجُوا الـحُلَّةَ الفَاخِرَةَ وَأَلْبِسُوه، واجْعَلُوا في يَدِهِ خَاتَمًا، وفي رِجْلَيْهِ حِذَاء، 23 وَأْتُوا بِالعِجْلِ الـمُسَمَّنِ واذْبَحُوه، وَلْنَأْكُلْ وَنَتَنَعَّمْ! 24 لأَنَّ ابْنِيَ هـذَا كَانَ مَيْتًا فَعَاش، وَضَائِعًا فَوُجِد. وَبَدَأُوا يَتَنَعَّمُون. 25 وكانَ ابْنُهُ الأَكْبَرُ في الـحَقْل. فَلَمَّا جَاءَ واقْتَرَبَ مِنَ البَيْت، سَمِعَ غِنَاءً وَرَقْصًا. 26 فَدَعا وَاحِدًا مِنَ الغِلْمَانِ وَسَأَلَهُ: مَا عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ هـذَا؟ 27 فَقالَ لَهُ: جَاءَ أَخُوك، فَذَبَحَ أَبُوكَ العِجْلَ الـمُسَمَّن، لأَنَّهُ لَقِيَهُ سَالِمًا. 28 فَغَضِبَ وَلَمْ يُرِدْ أَنْ يَدْخُل. فَخَرَجَ أَبُوهُ يَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْه. 29 فَأَجَابَ وقَالَ لأَبِيه: هَا أَنا أَخْدُمُكَ كُلَّ هـذِهِ السِّنِين، وَلَمْ أُخَالِفْ لَكَ يَوْمًا أَمْرًا، وَلَمْ تُعْطِنِي مَرَّةً جَدْيًا، لأَتَنَعَّمَ مَعَ أَصْدِقَائِي. 30 ولـكِنْ لَمَّا جَاءَ ابْنُكَ هـذَا الَّذي أَكَلَ ثَرْوَتَكَ مَعَ الزَّوَانِي، ذَبَحْتَ لَهُ العِجْلَ الـمُسَمَّن! 31 فَقالَ لَهُ أَبُوه: يَا وَلَدِي، أَنْتَ مَعِي في كُلِّ حِين، وَكُلُّ مَا هُوَ لِي هُوَ لَكَ. 32 ولـكِنْ كانَ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ نَتَنَعَّمَ وَنَفْرَح، لأَنَّ أَخَاكَ هـذَا كانَ مَيْتًا فَعَاش، وَضَائِعًا فَوُجِد".

Lecture French	05 Mettez-vous donc vous-mêmes à l’épreuve, pour voir si vous êtes dans la foi ; examinez-vous. Peut-être ne reconnaissez-vous pas que Jésus Christ est en vous ? Dans ce cas, vous êtes disqualifiés. 06 J’espère que vous reconnaîtrez que nous, nous ne le sommes pas. 07 Dans notre prière, nous demandons à Dieu que vous ne commettiez aucun mal ; nous ne le faisons pas pour mettre en évidence notre propre qualification, mais pour que vous, vous fassiez le bien, et que nous soyons, nous, comme disqualifiés. 08 Car nous n’avons aucun pouvoir contre la vérité, nous en avons seulement pour la vérité. 09 En effet, nous nous réjouissons chaque fois que nous sommes faibles, tandis que vous êtes forts. Ce que nous demandons dans notre prière, c’est que vous avanciez vers la perfection. 10 Voici pourquoi je vous écris cela, maintenant que je suis absent : c’est pour n’avoir pas à utiliser avec rigueur, quand je serai présent, le pouvoir que le Seigneur m’a donné en vue de construire et non de démolir. 11 Enfin, frères, soyez dans la joie, cherchez la perfection, encouragez-vous, soyez d’accord entre vous, vivez en paix, et le Dieu d’amour et de paix sera avec vous. 12 Saluez-vous les uns les autres par un baiser de paix. Tous les fidèles vous saluent. 13 Que la grâce du Seigneur Jésus Christ, l’amour de Dieu et la communion du Saint-Esprit soient avec vous tous.
Evangile French	11 Jésus dit encore : « Un homme avait deux fils. 12 Le plus jeune dit à son père : “Père, donne-moi la part de fortune qui me revient.” Et le père leur partagea ses biens. 13 Peu de jours après, le plus jeune rassembla tout ce qu’il avait, et partit pour un pays lointain où il dilapida sa fortune en menant une vie de désordre. 14 Il avait tout dépensé, quand une grande famine survint dans ce pays, et il commença à se trouver dans le besoin. 15 Il alla s’engager auprès d’un habitant de ce pays, qui l’envoya dans ses champs garder les porcs. 16 Il aurait bien voulu se remplir le ventre avec les gousses que mangeaient les porcs, mais personne ne lui donnait rien. 17 Alors il rentra en lui-même et se dit : “Combien d’ouvriers de mon père ont du pain en abondance, et moi, ici, je meurs de faim ! 18 Je me lèverai, j’irai vers mon père, et je lui dirai : Père, j’ai péché contre le ciel et envers toi. 19 Je ne suis plus digne d’être appelé ton fils. Traite-moi comme l’un de tes ouvriers.” 20 Il se leva et s’en alla vers son père. Comme il était encore loin, son père l’aperçut et fut saisi de compassion ; il courut se jeter à son cou et le couvrit de baisers. 21 Le fils lui dit : “Père, j’ai péché contre le ciel et envers toi. Je ne suis plus digne d’être appelé ton fils.” 22 Mais le père dit à ses serviteurs : “Vite, apportez le plus beau vêtement pour l’habiller, mettez-lui une bague au doigt et des sandales aux pieds, 23 allez chercher le veau gras, tuez-le, mangeons et festoyons, 24 car mon fils que voilà était mort, et il est revenu à la vie ; il était perdu, et il est retrouvé.” Et ils commencèrent à festoyer. 25 Or le fils aîné était aux champs. Quand il revint et fut près de la maison, il entendit la musique et les danses. 26 Appelant un des serviteurs, il s’informa de ce qui se passait. 27 Celui-ci répondit : “Ton frère est arrivé, et ton père a tué le veau gras, parce qu’il a retrouvé ton frère en bonne santé.” 28 Alors le fils aîné se mit en colère, et il refusait d’entrer. Son père sortit le supplier. 29 Mais il répliqua à son père : “Il y a tant d’années que je suis à ton service sans avoir jamais transgressé tes ordres, et jamais tu ne m’as donné un chevreau pour festoyer avec mes amis. 30 Mais, quand ton fils que voilà est revenu après avoir dévoré ton bien avec des prostituées, tu as fait tuer pour lui le veau gras !” 31 Le père répondit : “Toi, mon enfant, tu es toujours avec moi, et tout ce qui est à moi est à toi. 32 Il fallait festoyer et se réjouir ; car ton frère que voilà était mort, et il est revenu à la vie ; il était perdu, et il est retrouvé !” »

Lecture English	5 * Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless, of course, you fail the test. 6 I hope you will discover that we have not failed. 7 But we pray to God that you may not do evil, not that we may appear to have passed the test but that you may do what is right, even though we may seem to have failed. 8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 For we rejoice when we are weak but you are strong. What we pray for is your improvement. 10 * b I am writing this while I am away, so that when I come I may not have to be severe in virtue of the authority that the Lord has given me to build up and not to tear down. 11 Finally, brothers, rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. 12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the holy ones greet you.c 13 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the holy Spirit be with all of you.d
Evangile English	11 Then he said, “A man had two sons, 12 and the younger son said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of your estate that should come to me.’ So the father divided the property between them. 13 After a few days, the younger son collected all his belongings and set off to a distant country where he squandered his inheritance on a life of dissipation.g 14 When he had freely spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he found himself in dire need. 15 So he hired himself out to one of the local citizens who sent him to his farm to tend the swine. 16 And he longed to eat his fill of the pods on which the swine fed, but nobody gave him any. 17 Coming to his senses he thought, ‘How many of my father’s hired workers have more than enough food to eat, but here am I, dying from hunger. 18 I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I no longer deserve to be called your son; treat me as you would treat one of your hired workers.”’ 20 So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. 21 His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.’ 22 But his father ordered his servants, ‘Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, 24 because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.’ Then the celebration began. 25 Now the older son had been out in the field and, on his way back, as he neared the house, he heard the sound of music and dancing. 26 He called one of the servants and asked what this might mean. 27 The servant said to him, ‘Your brother has returned and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’ 28 He became angry, and when he refused to enter the house, his father came out and pleaded with him. 29 He said to his father in reply, ‘Look, all these years I served you and not once did I disobey your orders; yet you never gave me even a young goat to feast on with my friends. 30 But when your son returns who swallowed up your property with prostitutes, for him you slaughter the fattened calf.’ 31 He said to him, ‘My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours. 32 But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’”
