Lecture Arabic	1 فَإِنِّي جَزَمْتُ بِهـذَا في نَفْسِي أَلاَّ أَعُودَ إِلَيْكُم عَلى حُزْنٍ: 2 لأَنِّي إِنْ كُنْتُ أَنَا أُحْزِنُكُم، فَمَنْ يُفَرِّحُنِي غَيْرُ الَّذي أُحْزِنُهُ؟ 3 وقَدْ كَتَبْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِهـذَا، لِئَلاَّ أَلْقَى عِنْدَ قُدُومِي حُزْنًا مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَانَ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ أَفْرَحَ بِهِم. وأَنَا عَلى يَقِينٍ مِنْ جِهَتِكُم أَجْمَعِينَ أَنَّ فَرَحِي هُوَ فَرَحُكُم جَمِيعًا. 4 فَمِنَ الضِّيقِ الشَّدِيد، وكآبَةِ القَلْب، كَتَبْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِدُمُوعٍ غَزِيرَة، لا لِتَحْزَنُوا، بَلْ لِتَعْرِفُوا مِقْدَارَ حُبِّي العَظِيمِ لَكُم. 5 وإِذَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ قَدْ أَحْزَنَنِي، فَما أَحْزَنَنِي أَنَا وَحْدِي، بَلْ أَحْزَنَكُم جَمِيعًا بَعْضَ الـحُزْن، وأَقُولُ هـذَا بِدُونِ مُبَالَغَة! 6 وَيَكْفِي مِثْلَ هـذَا الرَّجُلِ ذَاكَ التَّوبِيخُ الَّذي نَالَهُ مِنَ الأَكْثَرِين. 7 أَمَّا الآنَ فَالأَحْرَى بِكُم أَنْ تُسَامِحُوهُ وتُشَجِّعُوه، لِئَلاَّ يَغْرَقَ في الـحُزْنِ الشَّدِيد. 8 لِذ,لِكَ أُنَاشِدُكُم أَنْ تُؤَكِّدُوا لَهُ مَحَبَّتَكُم. 9 وإِنَّمَا كَتَبْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِهـذَا لأَخْتَبِرَكُم إِذَا كُنْتُم مُطِيعِينَ في كُلِّ شَيء. 10 فَمَنْ تُسَامِحُوهُ بِشَيءٍ أُسَامِحْهُ أَنَا أَيْضًا؛ لأَنِّي إِنْ كُنْتُ قَدْ سَامَحْتُ بِشَيء، فقَدْ سَامَحْتُ بِهِ مِنْ أَجْلِكُم في حَضْرَةِ الـمَسِيح، 11 لِئَلاَّ يَخْدَعَنَا الشَّيْطَان، ونَحْنُ لا نَجْهَلُ مَقَاصِدَهُ.
Evangile Arabic	18 وفيمَا كَانَ يَسُوعُ مَاشِيًا عَلى شَاطِئِ بَحْرِ الـجَلِيل، رَأَى أَخَوَيْن، سِمْعَانَ الَّذي يُدْعَى بُطْرُس، وأَنْدرَاوُسَ أَخَاه، وهُمَا يُلْقِيَانِ الشَّبَكَةَ في البَحْر، لأَنَّهُمَا كَانَا صَيَّادَيْن. 19 فقَالَ لَهُمَا: "إِتْبَعَانِي فَأَجْعَلَكُمَا صَيَّادَيْنِ لِلنَّاس". 20 فتَرَكَا الشِّبَاكَ حَالاً، وتَبِعَاه. 21 ولَمَّا جَازَ مِنْ هُنَاك، رَأَى أَخَوَيْنِ آخَرَيْن، يَعْقُوبَ بْنَ زَبَدَى، ويُوحَنَّا أَخَاه، في السَّفِينَةِ مَعَ زَبَدَى أَبِيهِمَا، وهُمَا يُصْلِحَانِ شِبَاكَهُمَا، فَدَعَاهُمَا. 22 فَتَرَكا حَالاً السَّفِينَةَ وأَبَاهُمَا، وتَبِعَاه. 23 وكانَ يَسُوعُ يَطُوفُ كُلَّ الـجَلِيل، يُعَلِّمُ في مَجَامِعِهم، ويَكْرِزُ بإِنْجِيلِ الـمَلَكُوت، ويَشْفِي الشَّعْبَ مِنْ كُلِّ مَرَضٍ وكُلِّ عِلَّة. 24 وذَاعَ صِيتُهُ في سُورِيَّا كُلِّها، فَحَمَلُوا إِلَيْهِ جَمِيعَ مَنْ كَانَ بِهِم سُوء، مُصَابِينَ بِأَمْرَاضٍ وأَوْجَاعٍ مُخْتَلِفَة، ومَمْسُوسِينَ ومَصْرُوعِينَ ومَفْلُوجِين، فَشَفَاهُم. 25 وتَبِعَتْهُ جُمُوعٌ كَثِيْرَةٌ مِنَ الـجَلِيل، والـمُدُنِ العَشْر، وأُورَشَليم، واليَهُودِيَّة، وعِبْرِ الأُرْدُنّ

Lecture French	01 J’ai pris la décision de ne pas retourner chez vous dans un climat de tristesse. 02 Car si moi je vous attriste, qui peut me réjouir, sinon celui que j’ai attristé ? 03 Et si j’ai écrit comme je l’ai fait, c’est précisément pour éviter qu’en arrivant je sois attristé par ceux qui auraient dû me donner de la joie ; car je suis convaincu, en ce qui vous concerne, que ma joie est aussi votre joie à tous. 04 Ainsi, c’est dans une grande détresse et le cœur serré que je vous ai écrit, et en versant beaucoup de larmes, non pas pour vous attrister, mais pour que vous sachiez quel immense amour j’ai pour vous. 05 Si quelqu’un a causé de la tristesse, ce n’est pas à moi seul, mais, sans vouloir exagérer, c’est à vous tous, dans une certaine mesure. 06 Pour celui-là, la sanction infligée par la majorité doit suffire, 07 si bien que vous devez, au contraire, plutôt lui faire grâce et le réconforter, pour éviter qu’il ne sombre dans une tristesse excessive. 08 Je vous exhorte donc à faire prévaloir envers lui une attitude de charité. 09 Et voici également pourquoi je vous ai écrit : je voulais vérifier si vous êtes, en tout point, obéissants. 10 Quand vous faites grâce à quelqu’un, je le fais, moi aussi ; et moi, quand j’ai fait grâce – si j’ai fait grâce en quelque chose – c’était à cause de vous sous le regard du Christ, 11 pour ne pas nous laisser dominer par Satan, dont nous connaissons bien les intentions.
Evangile French	18 Comme il marchait le long de la mer de Galilée, il vit deux frères, Simon, appelé Pierre, et son frère André, qui jetaient leurs filets dans la mer ; car c’étaient des pêcheurs. 19 Jésus leur dit : « Venez à ma suite, et je vous ferai pêcheurs d’hommes. » 20 Aussitôt, laissant leurs filets, ils le suivirent. 21 De là, il avança et il vit deux autres frères, Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et son frère Jean, qui étaient dans la barque avec leur père, en train de réparer leurs filets. Il les appela. 22 Aussitôt, laissant la barque et leur père, ils le suivirent. 23 Jésus parcourait toute la Galilée ; il enseignait dans leurs synagogues, proclamait l’Évangile du Royaume, guérissait toute maladie et toute infirmité dans le peuple. 24 Sa renommée se répandit dans toute la Syrie. On lui amena tous ceux qui souffraient, atteints de maladies et de tourments de toutes sortes : possédés, épileptiques, paralysés. Et il les guérit. 25 De grandes foules le suivirent, venues de la Galilée, de la Décapole, de Jérusalem, de la Judée, et de l’autre côté du Jourdain.

Lecture English	1 For I decided not to come to you again in painful circumstances. 2 For if I inflict pain upon you, then who is there to cheer me except the one pained by me? 3 And I wrote as I did* so that when I came I might not be pained by those in whom I should have rejoiced, confident about all of you that my joy is that of all of you. 4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you might be pained but that you might know the abundant love I have for you. The Offender.* 5 If anyone has caused pain, he has caused it not to me, but in some measure (not to exaggerate) to all of you. 6 This punishment by the majority is enough for such a person, 7 so that on the contrary you should forgive and encourage him instead, or else the person may be overwhelmed by excessive pain.a 8 Therefore, I urge you to reaffirm your love for him. 9 For this is why I wrote, to know your proven character, whether you were obedient in everything.b 10 Whomever you forgive anything, so do I. For indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for you in the presence of Christ, 11 so that we might not be taken advantage of by Satan, for we are not unaware of his purposes.c
Evangile English	18 l As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. 19 He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 * At once they left their nets and followed him. 21 He walked along from there and saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat, with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed him. Ministering to a Great Multitude.* 23 He went around all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues,* proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness among the people.m 24 * His fame spread to all of Syria, and they brought to him all who were sick with various diseases and racked with pain, those who were possessed, lunatics, and paralytics, and he cured them. 25 n And great crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis,* Jerusalem, and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan followed him.
