Lecture Arabic	11 هَا قَدْ صِرْتُ جَاهِلاً! ولـكِنْ أَنْتُم أَجْبَرتُمُونِي! وكانَ عَلَيْكُم أَنْتُم أَنْ تَشْهَدُوا لي، لأَنِّي لَمْ أَنْقُصْ في شَيءٍ عَنْ أَكَابِرِ الرُّسُل، ولَوْ لَمْ أَكُنْ شَيئًا. 12 إِنَّ العَلامَاتِ الـمُمَيِّزَةَ لِلرَّسُولِ قَدْ تَحَقَّقَتْ بَيْنَكُم في مُنْتَهَى الصَّبْر، بِالآيَاتِ والعَجَائِبِ والأَعْمَالِ القَدِيرَة. 13 ففِي أَيِّ شَيءٍ نَقَصْتُم عَنْ سَائِرِ الكَنَائِس، إِلاَّ بِأَنِّي لَمْ أُثَقِّلْ عَلَيْكُم؟ فَاغْفِرُوا لي هـذِهِ الإِساءَة! 14 هَا إِنِّي لِلمَرَّةِ الثَّالِثَةِ أَسْتَعِدُّ لِلقُدُومِ إِلَيْكُم، ولَنْ أُثَقِّلَ عَلَيْكُم، لأَنِّي لا أَطْلُبُ مَا هُوَ لَكُم، بَلْ إِيَّاكُم أَطْلُب. لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلى الأَولادِ أَنْ يَدَّخِرُوا لِوالِدِيهِم، بَلْ عَلى الوَالِدِينَ أَنْ يَدَّخِرُوا لأَولادِهِم. 15 وأَنا بِكُلِّ سُرُورٍ أَبْذُلُ مَا عِنْدي، بَلْ أَبْذُلُ نَفْسِي لأَجْلِ نُفُوسِكُم! فَهَلْ تُحِبُّونِي أَقَلّ، لأَنِّي أُحِبُّكُم أَكْثَر؟ 16 فَلْيَكُنْ! أَنا لَمْ أُثَقِّلْ عَلَيْكُم؛ ولـكِنِّي رَجُلٌ مَاكِر، بحِيلَةٍ أَخَذْتُكُم!
Evangile Arabic	40 وعَادَ يَسُوعُ إِلى عِبْرِ الأُرْدُنّ، إِلى حَيْثُ كَانَ يُوحَنَّا يُعَمِّدْ مِنْ قَبْلُ، فَأَقَامَ هُنَاك. 41 وأَتَى إِلَيْهِ كَثِيرُونَ وكَانُوا يَقُولُون: "لَمْ يَصْنَعْ يُوحَنَّا أَيَّ آيَة، ولـكِنْ، كُلُّ مَا قَالَهُ في هـذَا الرَّجُلِ كَانَ حَقًّا". 42 فآمَنَ بِهِ هُنَاكَ كَثِيرُون.

Lecture French	11 Me voilà devenu insensé : c’est vous qui m’y avez forcé ! J’aurais dû plutôt être recommandé par vous ; en effet, je n’ai été en rien inférieur à ces super-apôtres, quoique je ne sois rien. 12 Les signes auxquels on reconnaît l’apôtre ont été mis en œuvre chez vous : toute cette persévérance, tant de signes, de prodiges, de miracles ! 13 Que vous a-t-il manqué par rapport aux autres Églises, sinon que moi, je ne vous ai pas été à charge ? Pardonnez-moi cette injustice ! 14 Me voici prêt à venir chez vous pour la troisième fois, et je ne vous serai pas à charge, car ce que je cherche, ce n’est pas vos biens, mais vous-mêmes. En effet, ce ne sont pas les enfants qui doivent mettre de l’argent de côté pour leurs parents, mais les parents pour leurs enfants. 15 Et moi, je serai très heureux de dépenser et de me dépenser tout entier pour vous. Si je vous aime davantage, faut-il qu’en retour je sois moins aimé ? 16 Quelques-uns diront que, certes, je n’ai pas été un poids pour vous, mais que je suis un fourbe et que je vous ai pris par ruse.
Evangile French	40 Il repartit de l’autre côté du Jourdain, à l’endroit où, au début, Jean baptisait ; et il y demeura. 41 Beaucoup vinrent à lui en déclarant : « Jean n’a pas accompli de signe ; mais tout ce que Jean a dit de celui-ci était vrai. » 42 Et là, beaucoup crurent en lui.

Lecture English	11 I have been foolish. You compelled me, for I ought to have been commended by you. For I am in no way inferior to these “superapostles,”f even though I am nothing. 12 * The signs of an apostle were performed among you with all endurance, signs and wonders, and mighty deeds.g 13 * In what way were you less privileged than the rest of the churches, except that on my part I did not burden you? Forgive me this wrong!h 14 Now I am ready to come to you this third time. And I will not be a burden, for I want not what is yours, but you. Children ought not to save for their parents, but parents for their children. 15 I will most gladly spend and be utterly spent for your sakes. If I love you more, am I to be loved less? 16 But granted that I myself did not burden you, yet I was crafty and got the better of you by deceit.i
Evangile English	40 He went back across the Jordan to the place where John first baptized, and there he remained.x 41 Many came to him and said, “John performed no sign,* but everything John said about this man was true.” 42 And many there began to believe in him.y
