Lecture Arabic	1 فإِنَّ مَلْكِيصَادِقَ هـذَا، مَلِكَ شَلِيم، هُوَ كَاهِنُ اللهِ العَلِيّ، الَّذي خَرَجَ لِمُلاَقَاةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرِّاجِعِ مِن بَعْدِ أَنْ هَزَمَ الـمُلُوك، وبَارَكَهُ. 2 وأَدَّى لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ العُشْرَ مِن كُلِّ شَيء. وتَفْسِيرُ اسْمِهِ أَوَّلاً مَلِكُ البِرّ، ثُمَّ مَلِكُ شَلِيم أَيْ مَلِكُ السَّلام. 3 ولَيْسَ لَهُ أَبٌ، ولا أُمٌّ، ولا نَسَبٌ، ولا بِدَايَةُ أَيَّام، ولا نِهَايَةُ حَيَاة، وقَدْ شُبِّهَ بِابْنِ الله، ويَبْقى كاهِنًا إِلى الأَبَد. 4 فَانْظُرُوا ما أَعْظَمَ ذـلِكَ الـَّذي أَعْطاهُ إِبْراهِيمُ أَبُو الآبَاءِ العُشْرَ مِن خِيرَةِ غَنَائِمِهِ. 5 فإِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَقْبَلُونَ الكَهَنُوتَ مِنْ بَنِي لاوِي، لَهُم وَصِيَّةٌ بِمُقْتَضَى الشَّرِيعَةِ أَنْ يَأْخُذُوا العُشْرَ مِنَ الشَّعْب، أَيْ مِن إِخْوَتِهِمِ الَّذِينَ هُم مِن صُلْبِ إِبْراهِيم. 6 أَمَّا مَلْكِيصَادِق، الَّذي لَيْسَ لَهُ نَسَبٌ مِنْ بَنِي لاوِي، فَقَدْ أَخَذَ العُشْرَ مِن إِبْراهِيم، وبَارَكَ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ الوُعُود! 7 ومِمَّا لا خِلافَ فيهِ أَنَّ الأَصْغَرَ يَتَلَقَّى البَرَكَةَ مِنَ الأَكْبَر. 8 ثُمَّ إِنَّ الـَّذِينَ يَأْخُذُونَ العُشْرَ هـهُنَا بَشَرٌ مائِتُون، أَمَّا هُنَاكَ فإِنَّهُ إِنْسَانٌ مَشْهُودٌ لَهُ بِأَنَّهُ حَيّ. 9 وإِنْ صَحَّ القَوْل، فَإِنَّ لاوِي نَفْسَهُ، الَّذي يَأْخُذُ العُشُور، قَدْ أَعْطى العُشْرَ لِمَلْكِيصَادِقَ مِنْ خِلالِ إِبْرَاهِيم، 10 لأَنَّهُ كانَ بَعْدُ في صُلْبِ إِبْراهِيمَ أَبِيه، يَومَ خَرَجَ مَلْكِيصَادِقُ لِمُلاقَاتِهِ.
Evangile Arabic	22 ولَمَّا تَمَّتْ أَيَّامُ تَطْهِيرهِمَا بِحَسَبِ تَورَاةِ مُوسَى، صَعِدَا بِهِ إِلى أُورَشَلِيمَ لِيُقَدِّماهُ للرَّبّ، 23 كمَا هُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ في شَرِيعَةِ الرَّبّ: "كُلُّ ذَكَرٍ فَاتِحِ رَحِمٍ يُدْعَى مُقَدَّسًا لِلرَّبّ"، 24 ولِكَي يُقدِّمَا ذَبِيحَة، كَمَا وَرَدَ في شَرِيعَةِ الرَّبّ: "زَوجَيْ يَمَام، أَو فَرْخَيْ حَمَام".

Lecture French	01 Ce Melkisédek était roi de Salem, prêtre du Dieu très-haut ; il vint à la rencontre d’Abraham quand celui-ci rentrait de son expédition contre les rois ; il le bénit, 02 et Abraham lui remit le dixième de tout ce qu’il avait pris. D’abord, Melkisédek porte un nom qui veut dire « roi de justice » ; ensuite, il est roi de Salem, c’est-à-dire roi « de paix », 03 et à son sujet on ne parle ni de père ni de mère, ni d’ancêtres, ni d’un commencement d’existence ni d’une fin de vie ; cela le fait ressembler au Fils de Dieu : il demeure prêtre pour toujours. 04 Regardez comme il est grand, celui à qui Abraham, le patriarche, a donné la dîme de son meilleur butin. 05 Or, selon la loi de Moïse, les fils de Lévi qui reçoivent le sacerdoce ont l’ordre de percevoir la dîme sur le peuple, c’est-à-dire sur leurs frères, qui pourtant sont issus d’Abraham, eux aussi. 06 Melkisédek, lui qui n’était pas d’ascendance lévitique, a soumis Abraham à la dîme, et il a béni celui qui possédait les promesses. 07 Or il est indiscutable que c’est toujours le supérieur qui bénit l’inférieur. 08 D’ordinaire, ceux qui perçoivent la dîme sont des hommes qui meurent, et ici, on atteste que celui-là reste en vie. 09 À travers Abraham, Lévi lui-même, qui normalement perçoit la dîme, a été, pour ainsi dire, soumis à la dîme, 10 car il était en germe dans le corps de son ancêtre quand Melkisédek vint à la rencontre de celui-ci.
Evangile French	22 Quand fut accompli le temps prescrit par la loi de Moïse pour la purification, les parents de Jésus l’amenèrent à Jérusalem pour le présenter au Seigneur, 23 selon ce qui est écrit dans la Loi : Tout premier-né de sexe masculin sera consacré au Seigneur. 24 Ils venaient aussi offrir le sacrifice prescrit par la loi du Seigneur : un couple de tourterelles ou deux petites colombes.

Lecture English	1 * This “Melchizedek, king of Salem and priest of God Most High,”* “met Abraham as he returned from his defeat of the kings” and “blessed him.”a 2 * And Abraham apportioned to him “a tenth of everything.” His name first means righteous king, and he was also “king of Salem,” that is, king of peace. 3 Without father, mother, or ancestry, without beginning of days or end of life,* thus made to resemble the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.b 4 * See how great he is to whom the patriarch “Abraham [indeed] gave a tenth” of his spoils.c 5 The descendants of Levi who receive the office of priesthood have a commandment according to the law to exact tithes from the people, that is, from their brothers, although they also have come from the loins of Abraham.d 6 But he who was not of their ancestry received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had received the promises. 7 Unquestionably, a lesser person is blessed by a greater.* 8 In the one case, mortal men receive tithes; in the other, a man of whom it is testified that he lives on. 9 One might even say that Levi* himself, who receives tithes, was tithed through Abraham, 10 for he was still in his father’s loins when Melchizedek met him.
Evangile English	22 * When the days were completed for their purification* according to the law of Moses, they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord,h 23 just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord,”i 24 and to offer the sacrifice of “a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons,” in accordance with the dictate in the law of the Lord.
