Lecture Arabic	11 فَانْظُرُوا حُزْنَكُم هـذَا الـمُرْضِيَ للهِ كَم أَنْشَأَ فِيكُم مِنَ الاِجْتِهَاد، بَلْ مِنَ الاِعْتِذَار، بَلْ مِنَ الاِسْتِنْكَار، بَلْ مِنَ الـخَوْف، بَلْ مِنَ الشَّوْق، بَلْ مِنَ الغَيْرَة، بَلْ مِنَ الإِصْرَارِ عَلى العِقَاب! وقَدْ أَظْهَرْتُم أَنْفُسَكُم في كُلِّ ذـلِكَ أَنَّكُم أَبْرِيَاءُ مِنَ هـذَا الأَمْر. 12 فَإِنْ كُنْتُ قَدْ كَتَبْتُ إِلَيْكُم، فَلَيْسَ ذـلِكَ بِسَبَبِ مَنْ أَسَاء، ولا بِسَبَبِ مَنْ أُسِيءَ إِلَيْه، بَلْ لِيَظْهَرَ لَكُم أَمَامَ اللهِ مَدَى اجْتِهَادِكُم مِنْ أَجْلِنَا. 13 لِذـلِكَ تَعَزَّيْنَا، وفَوْقَ تَعْزِيَتِنَا هـذِهِ، فَرِحْنَا بِالأَكْثَرِ لِفَرَحِ طِيطُس، لأَنَّ رُوحَهُ اسْتَرَاحَتْ بِكُم جَمِيعًا. 14 وإِنْ كُنْتُ قَدِ افْتَخَرْتُ بِكُم في شَيء، أَمَامَ طِيطُس، فَلَمْ أُخَيَّبْ! بَلْ كَمَا كَلَّمْنَاكُم بِصِدْقٍ في كُلِّ شَيء، كَذـلِكَ كُنَّا صَادِقِينَ بِافْتِخَارِنَا بِكُم أَمَامَ طِيطُس. 15 فَقَلْبُهُ يَزْدَادُ حَنِينًا إِلَيْكُم، وهوَ يَتَذَكَّرُ طَاعَتَكُم جَمِيعًا، كَيْفَ قَبِلْتُمُوهُ بِخَوفٍ وَرِعْدَة. 16 وأَنَا أَفْرَحُ لأَنِّي أَثِقُ بِكُم في كُلِّ شَيء.
Evangile Arabic	38 وبَعْدَ ذـلِك، سَأَلَ يُوسُفُ الرَّامي بِيلاطُسَ أَنْ يُنْزِلَ جَسَدَ يَسُوع. وكَانَ يُوسُفُ هـذَا تِلمِيذًا لِيَسُوع، ولـكِنْ في الـخَفَاء، خَوْفًا مِنَ اليَهُود. وسَمَحَ لَهُ بِيلاطُس، فَذَهَبَ وأَنْزَلَ جَسَدَ يَسُوع. 39 وجَاءَ نِيقُودِيْمُوسُ أَيْضًا، وهُوَ الَّذي أَتى إِلى يَسُوعَ لَيْلاً مِنْ قَبْلُ، ومَعَهُ مَا يُنَاهِزُ ثَلاثِينَ لِيترًا مِنْ طُيُوبِ الـمُرِّ والعُود. 40 فَأَخَذَا جَسَدَ يَسُوع، وسَكَبَا عَلَيْهِ الطُّيُوب، ورَبَطُوهُ بِرِبَاطَاتٍ مِنْ كَتَّان، جَرْيًا عَلى عَادَةِ اليَهُودِ في دَفْنِ مَوْتَاهُم. 41 وكَانَ في الـمَكَانِ الَّذي صُلِبَ فِيهِ بُسْتَان، وفي البُسْتَانِ قَبْرٌ جَدِيدٌ لَمْ يُدْفَنْ فِيهِ أَحَد. 42 وإِذْ كَانَتْ تَهْيِئَةُ اليَهُود، وكَانَ القَبْرُ قَريبًا، وَضَعَا هُنَاكَ يَسُوع.

Lecture French	11 Mais la tristesse vécue selon Dieu, voyez ce qu’elle a produit chez vous. Quel empressement ! Quelles excuses ! Quelle indignation ! Quelle crainte ! Quel désir ! Quel zèle ! Quelle juste punition ! En tous points, vous avez prouvé que vous étiez irréprochables dans cette affaire. 12 Bref, même si je vous ai écrit, ce n’est pas à cause de l’offenseur ni à cause de l’offensé, mais pour rendre manifeste à vos yeux devant Dieu l’empressement que vous avez pour nous. 13 Voilà ce qui fait notre réconfort. En plus de ce réconfort, nous nous sommes réjouis, encore bien davantage, en voyant la joie de Tite : son esprit a été pleinement tranquillisé par vous tous. 14 Devant lui j’avais montré quelque fierté à votre sujet, et je n’ai pas eu à en rougir ; à vous, nous avons toujours parlé en vérité ; de même, notre fierté devant Tite est apparue fondée en vérité. 15 Et sa tendresse à votre égard grandit encore quand il se souvient de votre obéissance à tous, comment vous l’avez accueilli avec crainte et profond respect. 16 Quelle joie pour moi d’avoir pleine confiance en vous !
Evangile French	38 Après cela, Joseph d’Arimathie, qui était disciple de Jésus, mais en secret par crainte des Juifs, demanda à Pilate de pouvoir enlever le corps de Jésus. Et Pilate le permit. Joseph vint donc enlever le corps de Jésus. 39 Nicodème – celui qui, au début, était venu trouver Jésus pendant la nuit – vint lui aussi ; il apportait un mélange de myrrhe et d’aloès pesant environ cent livres. 40 Ils prirent donc le corps de Jésus, qu’ils lièrent de linges, en employant les aromates selon la coutume juive d’ensevelir les morts. 41 À l’endroit où Jésus avait été crucifié, il y avait un jardin et, dans ce jardin, un tombeau neuf dans lequel on n’avait encore déposé personne. 42 À cause de la Préparation de la Pâque juive, et comme ce tombeau était proche, c’est là qu’ils déposèrent Jésus.

Lecture English	11 For behold what earnestness this godly sorrow has produced for you, as well as readiness for a defense, and indignation, and fear, and yearning, and zeal, and punishment. In every way you have shown yourselves to be innocent in the matter. 12 So then even though I wrote to you, it was not on account of the one who did the wrong, or on account of the one who suffered the wrong, but in order that your concern for us might be made plain to you in the sight of God.e 13 For this reason we are encouraged. And besides our encouragement,* we rejoice even more because of the joy of Titus, since his spirit has been refreshed by all of you. 14 For if I have boasted to him about you, I was not put to shame. No, just as everything we said to you was true, so our boasting before Titus proved to be the truth. 15 And his heart goes out to you all the more, as he remembers the obedience of all of you, when you received him with fear and trembling.f 16 I rejoice, because I have confidence in you in every respect.
Evangile English	38 w After this, Joseph of Arimathea, secretly a disciple of Jesus for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. And Pilate permitted it. So he came and took his body. 39 Nicodemus, the one who had first come to him at night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes weighing about one hundred pounds.x 40 They took the body of Jesus and bound it with burial cloths along with the spices, according to the Jewish burial custom. 41 Now in the place where he had been crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had yet been buried. 42 So they laid Jesus there because of the Jewish preparation day; for the tomb was close by.
