Lecture Arabic	20 ومَا صَارَ ذـلِكَ كُلُّهُ بِغَيرِ قَسَم، لأَنَّ أُولـئِكَ اللاَّوِيِّينَ صَارُوا كَهَنَةً بِغَيرِ قَسَم، 21 أَمَّا يَسُوعُ فَبِقَسَمٍ مِنَ القَائِلِ لهُ: "أَقْسَمَ الرَّبُّ ولَنْ يَنْدَمَ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ كَاهِنٌ إِلى الأَبَد". 22 فعَلى أَساسِ ذـلِكَ القَسَم، صارَ يَسُوعُ ضَمَانَةً لِعَهْدٍ أَفْضَل. 23 ثُمَّ إِنَّ أُولـئِكَ كَانُوا كَهَنَةً كَثِيرِين، لأَنَّ الـمَوْتَ كانَ يَمْنَعُ بَقَاءَهُم. 24 أَمَّا يَسُوع، فَبِمَا أَنَّهُ بَاقٍ إِلى الأَبَد، فلا زَوَالَ لِكَهَنُوتِهِ. 25 ومِنْ ثَمَّ فَهُوَ قَادِرٌ أَنْ يُخَلِّصَ الَّذِينَ يتَقَرَّبُونَ بِهِ إِلى اللهِ خَلاصًا تَامًّا، لأَنَّهُ حيٌّ على الدَّوامِ لِيَشْفَعَ لَهُم. 26 أَجَل، كانَ يُلائِمُنَا عَظِيمُ أَحْبَارٍ مِثْلُ هـذَا، قُدُّوس، بَرِيء، نَقِيّ، قَدِ انْفَصَلَ عنِ الـخَطأَة، وصَارَ أَعْلَى مِنَ السَّمَاوَات. 27 وهُوَ غَيرُ مُضْطَرٍّ كُلَّ يَوْم، كَعُظَمَاءِ الأَحْبَار، أَنْ يُقَرِّبَ ذَبَائِحَ عَنْ خَطايَاهُ هُوَ أَوَّلاً، ثُمَّ عَنْ خَطايَا الشَّعْب، لأَنَّهُ فَعَلَ ذـلِكَ مَرَّةً واحِدَةً حينَ قَرَّبَ نَفْسَهُ. 28 فَالشَّرِيعَةُ تُقِيمُ عُظَمَاءَ أَحْبَارٍ أُنَاسًا ضُعَفَاء، أَمَّا كَلِمَةُ القَسَم، الَّتي جَاءَتْ بَعْدَ الشَّرِيعَة، فَتُقِيمُ الابْنَ عَظِيمَ أَحْبَارٍ جُعِلَ كَامِلاً إِلى الأَبَد.
Evangile Arabic	25 وكانَ في أُورَشَلِيمَ رَجُلٌ اسْمُهُ سِمْعَان. وكانَ هـذَا الرَّجُلُ بَارًّا تَقِيًّا، يَنْتَظِرُ عَزَاءَ إِسْرَائِيل، والرُّوحُ القُدُسُ كانَ عَلَيْه. 26 وكانَ الرُّوحُ القُدُسُ قَدْ أَوْحَى إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَنْ يَرَى الـمَوْتَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرَى مَسِيحَ الرَّبّ. 27 فجَاءَ بِدَافِعٍ مِنَ الرُّوحِ إِلى الـهَيْكَل. وعِنْدَما دَخَلَ بِالصَّبِيِّ يَسُوعَ أَبَوَاه، لِيَقُومَا بِمَا تَفْرِضُهُ التَّورَاةُ في شَأْنِهِ، 28 حَمَلَهُ سِمْعَانُ على ذِرَاعَيْه، وبَارَكَ اللهَ وقَال: 29 "أَلآنَ تُطْلِقُ عَبْدَكَ بِسَلام، أَيُّهَا السَّـيِّد، بِحَسَبِ قَولِكَ، 30 لأَنَّ عَيْنَيَّ قَدْ أَبْصَرَتا خَلاصَكَ، 31 أَلَّذِي أَعْدَدْتَهُ أَمَامَ الشُّعُوبِ كُلِّهَا، 32 نُوْرًا يَنْجَلي لِلأُمَم، ومَجْدًا لِشَعْبِكَ إِسْرَائِيل!". 33 وكانَ أَبُوهُ وأُمُّهُ يَتَعَجَّبَانِ مِمَّا يُقَالُ فِيه. 34 وبَارَكَهُمَا سِمْعَان، وقَالَ لِمَرْيَمَ أُمِّهِ: "هَا إنَّ هـذَا الطِّفْلَ قَدْ جُعِلَ لِسُقُوطِ ونُهُوضِ كَثِيرينَ في إِسْرَائِيل، وآيَةً لِلخِصَام. 35 وأَنْتِ أَيْضًا، سَيَجُوزُ في نَفْسِكِ سَيْف، فتَنْجَلي خَفَايَا قُلُوبٍ كَثيرَة".

Lecture French	20 Cela ne s’est pas fait sans qu’il y ait eu prestation de serment : en effet, tandis que les autres devenaient prêtres sans aucun serment, 21 celui-là a fait l’objet d’un serment de la part de celui qui lui a dit : Le Seigneur l’a juré dans un serment irrévocable ; toi, tu es prêtre pour l’éternité. 22 Pour cette raison, Jésus est devenu le garant d’une alliance meilleure. 23 Jusque-là, un grand nombre de prêtres se sont succédé parce que la mort les empêchait de rester en fonction. 24 Jésus, lui, parce qu’il demeure pour l’éternité, possède un sacerdoce qui ne passe pas. 25 C’est pourquoi il est capable de sauver d’une manière définitive ceux qui par lui s’avancent vers Dieu, car il est toujours vivant pour intercéder en leur faveur. 26 C’est bien le grand prêtre qu’il nous fallait : saint, innocent, immaculé ; séparé maintenant des pécheurs, il est désormais plus haut que les cieux. 27 Il n’a pas besoin, comme les autres grands prêtres, d’offrir chaque jour des sacrifices, d’abord pour ses péchés personnels, puis pour ceux du peuple ; cela, il l’a fait une fois pour toutes en s’offrant lui-même. 28 La loi de Moïse établit comme grands prêtres des hommes remplis de faiblesse ; mais la parole du serment divin, qui vient après la Loi, établit comme grand prêtre le Fils, conduit pour l’éternité à sa perfection.
Evangile French	25 Or, il y avait à Jérusalem un homme appelé Syméon. C’était un homme juste et religieux, qui attendait la Consolation d’Israël, et l’Esprit Saint était sur lui. 26 Il avait reçu de l’Esprit Saint l’annonce qu’il ne verrait pas la mort avant d’avoir vu le Christ, le Messie du Seigneur. 27 Sous l’action de l’Esprit, Syméon vint au Temple. Au moment où les parents présentaient l’enfant Jésus pour se conformer au rite de la Loi qui le concernait, 28 Syméon reçut l’enfant dans ses bras, et il bénit Dieu en disant : 29 « Maintenant, ô Maître souverain, tu peux laisser ton serviteur s’en aller en paix, selon ta parole. 30 Car mes yeux ont vu le salut 31 que tu préparais à la face des peuples : 32 lumière qui se révèle aux nations et donne gloire à ton peuple Israël. » 33 Le père et la mère de l’enfant s’étonnaient de ce qui était dit de lui. 34 Syméon les bénit, puis il dit à Marie sa mère : « Voici que cet enfant provoquera la chute et le relèvement de beaucoup en Israël. Il sera un signe de contradiction 35 – et toi, ton âme sera traversée d’un glaive – : ainsi seront dévoilées les pensées qui viennent du cœur d’un grand nombre. »

Lecture English	20 * And to the degree that this happened not without the taking of an oath*—for others became priests without an oath, 21 but he with an oath, through the one who said to him: “The Lord has sworn, and he will not repent:i ‘You are a priest forever’”— 22 j to that same degree has Jesus [also] become the guarantee of an [even] better covenant.* 23 Those priests were many because they were prevented by death from remaining in office, 24 but he, because he remains forever, has a priesthood that does not pass away.k 25 * Therefore, he is always able to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to make intercession for them.l 26 m It was fitting that we should have such a high priest:* holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, higher than the heavens.* 27 He has no need, as did the high priests, to offer sacrifice day after day,*n first for his own sins and then for those of the people; he did that once for all when he offered himself. 28 For the law appoints men subject to weakness to be high priests, but the word of the oath, which was taken after the law, appoints a son, who has been made perfect forever.o
Evangile English	25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel,* and the holy Spirit was upon him. 26 It had been revealed to him by the holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord. 27 He came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform the custom of the law in regard to him, 28 he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying: 29 “Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, 30 for my eyes have seen your salvation,j 31 which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, 32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.”k 33 The child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about him; 34 and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradictedl 35 (and you yourself a sword will pierce)* so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
