Lecture Arabic	1 إِذًا، فَبِمَا أَنَّنَا قَدْ بُرِّرْنَا بِالإِيْمَان، صَارَ لَنَا سَلامٌ مَعَ اللهِ بِرَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح؛ 2 وبِهِ أَيْضًا صَارَ لَنَا الوُصُولُ بِالإِيْمَانِ إِلى هـذِهِ النِّعْمَةِ الَّتي نَحْنُ فيهَا ثَابِتُون، وصَارَ لَنَا افْتِخَارٌ بِرَجَاءِ مَجْدِ الله. 3 ولَيْسَ هـذَا فَحَسْب، بَلْ نَفْتَخِرُ أَيْضًا بِالضِّيقَات، عَالِمينَ أَنَّ الضِّيقَ يُوَلِّدُ الصَّبْر، 4 والصَّبْرَ يُوَلِّدُ الاخْتِبَار، والاخْتِبَارَ يُوَلِّدُ الرَّجَاء، 5 والرَّجَاءُ لا يُخَيِّب، لأَنَّ مَحَبَّةَ اللهِ أُفيضَتْ في قُلُوبِنَا بِالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ الَّذي وُهِبَ لَنَا. 6 فلَمَّا كُنَّا بَعْدُ ضُعَفَاء، مَاتَ الـمَسِيحُ في الوَقْتِ الـمُحَدَّدِ عَنِ الكَافِرِين. 7 ولا يَكَادُ أَحَدٌ يَمُوتُ مِنْ أَجْلِ إِنْسَانٍ بَارّ، وقَدْ يَجْرُؤُ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَمُوتَ مِنْ أَجْلِ إِنْسَانٍ صَالِح، 8 أَمَّا اللهُ فَأَثْبَتَ مَحَبَّتَهُ لَنَا بأَنَّنَا، حينَ كُنَّا بَعْدُ خَطَأَة، مَاتَ الـمَسيحُ مِنْ أَجْلِنَا. إِذًا، فَكَمْ بالأَحْرَى، وقَدْ بُرِّرْنَا الآنَ بِدَمِهِ، نَخْلُصُ بِهِ مِنَ الغَضَبِ الآتِي! 9 فإِنْ كُنَّا، ونَحْنُ أَعْدَاء، قَدْ صَالَحَنَا اللهُ بِمَوْتِ ابْنِهِ، فَكَمْ بالأَحْرَى، ونَحْنُ مُصَالَحُون، نَخْلُصُ بِحَيَاتِهِ! 10 ولَيْسَ هـذَا فَحَسْب، بَلْ نَفْتَخِرُ أَيْضًا باللهِ بِوَاسِطَةِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح، الَّذي بِهِ نِلْنَا الآنَ الـمُصَالَحَة. 11 لِذـلِكَ كَمَا دَخَلَتِ الـخَطِيئَةُ إِلَى العَالَمِ بِإِنْسَانٍ وَاحِد، وَبِالـخَطيئَةِ دَخَلَ الـمَوْت، هـكَذَا سَرى الـمَوْتُ إِلَى جَميعِ النَّاس، بِمَا أَنَّهُم جَميعَهُم خَطِئُوا.
Evangile Arabic	1 في السَّنَةِ الـخَامِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ مِنْ حُكْمِ طِيبَاريُوسَ قَيْصَر، يَوْمَ كانَ بُنْطُسُ بِيلاطُسُ والِيًا على اليَهُودِيَّة، وهِيرُودُسُ رَئِيسَ رُبْعٍ على الـجَلِيل، وفِيلِبُّسُ أَخُوهُ رَئيسَ رُبْعٍ على بِلادِ إِيطُورِيَّةَ وتَراخُونِيتِس، ولِيسَانِيوسُ رَئِيسَ رُبْعٍ على أَبِيلِينَة، 2 في أَيَّامِ حَنَّانَ وقَيَافَا عَظِيمَي الأَحْبَار، كَانَتْ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ إِلى يُوحَنَّا بنِ زَكَرِيَّا في البَرِّيَّة. 3 فأَتَى إِلى كُلِّ جِوَارِ الأُرْدُنِّ يُنَادِي بِمَعْمُودِيَّةِ التَّوْبَة، لِمَغْفِرَةِ الـخَطايَا، 4 كمَا هُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ في كِتَابِ أَقْوَالِ آشَعْيَا النَّبِيّ : "صَوْتُ صَارِخٍ في البَرِّيَّة: أَعِدُّوا طَرِيقَ الرَّبّ، واجْعَلُوا سُبُلَهُ قَويـمَة. 5 كُلُّ وادٍ يُرْدَم، وكُلُّ جَبَلٍ وتَلٍّ يُخْفَض، وتَصِيرُ السُّبُلُ الـمُلْتَوِيةُ مُسْتَقِيمَة، والأَمَاكِنُ الوَعِرَةُ طُرُقًا سَهْلَة، 6 ويَرَى كُلُّ بَشَرٍ خَلاصَ الله". 7 وكانَ يُوحَنَّا يَقُولُ لِلْجُمُوعِ الَّذينَ خَرَجُوا إِلَيْهِ لِيَعتَمِدُوا على يَدِهِ: "يَا نَسْلَ الأَفَاعِي، مَنْ دَلَّكُم على الـهَرَبِ مِنَ الغَضَبِ الآتي؟ 8 أَلا أَثْمِرُوا ثِمَارًا تَليقُ بالتَّوبَة، ولا تَبْدَأُوا تَقُولُونَ في أَنْفُسِكُم: إنَّ أَبَانَا هُوَ إِبْرَاهِيم. فَأَنَا أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنَّ اللهَ قَادِرٌ أَنْ يُقِيمَ مِنْ هـذِهِ الـحِجَارَةِ أَوْلادًا لإِبْرَاهِيم. 9 هَا هِيَ الفَأْسُ على أُصُولِ الشَّجَر، فَكُلُّ شَجَرَةٍ لا تُثْمِرُ ثَمَرًا طَيِّبًا تُقْطَعُ وتُلْقَى في النَّار". 10 وكانَ الـجُمُوعُ يَسْأَلُونَ يُوحَنَّا قَائِلِين: "إِذًا فَمَاذا نَعْمَلْ؟". 11 وكَانَ يُجِيُبُهُم قَائِلاً: "مَنْ لَهُ ثَوْبَانِ فَلْيُعْطِ مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ؛ ومَنْ لَهُ طَعَامٌ فَلْيَعمَلْ كذـلِكَ". 12 وأَتَى أَيْضًا عَشَّارُونَ لِيَعْتَمِدُوا، فقَالُوا لَهُ: "يَا مُعَلِّم، مَاذَا نَعْمَل؟". 13 فقَالَ لَهُم: "لا تَجْبُوا مِنَ الضَّرَائِبِ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا فُرِضَ لَكُم". 14 وسَأَلَهُ أَيْضًا جُنُودٌ قائِلين: "ونَحْنُ مَاذَا نَعْمَل؟". فقَالَ لَهُم: "لا تَظْلِمُوا أَحَدًا، ولا تَفْتَرُوا على أَحَد، واكْتَفُوا بِأُجُورِكُم".

Lecture French	01 Nous qui sommes donc devenus justes par la foi, nous voici en paix avec Dieu par notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, 02 lui qui nous a donné, par la foi, l’accès à cette grâce dans laquelle nous sommes établis ; et nous mettons notre fierté dans l’espérance d’avoir part à la gloire de Dieu. 03 Bien plus, nous mettons notre fierté dans la détresse elle-même, puisque la détresse, nous le savons, produit la persévérance ; 04 la persévérance produit la vertu éprouvée ; la vertu éprouvée produit l’espérance ; 05 et l’espérance ne déçoit pas, puisque l’amour de Dieu a été répandu dans nos cœurs par l’Esprit Saint qui nous a été donné. 06 Alors que nous n’étions encore capables de rien, le Christ, au temps fixé par Dieu, est mort pour les impies que nous étions. 07 Accepter de mourir pour un homme juste, c’est déjà difficile ; peut-être quelqu’un s’exposerait-il à mourir pour un homme de bien. 08 Or, la preuve que Dieu nous aime, c’est que le Christ est mort pour nous, alors que nous étions encore pécheurs. 09 À plus forte raison, maintenant que le sang du Christ nous a fait devenir des justes, serons-nous sauvés par lui de la colère de Dieu. 10 En effet, si nous avons été réconciliés avec Dieu par la mort de son Fils alors que nous étions ses ennemis, à plus forte raison, maintenant que nous sommes réconciliés, serons-nous sauvés en ayant part à sa vie. 11 Bien plus, nous mettons notre fierté en Dieu, par notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, par qui, maintenant, nous avons reçu la réconciliation.
Evangile French	01 L’an quinze du règne de l’empereur Tibère, Ponce Pilate étant gouverneur de la Judée, Hérode étant alors au pouvoir en Galilée, son frère Philippe dans le pays d’Iturée et de Traconitide, Lysanias en Abilène, 02 les grands prêtres étant Hanne et Caïphe, la parole de Dieu fut adressée dans le désert à Jean, le fils de Zacharie. 03 Il parcourut toute la région du Jourdain, en proclamant un baptême de conversion pour le pardon des péchés, 04 comme il est écrit dans le livre des oracles d’Isaïe, le prophète : Voix de celui qui crie dans le désert : Préparez le chemin du Seigneur, rendez droits ses sentiers. 05 Tout ravin sera comblé, toute montagne et toute colline seront abaissées ; les passages tortueux deviendront droits, les chemins rocailleux seront aplanis ; 06 et tout être vivant verra le salut de Dieu. 07 Jean disait aux foules qui arrivaient pour être baptisées par lui : « Engeance de vipères ! Qui vous a appris à fuir la colère qui vient ? 08 Produisez donc des fruits qui expriment votre conversion. Ne commencez pas à vous dire : “Nous avons Abraham pour père”, car je vous dis que, de ces pierres, Dieu peut faire surgir des enfants à Abraham. 09 Déjà la cognée se trouve à la racine des arbres : tout arbre qui ne produit pas de bons fruits va être coupé et jeté au feu. » 10 Les foules lui demandaient : « Que devons-nous donc faire ? » 11 Jean leur répondait : « Celui qui a deux vêtements, qu’il partage avec celui qui n’en a pas ; et celui qui a de quoi manger, qu’il fasse de même ! » 12 Des publicains (c’est-à-dire des collecteurs d’impôts) vinrent aussi pour être baptisés ; ils lui dirent : « Maître, que devons-nous faire ? » 13 Il leur répondit : « N’exigez rien de plus que ce qui vous est fixé. » 14 Des soldats lui demandèrent à leur tour : « Et nous, que devons-nous faire ? » Il leur répondit : « Ne faites violence à personne, n’accusez personne à tort ; et contentez-vous de votre solde. »

Lecture English	1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace* with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,a 2 through whom we have gained access [by faith] to this grace in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God.b 3 Not only that, but we even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, 4 and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope,c 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us.d 6 For Christ, while we were still helpless, yet died at the appointed time for the ungodly. 7 Indeed, only with difficulty does one die for a just person, though perhaps for a good person one might even find courage to die.* 8 But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.e 9 How much more then, since we are now justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath.f 10 Indeed, if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, once reconciled, will we be saved by his life.g 11 Not only that, but we also boast of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Evangile English	1 In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar,* when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea,a and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene, 2 during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas,* the word of God came to Johnb the son of Zechariah in the desert. 3 * He went throughout [the] whole region of the Jordan, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins,c 4 * as it is written in the book of the words of the prophet Isaiah:d “A voice of one crying out in the desert: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord,e make straight his paths. 5 Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, 6 and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”f 7 He said to the crowds who came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?g 8 Produce good fruits as evidence of your repentance; and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God can raise up children to Abraham from these stones.h 9 Even now the ax lies at the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”i 10 And the crowds asked him, “What then should we do?” 11 He said to them in reply, “Whoever has two tunics should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food should do likewise.” 12 Even tax collectors came to be baptized and they said to him, “Teacher, what should we do?”j 13 He answered them, “Stop collecting more than what is prescribed.” 14 Soldiers also asked him, “And what is it that we should do?” He told them, “Do not practice extortion, do not falsely accuse anyone, and be satisfied with your wages.”
