Lecture Arabic	9 بَعْدَ ذـلِكَ رَأَيْتُ فَإِذَا جَمْعٌ غَفِير، مَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يُحْصِيَهُ، مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ وقَبِيلَةٍ وشَعْبٍ وَلِسَان، واقِفُونَ أَمامَ العَرْشِ وأَمَامَ الـحَمَل، مُوَشَّحُونَ بِالـحُلَلِ البَيْضاء، وَبِأَيْدِيهم سَعَفُ النَّخْل، 10 وهُمْ يَهْتِفُونَ بِصَوْتٍ عَظِيمٍ قائِلِين: "أَلـخَلاصُ لإِلـهِنَا الـجَـالِسِ عَلَى العَرْشِ وَلِلْحَمَل!". 11 وكانَ جَمِيعُ الـمَلائِكَةِ واقِفِينَ حَوْلَ العَرْشِ والشُّيُوخِ والأَحْياءِ الأَرْبَعَة، فَسَقَطُوا عَلى وُجُوهِهِمْ أَمَام العَرْشِ وَسَجَدُوا للهِ 12 قَائِلِين: "آمِين! أَلبَرَكَةُ والـمَجْدُ والـحِكْمَةُ والشُّكْرُ والكَرامَةُ والقُوَّةُ والقُدْرَةُ لإِلـهِنا إِلى أَبَدِ الآبِدِين. آمين". 13 فأَجابَ وَاحِدٌ مِنَ الشُّيوخِ وقَالَ لي: "هـؤُلاءِ الـمُوَشَّحُونَ بِالـحُلَلِ البَيْضاء، مَنْ هُمْ؟ ومِنْ أَيْنَ أَتَوا؟". 14 فقُلْتُ لَهُ: "سَيِّدي، أَنْتَ تَعْلَم!". فَقَالَ لي: "هـؤُلاءِ هُمُ الآتُونَ مِنَ الضِّيقِ الشَّدِيد، وقَدْ غَسَلُوا حُلَلَهُمْ وبَيَّضُوها بِدَمِ الـحَمَل! 15 لِذـلِكَ هُمْ أَمَامَ عَرْشِ الله، يَعْبُدُونَهُ في هَيْكَلِهِ نَهَارًا ولَيْلاً، والْجَالِسُ عَلَى العَرْشِ سَيُظَلِّلُهُمْ بِخَيْمَتِهِ، 16 فلا يَجُوعُونَ بَعْدُ، ولا يَعْطَشُونَ بَعْدُ، ولا تَلْفَحُهُمُ الشَّمْسُ ولا شَيْءٌ مِنَ الـحَرّ، 17 لأَنَّ الـحَمَلَ الَّذي في وَسَطِ العَرْشِ سَيَرْعَاهُم، ويُورِدُهُمْ إِلى يَنَابِيعِ مِيَاهِ الْحَيَاة، وسَيَمْسَحُ اللهُ كُلَّ دَمْعَةٍ مِنْ عُيُونِهِم".
Evangile Arabic	32 ومِنَ التِّينَةِ تَعلَّمُوا الـمَثَل: فَحِين تَلِينُ أَغْصَانُهَا، وتَنبُتُ أَوْرَاقُهَا، تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ الصَّيفَ قَرِيْب. 33 هـكَذَا أَنْتُم أَيْضًا، مَتَى رَأَيْتُم هـذَا كُلَّهُ، فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ ابْنَ الإِنْسَانِ قَرِيب، عَلى الأَبْوَاب. 34 أَلـحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُم: لَنْ يَزُولَ هـذَا الـجِيلُ حَتَّى يَحْدُثَ هـذَا كُلُّهُ. 35 أَلسَّمَاءُ والأَرْضُ تَزُولان، وكَلامِي لَنْ يَزُول. 36 أَمَّا ذـلِكَ اليَوْمُ وتِلْكَ السَّاعَةُ فلا يَعْرِفُهُمَا أَحَد، ولا مَلائِكَةُ السَّمَاوَات، إِلاَّ الآبُ وَحْدَهُ. 37 وكَمَا كَانَتْ أَيَّامُ نُوح، كَذـلِكَ يَكُونُ مَجِيءُ ابْنِ الإِنْسَان: 38 فَكَمَا كَانَ النَّاس، في الأَيَّامِ الَّتي سَبَقَتِ الطُّوفَان، يَأْكُلُونَ ويَشْرَبُون، يَتَزَوَّجُونَ ويُزَوِّجُون، إِلى يَوْمَ دَخَلَ نُوحٌ السَّفِينَة، 39 ومَا عَلِمُوا بِشَيءٍ حَتَّى جَاءَ الطُّوفَان، وجَرَفَهُم أَجْمَعِين، كَذـلِكَ يَكُونُ مَجِيءُ ابْنِ الإِنْسَان. 40 حِينَئِذٍ يَكُونُ اثْنَانِ في الـحَقل؛ يُؤْخَذُ الوَاحِدُ ويُتْرَكُ الآخَر. 41 وامْرَأَتَانِ تَطْحَنَانِ عَلى الرَّحَى؛ تُؤْخَذُ الوَاحِدَةُ وتُتْرَكُ الأُخْرَى. 42 إِسْهَرُوا إِذًا، لأَنَّكُم لا تَعْلَمُونَ في أَيِّ يَوْمٍ يَجِيءُ رَبُّكُم. 43 واعْلَمُوا هـذَا: لَو عَرَفَ رَبُّ البَيْتِ في أَيِّ سَاعَةٍ مِنَ اللَّيلِ يَأْتِي السَّارِق، لَسَهِرَ ولَمْ يَدَعْ بَيتَهُ يُنْقَب. 44 لِذـلِكَ كُونُوا أَنْتُم أَيْضًا مُسْتَعِدِّين، لأَنَّ ابْنَ الإِنْسَانِ يَجِيءُ في سَاعَةٍ لا تَخَالُونَهَا.

Lecture French	09 Après cela, j’ai vu : et voici une foule immense, que nul ne pouvait dénombrer, une foule de toutes nations, tribus, peuples et langues. Ils se tenaient debout devant le Trône et devant l’Agneau, vêtus de robes blanches, avec des palmes à la main. 10 Et ils s’écriaient d’une voix forte : « Le salut appartient à notre Dieu qui siège sur le Trône et à l’Agneau ! » 11 Tous les anges se tenaient debout autour du Trône, autour des Anciens et des quatre Vivants ; se jetant devant le Trône, face contre terre, ils se prosternèrent devant Dieu. 12 Et ils disaient : « Amen ! Louange, gloire, sagesse et action de grâce, honneur, puissance et force à notre Dieu, pour les siècles des siècles ! Amen ! » 13 L’un des Anciens prit alors la parole et me dit : « Ces gens vêtus de robes blanches, qui sont-ils, et d’où viennent-ils ? » 14 Je lui répondis : « Mon seigneur, toi, tu le sais. » Il me dit : « Ceux-là viennent de la grande épreuve ; ils ont lavé leurs robes, ils les ont blanchies par le sang de l’Agneau. 15 C’est pourquoi ils sont devant le trône de Dieu, et le servent, jour et nuit, dans son sanctuaire. Celui qui siège sur le Trône établira sa demeure chez eux. 16 Ils n’auront plus faim, ils n’auront plus soif, ni le soleil ni la chaleur ne les accablera, 17 puisque l’Agneau qui se tient au milieu du Trône sera leur pasteur pour les conduire aux sources des eaux de la vie. Et Dieu essuiera toute larme de leurs yeux. »
Evangile French	32 Laissez-vous instruire par la parabole du figuier : dès que ses branches deviennent tendres et que ses feuilles sortent, vous savez que l’été est proche. 33 De même, vous aussi, lorsque vous verrez tout cela, sachez que le Fils de l’homme est proche, à votre porte. 34 Amen, je vous le dis : cette génération ne passera pas avant que tout cela n’arrive. 35 Le ciel et la terre passeront, mes paroles ne passeront pas. 36 Quant à ce jour et à cette heure-là, nul ne les connaît, pas même les anges des cieux, pas même le Fils, mais seulement le Père, et lui seul. 37 Comme il en fut aux jours de Noé, ainsi en sera-t-il lors de la venue du Fils de l’homme. 38 En ces jours-là, avant le déluge, on mangeait et on buvait, on prenait femme et on prenait mari, jusqu’au jour où Noé entra dans l’arche ; 39 les gens ne se sont doutés de rien, jusqu’à ce que survienne le déluge qui les a tous engloutis : telle sera aussi la venue du Fils de l’homme. 40 Alors deux hommes seront aux champs : l’un sera pris, l’autre laissé. 41 Deux femmes seront au moulin en train de moudre : l’une sera prise, l’autre laissée. 42 Veillez donc, car vous ne savez pas quel jour votre Seigneur vient. 43 Comprenez-le bien : si le maître de maison avait su à quelle heure de la nuit le voleur viendrait, il aurait veillé et n’aurait pas laissé percer le mur de sa maison. 44 Tenez-vous donc prêts, vous aussi : c’est à l’heure où vous n’y penserez pas que le Fils de l’homme viendra.

Lecture English	9 After this I had a vision of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches* in their hands. 10 They cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation comes from* our God, who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb.” 11 All the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They prostrated themselves before the throne, worshiped God, 12 and exclaimed: “Amen. Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, power, and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” 13 Then one of the elders spoke up and said to me, “Who are these wearing white robes, and where did they come from?” 14 I said to him, “My lord, you are the one who knows.” He said to me, “These are the ones who have survived the time of great distress;* they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.d 15 “For this reason they stand before God’s throne and worship him day and night in his temple. The one who sits on the throne will shelter them. 16 They will not hunger or thirst anymore, nor will the sun or any heat strike them.e 17 For the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of life-giving water,* and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”f
Evangile English	32 “Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things, know that he is near, at the gates. 34 Amen, I say to you, this generation* will not pass away until all these things have taken place. 35 o Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. The Unknown Day and Hour.* 36 p “But of that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son,* but the Father alone. 37 * q For as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 In [those] days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day that Noah entered the ark. 39 They did not know until the flood came and carried them all away. So will it be [also] at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 * r Two men will be out in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken, and one will be left. 42 * s Therefore, stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come. 43 t Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into. 44 So too, you also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.
