Lecture Arabic	1 وَرأَيْتُ في يَمِينِ الـجَالِسِ عَلى العَرْشِ كِتَابًا مَخْطُوطًا مِنَ الدَّاخِلِ ومِنَ الـخَارِج، مَخْتُومًا بِسَبْعَةِ خُتُوم. 2 وَرأَيتُ مَلاكًا قَوِيًّا يُنَادِي بِصَوتٍ عَظِيم: "مَنْ هُوَ الـمُسْتَحِقُّ أَنْ يَفْتَحَ الكِتَابَ ويَفُضَّ خُتُومَهُ؟". 3 فمَا كَانَ أَحَدٌ في السَّمَاءِ ولا عَلَى الأَرْضِ ولا تَحْتَ الأَرْضِ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَفْتَحَ الكِتَاب، ولا أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْه! 4 فأَخَذْتُ أَبْكي بُكَاءً كَثِيرًا، لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يُوجَدْ أَحَدٌ مُسْتَحِقًّا أَنْ يَفْتَحَ الكِتَاب، ولا أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَيْه! 5 فَقَالَ لي واحِدٌ مِنَ الشُّيُوخ: "كُفَّ عَنِ البُكَاء! هُوَذَا الأَسَدُ الَّذي مِنْ سِبْطِ يَهُوذا، أَصْلُ داوُد، قَدْ ظَفِرَ لِيَفْتَحَ الكِتاَبَ وخُتُومَهُ السَّبْعَة". 6 ورَأَيْتُ في وَسَطِ العَرْشِ والأَحْيَاءِ الأَرْبَعَة، وفي وَسَطِ الشُّيُوخ، حَمَلاً واقِفًا كَأَنَّهُ مَذْبُوح، لَهُ سَبْعَةُ قُرُونٍ وسَبْعُ أَعْيُن، هِيَ أَرْوَاحُ اللهِ السَّبْعَةُ الْمُرْسَلَةُ إلى الأَرْضِ كُلِّهَا، 7 فَأَتَى وأَخَذَ الكِتابَ مِنْ يَمِينِ الـجَالِسِ عَلى العَرْش. 8 وَلَمَّا أَخَذَ الكِتَاب، سَقَطَ الأَحْيَاءُ الأَرْبَعَةُ والشُّيُوخُ الأَرْبَعَةُ والعِشْرُونَ أَمَامَ الْحَمَل، ومَعَ كُلٍّ مِنْهُم قِيثَارَةٌ وكُؤُوسٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ مَلأَى بَخُورًا، هِيَ صَلَواتُ القِدِّيسِين، 9 وَهُم يُرَنِّمُونَ تَرْنِيمَةً جَدِيدَةً قائِلِين: "إنَّكَ مُستَحِقٌّ أَن تَأْخُذَ الكِتَاب، وتَفْتَحَ خُتُومَهُ، لأَنَّكَ ذُبِحْتَ وافْتَدَيْتَنَا للهِ بِدَمِكَ من كُلِّ قَبِيلةٍ وَلِسَانٍ وشَعْبٍ وأُمَّة، 10 وَجَعَلْتَنا لإِلـهِنا مَمْلَكَةً وكَهَنَة، وَسَنَملِكُ عَلى الأَرْض".
Evangile Arabic	38 حينَئِذٍ أَجَابَهُ بَعْضُ الكَتَبَةِ والفَرِّيِسِيِّينَ قَائِلين: "يَا مُعَلِّم، نُرِيدُ أَنْ نَرَى مِنْكَ آيَة". 39 فَأَجَابَ وقَالَ لَهُم: "جِيْلٌ شِرِّيرٌ فَاجِرٌ يَطْلُبُ آيَة، ولَنْ يُعْطَى آيَةً إِلاَّ آيَةَ يُونَانَ النَّبِيّ. 40 فكَمَا كَانَ يُونَانُ في بَطْنِ الـحُوتِ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وثَلاثَ لَيَال، كَذـلِكَ سَيَكُونُ ابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ في قَلْبِ الأَرْضِ ثَلاثةَ أَيَّامٍ وثَلاثَ لَيَال. 41 رِجَالُ نِينَوَى سَيَقُومُونَ في الدَّيْنُونَةِ مَعَ هـذَا الـجِيلِ ويَدِينُونَهُ، لأَنَّهُم تَابُوا بِإِنْذَارِ يُونَان، وهَا هُنَا أَعْظَمُ مِنْ يُونَان! 42 مَلِكَةُ الـجَنُوبِ سَتَقُومُ في الدَّيْنُونَةِ مَعَ هـذَا الـجِيلِ وتَدِينُهُ، لأَنَّهَا جَاءَتْ مِنْ أَقَاصِي الأَرضِ لِتَسْمَعَ حِكْمَةَ سُلَيْمَان، وهَا هُنَا أَعْظَمُ مِنْ سُلَيْمَان!

Lecture French	01 J’ai vu, dans la main droite de celui qui siège sur le Trône, un livre en forme de rouleau, écrit au-dedans et à l’extérieur, scellé de sept sceaux. 02 Puis j’ai vu un ange plein de force, qui proclamait d’une voix puissante : « Qui donc est digne d’ouvrir le Livre et d’en briser les sceaux ? » 03 Mais personne, au ciel, sur terre ou sous la terre, ne pouvait ouvrir le Livre et regarder. 04 Je pleurais beaucoup, parce que personne n’avait été trouvé digne d’ouvrir le Livre et de regarder. 05 Mais l’un des Anciens me dit : « Ne pleure pas. Voilà qu’il a remporté la victoire, le lion de la tribu de Juda, le rejeton de David : il ouvrira le Livre aux sept sceaux. » 06 Et j’ai vu, entre le Trône, les quatre Vivants et les Anciens, un Agneau debout, comme égorgé ; ses cornes étaient au nombre de sept, ainsi que ses yeux, qui sont les sept esprits de Dieu envoyés sur toute la terre. 07 Il s’avança et prit le Livre dans la main droite de celui qui siégeait sur le Trône. 08 Quand l’Agneau eut pris le Livre, les quatre Vivants et les vingt-quatre Anciens se jetèrent à ses pieds. Ils tenaient chacun une cithare et des coupes d’or pleines de parfums qui sont les prières des saints. 09 Ils chantaient ce cantique nouveau : « Tu es digne, de prendre le Livre et d’en ouvrir les sceaux, car tu fus immolé, rachetant pour Dieu, par ton sang, des gens de toute tribu, langue, peuple et nation. 10 Pour notre Dieu, tu en as fait un royaume et des prêtres : ils régneront sur la terre. »
Evangile French	38 Quelques-uns des scribes et des pharisiens lui adressèrent la parole : « Maître, nous voudrions voir un signe venant de toi. » 39 Il leur répondit : « Cette génération mauvaise et adultère réclame un signe, mais, en fait de signe, il ne lui sera donné que le signe du prophète Jonas. 40 En effet, comme Jonas est resté dans le ventre du monstre marin trois jours et trois nuits, le Fils de l’homme restera de même au cœur de la terre trois jours et trois nuits. 41 Lors du Jugement, les habitants de Ninive se lèveront en même temps que cette génération, et ils la condamneront ; en effet, ils se sont convertis en réponse à la proclamation faite par Jonas, et il y a ici bien plus que Jonas. 42 Lors du Jugement, la reine de Saba se dressera en même temps que cette génération, et elle la condamnera ; en effet, elle est venue des extrémités de la terre pour écouter la sagesse de Salomon, et il y a ici bien plus que Salomon.

Lecture English	1 I saw a scroll* in the right hand of the one who sat on the throne. It had writing on both sides and was sealed with seven seals.a 2 Then I saw a mighty angel who proclaimed in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” 3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to examine it. 4 I shed many tears because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to examine it. 5 One of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. The lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David,* has triumphed, enabling him to open the scroll with its seven seals.”b 6 Then I saw standing in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures and the elders a Lamb* that seemed to have been slain. He had seven horns and seven eyes; these are the [seven] spirits of God sent out into the whole world.c 7 He came and received the scroll from the right hand of the one who sat on the throne. 8 When he took it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of the elders held a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the holy ones. 9 They sang a new hymn: “Worthy are you to receive the scroll and to break open its seals, for you were slain and with your blood you purchased for God those from every tribe and tongue, people and nation. 10 You made them a kingdom and priests for our God, and they will reign on earth.”d
Evangile English	38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to him, “Teacher,* we wish to see a sign from you.”u 39 He said to them in reply, “An evil and unfaithful* generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. 40 Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights,* so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. 41 * At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and there is something greater than Jonah here. 42 At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and there is something greater than Solomon here.v
