Lecture Arabic	14 لَسْتُ أَكْتُبُ إِلَيْكُم بِذ,لِكَ لأُخْجِلَكُم، بَلْ لأَنْصَحَكُم كأَوْلادِي الأَحِبَّاء! 15 ولَو كَانَ لَكُم عَشَرَاتُ الآلافِ مِنَ الـمُرَبِّينَ في الـمَسِيح، فَلَيْسَ لَكُم آبَاءٌ كَثِيرُون، لأَنِّي أَنَا ولَدْتُكُم بِبِشَارَةِ الإِنْجِيلِ في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوع. 16 أُنَاشِدُكُم إِذًا أَنْ تَقْتَدُوا بي. 17 كَذ,لِكَ أَرْسَلْتُ إِلَيْكُم طِيمُوتَاوُس، وهوَ لي وَلَدٌ حَبِيبٌ وأَمِينٌ في الرَّب، لِيُذَكِّرَكُم بِطُرُقِي في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوع، كَمَا أُعَلِّمُ في كُلِّ مَكَان، في كُلِّ كَنيسَة. 18 لَقَدْ ظَنَّ بَعْضُكُم أَنِّي لَنْ آتِيَ إِلَيْكُم، فَانْتَفَخُوا مِنَ الكِبْرِيَاء. 19 لـكِنِّي سَآتِي إِلَيْكُم عَاجِلاً، إِنْ شَاءَ الرَّبّ، فأَعْرِفُ لا كَلامَ أُولـئِكَ الـمُنْتَفِخِينَ بَلْ قُوَّتَهُم؛ 20 لأَنَّ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ لَيْسَ بالكَلاَمِ بَل بِالقُوَّة. 21 مَاذَا تُرِيدُون؟ أَنْ آتِيَكُم بالعَصَا، أَمْ بالـمَحَبَّةِ ورُوحِ الوَدَاعَة؟
Evangile Arabic	1 وأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ أَيْضًا بِالأَمْثَالِ فَقَالَ لَهُم: 2 "يُشْبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ السَّمَاوَاتِ مَلِكًا أَقَامَ عُرْسًا لابْنِهِ. 3 وأَرْسَلَ عَبِيْدَهُ لِيَدْعُوا الـمَدْعُوِّينَ إِلى العُرْس، فَرَفَضُوا أَنْ يَأْتُوا. 4 وعَادَ فَأَرْسَلَ عَبِيدًا آخَرِين، قَائِلاً: قُولُوا لِلْمَدعُوِّين: هَا أَنَا قَدْ أَعْدَدْتُ ولِيمَتِي، وذَبَحْتُ ثِيرَانِي ومُسَمَّنَاتِي، وكُلُّ شَيءٍ مُعَدّ. تَعَالَوا إِلى العُرْس. 5 ولـكِنَّ الـمَدْعُوِّينَ لَمْ يَكْتَرِثُوا، فَمَضَوا وَاحِدٌ إِلى حَقْلِهِ وآخَرُ إِلى تِجَارَتِهِ. 6 والبَاقُونَ قَبَضُوا عَلى عَبِيدِ الـمَلِكِ فَأَهَانُوهُم وقَتَلُوهُم. 7 فَغَضِبَ الـمَلِكُ وأَرْسَلَ جُنُودَهُ فَأَهْلَكَ أُولــئِكَ القَتَلَة، وأَحْرَقَ مَدِينَتَهُم. 8 حِينَئِذٍ قَالَ لِعَبِيدِهِ: أَلْعُرسُ مُعَدٌّ، ولـكِنَّ الـمَدْعُوِّينَ مَا كَانُوا لَهُ أَهلاً. 9 فَاذْهَبُوا إِلى مَفَارِقِ الطُّرُق، وَادْعُوا إِلى العُرْسِ كُلَّ مَنْ تَجِدُونَهُ. 10 وَخَرَجَ أُولـئِكَ العَبِيْدُ إِلى الطُّرُقِ فَجَمَعُوا كُلَّ مَنْ وَجَدُوا مِنْ أَشْرَارٍ وصَالِحِيْن، فَامْتَلأَتْ قَاعَةُ العُرْسِ بِالـمُتَّكِئِيْن. 11 ودَخَلَ الـمَلِكُ لِيَنْظُرَ الـمُتَّكِئِيْنَ فَرَأَى رَجُلاً لا يَلْبَسُ حُلَّةَ العُرْس. 12 فقَالَ لَهُ: يَا صَاحِب، كَيْفَ دَخَلْتَ إِلى هُنَا ولَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ حُلَّةُ العُرْس؟ فَظَلَّ صَامِتًا. 13 حِينَئِذٍ قَالَ الـمَلِكُ لِلْخُدَّام: أُرْبُطُوا رِجْلَيهِ ويَدَيْه، وأَخْرِجُوهُ إِلى الظُّلْمَةِ البَرَّانِيَّة. هُنَاكَ يَكُونُ البُكَاءُ وصَرِيفُ الأَسْنَان؛ 14 لأَنَّ الـمَدْعُوِّينَ كَثِيرُون، أَمَّا الـمُخْتَارُونَ فقَلِيلُون".

Lecture French	14 Je ne vous écris pas cela pour vous faire honte, mais pour vous reprendre comme mes enfants bien-aimés. 15 Car, dans le Christ, vous pourriez avoir dix mille guides, vous n’avez pas plusieurs pères : par l’annonce de l’Évangile, c’est moi qui vous ai donné la vie dans le Christ Jésus. 16 Aussi, je vous en prie : imitez-moi. 17 C’est pour cela que je vous ai envoyé Timothée, qui est mon enfant bien-aimé et fidèle dans le Seigneur ; il vous rappellera les voies que je trace dans le Christ Jésus, telles que je les enseigne partout dans toutes les Églises. 18 Pensant que je n’allais pas venir chez vous, quelques-uns se sont gonflés d’orgueil. 19 Or je viendrai bientôt chez vous, si le Seigneur le veut, et je prendrai connaissance, non pas de ce que disent ces gens gonflés d’orgueil, mais des actes dont ils sont capables. 20 Car le royaume de Dieu ne consiste pas dans la parole, mais dans la capacité d’agir. 21 Que préférez-vous : que je vienne chez vous muni d’un bâton, ou avec amour et en esprit de douceur ?
Evangile French	01 Jésus se mit de nouveau à leur parler et leur dit en paraboles : 02 « Le royaume des Cieux est comparable à un roi qui célébra les noces de son fils. 03 Il envoya ses serviteurs appeler à la noce les invités, mais ceux-ci ne voulaient pas venir. 04 Il envoya encore d’autres serviteurs dire aux invités : “Voilà : j’ai préparé mon banquet, mes bœufs et mes bêtes grasses sont égorgés ; tout est prêt : venez à la noce.” 05 Mais ils n’en tinrent aucun compte et s’en allèrent, l’un à son champ, l’autre à son commerce ; 06 les autres empoignèrent les serviteurs, les maltraitèrent et les tuèrent. 07 Le roi se mit en colère, il envoya ses troupes, fit périr les meurtriers et incendia leur ville. 08 Alors il dit à ses serviteurs : “Le repas de noce est prêt, mais les invités n’en étaient pas dignes. 09 Allez donc aux croisées des chemins : tous ceux que vous trouverez, invitez-les à la noce.” 10 Les serviteurs allèrent sur les chemins, rassemblèrent tous ceux qu’ils trouvèrent, les mauvais comme les bons, et la salle de noce fut remplie de convives. 11 Le roi entra pour examiner les convives, et là il vit un homme qui ne portait pas le vêtement de noce. 12 Il lui dit : “Mon ami, comment es-tu entré ici, sans avoir le vêtement de noce ?” L’autre garda le silence. 13 Alors le roi dit aux serviteurs : “Jetez-le, pieds et poings liés, dans les ténèbres du dehors ; là, il y aura des pleurs et des grincements de dents.” 14 Car beaucoup sont appelés, mais peu sont élus. »

Lecture English	14 I am writing you this not to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.* 15 Even if you should have countless guides to Christ, yet you do not have many fathers, for I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.g 16 Therefore, I urge you, be imitators of me.h 17 For this reason I am sending you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord; he will remind you of my ways in Christ [Jesus], just as I teach them everywhere in every church.i 18 * Some have become inflated with pride, as if I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you soon, if the Lord is willing, and I shall ascertain not the talk of these inflated people but their power. 20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.j 21 Which do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love and a gentle spirit?k
Evangile English	1 a Jesus again in reply spoke to them in parables, saying, 2 “The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast* for his son. 3 * He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. 4 A second time he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those invited: “Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves and fattened cattle are killed, and everything is ready; come to the feast.”’ 5 Some ignored the invitation and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. 6 b The rest laid hold of his servants, mistreated them, and killed them. 7 * The king was enraged and sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. 9 Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find.’ 10 The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike,* and the hall was filled with guests. 11 * But when the king came in to meet the guests he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. 12 He said to him, ‘My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment?’ But he was reduced to silence. 13 * c Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.’ 14 Many are invited, but few are chosen.”
