Lecture Arabic	1 لَوْ كُنْتُ أَنْطِقُ بِأَلْسِنَةِ النَّاسِ وَالـمَلائِكَة، ولَمْ تَكُنْ فِيَّ الـمَحَبَّة، فإِنَّمَا أَنَا نُحَاسٌ يَطِنّ، أَوْ صَنْجٌ يَرِنّ. 2 ولَوْ كَانَتْ لِيَ النُّبُوءَة، وَكُنْتُ أَعْلَمُ جَمِيعَ الأَسْرَارِ وَالعِلْمَ كُلَّهُ، ولَو كَانَ لِيَ الإِيْمَانُ كُلُّهُ حَتَّى أَنْقُلَ الـجِبَال، ولَمْ تَكُنْ فِيَّ المَحَبَّة، فَلَسْتُ بِشَيء. 3 ولَوْ بَذَلْتُ جَمِيعَ أَمْوَالِي لإِطْعَامِ الـمَسَاكِين، وأَسْلَمْتُ جَسَدِي لأُحْرَق، ولَمْ تَكُنْ فِيَّ الـمَحَبَّة، فلا أَنْتَفِعُ شَيْئًا. 4 الـمَحَبَّةُ تتَأَنَّى وتَرْفُق. الـمَحَبَّةُ لا تَحْسُد، ولا تَتَبَاهَى، ولا تَنْتَفِخ، 5 ولا تَأْتِي قَبَاحَة، ولا تَلْتَمِسُ مَا هوَ لَهَا، ولا تَحْتَدُّ، ولا تَظُنُّ السُّوء، 6 ولا تَفْرَحُ بِالظُّلْم، بَلْ تَفْرَحُ بِالـحَقّ، 7 وتَحْتَمِلُ كُلَّ شَيء، وتُصَدِّقُ كُلَّ شَيء، وتَرْجُو كُلَّ شَيء، وتَصْبِرُ عَلى كُلِّ شَيء. 8 الـمَحَبَّةُ لا تَسْقُطُ أَبَدًا. أَمَّا النُّبُوءَاتُ فَسَتُبْطَل، والأَلْسِنَةُ تَزُول، والعِلْمُ يُبْطَل. 9 فإِنَّا نَعْلَمُ عِلْمًا نَاقِصًا، ونَتَنَبَّأُ تَنَبُّؤًا نَاقِصًا، 10 فَمَتَى جَاءَ الكَامِلُ يُبْطَلُ النَّاقِص. 11 إِنِّي لَمَّا كُنْتُ طِفْلاً كُنْتُ أَنْطِقُ كَالطِّفْل، وأَعْقِلُ كَالطِّفْل، وأُفَكِرُّ كَالطِّفْل؛ فَلَمَّا صِرْتُ رَجُلاً أَبْطَلْتُ مَا هُوَ لِلطِّفْل؛ 12 لأَنَّنَا الآنَ نَنْظَرُ في مِرْآةٍ عَلى سَبِيلِ اللُّغْز، أَمَّا حِينَئِذٍ فَوَجْهًا إِلى وَجْه. إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ الآنَ عِلْمًا نَاقِصًا، أَمَّا حِينَئِذٍ فَسَأَعْلَمُ كَمَا عُلِمْتُ. 13 والَّذي يَثْبُتُ الآنَ هُوَ الإِيْمَانُ والرَّجَاءُ والـمَحَبَّة. هـذِهِ الثَّلاثَةُ وأَعْظَمُهُنَّ الـمَحَبَّة.
Evangile Arabic	28 مَا رَأْيُكُم؟ كَانَ لِرَجُلٍ ولَدَان. فَدَنَا مِنَ الأَوَّلِ وقَال: يَا وَلَدِي، إِذْهَبِ اليَومَ وَاعْمَلْ في الكَرْم. 29 فَأَجَابَ وقَال: لا أُرِيْد! وبَعْدَ ذـلِكَ نَدِمَ وذَهَب. 30 ثُمَّ دَنَا مِنَ الثَّاني، وقَالَ لَهُ مَا قَالَ لِلأَوَّل. فَأَجَابَ وقَال: أَنَا ذَاهِب، سَيِّدِي! ولَمْ يَذْهَب. 31 فَأَيُّ الاثْنَيْنِ عَمِلَ مَشِيْئَةَ الأَب؟". قَالُوا: "أَلأَوَّل". قَالَ لَهُم يَسُوع: "أَلـحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنَّ العَشَّارِيْنَ والزَّوَانِي يَسْبِقُونَكُم إِلى مَلَكُوتِ الله. 32 فقَدْ جَاءَكُم يُوحَنَّا يَسْلُكُ طَرِيقَ البِرّ، ولَمْ تُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ. أَمَّا العَشَّارُونَ والزَّوَانِي فَآمَنُوا بِهِ. وأَنْتُم رَأَيْتُم ذـلِكَ ولَمْ تَنْدَمُوا ولَو مُتَأَخِّرِين، لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ.

Lecture French	01 J’aurais beau parler toutes les langues des hommes et des anges, si je n’ai pas la charité, s’il me manque l’amour, je ne suis qu’un cuivre qui résonne, une cymbale retentissante. 02 J’aurais beau être prophète, avoir toute la science des mystères et toute la connaissance de Dieu, j’aurais beau avoir toute la foi jusqu’à transporter les montagnes, s’il me manque l’amour, je ne suis rien. 03 J’aurais beau distribuer toute ma fortune aux affamés, j’aurais beau me faire brûler vif, s’il me manque l’amour, cela ne me sert à rien. 04 L’amour prend patience ; l’amour rend service ; l’amour ne jalouse pas ; il ne se vante pas, ne se gonfle pas d’orgueil ; 05 il ne fait rien d’inconvenant ; il ne cherche pas son intérêt ; il ne s’emporte pas ; il n’entretient pas de rancune ; 06 il ne se réjouit pas de ce qui est injuste, mais il trouve sa joie dans ce qui est vrai ; 07 il supporte tout, il fait confiance en tout, il espère tout, il endure tout. 08 L’amour ne passera jamais. Les prophéties seront dépassées, le don des langues cessera, la connaissance actuelle sera dépassée. 09 En effet, notre connaissance est partielle, nos prophéties sont partielles. 10 Quand viendra l’achèvement, ce qui est partiel sera dépassé. 11 Quand j’étais petit enfant, je parlais comme un enfant, je pensais comme un enfant, je raisonnais comme un enfant. Maintenant que je suis un homme, j’ai dépassé ce qui était propre à l’enfant. 12 Nous voyons actuellement de manière confuse, comme dans un miroir ; ce jour-là, nous verrons face à face. Actuellement, ma connaissance est partielle ; ce jour-là, je connaîtrai parfaitement, comme j’ai été connu. 13 Ce qui demeure aujourd’hui, c’est la foi, l’espérance et la charité ; mais la plus grande des trois, c’est la charité.
Evangile French	28 Quel est votre avis ? Un homme avait deux fils. Il vint trouver le premier et lui dit : “Mon enfant, va travailler aujourd’hui à la vigne.” 29 Celui-ci répondit : “Je ne veux pas.” Mais ensuite, s’étant repenti, il y alla. 30 Puis le père alla trouver le second et lui parla de la même manière. Celui-ci répondit : “Oui, Seigneur !” et il n’y alla pas. 31 Lequel des deux a fait la volonté du père ? » Ils lui répondent : « Le premier. » Jésus leur dit : « Amen, je vous le déclare : les publicains et les prostituées vous précèdent dans le royaume de Dieu. 32 Car Jean le Baptiste est venu à vous sur le chemin de la justice, et vous n’avez pas cru à sa parole ; mais les publicains et les prostituées y ont cru. Tandis que vous, après avoir vu cela, vous ne vous êtes même pas repentis plus tard pour croire à sa parole.

Lecture English	1 If I speak in human and angelic tongues* but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.a 2 And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.b 3 If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.c 4 * Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated,d 5 it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,e 6 it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.f 8 * Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing. 9 For we know partially and we prophesy partially, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. 12 At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.g 13 * So faith, hope, love remain, these three;h but the greatest of these is love.

He came to the first and said, ‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’ 29 He said in reply, ‘I will not,’ but afterwards he changed his mind and went. 30 The man came to the other son and gave the same order. He said in reply, ‘Yes, sir,’ but did not go. 31 * Which of the two did his father’s will?” They answered, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Amen, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you. 32 * q When John came to you in the way of righteousness, you did not believe him; but tax collectors and prostitutes did. Yet even when you saw that, you did not later change your minds and believe him.
