Lecture Arabic	17 إِنْ كُنْتَ أَنْتَ الَّذي تُدْعَى يَهُودِيًّا، وتَعْتَمِدُ عَلى الشَّرِيعَة، وتَفْتَخِرُ بِالله، 18 وَتَعْرِفُ مَشيئَتَهُ، وتُمَيِّزُ مَا هُوَ الأَفْضَل، بِمَا عَلَّمَتْكَ الشَّرِيعَة، 19 وَاثِقًا مِنْ نَفْسِكَ أَنَّكَ قَائِدُ العُمْيَان، ونُورُ الَّذِينَ في الظَّلاَم، 20 وَمُؤَدِّبُ الـجُهَّال، ومُعَلِّمُ الأَطْفَال، لأَنَّ لَكَ في الشَّرِيعَةِ صُورَةَ الـمَعْرِفَةِ والـحَقّ... 21 فأَنْتَ إِذًا يَا مَنْ تُعَلِّمُ غَيْرَكَ، أَمَا تُعَلِّمُ نَفْسَكَ؟ يَا مَنْ تُنَادِي: لا تَسْرِقْ! أَتَسْرِق؟ 22 يَا مَنْ تَقُول: لا تَزْنِ! أَتَزْنِي؟ يَا مَنْ تَحْتَقِرُ الأَوْثَان، أَتَسْلُبُ هَيَاكِلَهَا؟ 23 يَا مَنْ تَفْتَخِرُ بِالشَّرِيعَة، أَتُهِينُ اللهَ بِتَعَدِّيكَ لِلشَّرِيعَة؟ 24 كَمَا هُوَ مَكْتُوب: "إِنَّ اسْمَ اللهِ يُجَدَّفُ عَلَيْهِ بِسَبَبِكُم بَينَ الأُمَم!". 25 إِنَّ الـخِتَانَةَ نَافِعَة، إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْمَلُ بِالشَّرِيعَة، أَمَّا إِنْ كُنْتَ تتَعَدَّى الشَّرِيعَة، فقَدْ صَارَتْ خِتَانَتُكَ لا خِتَانَة؛ 26 وإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرُ الـمَخْتُونِ يَحْفَظُ أَحْكَامَ الشَّرِيعَة، أَفَلا يُحْسَبُ عَدَمُ خِتَانُتِهِ خِتَانَة؟ 27 فَغَيرُ الـمَخْتُونِ بِالطَّبيعَة، الَّذي يُتَمِّمُ الشَّرِيعَة، سَيَدِينُكَ أَنْتَ يَا مَنْ بِالـحَرْفِ والـخِتَانَةِ تتَعَدَّى الشَّرِيعَة. 28 فلَيْسَ اليَهُودِيُّ مَنْ هُوَ يَهُودِيٌّ في الظَّاهِر، ولا الـخِتَانَةُ مَا هِيَ خِتَانَةٌ في الظَّاهِرِ أَيْ في اللَّحْمِ؛ 29 بَلِ اليَهُودِيُّ مَنْ هُوَ يَهُودِيٌّ في البَاطِن، والـخِتَانَةُ هِيَ خِتَانَةُ القَلْب، بِالرُّوحِ لا بِالـحَرْف. ومَدْحُ هـذَا الإِنْسَانِ لَيْسَ مِنَ البَشَر، بَلْ مِنَ الله.
Evangile Arabic	46 مَنْ مِنْكُم يُوَبِّخُنِي على خَطِيئَة؟ إِنْ كُنْتُ أَقُولُ الـحَقَّ فَلِمَاذَا لا تُصَدِّقُونَنِي؟ 47 مَنْ هُوَ مِنَ اللهِ يَسْمَعُ كَلامَ الله. وأَنْتُم لا تَسْمَعُون، لأَنَّكُم لَسْتُم مِنَ الله". 48 أَجَابَ اليَهُودُ وقَالُوا لَهُ: "أَمَا حَسَنًا نَقُولُ إِنَّكَ سَامِرِيّ، وبِكَ شَيْطَان؟". 49 أَجَابَ يَسُوع: "لَيْسَ بِي شَيْطَان، ولـكِنِّي أكَرِّمُ أَبِي، وأَنْتُم تَحْتَقِرُونِي! 50 وأَنَا لا أَطْلُبُ مَجْدِي، فَهُنَاكَ مَنْ يَطْلُبُ وَيَدِين.

Lecture French	17 Mais toi qui portes le nom de Juif, qui te reposes sur la Loi, qui mets ta fierté en Dieu, 18 toi qui connais sa volonté et qui discernes l’essentiel parce que tu es à l’école de la Loi, 19 toi qui es convaincu d’être toi-même guide des aveugles, lumière de ceux qui sont dans les ténèbres, 20 éducateur des insensés, maître des tout-petits, toi qui es convaincu de posséder dans la Loi l’expression même de la connaissance et de la vérité, 21 bref, toi qui instruis les autres, tu ne t’instruis pas toi-même ! toi qui proclames qu’il ne faut pas voler, tu voles ! 22 toi qui dis de ne pas commettre l’adultère, tu le commets ! toi qui as horreur des idoles, tu pilles leurs temples ! 23 toi qui mets ta fierté dans la Loi, tu déshonores Dieu en transgressant la Loi, 24 car, comme le dit l’Écriture, à cause de vous, le nom de Dieu est bafoué parmi les nations. 25 Sans doute, la circoncision est utile si tu pratiques la Loi ; mais si tu transgresses la Loi, malgré ta circoncision tu es devenu non-circoncis. 26 À l’inverse si le non-circoncis garde les préceptes de la Loi, ne sera-t-il pas considéré comme s’il était circoncis ? 27 Celui qui n’est pas circoncis dans son corps mais qui accomplit la Loi te jugera, toi qui transgresses la Loi tout en ayant la lettre de la Loi et la circoncision. 28 Ce n’est pas ce qui est visible qui fait le Juif, ce n’est pas la marque visible dans la chair qui fait la circoncision ; 29 mais c’est ce qui est caché qui fait le Juif : sa circoncision est celle du cœur, selon l’Esprit et non selon la lettre, et sa louange ne vient pas des hommes, mais de Dieu
Evangile French	46 Qui d’entre vous pourrait faire la preuve que j’ai péché ? Si je dis la vérité, pourquoi ne me croyez-vous pas ? 47 Celui qui est de Dieu écoute les paroles de Dieu. Et vous, si vous n’écoutez pas, c’est que vous n’êtes pas de Dieu. » 48 Les Juifs répliquèrent : « N’avons-nous pas raison de dire que tu es un Samaritain et que tu as un démon ? » 49 Jésus répondit : « Non, je n’ai pas de démon. Au contraire, j’honore mon Père, et vous, vous refusez de m’honorer. 50 Ce n’est pas moi qui recherche ma gloire, il y en a un qui la recherche, et qui juge.

Lecture English	17 Now if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law and boast of Godm 18 and know his will and are able to discern what is important since you are instructed from the law,n 19 and if you are confident that you are a guide for the blind and a light for those in darkness,o 20 that you are a trainer of the foolish and teacher of the simple,p because in the law you have the formulation of knowledge and truth— 21 then you who teach another, are you failing to teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?q 22 You who forbid adultery, do you commit adultery? You who detest idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who boast of the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? 24 r For, as it is written, “Because of you the name of God is reviled among the Gentiles.”* 25 s Circumcision, to be sure, has value if you observe the law; but if you break the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.t 26 Again, if an uncircumcised man keeps the precepts of the law, will he not be considered circumcised?u 27 Indeed, those who are physically uncircumcised but carry out the law will pass judgment on you, with your written law and circumcision, who break the law. 28 One is not a Jew outwardly. True circumcision is not outward, in the flesh.v 29 Rather, one is a Jew inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart, in the spirit, not the letter; his praise is not from human beings but from God.w

If I am telling the truth, why do you not believe me?b 47 Whoever belongs to God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not listen, because you do not belong to God.”c 48 The Jews answered and said to him, “Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan* and are possessed?” 49 Jesus answered, “I am not possessed; I honor my Father, but you dishonor me. 50 I do not seek my own glory; there is one who seeks it and he is the one who judges.d
