Lecture Arabic	23 فَقَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتيَ الإِيْمَان، كُنَّا مُحْتَجَزِينَ مَحبُوسِينَ تَحْتَ الشَّرِيعَة، إِلى أَنْ يُعْلَنَ الإِيْمَانُ الـمُنْتَظَر. 24 إِذًا فَالشَّرِيعَةُ كَانَتْ لَنَا مُؤَدِّبًا يَقُودُنَا إِلى الـمَسِيح، لِكَيْ نُبَرَّرَ بِالإِيْمَان. 25 فَلَمَّا أَتَى الإِيْمَان، لَمْ نَعُدْ تَحْتَ مُؤَدِّب؛ 26 لأَنَّكُم جَمِيعًا أَبْنَاءُ اللهِ بَالإِيْمَان، في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوع. 27 فأَنْتُم جَمِيعَ الَّذِينَ اعْتَمَدْتُم في الـمَسِيحِ قَدْ لَبِسْتُمُ الـمَسِيح. 28 فلا يَهُودِيٌّ بَعْدُ ولا يُونَانِيّ، لا عَبْدٌ ولا حُرّ، لاَ ذَكَرٌ ولا أُنْثَى، فإِنَّكُم جَمِيعًا وَاحِدٌ في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوع. 29 فَإِنْ كُنْتُم لِلمَسِيح، فأَنْتُم إِذًا نَسْلُ إِبْراهِيم، ووَارِثُونَ بِحَسَبِ الوَعْد.
Evangile Arabic	54 وأَتَى إِلى النَّاصِرَةَ بَلْدَتِهِ، فَأَخَذَ يُعَلِّمُ في مَجْمَعِهِم حَتَّى بُهِتُوا وقَالُوا: "مِنْ أَيْنَ لَهُ هـذِهِ الـحِكْمَةُ وهـذِهِ الأَعْمَالُ القَدِيْرَة؟ 55 أَلَيْسَ هـذَا ابْنَ النَّجَّار؟ أَلا تُدْعَى أُمُّهُ مَرْيَم، وإِخْوَتُهُ يَعْقُوبَ ويُوسِي، وسِمْعَانَ ويَهُوذَا؟ 56 أَلَيْسَتْ جَمِيْعُ أَخَوَاتِهِ عِنْدَنَا؟ فَمِنْ أَيْنَ لَهُ كُلُّ هـذَا؟". 57 وكَانُوا يَشُكُّونَ فِيه. أَمَّا يَسُوعُ فَقَالَ لَهُم: "لا يَكُونُ نَبِيٌّ بِلا كَرَامَةٍ إِلاَّ في بَلْدَتِهِ وفي بَيْتِهِ". 58 ولَمْ يَصْنَعْ هُنَاكَ أَعْمَالاً قَدِيْرَةً كَثِيْرَةً لِعَدَمِ إِيْمَانِهِم بِهِ.

Lecture French	23 Avant que vienne la foi en Jésus Christ, nous étions des prisonniers, enfermés sous la domination de la Loi, jusqu’au temps où cette foi devait être révélée. 24 Ainsi, la Loi, comme un guide, nous a menés jusqu’au Christ pour que nous obtenions de la foi la justification. 25 Et maintenant que la foi est venue, nous ne sommes plus soumis à ce guide. 26 Car tous, dans le Christ Jésus, vous êtes fils de Dieu par la foi. 27 En effet, vous tous que le baptême a unis au Christ, vous avez revêtu le Christ ; 28 il n’y a plus ni juif ni grec, il n’y a plus ni esclave ni homme libre, il n’y a plus l’homme et la femme, car tous, vous ne faites plus qu’un dans le Christ Jésus. 29 Et si vous appartenez au Christ, vous êtes de la descendance d’Abraham : vous êtes héritiers selon la promesse.
Evangile French	54 Il se rendit dans son lieu d’origine, et il enseignait les gens dans leur synagogue, de telle manière qu’ils étaient frappés d’étonnement et disaient : « D’où lui viennent cette sagesse et ces miracles ? 55 N’est-il pas le fils du charpentier ? Sa mère ne s’appelle-t-elle pas Marie, et ses frères : Jacques, Joseph, Simon et Jude ? 56 Et ses sœurs ne sont-elles pas toutes chez nous ? Alors, d’où lui vient tout cela ? » 57 Et ils étaient profondément choqués à son sujet. Jésus leur dit : « Un prophète n’est méprisé que dans son pays et dans sa propre maison. » 58 Et il ne fit pas beaucoup de miracles à cet endroit-là, à cause de leur manque de foi.

Lecture English	23 Before faith came, we were held in custody under law, confined for the faith that was to be revealed.v 24 Consequently, the law was our disciplinarian* for Christ, that we might be justified by faith.w 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a disciplinarian.x 26 For through faith you are all children of God* in Christ Jesus.y 27 * For all of you who were baptized into Christz have clothed yourselves with Christ.* 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.a 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendant, heirs according to the promise.b
Evangile English	54 * He came to his native place and taught the people in their synagogue.p They were astonished* and said, “Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds?q 55 Is he not the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother named Mary and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?r 56 Are not his sisters all with us? Where did this man get all this?” 57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house.”s 58 And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith.
