Lecture Arabic	15 أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، كَبَشَرٍ أَقُول: إِنَّ الوَصِيَّة، وإِنْ كَانَتْ مِنْ إِنْسَان، إِذَا أُقِرَّتْ، لا أَحَدَ يُبْطِلُهَا أَو يَزِيدُ عَلَيْهَا. 16 فالوُعُودُ قِيْلَتْ لإِبْراهِيمَ وَلِنَسْلِهِ. ومَا قِيْلَتْ: "ولأَنْسَالِهِ"، كأَنَّهُ لِكَثِيرِين، بَلْ "وَلِنَسْلِكَ"، كَأَنَّهُ لِوَاحِد، وهُوَ الـمَسِيح! 17 فأَقُولُ هـذَا: إِنَّ وَصِيَّةً سَبَقَ اللهُ فأَقَرَّهَا، لا تُلْغِيهَا شَرِيعَةٌ جَاءَتْ بَعْدَ أَرْبَعِ مِئَةٍ وثَلاثِينَ سَنَة، فَتُبْطِلُ الوَعْد. 18 وإِذَا كَانَ الـمِيرَاثُ مِنَ الشَّرِيعَة، فَهُوَ لَمْ يَعُدْ مِنَ الوَعْد؛ والـحَالُ أَنَّ اللهَ بِوَعْدٍ أَنْعَمَ بِالـمِيرَاثِ على إِبرَاهِيم. 19 إِذًا فَلِمَاذَا الشَّرِيعَة؟ إِنَّهَا أُضِيفَتْ بَسَبَبِ الْمَعَاصِي، حَتَّى مَجيءِ النَّسْلِ الَّذي جُعِلَ الوَعْدُ لَهُ. وقَدْ أَعْلَنَهَا مَلائِكَةٌ على يَدِ وَسِيطٍ، هُوَ مُوسى. 20 غيرَ أَنَّ الوَاحِدَ لا وَسيطَ لَهُ، واللهُ واحِد! 21 إِذًا فَهَلْ تَكُونُ الشَّرِيعَةُ ضِدَّ وُعُودِ الله؟ حاشَا! فَلَو أُعْطِيَتْ شَرِيعَةٌ قَادِرَةٌ أَنْ تُحْيي، لَكَانَ التَّبْرِيرُ حَقًّا بِالشَّرِيعَة. 22 ولـكِنَّ الكِتَابَ حَبَسَ الكُلَّ تَحْتَ الـخَطِيئَة، لِكَيْمَا بالإِيْمَانِ بيَسُوعَ الـمَسِيحِ يُعْطَى الوَعْدُ للَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُون.
Evangile Arabic	26 وفي الشَّهْرِ السَّادِس، أُرْسِلَ الـمَلاكُ جِبْرَائِيلُ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ إِلى مَدِينَةٍ في الـجَلِيلِ اسْمُهَا النَّاصِرَة، 27 إِلى عَذْرَاءَ مَخْطُوبَةٍ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ بَيْتِ دَاودَ اسْمُهُ يُوسُف، واسْمُ العَذْرَاءِ مَرْيَم. 28 ولَمَّا دَخَلَ الـمَلاكُ إِلَيْهَا قَال: "أَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكِ، يَا مَمْلُوءَةً نِعْمَة، أَلرَّبُّ مَعَكِ!". 29 فَاضْطَربَتْ مَرْيَمُ لِكَلامِهِ، وأَخَذَتْ تُفَكِّرُ مَا عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ هـذَا السَّلام! 30 فقَالَ لَهَا الـمَلاك: "لا تَخَافِي، يَا مَرْيَم، لأَنَّكِ وَجَدْتِ نِعْمَةً عِنْدَ الله. 31 وهَا أَنْتِ تَحْمِلينَ، وتَلِدِينَ ابْنًا، وتُسَمِّينَهُ يَسُوع. 32 وهُوَ يَكُونُ عَظِيمًا، وابْنَ العَليِّ يُدْعَى، ويُعْطِيهِ الرَّبُّ الإِلـهُ عَرْشَ دَاوُدَ أَبِيه، 33 فَيَمْلِكُ عَلى بَيْتِ يَعْقُوبَ إِلى الأَبَد، ولا يَكُونُ لِمُلْكِهِ نِهَايَة!". 34 فَقالَتْ مَرْيَمُ لِلمَلاك: "كَيْفَ يَكُونُ هـذَا، وأَنَا لا أَعْرِفُ رَجُلاً؟". 35 فأَجَابَ الـمَلاكُ وقالَ لَهَا: "أَلرُّوحُ القُدُسُ يَحِلُّ عَلَيْكِ، وقُدْرَةُ العَلِيِّ تُظَلِّلُكِ، ولِذـلِكَ فالقُدُّوسُ الـمَوْلُودُ مِنْكِ يُدْعَى ابْنَ الله! 36 وهَا إِنَّ إِلِيصَابَاتَ نَسِيبَتَكِ، قَدْ حَمَلَتْ هيَ أَيْضًا بابْنٍ في شَيْخُوخَتِها. وهـذَا هُوَ الشَّهْرُ السَّادِسُ لِتِلْكَ الَّتي تُدْعَى عَاقِرًا، 37 لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَى اللهِ أَمْرٌ مُسْتَحِيل!". 38 فقَالَتْ مَرْيَم: "هَا أَنا أَمَةُ الرَّبّ، فَلْيَكُنْ لِي بِحَسَبِ قَوْلِكَ!". وانْصَرَفَ مِنْ عِنْدِها الـمَلاك.

Lecture French	15 Frères, j’emploie ici un langage humain. Quand un homme a fait un testament en bonne et due forme, personne ne peut l’annuler ou lui ajouter des clauses. 16 Or, les promesses ont été faites à Abraham ainsi qu’à sa descendance ; l’Écriture ne dit pas « et à tes descendants », comme si c’était pour plusieurs, mais et à ta descendance, comme pour un seul, qui est le Christ. 17 Alors je dis ceci : le testament fait par Dieu en bonne et due forme n’est pas révoqué par la Loi intervenue quatre cent trente ans après, ce qui abolirait la promesse. 18 Car si l’héritage s’obtient par la Loi, ce n’est plus par une promesse. Or c’est par une promesse que Dieu accorda sa faveur à Abraham. 19 Alors pourquoi la Loi ? Elle a été ajoutée, pour que les transgressions soient rendues manifestes, jusqu’à la venue de la descendance à qui ont été faites les promesses, et elle a été établie par des anges par l’entremise d’un médiateur. 20 Ce médiateur en représente plus d’un, mais Dieu, lui, est un. 21 La Loi est-elle donc contre les promesses de Dieu ? Absolument pas. S’il nous avait été donné une loi capable de nous faire vivre, alors vraiment la Loi rendrait juste. 22 Mais l’Écriture a tout enfermé sous la domination du péché, afin que ce soit par la foi en Jésus Christ que la promesse s’accomplisse pour les croyants.
Evangile French	26 Le sixième mois, l’ange Gabriel fut envoyé par Dieu dans une ville de Galilée, appelée Nazareth, 27 à une jeune fille vierge, accordée en mariage à un homme de la maison de David, appelé Joseph ; et le nom de la jeune fille était Marie. 28 L’ange entra chez elle et dit : « Je te salue, Comblée-de-grâce, le Seigneur est avec toi. » 29 À cette parole, elle fut toute bouleversée, et elle se demandait ce que pouvait signifier cette salutation. 30 L’ange lui dit alors : « Sois sans crainte, Marie, car tu as trouvé grâce auprès de Dieu. 31 Voici que tu vas concevoir et enfanter un fils ; tu lui donneras le nom de Jésus. 32 Il sera grand, il sera appelé Fils du Très-Haut ; le Seigneur Dieu lui donnera le trône de David son père ; 33 il régnera pour toujours sur la maison de Jacob, et son règne n’aura pas de fin. » 34 Marie dit à l’ange : « Comment cela va-t-il se faire puisque je ne connais pas d’homme ? » 35 L’ange lui répondit : « L’Esprit Saint viendra sur toi, et la puissance du Très-Haut te prendra sous son ombre ; c’est pourquoi celui qui va naître sera saint, il sera appelé Fils de Dieu. 36 Or voici que, dans sa vieillesse, Élisabeth, ta parente, a conçu, elle aussi, un fils et en est à son sixième mois, alors qu’on l’appelait la femme stérile. 37 Car rien n’est impossible à Dieu. » 38 Marie dit alors : « Voici la servante du Seigneur ; que tout m’advienne selon ta parole. » Alors l’ange la quitta.

Lecture English	15 * Brothers, in human terms I say that no one can annul or amend even a human will once ratified.n 16 Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his descendant.* It does not say, “And to descendants,” as referring to many, but as referring to one, “And to your descendant,” who is Christ.o 17 This is what I mean: the law, which came four hundred and thirty years afterward,* does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to cancel the promise.p 18 For if the inheritance comes from the law,q it is no longer from a promise; but God bestowed it on Abraham through a promise.* 19 * Why, then, the law? It was added for transgressions, until the descendant* came to whom the promise had been made; it was promulgated by angels at the hand of a mediator.r 20 Now there is no mediator when only one party is involved, and God is one.s 21 Is the law then opposed to the promises [of God]? Of course not! For if a law had been given that could bring life, then righteousness would in reality come from the law.t 22 But scripture confined all things under the power of sin, that through faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe.u
Evangile English	26 In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary.l 28 And coming to her, he said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.”m 29 But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 n Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. 32 o He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,* and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, 33 and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”p 34 But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?”* 35 And the angel said to her in reply, “The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.q 36 And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived* a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; 37 for nothing will be impossible for God.”r 38 Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.
