Lecture Arabic	1 فَالعَهْدُ الأَوَّل، كَانَتْ لَهُ أَيْضًا شعَائِرُ عِبَادَة، وبَيْتُ قُدْسٍ أَرْضِيّ. 2 فَبُنِيَ الـمَسْكِنُ الأَوَّل، وهُوَ الَّذي يُدْعَى "القُدْس"، وكانَ فيهِ الْمَنَارَة، والْمَائِدَة، وخُبْزُ التَّقْدِمَة، 3 ووَرَاءَ الـحِجَابِ الثَّانِي بُنِيَ الـمَسْكِنُ الَّذي يُدْعَى "قُدْسَ الأَقْدَاس"، 4 ويَحْتَوِي مِجْمَرَةً ذَهَبِيَّةً لِلبَخُور، وتَابُوتَ العَهْد، مُغَشًّى كُلُّهُ بِالذَّهَب، وفيهِ جَرَّةٌ مِن ذَهَبٍ تَحْتَوِي الـمَنّ، وعَصَا هَارُونَ الَّتي أَفْرَخَتْ، ولَوحَا العَهْد، 5 وفَوقَ التَّابُوتِ كَرُوبَا الـمَـجْدِ يُظَلِّلانِ الغِشَاء: أَشْيَاءُ لا مَجَالَ الآنَ لِلكَلامِ عَنْهَا بالتَّفْصِيل. 6 وإِذْ بُنِيَتْ تِلْكَ الأَشْياءُ على هـذَا التَّرتِيب، كانَ الكَهَنَةُ يَدْخُلُونَ إِلى الْمَسْكِنِ الأَوَّلِ في كُلِّ وَقْت، لِيُتِمُّوا العِبَادَة، 7 أَمَّا الْمَسْكِنُ الثَّانِي فكانَ عَظِيمُ الأَحْبَارِ يَدخُلُ إِلَيهِ وَحْدَهُ مَرَّةً واحِدَةً في السَّنَة، ولا يَدْخُلُ إِلَيهِ إِلاَّ ومَعَهُ دَمٌ يُقَرِّبُهُ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ وعَنْ جَهَالاتِ الشَّعْب. 8 وبِهـذَا يُوضِحُ الرُّوحُ القُدُسُ أَنَّ الطَّرِيقَ إِلى قُدْسِ الأَقْدَاسِ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَعْدُ قَدْ كُشِف، مَا دَامَ الْمَسْكِنُ الأَوَّلُ قَائِمًا. 9 وهـذَا رَمزٌ إِلى الوَقتِ الـحَاضِر، وفيهِ تُقَرَّبُ تَقَادِمُ وذَبائِح، لا يُمْكِنُهَا أَنْ تَجْعَلَ مَنْ يُقَرِّبُهَا كامِلاً مِن جِهَةِ الضَّمِير. 10 إِنَّهَا شَعَائِرُ جَسَدِيَّةٌ تَقْتَصِرُ على أَطْعِمَةٍ وأَشْرِبَة، وأَنْواعٍ شَتَّى مِنَ الاغْتِسَال، مَفْرُوضَةٍ إِلى أَنْ يَأْتِيَ وَقْتُ الإِصْلاح. 11 أَمَّا الـمَسِيحُ فَقَدْ ظَهَرَ عَظِيمَ أَحْبَارِ الـخَيْرَاتِ الآتِيَة، واجْتَازَ الـمَسْكِنَ الأَعْظَمَ والأَكْمَل، غَيرَ الـمَصْنُوعِ بِالأَيْدِي، أَيْ لَيْسَ مِن هـذِهِ الـخَليقَة، 12 فَدَخَلَ إِلى قُدْسِ الأَقْدَاسِ مَرَّةً واحِدَة، لا بِدَمِ الـتُّيُوسِ والعُجُول، بَلْ بِدَمِهِ هُوَ، فَحَقَّقَ لنَا فِدَاءً أَبَدِيًّا.
Evangile Arabic	13 وجَاءَ يَسُوعُ إِلى نَواحِي قَيْصَرِيَّةِ فِيْلِبُّسَ فَسَأَلَ تَلامِيْذَهُ قَائِلاً: "مَنْ يَقُولُ النَّاسُ إِنِّي أَنَا ابْنُ الإِنْسَان؟". 14 فقَالُوا: "بَعْضُهُم يَقُولُون: يُوحَنَّا الـمَعْمَدَان؛ وآخَرُون: إِيْليَّا؛ وغَيْرُهُم: إِرْمِيَا أَو أَحَدُ الأَنْبِيَاء". 15 قَالَ لَهُم: "وأَنْتُم مَنْ تَقُولُونَ إِنِّي أَنَا؟". 16 فَأَجَابَ سِمْعَانُ بُطْرُسُ وقَال: أَنْتَ هُوَ الـمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللهِ الـحَيّ!". 17 فأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهُ: "طُوبَى لَكَ يَا سِمْعَانُ بنَ يُونَا! لأَنَّهُ لا لَحْمَ ولا دَمَ أَظْهَرَ لَكَ ذـلِكَ، بَلْ أَبي الَّذي في السَّمَاوَات. 18 وأَنَا أَيْضًا أَقُولُ لَكَ: أَنْتَ هُوَ بُطْرُسُ، أَيِ الصَّخْرَة، وعلى هـذِهِ الصَّخْرَةِ سَأَبْنِي بِيْعَتِي، وأَبْوَابُ الـجَحِيْمِ لَنْ تَقْوى عَلَيْها. 19 سَأُعْطِيكَ مَفَاتيحَ مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَات، فَكُلُّ مَا تَربُطُهُ على الأَرْضِ يَكُونُ مَرْبُوطًا في السَّمَاوَات، ومَا تَحُلُّهُ على الأَرْضِ يَكُونُ مَحْلُولاً في السَّمَاوَات". 20 حينَئِذٍ أَوْصَى تَلامِيْذَهُ أَلاَّ يَقُولُوا لأَحَدٍ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الـمَسِيح.

Lecture French	01 La première Alliance avait donc ses préceptes pour le culte ainsi que son Lieu saint dans ce monde. 02 Une tente y était disposée, la première, où se trouvaient le chandelier à sept branches et la table avec les pains de l’offrande ; c’est ce qu’on nomme le Saint. 03 Derrière le second rideau, il y avait la tente appelée le Saint des saints, 04 contenant un brûle-parfum en or et l’arche d’Alliance entièrement recouverte d’or, dans laquelle se trouvaient un vase d’or contenant la manne, le bâton d’Aaron qui avait fleuri, et les tables de l’Alliance ; 05 au-dessus de l’arche, les kéroubim de gloire couvraient de leur ombre la plaque d’or appelée propitiatoire. Mais il n’y a pas lieu maintenant d’entrer dans les détails. 06 Les choses étant ainsi disposées, les prêtres entrent continuellement dans la première tente quand ils célèbrent le culte. 07 Mais dans la deuxième tente, une fois par an, le grand prêtre entre seul, et il ne le fait pas sans offrir du sang pour lui-même et pour les fautes que le peuple a commises par ignorance. 08 L’Esprit Saint montre ainsi que le chemin du sanctuaire n’a pas encore été manifesté tant que la première tente reste debout. 09 C’est là une préfiguration pour le temps présent : les dons et les sacrifices qui sont offerts ne sont pas capables de mener à la perfection dans sa conscience celui qui célèbre le culte ; 10 ces préceptes, liés à des observances pour les aliments, boissons et ablutions diverses, concernent seulement la chair et ne sont valables que jusqu’au temps du relèvement ! 11 Le Christ est venu, grand prêtre des biens à venir. Par la tente plus grande et plus parfaite, celle qui n’est pas œuvre de mains humaines et n’appartient pas à cette création, 12 il est entré une fois pour toutes dans le sanctuaire, en répandant, non pas le sang de boucs et de jeunes taureaux, mais son propre sang. De cette manière, il a obtenu une libération définitive.
Evangile French	13 Jésus, arrivé dans la région de Césarée-de-Philippe, demandait à ses disciples : « Au dire des gens, qui est le Fils de l’homme ? » 14 Ils répondirent : « Pour les uns, Jean le Baptiste ; pour d’autres, Élie ; pour d’autres encore, Jérémie ou l’un des prophètes. » 15 Jésus leur demanda : « Et vous, que dites-vous ? Pour vous, qui suis-je ? » 16 Alors Simon-Pierre prit la parole et dit : « Tu es le Christ, le Fils du Dieu vivant ! » 17 Prenant la parole à son tour, Jésus lui dit : « Heureux es-tu, Simon fils de Yonas : ce n’est pas la chair et le sang qui t’ont révélé cela, mais mon Père qui est aux cieux. 18 Et moi, je te le déclare : Tu es Pierre, et sur cette pierre je bâtirai mon Église ; et la puissance de la Mort ne l’emportera pas sur elle. 19 Je te donnerai les clés du royaume des Cieux : tout ce que tu auras lié sur la terre sera lié dans les cieux, et tout ce que tu auras délié sur la terre sera délié dans les cieux. » 20 Alors, il ordonna aux disciples de ne dire à personne que c’était lui le Christ.

Lecture English	1 Now [even] the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly sanctuary. 2 For a tabernacle was constructed, the outer one,* in which were the lampstand, the table, and the bread of offering; this is called the Holy Place.a 3 * Behind the second veil was the tabernacle called the Holy of Holies,b 4 in which were the gold altar of incense* and the ark of the covenant entirely covered with gold. In it were the gold jar containing the manna, the staff of Aaron that had sprouted, and the tablets of the covenant.c 5 * Above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the place of expiation. Now is not the time to speak of these in detail.d 6 With these arrangements for worship, the priests, in performing their service,* go into the outer tabernacle repeatedly,e 7 but the high priest alone goes into the inner one once a year, not without blood* that he offers for himself and for the sins of the people.f 8 In this way the holy Spirit shows that the way into the sanctuary had not yet been revealed while the outer tabernacle still had its place. 9 This is a symbol of the present time,* in which gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the worshiper in conscience 10 but only in matters of food and drink and various ritual washings: regulations concerning the flesh, imposed until the time of the new order.g Sacrifice of Jesus. 11 * But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come to be,* passing through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made by hands, that is, not belonging to this creation,h 12 he entered once for all into the sanctuary, not with the blood of goats and calves but with his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.i
Evangile English	13 h When Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi* he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 i They replied, “Some say John the Baptist,* others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 * j Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood* has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. 18 k And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church,* and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. 19 l I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.* Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” 20 * m Then he strictly ordered his disciples to tell no one that he was the Messiah.
