Lecture Arabic	1 الإِيْمَانُ هُوَ اليَقِينُ بالأُمُورِ الـمَرْجُوَّة، والبُرْهَانُ لِلأُمُورِ غَيرِ الـمَرْئِيَّة. 2 وَبِهِ شُهِدَ لِلأَقْدَمِين. 3 بِالإِيْمَانِ نُدْرِكُ أَنَّ العَالَمِينَ أُنْشِئَتْ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنَ الله، لأَنَّ مَا يُرى لَمْ يَتَكَوَّنْ مِمَّا هُوَ ظَاهِر. 4 بِالإِيْمَانِ قَرَّبَ هَابيلُ للهِ ذَبيحةً أَفْضَلَ مِن ذَبيحةِ قَايين، وبالإِيْمَانِ شُهِدَ لَهُ بِأَنَّهُ بَارّ، وقَد شَهِدَ اللهُ نَفْسُهُ على قرابِينِهِ، وبِالإِيْمَانِ مَا زَالَ هَابِيلُ بَعْدَ مَوتِهِ يَتَكَلَّم. 5 بِالإِيْمَانِ نُقِلَ أَخْنُوخُ لِكَي لا يَرَى الـمَوت، ولَمْ يُوجَدْ مِن بَعْدُ لأَنَّ اللهَ نَقَلَهُ؛ وقَبْلَ أَنْ يُنْقَلَ شُهِدَ لَهُ بِأَنَّهُ أَرْضَى الله. 6 وَبِغَيْرِ إِيْمَانٍ يَسْتَحِيلُ إِرْضَاءُ الله. فَالَّذي يَقْتَرِبُ إِلى الله، علَيهِ أَنْ يُؤْمِنَ بِأَنَّ اللهَ مَوْجُود، وأَنَّهُ يُكافِئُ الَّذِينَ يَطْلُبُونَهُ.
Evangile Arabic	1 أَمَّا يَسُوعُ فَمَضَى إِلى جَبَلِ الزَّيْتُون. 2 وعِنْدَ الفَجْر، عَادَ إِلى الـهَيْكَل. وكَانَ الشَّعْبُ كُلُّهُ يَأْتِي إِلَيْه، فَجَلَسَ يُعَلِّمُهُم. 3 وأَتَاهُ الكَتَبَةُ والفَرِّيسِيُّونَ بِامْرَأَةٍ أُمْسِكَتْ وهِي تَزْنِي، وأَقَامُوهَا في الوَسَط، 4 وقَالُوا لَهُ: "يَا مُعَلِّم، هـذِهِ الـمَرْأَةُ أُمْسِكَتْ فِي زِنًى مَشْهُود. 5 وفِي التَّوْرَاة، أَوْصَانَا مُوسَى بِرَجْمِ أَمْثَالِهَا. وأَنْتَ، فَمَاذَا تَقُول؟". 6 قَالُوا هـذَا لِيُجَرِّبُوه، فَيَكُونَ لَهُم مَا يَشْكُونَهُ بِهِ. أَمَّا يَسُوعُ فَأَكَبَّ يَخُطُّ بِإِصْبَعِهِ على الأَرْض. 7 ولَمَّا اسْتَمَرُّوا يَسْأَلُونَهُ، وَقَفَ وقَالَ لَهُم: "مَنْ هُوَ فِيكُم بِلا خَطِيئَة، فَلْيَبْدَأْ ويَرْمِهَا بِحَجَر!". 8 ثُمَّ أَكَبَّ وعَادَ يَخُطُّ عَلى الأَرْض. 9 ولَمَّا سَمِعُوا، بَدَأُوا يَخْرُجُونَ وَاحِدًا فَوَاحِدًا، وكِبَارُ السِّنِّ أَوَّلاً. وبَقِيَ يَسُوعُ وَحْدَهُ، والـمَرْأَةُ قَائِمَةٌ في الوَسَط. 10 فَوَقَفَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهَا: "يَا امْرَأَة، أَيْنَ هُم؟ أَمَا دَانَكِ أَحَد؟". 11 قَالَتْ: "لا أَحَد، يَا سَيِّد". فَقَالَ لَهَا يَسُوع: "ولا أَنَا أَدِينُكِ. إِذْهَبِي، ولا تَعُودِي تَخْطَإينَ بَعْدَ الآن".

Lecture French	01 La foi est une façon de posséder ce que l’on espère, un moyen de connaître des réalités qu’on ne voit pas. 02 Et quand l’Écriture rend témoignage aux anciens, c’est à cause de leur foi. 03 Grâce à la foi, nous comprenons que les mondes ont été formés par une parole de Dieu, et donc ce qui est visible n’a pas son origine dans ce qui apparaît au regard. 04 Grâce à la foi, Abel offrit à Dieu un sacrifice plus grand que celui de Caïn ; à cause de sa foi, il fut déclaré juste : Dieu lui-même rendait témoignage à son offrande ; à cause de sa foi, bien qu’il soit mort, il parle encore. 05 Grâce à la foi, Hénok fut retiré de ce monde, et il ne connut pas la mort ; personne ne le retrouva parce que Dieu l’avait retiré ; avant cet événement, il avait été agréable à Dieu, l’Écriture en témoigne. 06 Or, sans la foi, il est impossible d’être agréable à Dieu ; car, pour s’avancer vers lui, il faut croire qu’il existe et qu’il récompense ceux qui le cherchent.
Evangile French	01 Quant à Jésus, il s’en alla au mont des Oliviers. 02 Dès l’aurore, il retourna au Temple. Comme tout le peuple venait à lui, il s’assit et se mit à enseigner. 03 Les scribes et les pharisiens lui amènent une femme qu’on avait surprise en situation d’adultère. Ils la mettent au milieu, 04 et disent à Jésus : « Maître, cette femme a été surprise en flagrant délit d’adultère. 05 Or, dans la Loi, Moïse nous a ordonné de lapider ces femmes-là. Et toi, que dis-tu ? » 06 Ils parlaient ainsi pour le mettre à l’épreuve, afin de pouvoir l’accuser. Mais Jésus s’était baissé et, du doigt, il écrivait sur la terre. 07 Comme on persistait à l’interroger, il se redressa et leur dit : « Celui d’entre vous qui est sans péché, qu’il soit le premier à lui jeter une pierre. » 08 Il se baissa de nouveau et il écrivait sur la terre. 09 Eux, après avoir entendu cela, s’en allaient un par un, en commençant par les plus âgés. Jésus resta seul avec la femme toujours là au milieu. 10 Il se redressa et lui demanda : « Femme, où sont-ils donc ? Personne ne t’a condamnée ? » 11 Elle répondit : « Personne, Seigneur. » Et Jésus lui dit : « Moi non plus, je ne te condamne pas. Va, et désormais ne pèche plus. »

Lecture English	1 Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence* of things not seen.a 2 Because of it the ancients were well attested. 3 b By faith we understand that the universe was ordered by the word of God,* so that what is visible came into being through the invisible. 4 * By faith Abel offered to God a sacrifice greater than Cain’s. Through this he was attested to be righteous, God bearing witness to his gifts, and through this, though dead, he still speaks.c 5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and “he was found no more because God had taken him.” Before he was taken up, he was attested to have pleased God.d 6 * But without faith it is impossible to please him,e for anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Evangile English	1 while Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.* a 2 But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area, and all the people started coming to him, and he sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and made her stand in the middle. 4 They said to him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. 5 Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women.* So what do you say?”b 6 They said this to test him, so that they could have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger.* 7 * But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them,c “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 And in response, they went away one by one, beginning with the elders. So he was left alone with the woman before him. 10 Then Jesus straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”d 11 She replied, “No one, sir.” Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, [and] from now on do not sin any more.”]e
