Lecture Arabic	9 فَلِذـلِكَ نَحْنُ أَيْضًا، مِنْ يَوْمَ سَمِعْنَا، لا نَزَالُ نُصَلِّي مِنْ أَجْلِكُم، ونَسْأَلُ اللهَ أَنْ يَمْلأَكُم مِنْ مَعْرِفَةِ مَشِيئَتِهِ، في كُلِّ حِكْمَةٍ وفَهْمٍ روحِيّ، 10 لِتَسِيرُوا كَمَا يَلِيقُ بِالرَّبِّ في كُلِّ مَا يُرْضِيْه، مُثْمِرينَ في كُلِّ عَمَلٍ صَالِح، ونَامِينَ بِمَعْرِفَةِ الله، 11 مُتَقَوِّينَ كُلَّ القُوَّةِ بِحَسَبِ عِزَّةِ مَجْدِهِ، بِكُلِّ ثَبَاتٍ وطُولِ أَنَاة، 12 وَبِفَرَحٍ شَاكِرِينَ الآبَ الَّذي أَهَّلَكُم لِلشَّرِكَةِ في مِيراثِ القِدِّيسِينَ في النُّور؛ 13 وهُوَ الَّذي نَجَّانَا مِنْ سُلطَانِ الظَّلام، ونَقَلَنَا إِلى مَلَكُوتِ ابْنِ مَحَبَّتِهِ، 14 الَّذي لَنَا فيهِ الفِدَاء، أَي مَغْفِرَةُ الـخَطَايَا: 15 إِنَّهُ صُورَةُ اللهِ غَيْرِ الـمَنْظُور، بِكْرُ كُلِّ خَليقَة، 16 لأَنَّهُ بِهِ خُلِقَ كُلُّ شَيءٍ في السَّمَاواتِ وعلى الأَرْض، مَا يُرَى ومَا لا يُرَى، عُرُوشًا كَانَ أَمْ سِيَادَات، أَمْ رِئَاسَات، أَمْ سَلاطِين، كُلُّ شَيءٍ بِهِ خُلِقَ وإِلَيه؛ 17 وهُوَ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيء، وبِهِ يَثْبُتُ كُلُّ شَيء، 18 وهُوَ رأْسُ الـجَسَد، أَيِ الكَنِيسَة. إِنَّهُ الـمَبْدَأ، أَلبِكْرُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَات، لِكَي يَكُونَ هُوَ الأَوَّلَ في كُلِّ شَيء، 19 لأَنَّهُ فيهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ أَنْ يَسْكُنَ الـمِلْءُ كُلُّهُ، 20 ويُصَالِحَ بِهِ الكُلَّ مَعَ نَفسِهِ، مُسَالِمًا بِدَمِ صَلِيبِهِ، مَا عَلى الأَرْضِ كَانَ أَمْ في السَّمَاوَات.
Evangile Arabic	1 في البَدْءِ كَانَ الكَلِمَة، والكَلِمَةُ كَانَ مَعَ الله، وكَانَ الكَلِمَةُ الله. 2 كانَ الكَلِمَةُ هـذَا في البَدْءِ معَ الله. 3 كُلُّ شَيءٍ بِهِ كُوِّن، وبِغَيْرِهِ مَا كُوِّنَ أَيُّ شَيء. 4 كُلُّ مَا كُوِّنَ بِهِ كَانَ حَيَاة، والـحَيَاةُ كَانَتْ نُورَ النَّاس، 5 والنُّورُ في الظُّلْمَةِ يَسْطَع، والظُّلْمَةُ لَمْ تَقْوَ عَلَيْه. 6 كَانَ إِنْسَانٌ مُرْسَلٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ الله، إِسْمُهُ يُوحَنَّا. 7 جَاءَ يُوحَنَّا هـذَا لِلشَّهَادَة، لِيَشْهَدَ لِلنُّور، فَيُؤْمِنَ الـجَمِيعُ عَلى يَدِهِ. 8 مَا كَانَ هُوَ النُّور، بَلْ جَاءَ يَشْهَدُ لِلنُّور، 9 لأَنَّ النُّورَ الـحَقيقيّ، الَّذي يُنيرُ كُلَّ إِنْسان، كانَ آتِيًا إِلى العَالَم. 10 في العَالَمِ كَانَ الكَلِمَة، والعَالَمُ بِهِ كُوِّن، والعَالَمُ مَا عَرَفَهُ. 11 إِلى بَيْتِهِ جَاء، وأَهْلُ بَيْتِهِ مَا قبِلُوه. 12 أَمَّا كُلُّ الَّذينَ قَبِلُوه، وَهُمُ الـمُؤمِنُونَ بِاسْمِهِ، فَقَدْ أَعْطَاهُم سُلْطَانًا أَنْ يَصيرُوا أَولادَ الله، 13 هُمُ الَّذين، لا مِنْ دَمٍ، ولا مِنْ رَغْبَةِ جَسَد، ولا مِنْ مَشيئةِ رَجُل، بَلْ مِنَ اللهِ وُلِدُوا. 14 والكَلِمَةُ صَارَ جَسَدًا وسَكَنَ بَيْنَنَا، ورَأَيْنَا مَجْدَهُ، مَجْدَ ابْنٍ وَحيد، آتٍ مِنَ الآب، مَلآنَ نِعْمَةً وحَقًا. 15 لَهُ يَشْهَدُ يُوحَنَّا، وقَدْ هَتَفَ قَائِلاً: "هـذَا هُوَ الَّذي قُلْتُ فِيه: إِنَّ الآتي ورَائِي قَدْ صَارَ قُدَّامي، لأَنَّهُ كَانَ قَبْلي". 16 أَجَل، مِنْ مِلْئِهِ نَحْنُ كُلُّنَا أَخَذْنَا نِعْمَةً تِلْوَ نِعْمَة. 17 عَلى يَدِ مُوسَى أُعْطِيَتِ التَّوْرَاة، وعَلى يَدِ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيحِ صَارَتِ النِّعْمَةُ والـحَقّ. 18 أَللهُ مَا رَآهُ أَحَدٌ البَتَّة: أَلابْنُ الوَحِيدُ الله، الكَائِنُ في حِضْنِ الآب، هُوَ الَّذي أَخْبَرَ عَنْهُ.

Lecture French	09 Nous demandons à Dieu de vous combler de la pleine connaissance de sa volonté, en toute sagesse et intelligence spirituelle. 10 Ainsi votre conduite sera digne du Seigneur, et capable de lui plaire en toutes choses ; par tout le bien que vous ferez, vous porterez du fruit et vous progresserez dans la vraie connaissance de Dieu. 11 Vous serez fortifiés en tout par la puissance de sa gloire, qui vous donnera toute persévérance et patience. Dans la joie, 12 vous rendrez grâce à Dieu le Père, qui vous a rendus capables d’avoir part à l’héritage des saints, dans la lumière. 13 Nous arrachant au pouvoir des ténèbres, il nous a placés dans le Royaume de son Fils bien-aimé : 14 en lui nous avons la rédemption, le pardon des péchés. 15 Il est l’image du Dieu invisible, le premier-né, avant toute créature : 16 en lui, tout fut créé, dans le ciel et sur la terre. Les êtres visibles et invisibles, Puissances, Principautés, Souverainetés, Dominations, tout est créé par lui et pour lui. 17 Il est avant toute chose, et tout subsiste en lui. 18 Il est aussi la tête du corps, la tête de l’Église : c’est lui le commencement, le premier-né d’entre les morts, afin qu’il ait en tout la primauté. 19 Car Dieu a jugé bon qu’habite en lui toute plénitude 20 et que tout, par le Christ, lui soit enfin réconcilié, faisant la paix par le sang de sa Croix, la paix pour tous les êtres sur la terre et dans le ciel.
Evangile French	01 AU COMMENCEMENT était le Verbe, et le Verbe était auprès de Dieu, et le Verbe était Dieu. 02 Il était au commencement auprès de Dieu. 03 C’est par lui que tout est venu à l’existence, et rien de ce qui s’est fait ne s’est fait sans lui. 04 En lui était la vie, et la vie était la lumière des hommes ; 05 la lumière brille dans les ténèbres, et les ténèbres ne l’ont pas arrêtée. 06 Il y eut un homme envoyé par Dieu ; son nom était Jean. 07 Il est venu comme témoin, pour rendre témoignage à la Lumière, afin que tous croient par lui. 08 Cet homme n’était pas la Lumière, mais il était là pour rendre témoignage à la Lumière. 09 Le Verbe était la vraie Lumière, qui éclaire tout homme en venant dans le monde. 10 Il était dans le monde, et le monde était venu par lui à l’existence, mais le monde ne l’a pas reconnu. 11 Il est venu chez lui, et les siens ne l’ont pas reçu. 12 Mais à tous ceux qui l’ont reçu, il a donné de pouvoir devenir enfants de Dieu, eux qui croient en son nom. 13 Ils ne sont pas nés du sang, ni d’une volonté charnelle, ni d’une volonté d’homme : ils sont nés de Dieu. 14 Et le Verbe s’est fait chair, il a habité parmi nous, et nous avons vu sa gloire, la gloire qu’il tient de son Père comme Fils unique, plein de grâce et de vérité. 15 Jean le Baptiste lui rend témoignage en proclamant : « C’est de lui que j’ai dit : Celui qui vient derrière moi est passé devant moi, car avant moi il était. » 16 Tous nous avons eu part à sa plénitude, nous avons reçu grâce après grâce ; 17 car la Loi fut donnée par Moïse, la grâce et la vérité sont venues par Jésus Christ. 18 Dieu, personne ne l’a jamais vu ; le Fils unique, lui qui est Dieu, lui qui est dans le sein du Père, c’est lui qui l’a fait connaître.

Lecture English	9 Therefore, from the day we heard this, we do not cease praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understandinge 10 to live in a manner worthy of the Lord, so as to be fully pleasing, in every good work bearing fruit and growing in the knowledge of God, 11 strengthened with every power, in accord with his glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy 12 * giving thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to share in the inheritance of the holy ones in light.f 13 He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.g HIS PERSON AND WORK 15 * He is the image* of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.h 16 For in him* were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things were created through him and for him.i 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 He is the head of the body, the church.* He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he himself might be preeminent.j 19 For in him all the fullness* was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peace by the blood of his cross* [through him], whether those on earth or those in heaven.k
Evangile English	1 In the beginning* was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.a 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 * All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be.b What came to be 4 through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race;c 5 * the light shines in the darkness,d and the darkness has not overcome it. 6 * A man named John was sent from God.e 7 He came for testimony,* to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him.f 8 He was not the light, but came to testify to the light.g 9 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.h 10 He was in the world, and the world came to be through him, but the world did not know him. 11 He came to what was his own, but his own people* did not accept him. 12 i But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name, 13 * j who were born not by natural generation nor by human choice nor by a man’s decision but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh* and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.k 15 * John testified to him and cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said,l ‘The one who is coming after me ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’” 16 From his fullness we have all received, grace in place of grace,* 17 because while the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.m 18 No one has ever seen God. The only Son, God,* who is at the Father’s side, has revealed him.n
