Lecture Arabic	غلا 21/4 21 قُولُوا لي، أَنْتُمُ الَّذِينَ تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَكُونُوا في حُكْمِ الشَّرِيعَة، أَمَا تَسْمَعُونَ الشَّرِيعَة؟ غلا 1/5 1 إِنَّ الـمَسِيحَ قَدْ حَرَّرَنَا لِنَبْقَى أَحرارًا. فَاثْبُتُوا إِذًا ولا تَعُودُوا تَخضَعُونَ لِنِيرِ العُبُودِيَّة.
Evangile Arabic	57 وتَمَّ زَمَانُ إِليصَابَاتَ لِتَلِد، فَوَلَدَتِ ابْنًا. 58 وسَمِعُ جِيرانُهَا وأَقَارِبُها أَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ عَظَّمَ رَحْمَتَهُ لَهَا، فَفَرِحُوا مَعَهَا. 59 وفي اليَوْمِ الثَّامِنِ جَاؤُوا لِيَخْتِنُوا الصَّبِيّ، وسَمَّوْهُ بِاسْمِ أَبِيهِ زَكَريَّا. 60 فأَجَابَتْ أُمُّهُ وَقالَتْ: "لا! بَلْ يُسَمَّى يُوحَنَّا!". 61 فقَالُوا لَهَا: "لا أَحَدَ في قَرابَتِكِ يُدْعَى بِهـذَا الاسْم". 62 وأَشَارُوا إِلى أَبِيهِ مَاذَا يُريدُ أَنْ يُسَمِّيَهُ. 63 فطَلَبَ لَوْحًا وكَتَب: "إِسْمُهُ يُوحَنَّا!". فَتَعَجَّبُوا جَمِيعُهُم. 64 وانْفَتَحَ فَجْأَةً فَمُ زَكَرِيَّا، وانْطَلَقَ لِسَانُهُ، وَجَعَلَ يَتَكَلَّمُ ويُبَارِكُ الله، 65 فَاسْتَولى الـخَوْفُ على جَمِيعِ جِيرانِهِم، وتَحَدَّثَ النَّاسُ بِكُلِّ هـذِهِ الأُمُورِ في كُلِّ جَبَلِ اليَهُودِيَّة. 66 وكانَ كُلُّ مَنْ سَمِعَ بِذـلِكَ يَحْفَظُهُ في قَلْبِهِ قَائِلاً: "ما عَسَى هـذَا الطِّفْلُ أَنْ يَكُون؟". وكانَتْ يَدُ الرَّبِّ حَقًّا مَعَهُ.

Evangile French	57 Quand fut accompli le temps où Élisabeth devait enfanter, elle mit au monde un fils. 58 Ses voisins et sa famille apprirent que le Seigneur lui avait montré la grandeur de sa miséricorde, et ils se réjouissaient avec elle. 59 Le huitième jour, ils vinrent pour la circoncision de l’enfant. Ils voulaient l’appeler Zacharie, du nom de son père. 60 Mais sa mère prit la parole et déclara : « Non, il s’appellera Jean. » 61 On lui dit : « Personne dans ta famille ne porte ce nom-là ! » 62 On demandait par signes au père comment il voulait l’appeler. 63 Il se fit donner une tablette sur laquelle il écrivit : « Jean est son nom. » Et tout le monde en fut étonné. 64 À l’instant même, sa bouche s’ouvrit, sa langue se délia : il parlait et il bénissait Dieu. 65 La crainte saisit alors tous les gens du voisinage et, dans toute la région montagneuse de Judée, on racontait tous ces événements. 66 Tous ceux qui les apprenaient les conservaient dans leur cœur et disaient : « Que sera donc cet enfant ? » En effet, la main du Seigneur était avec lui.

Evangile English	57 When the time arrived for Elizabeth to have her child she gave birth to a son. 58 Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown his great mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her.g 59 * When they came on the eighth day to circumciseh the child, they were going to call him Zechariah after his father, 60 but his mother said in reply, “No. He will be called John.”i 61 But they answered her, “There is no one among your relatives who has this name.” 62 So they made signs, asking his father what he wished him to be called. 63 He asked for a tablet and wrote, “John is his name,” and all were amazed. 64 Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed, and he spoke blessing God.j 65 Then fear came upon all their neighbors, and all these matters were discussed throughout the hill country of Judea. 66 All who heard these things took them to heart, saying, “What, then, will this child be?” For surely the hand of the Lord was with him.
