Lecture Arabic	6 فإِذَا عَرَضْتَ ذـلِكَ لِلإِخْوَة، تَكُونُ خَادِمًا صَالِحًا للمَسِيحِ يَسُوع، مُتَغَذِّيًا بِكَلامِ الإِيْمَانِ والتَّعْلِيمِ الـحَسَنِ الَّذي تَبِعْتَهُ. 7 أَمَّا الـخُرَافَاتُ التَّافِهَة، حِكَايَاتُ العَجَائِز، فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهَا. وَرَوِّضْ نَفْسَكَ عَلى التَّقْوَى. 8 فإِنَّ الرِّيَاضَةَ الـجَسَدِيَّةَ نَافِعةٌ بعْضَ الشَّيء، أَمَّا التَّقْوَى فَهِيَ نَافِعَةٌ لكُلِّ شَيء، لأَنَّ لَهَا وَعْدَ الـحَيَاةِ الـحَاضِرَةِ والآتِيَة. 9 صادِقَةٌ هيَ الكَلِمَةُ وجَدِيرَةٌ بِكُلِّ قَبُول: 10 إِنْ كُنَّا نَتْعَبُ ونُجَاهِد، فذـلِكَ لأَنَّنَا جَعَلْنَا رجَاءَنا في اللهِ الـحَيّ، الـَّذي هُوَ مُخلِّصُ الـنَّاس أَجْمَعِين، ولا سِيَّمَا الـمُؤْمِنِين. 11 فأَوْصِ بِذـلكَ وعَلِّمْهُ. 12 ولا تَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَسْتَهِينُ بِحَداثَةِ سِنِّكَ، بَلْ كُنْ مِثَالاً للمُؤْمِنِين، بِالكَلام، والسِّيرَة، والـمَحَبَّة، والإِيْمَان، والعَفَاف. 13 وَاظِبْ عَلى إِعْلانِ الكَلِمَةِ والوَعْظِ والتَّعْلِيم، إِلى أَنْ أَجِيء. 14 لا تُهْمِلِ الـمَوْهِبَةَ الَّتي فِيك، وقَد وُهِبَتْ لَكَ بالنُّبُوءَةِ معَ وَضْعِ أَيْدِي الشُّيُوخِ عَلَيك. 15 إِهْتَمَّ بِتِلْكَ الأُمُور، وكُنْ مُواظِبًا عَلَيهَا، لِيَكُونَ تَقَدُّمُكَ واضِحًا لِلجَمِيع. 16 إِنْتَبِهْ لِنَفْسِكَ وَلِتَعْلِيمِكَ، وَاثْبُتْ في ذـلِك. فإِذا فَعَلْتَ خَلَّصْتَ نَفسَكَ والَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَكَ.
Evangile Arabic	42 فَقَالَ الرَّبّ: "مَنْ تُرَاهُ الوَكِيلُ الأَمِينُ الـحَكِيمُ الَّذي يُقِيمُهُ سَيِّدُهُ عَلَى خَدَمِهِ لِيُعْطِيَهُم حِصَّتَهُم مِنَ الطَّعَامِ في حِينِهَا؟ 43 طُوبَى لِذـلِكَ العَبْدِ الَّذي، مَتَى جَاءَ سَيِّدُهُ، يَجِدُهُ فَاعِلاً هـكذَا! 44 حَقًّا أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنَّهُ يُقِيمُهُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ مُقْتَنَياتِهِ. 45 أَمَّا إِذَا قَالَ ذـلِكَ العَبْدُ في قَلْبِهِ: سَيَتَأَخَّرُ سَيِّدِي في مَجِيئِهِ، وَبَدأَ يَضْرِبُ الغِلْمَانَ وَالـجَوَارِي، يَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ وَيَسْكَر، 46 يَجِيءُ سَيِّدُ ذـلِكَ العَبْدِ في يَوْمٍ لا يَنْتَظِرُهُ، وَفي سَاعَةٍ لا يَعْرِفُها، فَيَفْصِلُهُ، وَيَجْعلُ نَصِيبَهُ مَعَ الكَافِرين. 47 فَذـلِكَ العَبْدُ الَّذي عَرَفَ مَشِيئَةَ سَيِّدِهِ، وَمَا أَعَدَّ شَيْئًا، وَلا عَمِلَ بِمَشيئَةِ سَيِّدِهِ، يُضْرَبُ ضَرْبًا كَثِيرًا. 48 أَمَّا العَبْدُ الَّذي مَا عَرَفَ مَشِيئَةَ سَيِّدِهِ، وَعَمِلَ مَا يَسْتَوجِبُ الضَّرْب، فَيُضْرَبُ ضَرْبًا قَلِيلاً. وَمَنْ أُعْطِيَ كَثيرًا يُطْلَبُ مِنْهُ الكَثِير، وَمَنِ ائْتُمِنَ عَلَى الكَثِيرِ يُطالَبُ بِأَكْثَر.

Lecture French	06 En exposant ces choses aux frères, tu seras un bon serviteur du Christ Jésus, nourri des paroles de la foi et de la bonne doctrine que tu as toujours suivie. 07 Quant aux récits mythologiques, ces racontars de vieilles femmes, écarte-les. Exerce-toi, au contraire, à la piété. 08 En effet, l’exercice physique n’a qu’une utilité partielle, mais la religion concerne tout, car elle est promesse de vie, de vie présente et de vie future. 09 Voilà une parole digne de foi, et qui mérite d’être accueillie sans réserve : 10 si nous nous donnons de la peine et si nous combattons, c’est parce que nous avons mis notre espérance dans le Dieu vivant, qui est le Sauveur de tous les hommes et, au plus haut point, des croyants. 11 Voilà ce que tu dois prescrire et enseigner. 12 Que personne n’ait lieu de te mépriser parce que tu es jeune ; au contraire, sois pour les croyants un modèle par ta parole et ta conduite, par ta charité, ta foi et ta pureté. 13 En attendant que je vienne, applique-toi à lire l’Écriture aux fidèles, à les encourager et à les instruire. 14 Ne néglige pas le don de la grâce en toi, qui t’a été donné au moyen d’une parole prophétique, quand le collège des Anciens a imposé les mains sur toi. 15 Prends à cœur tout cela, applique-toi, afin que tous voient tes progrès. 16 Veille sur toi-même et sur ton enseignement. Maintiens-toi dans ces dispositions. En agissant ainsi, tu obtiendras le salut, et pour toi-même et pour ceux qui t’écoutent.
Evangile French	42 Le Seigneur répondit : « Que dire de l’intendant fidèle et sensé à qui le maître confiera la charge de son personnel pour distribuer, en temps voulu, la ration de nourriture ? 43 Heureux ce serviteur que son maître, en arrivant, trouvera en train d’agir ainsi ! 44 Vraiment, je vous le déclare : il l’établira sur tous ses biens. 45 Mais si le serviteur se dit en lui-même : “Mon maître tarde à venir”, et s’il se met à frapper les serviteurs et les servantes, à manger, à boire et à s’enivrer, 46 alors quand le maître viendra, le jour où son serviteur ne s’y attend pas et à l’heure qu’il ne connaît pas, il l’écartera et lui fera partager le sort des infidèles. 47 Le serviteur qui, connaissant la volonté de son maître, n’a rien préparé et n’a pas accompli cette volonté, recevra un grand nombre de coups. 48 Mais celui qui ne la connaissait pas, et qui a mérité des coups pour sa conduite, celui-là n’en recevra qu’un petit nombre. À qui l’on a beaucoup donné, on demandera beaucoup ; à qui l’on a beaucoup confié, on réclamera davantage.

Lecture English	6 * If you will give these instructions to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound teaching you have followed. 7 Avoid profane and silly myths. Train yourself for devotion,d 8 for, while physical training is of limited value, devotion is valuable in every respect, since it holds a promise of life both for the present and for the future.e 9 This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.f 10 For this we toil and struggle,* because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the savior of all, especially of those who believe.g 11 * Command and teach these things. 12 Let no one have contempt for your youth,* but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.h 13 Until I arrive, attend to the reading,* exhortation, and teaching. 14 Do not neglect the gift you have, which was conferred on you through the prophetic word* with the imposition of hands of the presbyterate.i 15 Be diligent in these matters, be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to everyone. 16 Attend to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in both tasks, for by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
Evangile English	42 And the Lord replied, “Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward whom the master will put in charge of his servants to distribute [the] food allowance at the proper time? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master on arrival finds doing so. 44 Truly, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property. 45 But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’* and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 then that servant’s master will come on an unexpected day and at an unknown hour and will punish him severely and assign him a place with the unfaithful. 47 That servant who knew his master’s will but did not make preparations nor act in accord with his will shall be beaten severely;t 48 and the servant who was ignorant of his master’s will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly. Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.
