Lecture Arabic	14 فقَد صِرْنَا شُرَكَاءَ الـمَسِيح، إِنْ تَمَسَّكْنَا ثَابِتِينَ إِلى النِّهَايَةِ بِالثِّقَةِ الَّتي كَانَتْ لَنَا في البِدَايَة. 4 فقَدْ قِيلَ في مَوضِعٍ مِنَ الكِتَاب بَشَأْنِ اليَومِ السَّابِع: "واسْتَراحَ اللهُ في اليَومِ السَّابِعِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ أَعْمَالِهِ".
Evangile Arabic	9 وقالَ أَيْضًا هـذَا الـمَثَلَ لأُنَاسٍ يَثِقُونَ في أَنْفُسِهِم أَنَّهُم أَبْرَار، وَيَحْتَقِرُونَ الآخَرين: 10 "رَجُلانِ صَعِدَا إِلى الـهَيْكَلِ لِيُصَلِّيَا، أَحَدُهُما فَرِّيسيٌّ وَالآخَرُ عَشَّار. 11 فَوَقَفَ الفَرِّيسِيُّ يُصَلِّي في نَفْسِهِ وَيَقُول: أَللّـهُمَّ، أَشْكُرُكَ لأَنِّي لَسْتُ كَبَاقِي النَّاسِ الطَّمَّاعِينَ الظَّالِمِينَ الزُّنَاة، وَلا كَهـذَا العَشَّار. 12 إِنِّي أَصُومُ مَرَّتَينِ في الأُسْبُوع، وَأُؤَدِّي العُشْرَ عَنْ كُلِّ مَا أَقْتَنِي. 13 أَمَّا العَشَّارُ فَوَقَفَ بَعِيدًا وَهُوَ لا يُرِيدُ حَتَّى أَنْ يَرْفَعَ عَيْنَيْهِ إِلى السَّمَاء، بَلْ كانَ يَقْرَعُ صَدْرَهُ قَائِلاً: أَللّـهُمَّ، إِصْفَحْ عَنِّي أَنَا الـخَاطِئ! 14 أَقُولُ لَكُم إِنَّ هـذَا نَزَلَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ مُبَرَّرًا، أَمَّا ذاكَ فَلا! لأَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يَرْفَعُ نَفْسَهُ يُوَاضَع، وَمَنْ يُواضِعُ نَفْسَهُ يُرْفَع".

Evangile French	09 À l’adresse de certains qui étaient convaincus d’être justes et qui méprisaient les autres, Jésus dit la parabole que voici : 10 « Deux hommes montèrent au Temple pour prier. L’un était pharisien, et l’autre, publicain (c’est-à-dire un collecteur d’impôts). 11 Le pharisien se tenait debout et priait en lui-même : “Mon Dieu, je te rends grâce parce que je ne suis pas comme les autres hommes – ils sont voleurs, injustes, adultères –, ou encore comme ce publicain. 12 Je jeûne deux fois par semaine et je verse le dixième de tout ce que je gagne.” 13 Le publicain, lui, se tenait à distance et n’osait même pas lever les yeux vers le ciel ; mais il se frappait la poitrine, en disant : “Mon Dieu, montre-toi favorable au pécheur que je suis !” 14 Je vous le déclare : quand ce dernier redescendit dans sa maison, c’est lui qui était devenu un homme juste, plutôt que l’autre. Qui s’élève sera abaissé ; qui s’abaisse sera élevé. »

Evangile English	9 Then his disciples asked him what the meaning of this parable might be. 10 He answered, “Knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of God has been granted to you; but to the rest, they are made known through parables so that ‘they may look but not see, and hear but not understand.’f The Parable of the Sower Explained.* 11 g “This is the meaning of the parable. The seed is the word of God.h 12 Those on the path are the ones who have heard, but the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts that they may not believe and be saved. 13 Those on rocky ground are the ones who, when they hear, receive the word with joy, but they have no root; they believe only for a time and fall away in time of trial. 14 As for the seed that fell among thorns, they are the ones who have heard, but as they go along, they are choked by the anxieties and riches and pleasures of life, and they fail to produce mature fruit.
