Lecture Arabic	1 لِذـلِكَ نَحْنُ أَيْضًا، الَّذِينَ لنَا مِثْلُ تِلْكَ السَّحَابَةِ مِنَ الشُّهُودِ الـمُحِيطَةِ بِنَا، فَلْنُلْقِ عَنَّا كُلَّ عِبْءٍ، والـخَطِيئَةَ الَّتي تُحَاصِرُنَا، وَلْنُبَادِرْ ثَابِتِينَ إِلى الـجِهَادِ الـمُعَدِّ لَنَا. 2 فَلْنَنْظُرْ إِلى رَائِدِ إِيْمَانِنَا ومُكَمِّلِهِ يَسُوع، الَّذي احْتَمَلَ الصَّلِيبَ بَدَلَ الفَرَحِ الـمُعَدِّ لَهُ، واسْتَخَفَّ بِالعَار، وجَلَسَ عَن يَمِينِ عَرْشِ الله. 3 فتَأَمَّلُوا مَلِيًّا في ذـلِكَ الَّذي احْتَمَلَ مِثْلَ تِلْكَ الـمُقَاوَمَةِ لِشَخْصِهِ مِن قِبَلِ الـخَطَأَة، لِئَلاَّ تَضْعَفُوا في نُفُوسِكُم وتَنْهَارُوا. 4 فَإِنَّكُم لَمْ تُقَاوِمُوا بَعْدُ حَتَّى الدَّمِ في جِهَادِكُم ضِدَّ الـخَطِيئَة. 5 ونَسِيتُم كَلامَ التَّشْجِيعِ الَّذي يُخَاطِبُكُم كَمَا يُخَاطِبُ الأَبْنَاء: "يَا بُنَيّ، لا تَرذُلْ تَأْدِيبَ الرَّبّ، ولا تَسْأَمْ تَوبِيخَهُ. 6 فَإِنَّ الَّذي يُحِبُّهُ الرَّبُّ يُؤَدِّبُهُ، ويَجْلِدُ كُلَّ ابْنٍ يَرْتَضِيه". 7 إِذًا فَاحْتَمِلُوا تَأْدِيبَ الرَّبّ، فهوَ يُعامِلُكُم مُعَامَلَةَ الأَبْنَاء: وأَيُّ ابْنٍ لا يُؤَدِّبُهُ أَبُوه؟ 8 ثُمَّ إِنَّ آباءَنَا في الـجَسَدِ كانُوا يُؤَدِّبُونَنَا، فَنَخْجَلُ مِنْهُم. أَفَلا نَخْضَعُ بالأَحْرَى لأَبِي الأَروَاحِ فَنَحْيَا؟ 9 أَمَّا إِذَا كُنتُم لا تَقْبَلُونَ التَّأْدِيب، الَّذي يَشْتَرِكُ فيهِ الـجَمِيع، فَتَكُونُونَ دُخَلاءَ لا أَبْنَاء. 10 فأُولـئِكَ كانُوا يُؤَدِّبُونَنَا لأَيَّامٍ قَلِيلَةٍ كَمَا يَشَاؤُون، أَمَّا اللهُ فَيُؤَدِّبُنَا لِفَائِدَتِنَا، لِكَي نَشْتَرِكَ في قَدَاسَتِهِ. 11 فَكُلُّ تَأْدِيبٍ لا يَبْدُو في سَاعَتِهِ أَنَّهُ لِلفَرَحِ بَلْ لِلحُزْن، أَمَّا في مَا بَعْدُ فَيُؤتِي الَّذِينَ تَرَوَّضُوا بِهِ ثَمَرَ بِرٍّ وسَلام. 12 لِذـلِكَ قَوُّوا الأَيْدِيَ الـمُسْتَرْخِيَة، والرُّكَبَ الوَاهِنَة، 13 واجْعَلُوا لأَقْدَامِكُم سُبُلاً قَوِيْمَة، لِئَلاَّ يَزِيغَ العُضْوُ الأَعْرَجُ عنِ السَّبِيل، بَلْ بِالـحَرِيِّ أَنْ يُشْفَى.
Evangile Arabic	1 ولَمَّا رأَى يَسُوعُ الـجُمُوعَ صَعِدَ إِلى الـجَبَل، وجَلَسَ فَدَنا مِنْهُ تَلاميذُهُ، 2 وفَتَحَ فاهُ يُعَلِّمُهُم قَائِلاً: 3 "طُوبى لِلْمَسَاكِينِ بِالرُّوح، لأَنَّ لَهُم مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَات. 4 طُوبى لِلْوُدَعَاء، لأَنَّهُم سَيَرِثُونَ الأَرض. 5 طُوبى لِلْحَزَانى، لأَنَّهُم سَيُعَزَّون. 6 طُوبى لِلْجِيَاعِ والعِطَاشِ إِلى البِرّ، لأَنَّهُم سَيُشْبَعُون. 7 طُوبى لِلْرُّحَمَاء، لأَنَّهُم سَيُرْحَمُون. 8 طُوبى لأَنْقِيَاءِ القُلُوب، لأَنَّهُم سَيُعَايِنُونَ الله. 9 طُوبى لِفَاعِلي السَّلام، لأَنَّهُم سَيُدْعَونَ أَبْناءَ الله. 10 طُوبى لِلْمُضْطَهَدِينَ مِنْ أَجْلِ البِرّ، لأَنَّ لَهُم مَلَكُوتَ السَّماوات. 11 طُوبى لَكُم إِذَا عَيَّرُوكُم واضْطَهَدُوكُم، وافْتَرَوا عَلَيْكُم كُلَّ سُوءٍ مِنْ أَجْلي. 12 إِفْرَحُوا وابْتَهِجُوا، لأَنَّ أَجْرَكُم عَظِيمٌ في السَّمَاوات، فَهـكَذا اضْطَهَدُوا الأَنْبِيَاءَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُم.

Lecture French	01 Ainsi donc, nous aussi, entourés de cette immense nuée de témoins, et débarrassés de tout ce qui nous alourdit – en particulier du péché qui nous entrave si bien –, courons avec endurance l’épreuve qui nous est proposée, 02 les yeux fixés sur Jésus, qui est à l’origine et au terme de la foi. Renonçant à la joie qui lui était proposée, il a enduré la croix en méprisant la honte de ce supplice, et il siège à la droite du trône de Dieu. 03 Méditez l’exemple de celui qui a enduré de la part des pécheurs une telle hostilité, et vous ne serez pas accablés par le découragement. 04 Vous n’avez pas encore résisté jusqu’au sang dans votre lutte contre le péché, 05 et vous avez oublié cette parole de réconfort, qui vous est adressée comme à des fils : Mon fils, ne néglige pas les leçons du Seigneur, ne te décourage pas quand il te fait des reproches. 06 Quand le Seigneur aime quelqu’un, il lui donne de bonnes leçons ; il corrige tous ceux qu’il accueille comme ses fils. 07 Ce que vous endurez est une leçon. Dieu se comporte envers vous comme envers des fils ; et quel est le fils auquel son père ne donne pas des leçons ? 08 Si vous êtes privés des leçons que tous les autres reçoivent, c’est que vous êtes des bâtards et non des fils. 09 D’ailleurs, nos parents selon la chair nous faisaient la leçon, et nous les respections. Ne devons-nous pas d’autant plus nous soumettre au Père de nos esprits pour avoir la vie ? 10 Les leçons que nos parents nous donnaient en croyant bien faire n’avaient qu’un effet passager. Mais celles de Dieu sont vraiment pour notre bien : il veut nous faire partager sa sainteté. 11 Quand on vient de recevoir une leçon, on n’éprouve pas de la joie mais plutôt de la tristesse. Mais plus tard, quand on s’est repris grâce à la leçon, celle-ci produit un fruit de paix et de justice. 12 C’est pourquoi, redressez les mains inertes et les genoux qui fléchissent, 13 et rendez droits pour vos pieds les sentiers tortueux. Ainsi, celui qui boite ne se fera pas d’entorse ; bien plus, il sera guéri.
Evangile French	01 Voyant les foules, Jésus gravit la montagne. Il s’assit, et ses disciples s’approchèrent de lui. 02 Alors, ouvrant la bouche, il les enseignait. Il disait : 03 « Heureux les pauvres de cœur, car le royaume des Cieux est à eux. 04 Heureux ceux qui pleurent, car ils seront consolés. 05 Heureux les doux, car ils recevront la terre en héritage. 06 Heureux ceux qui ont faim et soif de la justice, car ils seront rassasiés. 07 Heureux les miséricordieux, car ils obtiendront miséricorde. 08 Heureux les cœurs purs, car ils verront Dieu. 09 Heureux les artisans de paix, car ils seront appelés fils de Dieu. 10 Heureux ceux qui sont persécutés pour la justice, car le royaume des Cieux est à eux. 11 Heureux êtes-vous si l’on vous insulte, si l’on vous persécute et si l’on dit faussement toute sorte de mal contre vous, à cause de moi. 12 Réjouissez-vous, soyez dans l’allégresse, car votre récompense est grande dans les cieux ! C’est ainsi qu’on a persécuté les prophètes qui vous ont précédés.

Lecture English	1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us* and persevere in running the race that lies before us 2 while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God.a 3 Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart. 4 In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood. 5 You have also forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons: “My son, do not disdain the discipline of the Lordb or lose heart when reproved by him; 6 for whom the Lord loves, he disciplines; he scourges every son he acknowledges.” 7 Endure your trials as “discipline”; God treats you as sons. For what “son” is there whom his father does not discipline?c 8 If you are without discipline, in which all have shared, you are not sons but bastards. 9 Besides this, we have had our earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them. Should we not [then] submit all the more to the Father of spirits and live?d 10 They disciplined us for a short time as seemed right to them, but he does so for our benefit, in order that we may share his holiness. 11 At the time, all discipline seems a cause not for joy but for pain, yet later it brings the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who are trained by it.e 12 So strengthen your drooping hands and your weak knees.f 13 Make straight paths for your feet, that what is lame may not be dislocated but healed.g
Evangile English	1 * When he saw the crowds,* he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. 2 He began to teach them, saying: THE BEATITUDES* 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,* for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.a 4 * Blessed are they who mourn,b for they will be comforted. 5 * Blessed are the meek,c for they will inherit the land. 6 Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,* for they will be satisfied. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.d 8 * Blessed are the clean of heart,e for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 10 Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,* for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.f 11 Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you [falsely] because of me.g 12 * Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.h Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
