Lecture Arabic	13 ولا نُريدُ، أَيُّهَا الإِخوَةُ، أَنْ تَجْهَلُوا مَصِيرَ الرَّاقِدِين، لِئَلاَّ تَحْزَنُوا كَمَا يَحْزَنُ سَائِرُ الـنَّاسِ الَّذِينَ لا رَجَاءَ لَهُم. 14 فإِنْ كُنَّا نُؤْمِنُ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ مَاتَ وَقَام، نُؤْمِنُ أَيْضًا أَنَّ الَّذِينَ رَقَدُوا بِيَسُوع، سَيُقِيمُهُمُ اللهُ مَعَ يَسُوع. 15 ونَقُولُ لَكُم بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنَ الرَّبّ: إِنَّنَا نَحْنُ الأَحْيَاءَ البَاقِينَ إِلى مَجِيءِ الرَّبِّ لَنْ نَسْبِقَ الَّذِينَ رَقَدُوا، 16 لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ نَفْسَهُ، عِنْدَ إِصْدَارِ الأَمْرِ بِهُتَافِ رئِيسِ الـمَلائِكَةِ وبُوقِ الله، سَيَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاء، فَيَقُومُ الأَمْواتُ في الـمَسِيحِ أَوَّلاً، 17 ثُمَّ إِنَّنَا نَحْنُ الأَحْياءَ البَاقِينَ نُخْطَفُ مَعَهُم في السُّحُب، لِمُلاقَاةِ الرَّبِّ في الـجَوّ، وهـكَذَا نَكُونُ معَ الرَّبِّ على الدَّوَام. 18 فَشَجِّعُوا بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًا بِهـذَا الكَلام.
Evangile Arabic	1 في تِلْكَ الأَثْنَاء، احْتَشَدَتْ عَشَرَاتُ الأُلُوفِ مِنَ الـجُمُوع، حَتَّى دَاسَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا، فَبَدَأَ يَسُوعُ يَقُولُ أَوَّلاً لِتَلامِيذِهِ: "إِحْذَرُوا لأَنْفُسِكُم مِنْ خَميرِ الفَرِّيسِيِّين، الَّذي هُوَ الرِّيَاء. 2 فَمَا مِنْ مَحْجُوبٍ إِلاَّ سَيُكْشَف، وَمَا مِنْ خَفِيٍّ إِلاَّ سَيُعْرَف. 3 لِذـلِكَ فَكُلُّ مَا قُلْتُمُوهُ في الظُّلْمَةِ سَيُسْمَعُ في النُّور، وَمَا تَكَلَّمْتُم بِهِ هَمْسًا في الـمَخَادِعِ سَيُنادَى بِهِ عَلَى السُّطُوح. 4 وَأَقُولُ لَكُم، يَا أَحِبَّائِي: لا تَخَافُوا مِمَّنْ يَقْتُلُونَ الـجَسَد، وَبَعْدَ ذـلِكَ لا يَقْدِرُونَ أَنْ يَفْعَلُوا أَكْثَر. 5 بَلْ أُبَيِّنُ لَكُم مِمَّنْ تَخَافُون: خَافُوا مِمَّنْ، إِذَا قَتَل، لَهُ سُلْطانٌ أَنْ يُلْقِيَ في جَهَنَّم. نَعَم، أَقُولُ لَكُم، مِنْ هـذا خَافُوا. 6 أَلا تُبَاعُ خَمْسَةُ عَصَافِيرَ بِفَلْسَين، ووَاحِدٌ مِنْهَا لا يُنْسَى أَمَامَ الله؟ 7 إِنَّ شَعْرَ رَأْسِكُم كُلَّهُ مَعْدُود، فَلا تَخَافُوا! إِنَّكُم أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عَصَافِيرَ كَثِيرَة.

Lecture French	13 Frères, nous ne voulons pas vous laisser dans l’ignorance au sujet de ceux qui se sont endormis dans la mort ; il ne faut pas que vous soyez abattus comme les autres, qui n’ont pas d’espérance. 14 Jésus, nous le croyons, est mort et ressuscité ; de même, nous le croyons aussi, ceux qui se sont endormis, Dieu, par Jésus, les emmènera avec lui. 15 Car, sur la parole du Seigneur, nous vous déclarons ceci : nous les vivants, nous qui sommes encore là pour la venue du Seigneur, nous ne devancerons pas ceux qui se sont endormis. 16 Au signal donné par la voix de l’archange, et par la trompette divine, le Seigneur lui-même descendra du ciel, et ceux qui sont morts dans le Christ ressusciteront d’abord. 17 Ensuite, nous les vivants, nous qui sommes encore là, nous serons emportés sur les nuées du ciel, en même temps qu’eux, à la rencontre du Seigneur. Ainsi, nous serons pour toujours avec le Seigneur. 18 Réconfortez-vous donc les uns les autres avec ce que je viens de dire.
Evangile French	01 Comme la foule s’était rassemblée par milliers au point qu’on s’écrasait, Jésus, s’adressant d’abord à ses disciples, se mit à dire : « Méfiez-vous du levain des pharisiens, c’est-à-dire de leur hypocrisie. 02 Tout ce qui est couvert d’un voile sera dévoilé, tout ce qui est caché sera connu. 03 Aussi tout ce que vous aurez dit dans les ténèbres sera entendu en pleine lumière, ce que vous aurez dit à l’oreille dans le fond de la maison sera proclamé sur les toits. 04 Je vous le dis, à vous mes amis : Ne craignez pas ceux qui tuent le corps, et après cela ne peuvent rien faire de plus. 05 Je vais vous montrer qui vous devez craindre : craignez celui qui, après avoir tué, a le pouvoir d’envoyer dans la géhenne. Oui, je vous le dis : c’est celui-là que vous devez craindre. 06 Est-ce que l’on ne vend pas cinq moineaux pour deux sous ? Or pas un seul n’est oublié au regard de Dieu. 07 À plus forte raison les cheveux de votre tête sont tous comptés. Soyez sans crainte : vous valez plus qu’une multitude de moineaux.

Lecture English	13 We do not want you to be unaware, brothers, about those who have fallen asleep, so that you may not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose, so too will God, through Jesus, bring with him those who have fallen asleep.e 15 Indeed, we tell you this, on the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord,* will surely not precede those who have fallen asleep.f 16 For the Lord himself, with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first.g 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together* with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore, console one another with these words.
Evangile English	1 Meanwhile, so many people were crowding together that they were trampling one another underfoot.a He began to speak, first to his disciples, “Beware of the leaven—that is, the hypocrisy—of the Pharisees. Courage Under Persecution.* 2 b “There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.c 3 Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops. 4 I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but after that can do no more. 5 I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna;* yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins?* Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God. 7 Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.d
