Lecture Arabic	1 إذًا فَمَا فَضْلُ اليَهُودِيّ؟ أَو مَا نَفْعُ الـخِتَانَة؟ 2 إِنَّهُ جَزِيلٌ، عَلى كُلِّ حَال! إِنَّ أَوَّلَ فَضْلٍ لَهُم هوَ أَنَّهُم ائْتُمِنُوا عَلى كَلاَمِ الله. 3 فمَاذَا إِنْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُم لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا؟ هَلْ يُبْطِلُ عَدَمُ إِيْمَانِهِم أَمَانَةَ الله؟ 4 حَاشَا! بَلْ صَدَقَ اللهُ وَكَذِبَ كُلُّ إِنْسَان، كَمَا هوَ مَكْتُوب: "لِكَي تُبَرَّرَ في كَلاَمِكَ، وَتَغْلِبَ في قَضَائِكَ". 5 وإِنْ كَانَ إِثْمُنَا يُثْبِتُ بِرَّ الله، فَمَاذَا نَقُول؟ أَيَكونُ اللهُ ظَالِمًا حِينَ يُنْزِلُ غَضَبَهُ عَلَيْنَا؟ كَبَشَرٍ أَقُولُ هـذَا! 6 حَاشَا! وإِلاَّ فَكَيْفَ يَدِينُ اللهُ العَالَم؟ 7 فإِنْ كَانَ بِكَذِبي قَدِ ازْدَادَ صِدْقُ الله، لِمَجْدِهِ، فَلِمَاذَا أُدَانُ أَنَا بَعْدُ كَإِنْسَانٍ خَاطِئ؟
Evangile Arabic	16 وَقَالَ لَهُم هـذَا الـمَثَل: "رَجُلٌ غَنِيٌّ أَغَلَّتْ لهُ أَرْضُهُ. 17 فَرَاحَ يُفَكِّرُ في نَفْسِهِ قَائِلاً: مَاذَا أَفْعَل، وَلَيْسَ لَدَيَّ مَا أَخْزُنُ فِيهِ غَلاَّتِي؟ 18 ثُمَّ قَال: سَأَفْعَلُ هـذَا: أَهْدِمُ أَهْرَائِي، وَأَبْنِي أَكْبَرَ مِنْها، وَأَخْزُنُ فِيهَا كُلَّ حِنْطَتِي وَخَيْراتِي، 19 وَأَقُولُ لِنَفْسِي: يا نَفْسِي، لَكِ خَيْرَاتٌ كَثِيرَةٌ مُدَّخَرَةٌ لِسِنينَ كَثِيرَة، فاسْتَريِحي، وَكُلِي، واشْرَبِي، وَتَنَعَّمِي! 20 فَقَالَ لَهُ الله: يا جَاهِل، في هـذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ تُطْلَبُ مِنْكَ نَفْسُكَ. وَمَا أَعْدَدْتَهُ لِمَنْ يَكُون؟ 21 هـكذَا هِيَ حَالُ مَنْ يَدَّخِرُ لِنَفْسِهِ، وَلا يَغْتَنِي لله".

Lecture French	01 Mais alors, quelle est la supériorité du Juif ? Quelle est l’utilité de la circoncision ? 02 Grande, à tous égards ! D’abord, parce que c’est aux Juifs que les paroles de Dieu ont été confiées. 03 Mais alors, qu’en est-il ? Si certains ont refusé de croire, leur manque de foi va-t-il donc empêcher Dieu d’être digne de foi ? 04 Pas du tout ! Qu’il soit bien entendu que Dieu est véridique et tout homme menteur, comme il est écrit : Ainsi, on te reconnaît juste lorsque tu parles, et tu triomphes lorsqu’on te met en jugement. 05 Et si notre injustice manifeste la justice de Dieu, que dirons-nous ? Que Dieu est injuste quand il donne libre cours à sa colère ? – Et là, je parle de manière humaine. 06 Mais pas du tout ! Sinon, comment Dieu jugera-t-il le monde ? 07 Et si la vérité de Dieu éclate pour sa gloire grâce à mon mensonge, pourquoi suis-je encore condamné comme pécheur ?
Evangile French	16 Et il leur dit cette parabole : « Il y avait un homme riche, dont le domaine avait bien rapporté. 17 Il se demandait : “Que vais-je faire ? Car je n’ai pas de place pour mettre ma récolte.” 18 Puis il se dit : “Voici ce que je vais faire : je vais démolir mes greniers, j’en construirai de plus grands et j’y mettrai tout mon blé et tous mes biens. 19 Alors je me dirai à moi-même : Te voilà donc avec de nombreux biens à ta disposition, pour de nombreuses années. Repose-toi, mange, bois, jouis de l’existence.” 20 Mais Dieu lui dit : “Tu es fou : cette nuit même, on va te redemander ta vie. Et ce que tu auras accumulé, qui l’aura ?” 21 Voilà ce qui arrive à celui qui amasse pour lui-même, au lieu d’être riche en vue de Dieu. »

Lecture English	1 * What advantage is there then in being a Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision? 2 Much, in every respect. [For] in the first place, they were entrusted with the utterances of God.a 3 What if some were unfaithful? Will their infidelity nullify the fidelity of God?b 4 Of course not! God must be true, though every human being is a liar,* as it is written: “That you may be justified in your words, and conquer when you are judged.”c 5 But if our wickedness provides proof of God’s righteousness, what can we say? Is God unjust, humanly speaking, to inflict his wrath?d 6 Of course not! For how else is God to judge the world? 7 But if God’s truth redounds to his glory through my falsehood, why am I still being condemned as a sinner?
Evangile English	16 Then he told them a parable. “There was a rich man whose land produced a bountiful harvest. 17 He asked himself, ‘What shall I do, for I do not have space to store my harvest?’ 18 And he said, ‘This is what I shall do: I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones. There I shall store all my grain and other goods 19 j and I shall say to myself, “Now as for you, you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, be merry!”’k 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?’ 21 Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God.”*
