Lecture Arabic	3 أَمَّا الفُجُورُ وكُلُّ نَجَاسَة، أَوِ الـجَشَع، فلا يُذْكَرْ حتَّى اسْمُهَا بَيْنَكُم، كَمَا يَلِيقُ بِالقِدِّيسِين؛ 4 ولا البَذَاءَةُ ولا الكلامُ السَّفِيه، أَوِ السُّخْرِيَّة، كُلُّ هـذِهِ لا تَلِيق، بَلْ بِالأَحْرَى الشُّكْرَان. 5 إِعْلَمُوا هـذَا جَيِّدًا: إِنَّ كُلَّ زَانٍ، أَو نَجِس، أَو جَشِعٍ عَابِدِ أَوثَان، لا مِيرَاثَ لَهُ في مَلَكُوتِ الـمَسِيحِ والله. 6 لا يَخْدَعَنَّكُم أَحَدٌ بِكلامٍ بَاطِل، فبِهـذَا يَنْصَبُّ غَضَبُ اللهِ على أَبْنَاءِ العُصْيَان. 7 فلا تَكُونُوا لَهُم شُرَكَاء. 8 لَقَدْ كُنْتُم مِنْ قَبْلُ ظَلامًا، أَمَّا الآنَ فأَنْتُم نُورٌ في الرَّبّ: فَاسْلُكُوا كأَوْلادِ النُّور. 9 فثَمَرُ النُّورِ هُوَ في كُلِّ صلاحٍ وَبِرٍّ وحَقّ. 10 ومَيِّزُوا مَا هُوَ مَرْضِيٌّ لِلرَّبّ. 11 ولا تُشَارِكُوا في أَعْمَالِ الظَّلامِ العَقِيمَة، بَلْ بِالأَحْرَى وَبِّخُوا عَلَيْهَا؛ 12 لأَنَّ مَا يَفعَلُونَهُ في الـخُفيَةِ يَقْبُحُ حتَّى ذِكْرُهُ. 13 وكُلُّ مَا يُوَبَّخُ عَلَيْهِ يُظْهِرُهُ النُّور،
Evangile Arabic	1 ووَصَلَ يَسُوعُ وتَلامِيذُهُ إِلى الضَّفَّةِ الأُخْرَى مِنَ البُحَيْرَة، إِلى بَلَدِ الـجِراسِيِّين. 2 ومَا إِنْ نَزَلَ يَسُوعُ مِنَ السَّفينَةِ حَتَّى لاقَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ القُبُورِ فِيهِ رُوحٌ نَجِس. 3 كانَ يَسْكُنُ في القُبُور، ومَا كانَ أَحَدٌ يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يُكَبِّلَهُ حَتَّى بِسِلْسِلَة. 4 وكَثيرًا ما كَبَّلُوهُ بِقُيُودٍ وسَلاسِل، فكَانَ يَقْطَعُ السَّلاسِل، ويَكْسِرُ القُيُود، ومَا كانَ أَحَدٌ يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يَضْبِطَهُ. 5 وكانَ عَلَى الدَّوَام، لَيْلاً ونَهَارًا، في القُبُورِ وفي الـجِبَال، يَصْرُخُ ويُهَشِّمُ جَسَدَهُ بِالـحِجَارَة. 6 ورَأَى يَسُوعَ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ فَأَسْرَعَ إِلَيْهِ وسَجَدَ لَهُ. 7 وصَرَخَ بِصَوْتٍ عَظِيمٍ وقَال: "مَا لي ولَكَ يا يَسُوعُ ابْنَ اللهِ العَلِيّ؟ أَسْتَحْلِفُكَ بِالله! لا تُعَذِّبْني!"؛ 8 لأَنَّ يَسُوعَ كانَ يَقُولُ لَهُ: "أُخْرُجْ مِنَ الرَّجُل، أَيُّهَا الرُّوحُ النَّجِس!". 9 وسأَلَهُ: "مَا اسْمُكَ؟". فقَالَ لَهُ: "إِسْمي فِرْقَة، لأَنَّنَا كَثِيرُون!". 10 وكانَ يَتَوَسَّلُ إِلَيْهِ كَثِيرًا أَنْ لا يَطْرُدَهُم مِنْ ذـلِكَ البَلَد. 11 وكانَ هُنَاكَ قَطِيعٌ كَبيرٌ مِنَ الـخَنَازيرِ يَرْعَى قُرْبَ الـجَبَل. 12 فتَوَسَّلَتِ الأَرْوَاحُ النَّجِسَةُ إِلى يَسُوعَ قَائِلَة: "أَرْسِلْنَا إِلى الـخَنَازِيرِ فَنَدْخُلَ فِيها!". 13 وأَذِنَ لَهَا فَخَرَجَتْ، ودَخَلَتْ في الـخَنَازِير، فَإِذَا بِالقَطِيعِ - وعَدَدُهُ نَحْوُ أَلْفَيْن - قَدْ وَثَبَ مِنْ عَلَى الـمُنْحَدَرِ الوَعْر، وغَرِقَ في البُحَيْرَة. 14 وهَرَبَ رُعَاةُ الـخَنَازِير، وأَذاعُوا الـخَبَرَ في الـمَدِينَةِ والقُرَى، فذَهَبَ النَّاسُ لِيَرَوا ما جَرَى. 15 فلَمَّا وصَلُوا إِلى يَسُوعَ شَاهَدُوا الـمَمْسُوس، الَّذي كانَ فِيهِ فِرْقَةُ شيَاطِين، جَالِسًا، لابِسًا، سَلِيمَ العَقْل، فخَافُوا. 16 والَّذين رَأَوا أَخْبَرُوهُم بِمَا جَرَى لِلْمَمْسُوسِ وَلِلْخَنَازِير، 17 فبَدَأُوا يَتَوَسَّلُونَ إِلى يَسُوعَ أَنْ يَرْحَلَ عَنْ دِيَارِهِم. 18 وفِيمَا هُوَ صَاعِدٌ إِلى السَّفينَة، تَوَسَّلَ إِلَيْهِ ذَاكَ الَّذي كانَ مَمْسُوسًا أَنْ يَكُونَ مَعَهُ. 19 فلَمْ يَسْمَحْ لَهُ يَسُوع، بَلْ قَالَ لَهُ: "إِذْهَبْ إِلى بَيْتِكَ، إِلى أَهْلِكَ، وَأَخْبِرْهُم بِكُلِّ ما صَنَعَ الرَّبُّ إِلَيْك، وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ لَكَ". 20 فذَهَبَ وبَدَأَ يُنَادي في الـمُدُنِ العَشْرِ بِكُلِّ مَا صَنَعَ إِلَيْهِ يَسُوع، وكانَ الـجَمْيعُ يَتَعَجَّبُون.

Lecture French	03 Comme il convient aux fidèles la débauche, l’impureté sous toutes ses formes et la soif de posséder sont des choses qu’on ne doit même plus évoquer chez vous ; 04 pas davantage de propos grossiers, stupides ou scabreux – tout cela est déplacé – mais qu’il y ait plutôt des actions de grâce. 05 Sachez-le bien : ni les débauchés, ni les dépravés, ni les profiteurs – qui sont de vrais idolâtres – ne reçoivent d’héritage dans le royaume du Christ et de Dieu ; 06 ne laissez personne vous égarer par de vaines paroles. Tout cela attire la colère de Dieu sur ceux qui désobéissent. 07 N’ayez donc rien de commun avec ces gens-là. 08 Autrefois, vous étiez ténèbres ; maintenant, dans le Seigneur, vous êtes lumière ; conduisez-vous comme des enfants de lumière – 09 or la lumière a pour fruit tout ce qui est bonté, justice et vérité – 10 et sachez reconnaître ce qui est capable de plaire au Seigneur. 11 Ne prenez aucune part aux activités des ténèbres, elles ne produisent rien de bon ; démasquez-les plutôt. 12 Ce que ces gens-là font en cachette, on a honte même d’en parler. 13 Mais tout ce qui est démasqué est rendu manifeste par la lumière,
Evangile French	01 Ils arrivèrent sur l’autre rive, de l’autre côté de la mer de Galilée, dans le pays des Géraséniens. 02 Comme Jésus sortait de la barque, aussitôt un homme possédé d’un esprit impur s’avança depuis les tombes à sa rencontre ; 03 il habitait dans les tombeaux et personne ne pouvait plus l’attacher, même avec une chaîne ; 04 en effet on l’avait souvent attaché avec des fers aux pieds et des chaînes, mais il avait rompu les chaînes, brisé les fers, et personne ne pouvait le maîtriser. 05 Sans arrêt, nuit et jour, il était parmi les tombeaux et sur les collines, à crier, et à se blesser avec des pierres. 06 Voyant Jésus de loin, il accourut, se prosterna devant lui 07 et cria d’une voix forte : « Que me veux-tu, Jésus, fils du Dieu Très-Haut ? Je t’adjure par Dieu, ne me tourmente pas ! » 08 Jésus lui disait en effet : « Esprit impur, sors de cet homme ! » 09 Et il lui demandait : « Quel est ton nom ? » L’homme lui dit : « Mon nom est Légion, car nous sommes beaucoup. » 10 Et ils suppliaient Jésus avec insistance de ne pas les chasser en dehors du pays. 11 Or, il y avait là, du côté de la colline, un grand troupeau de porcs qui cherchait sa nourriture. 12 Alors, les esprits impurs supplièrent Jésus : « Envoie-nous vers ces porcs, et nous entrerons en eux. » 13 Il le leur permit. Ils sortirent alors de l’homme et entrèrent dans les porcs. Du haut de la falaise, le troupeau se précipita dans la mer : il y avait environ deux mille porcs, et ils se noyaient dans la mer. 14 Ceux qui les gardaient prirent la fuite, ils annoncèrent la nouvelle dans la ville et dans la campagne, et les gens vinrent voir ce qui s’était passé. 15 Ils arrivent auprès de Jésus, ils voient le possédé assis, habillé, et revenu à la raison, lui qui avait eu la légion de démons, et ils furent saisis de crainte. 16 Ceux qui avaient vu tout cela leur racontèrent l’histoire du possédé et ce qui était arrivé aux porcs. 17 Alors ils se mirent à supplier Jésus de quitter leur territoire. 18 Comme Jésus remontait dans la barque, le possédé le suppliait de pouvoir être avec lui. 19 Il n’y consentit pas, mais il lui dit : « Rentre à la maison, auprès des tiens, annonce-leur tout ce que le Seigneur a fait pour toi dans sa miséricorde. » 20 Alors l’homme s’en alla, il se mit à proclamer dans la région de la Décapole ce que Jésus avait fait pour lui, et tout le monde était dans l’admiration.

Live as children of light,g 9 for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth.h 10 Try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.i 11 Take no part in the fruitless works of darkness; rather expose them,j 12 for it is shameful even to mention the things done by them in secret; 13 but everything exposed by the light becomes visible,k
Evangile English	1 * a They came to the other side of the sea, to the territory of the Gerasenes. 2 When he got out of the boat, at once a man* from the tombs who had an unclean spirit met him. 3 The man had been dwelling among the tombs, and no one could restrain him any longer, even with a chain. 4 In fact, he had frequently been bound with shackles and chains, but the chains had been pulled apart by him and the shackles smashed, and no one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and on the hillsides he was always crying out and bruising himself with stones. 6 Catching sight of Jesus from a distance, he ran up and prostrated himself before him, 7 crying out in a loud voice, “What have you to do with me,* Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me!” 8 (He had been saying to him, “Unclean spirit, come out of the man!”) 9 * He asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “Legion is my name. There are many of us.”b 10 And he pleaded earnestly with him not to drive them away from that territory. 11 Now a large herd of swine* was feeding there on the hillside. 12 And they pleaded with him, “Send us into the swine. Let us enter them.” 13 And he let them, and the unclean spirits came out and entered the swine. The herd of about two thousand rushed down a steep bank into the sea, where they were drowned. 14 The swineherds ran away and reported the incident in the town and throughout the countryside. And people came out to see what had happened. 15 As they approached Jesus, they caught sight of the man who had been possessed by Legion, sitting there clothed and in his right mind. And they were seized with fear. 16 Those who witnessed the incident explained to them what had happened to the possessed man and to the swine. 17 Then they began to beg him to leave their district. 18 As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed pleaded to remain with him. 19 But he would not permit him but told him instead, “Go home* to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you.” 20 Then the man went off and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done for him; and all were amazed.
