Lecture Arabic	12 لِذـلِكَ قَوُّوا الأَيْدِيَ الـمُسْتَرْخِيَة، والرُّكَبَ الوَاهِنَة، 13 واجْعَلُوا لأَقْدَامِكُم سُبُلاً قَوِيْمَة، لِئَلاَّ يَزِيغَ العُضْوُ الأَعْرَجُ عنِ السَّبِيل، بَلْ بِالـحَرِيِّ أَنْ يُشْفَى. 14 أُطْلُبُوا السَّلامَ مَعَ جَمِيعِ النَّاس، والقَدَاسَةَ الَّتي لَنْ يُعَايِنَ الرَّبَّ أَحَدٌ بِدُونِهَا. 15 تيَقَّظُوا لِئَلاَّ يَتَخَلَّفَ أَحَدٌ عَنْ نِعْمَةِ الله، ولِئَلاَّ يَنْبُتَ عِرْقُ مَرارَةٍ يُزْعِج، فيُفْسَدُ بِهِ الكَثِيرُون، 16 ولِئَلاَّ يَكُونَ أَحَدٌ فَاجِرًا أَو مُدَنَّسًا مِثْلَ عِيسُو، الَّذي بَاعَ بِكْرِيَّتَهُ بأَكْلَةٍ وَاحِدَة، 17 فأَنْتُم تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ بَعْدَ ذـلِكَ، أَرادَ أَنْ يَرِثَ البَرَكَةَ فَرُذِل، لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَجِدْ سَبيلاً إِلى تَغْيِيرِ رأْيِ أَبِيه، معَ أَنَّهُ الْتَمَسَ ذـلِكَ بِالدُّمُوع. 18 فَإِنَّكُم لَمْ تَقْتَرِبُوا إِلى جَبَلٍ مَلْمُوس، ونارٍ مُتَّقِدَة، وضَبَابٍ وظَلامٍ وزَوبَعَة، 19 وهُتَافِ بُوق، وصَوتِ كَلِمَاتٍ طَلَبَ الَّذِينَ سَمِعُوهَا أَلاَّ يُزَادُوا مِنهَا كَلِمَة؛ 20 لأَنَّهُم لَمْ يُطِيقُوا تَحَمُّلَ هـذَا الأَمْر: "ولَو أَنَّ بَهِيمَةً مَسَّتِ الـجَبَلَ تُرْجَم!". 21 وكانَ الـمَنْظَرُ رَهِيبًا حَتَّى إِنَّ مُوسَى قال: "إِنِّي خَائِفٌ ومُرْتَعِد!".
Evangile Arabic	31 وإِذْ كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّهْيِئَة، سَأَلَ اليَهُودُ بِيلاطُسَ أَنْ تُكْسَرَ سِيقَانُ الـمَصْلُوبِينَ وتُنْزَلَ أَجْسَادُهُم، لِئَلاَّ تَبْقَى عَلى الصَّليبِ يَوْمَ السَّبْت، لأَنَّ يَوْمَ ذـلِكَ السَّبْتِ كَانَ عَظِيمًا. 32 فَأَتَى الـجُنُودُ وكَسَرُوا سَاقَي الأَوَّلِ والآخَرِ الـمَصْلُوبَينِ مَعَ يَسُوع. 33 أَمَّا يَسُوع، فَلَمَّا جَاؤُوا إِلَيْهِ ورَأَوا أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَات، لَمْ يَكْسِرُوا سَاقَيْه. 34 لـكِنَّ وَاحِدًا مِنَ الـجُنُودِ طَعَنَ جَنْبَهُ بِحَرْبَة. فَخَرَجَ في الـحَالِ دَمٌ ومَاء. 35 والَّذي رَأَى شَهِدَ، وشَهَادَتُهُ حَقّ، وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يَقُولُ الـحَقَّ لِكَي تُؤْمِنُوا أَنْتُم أَيْضًا. 36 وحَدَثَ هـذَا لِتَتِمَّ آيَةُ الكِتَاب: "لَنْ يُكْسَرَ لَهُ عَظْم". 37 وجَاءَ في آيَةٍ أُخْرَى: "سَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلى الَّذي طَعَنُوه".

Lecture French	12 C’est pourquoi, redressez les mains inertes et les genoux qui fléchissent, 13 et rendez droits pour vos pieds les sentiers tortueux. Ainsi, celui qui boite ne se fera pas d’entorse ; bien plus, il sera guéri. 14 Recherchez activement la paix avec tous, et la sainteté sans laquelle personne ne verra le Seigneur. 15 Soyez vigilants : que personne ne se dérobe à la grâce de Dieu, qu’il ne pousse chez vous aucune plante aux fruits amers, cela causerait du trouble, et beaucoup en seraient infectés ; 16 qu’il n’y ait pas de débauché ni de profanateur, comme Ésaü qui vendit son droit d’aînesse en échange d’un seul plat. 17 Vous savez que par la suite, quand il voulut recevoir en héritage la bénédiction, il fut rejeté, car il ne trouva aucune possibilité de changement à son égard, malgré ses réclamations et ses larmes. 18 Vous n’êtes pas venus vers une réalité palpable, embrasée par le feu, comme la montagne du Sinaï : pas d’obscurité, de ténèbres ni d’ouragan, 19 pas de son de trompettes ni de paroles prononcées par cette voix que les fils d’Israël demandèrent à ne plus entendre. 20 Car ils ne supportaient pas cette interdiction : Qui touchera la montagne, même si c’est un animal, sera lapidé. 21 Le spectacle était si effrayant que Moïse dit : Je suis effrayé et tremblant.
Evangile French	31 Comme c’était le jour de la Préparation (c’est-à-dire le vendredi), il ne fallait pas laisser les corps en croix durant le sabbat, d’autant plus que ce sabbat était le grand jour de la Pâque. Aussi les Juifs demandèrent à Pilate qu’on enlève les corps après leur avoir brisé les jambes. 32 Les soldats allèrent donc briser les jambes du premier, puis de l’autre homme crucifié avec Jésus. 33 Quand ils arrivèrent à Jésus, voyant qu’il était déjà mort, ils ne lui brisèrent pas les jambes, 34 mais un des soldats avec sa lance lui perça le côté ; et aussitôt, il en sortit du sang et de l’eau. 35 Celui qui a vu rend témoignage, et son témoignage est véridique ; et celui-là sait qu’il dit vrai afin que vous aussi, vous croyiez. 36 Cela, en effet, arriva pour que s’accomplisse l’Écriture : Aucun de ses os ne sera brisé. 37 Un autre passage de l’Écriture dit encore : Ils lèveront les yeux vers celui qu’ils ont transpercé.

Lecture English	12 So strengthen your drooping hands and your weak knees.f 13 Make straight paths for your feet, that what is lame may not be dislocated but healed.g Penalties of Disobedience. 14 h Strive for peace with everyone, and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord. 15 * See to it that no one be deprived of the grace of God, that no bitter root spring up and cause trouble, through which many may become defiled,i 16 that no one be an immoral or profane person like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal.j 17 For you know that later, when he wanted to inherit his father’s blessing, he was rejected because he found no opportunity to change his mind, even though he sought the blessing with tears.k 18 * You have not approached that which could be touched*l and a blazing fire and gloomy darkness and storm 19 and a trumpet blast and a voice speaking words such that those who heard begged that no message be further addressed to them,m 20 for they could not bear to hear the command: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned.”n 21 Indeed, so fearful was the spectacle that Moses said, “I am terrified and trembling.”
Evangile English	31 Now since it was preparation day, in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for the sabbath day of that week was a solemn one, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs be broken and they be taken down.r 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and then of the other one who was crucified with Jesus. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs, 34 * s but one soldier thrust his lance into his side, and immediately blood and water flowed out. 35 An eyewitness has testified, and his testimony is true; he knows* that he is speaking the truth, so that you also may [come to] believe.t 36 For this happened so that the scripture passage might be fulfilled: “Not a bone of it will be broken.”u 37 And again another passage says: “They will look upon him whom they have pierced.”v
