Lecture Arabic	6 ونُوصِيكُم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح، أَنْ تَتَجَنَّبُوا كُلَّ أَخٍ يَسْلُكُ سُلُوكًا مُقْلِقًا، مُخَالِفًا لِلتَّقْليدِ الَّذي تَلَقَّيْتُمُوهُ مِنَّا. 7 فَأَنْتُم أَنْفُسُكُم تَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ تَقْتَدُوا بِنَا، لأَنَّنَا لَمْ نَكُنْ بيْنَكُم مُقْلِقِين، 8 ولا أَكَلْنَا الـخُبْزَ مَجَّانًا مِنْ أَحَد، بَلْ كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ بِتَعَبٍ وكَدّ، لَيْلَ نَهَار، لِئَلاَّ نُثَقِّلَ عَلى أَحدٍ مِنْكُم، 9 لا لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لنا سُلْطَان، بَلْ لِكَي نُعْطِيَكُم أَنْفُسَنَا مِثَالاً لِتَقْتَدُوا بِنَا. 10 فإِنَّنَا، لَمَّا كُنَّا عِنْدَكُم، كُنَّا نُوصِيكُم بِهـذَا: إِذا كَانَ أَحدٌ لا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَعْمَل، فعَلَيْهِ أَيْضًا أَنْ لا يَأْكُل! 11 وقَدْ سَمِعْنَا أَنَّ بَعضًا مِنُكم يَسْلُكُونَ سُلُوكًا مُقْلِقًا، ولا يَعْمَلُونَ شَيئًا، لـكِنَّهُم يَعْمَلُونَ مَا لا يَعْنِيهِم. 12 فَنُوصِي أَمثَالَ هـؤُلاء، ونُنَاشِدُهُم في الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح، أَنْ يَعْمَلُوا بِهُدُوءٍ ويَأْكُلُوا خُبْزَهُم. 13 أَمَّا أَنْتُم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، فلا تَمَلُّوا عَمَلَ الـخَير. 14 وإِنْ كانَ أَحَدٌ لا يُطِيعُ كَلِمَتَنَا في هـذهِ الرِّسَالة، فلاحِظُوهُ ولا تُخَالِطُوه، لَعَلَّهُ يَخْجَل!
Evangile Arabic	13 أُدْخُلُوا مِنَ البَابِ الضَّيِّق: لأَنَّهُ وَاسِعٌ البَابُ ورَحْبٌ الطَّرِيقُ الَّذي يُؤَدِّي إِلى الـهَلاك، وكَثِيرُون هُمُ الَّذينَ يَدْخُلُون مِنْهُ؛ 14 ومَا أَضْيَقَ البَابَ وأَحْرَجَ الطَّرِيقَ الَّذي يُؤَدِّي إِلى الـحَيَاة، وقَلِيلُونَ هُمُ الَّذينَ يَجِدُونَهُ. 15 إِحْذَرُوا الأَنْبِيَاءَ الكَذَبةَ الَّذينَ يَأْتُونَكُم بِلِبَاسِ الـحُمْلان، وهُمْ في بَاطنِهِم ذِئَابٌ خَاطِفَة. 16 مِنْ ثِمَارِهِم تَعْرِفُونَهُم: هَلْ يُجْنَى مِنَ الشَّوْكِ عِنَب، أَو مِنَ العَوْسَجِ تِين؟ 17 هـكَذَا كُلُّ شَجَرَةٍ صَالِحَةٍ تُثْمِرُ ثِمَارًا جَيِّدَة. أَمَّا الشَّجَرَةُ الفَاسِدَةُ فَتُثْمِرُ ثِمَارًا رَدِيئَة. 18 لا تَقْدِرُ شَجَرَةٌ صَالِحَةٌ أَنْ تُثْمِرَ ثِمَارًا رَدِيئَة، ولا شَجَرَةٌ فَاسِدَةٌ أَنْ تُثْمِرَ ثِمَارًا جَيِّدَة. 19 كُلُّ شَجَرَةٍ لا تُثْمِرُ ثَمَرًا جَيِّدًا تُقْطَعُ وتُلْقَى في النَّار. 20 فَمِنْ ثِمَارِهِم تَعْرِفُونَهُم. 21 لَيْسَ كُلُّ مَنْ يَقُولُ لي: يَا رَبّ، يَا رَبّ! يَدْخُلُ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوات، بَلْ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ مَشِيئَةَ أَبِي الَّذي في السَّمَاوَات. 22 كَثِيرُون سَيَقُولُونَ لي في ذـلِكَ اليَوْم: يَا رَبّ، يَا رَبّ! أَمَا بِاسْمِكَ تَنَبَّأْنَا، وبِاسْمِكَ أَخْرَجْنا الشَّيَاطِين، وبِاسْمِكَ عَمِلْنَا كَثيرًا مِنَ الأَعْمَالِ القَدِيرَة؟ 23 فَحِينَئِذٍ أُعْلِنُ لَهُم: مَا عَرَفْتُكُمُ البَتَّة. إِبْتَعِدُوا عَنِّي يَا فَاعِلِي الإِثْم! 24 فَكُلُّ مَنْ يَسْمَعُ أَقْوَالي هـذِهِ، ويَعْمَلُ بِهَا، يُشْبِهُ رَجُلاً حَكِيْمًا بَنَى بَيْتَهُ عَلى الصَّخْرَة. 25 وهَطَلَتِ الأَمْطَار، وفَاضَتِ الأَنْهَار، وعَصَفَتِ الرِّيَاح، وصَدَمَتْ ذـلِكَ البَيْت، فَلَمْ يَسْقُطْ، لأَنَّ أَسَاسَهُ بُنِيَ عَلى الصَّخْرَة. 26 وكُلُّ مَنْ يَسْمَعُ أَقْوَالي هـذِهِ، ولا يَعْمَلُ بِهَا، يُشْبِهُ رَجُلاً جَاهِلاً بَنَى بَيْتَهُ عَلى الرَّمْل. 27 وهَطَلَتِ الأَمْطَار، وجَرَتِ الأَنْهَار، وعَصَفَتِ الرِّيَاح، وصَدَمَتْ ذـلِكَ البَيْت، فَسَقَط، وكَانَ سُقُوطُهُ عَظِيْمًا".

Lecture French	06 Frères, au nom du Seigneur Jésus Christ, nous vous ordonnons d’éviter tout frère qui mène une vie désordonnée et ne suit pas la tradition que vous avez reçue de nous. 07 Vous savez bien, vous, ce qu’il faut faire pour nous imiter. Nous n’avons pas vécu parmi vous de façon désordonnée ; 08 et le pain que nous avons mangé, nous ne l’avons pas reçu gratuitement. Au contraire, dans la peine et la fatigue, nuit et jour, nous avons travaillé pour n’être à la charge d’aucun d’entre vous. 09 Bien sûr, nous avons le droit d’être à charge, mais nous avons voulu être pour vous un modèle à imiter. 10 Et quand nous étions chez vous, nous vous donnions cet ordre : si quelqu’un ne veut pas travailler, qu’il ne mange pas non plus. 11 Or, nous apprenons que certains d’entre vous mènent une vie déréglée, affairés sans rien faire. 12 À ceux-là, nous adressons dans le Seigneur Jésus Christ cet ordre et cet appel : qu’ils travaillent dans le calme pour manger le pain qu’ils auront gagné. 13 Vous, frères, ne vous lassez pas de faire le bien. 14 Si quelqu’un n’obéit pas à ce que nous disons dans cette lettre, signalez-le ; ne le fréquentez pas, pour qu’il soit couvert de confusion ;
Evangile French	13 « Entrez par la porte étroite. Elle est grande, la porte, il est large, le chemin qui conduit à la perdition ; et ils sont nombreux, ceux qui s’y engagent. 14 Mais elle est étroite, la porte, il est resserré, le chemin qui conduit à la vie ; et ils sont peu nombreux, ceux qui le trouvent. 15 Méfiez-vous des faux prophètes qui viennent à vous déguisés en brebis, alors qu’au-dedans ce sont des loups voraces. 16 C’est à leurs fruits que vous les reconnaîtrez. Va-t-on cueillir du raisin sur des épines, ou des figues sur des chardons ? 17 C’est ainsi que tout arbre bon donne de beaux fruits, et que l’arbre qui pourrit donne des fruits mauvais. 18 Un arbre bon ne peut pas donner des fruits mauvais, ni un arbre qui pourrit donner de beaux fruits. 19 Tout arbre qui ne donne pas de beaux fruits est coupé et jeté au feu. 20 Donc, c’est à leurs fruits que vous les reconnaîtrez. 21 Ce n’est pas en me disant : “Seigneur, Seigneur !” qu’on entrera dans le royaume des Cieux, mais c’est en faisant la volonté de mon Père qui est aux cieux. 22 Ce jour-là, beaucoup me diront : “Seigneur, Seigneur, n’est-ce pas en ton nom que nous avons prophétisé, en ton nom que nous avons expulsé les démons, en ton nom que nous avons fait beaucoup de miracles ?” 23 Alors je leur déclarerai : “Je ne vous ai jamais connus. Écartez-vous de moi, vous qui commettez le mal !” 24 Ainsi, celui qui entend les paroles que je dis là et les met en pratique est comparable à un homme prévoyant qui a construit sa maison sur le roc. 25 La pluie est tombée, les torrents ont dévalé, les vents ont soufflé et se sont abattus sur cette maison ; la maison ne s’est pas écroulée, car elle était fondée sur le roc. 26 Et celui qui entend de moi ces paroles sans les mettre en pratique est comparable à un homme insensé qui a construit sa maison sur le sable. 27 La pluie est tombée, les torrents ont dévalé, les vents ont soufflé, ils sont venus battre cette maison ; la maison s’est écroulée, et son écroulement a été complet. »

Lecture English	6 We instruct you, brothers, in the name of [our] Lord Jesus Christ, to shun any brother who conducts himself in a disorderly way and not according to the tradition they received from us.* 7 For you know how one must imitate us. For we did not act in a disorderly way among you, 8 nor did we eat food received free from anyone. On the contrary, in toil and drudgery, night and day we worked, so as not to burden any of you.d 9 Not that we do not have the right. Rather, we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you, so that you might imitate us.e 10 In fact, when we were with you, we instructed you that if anyone was unwilling to work, neither should that one eat.f 11 We hear that some are conducting themselves among you in a disorderly way, by not keeping busy but minding the business of others.g 12 Such people we instruct and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and to eat their own food. 13 But you, brothers, do not be remiss in doing good. 14 If anyone does not obey our word as expressed in this letter, take note of this person not to associate with him, that he may be put to shame.
Evangile English	13 * “Enter through the narrow gate;* for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.j 14 How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few. False Prophets.* 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves.k 16 l By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So by their fruits you will know them.m The True Disciple. 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven,* but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.n 22 Many will say to me on that day,o ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?’p 23 Then I will declare to them solemnly, ‘I never knew you.* Depart from me, you evildoers.’q The Two Foundations. 24 * “Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.r 25 The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house.s But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock. 26 And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house. And it collapsed and was completely ruined.”
