Lecture Arabic	1 لِذـلِكَ فَلْنَتْرُكِ الـمَبَادِئَ الأُولى في الكَلامِ عنِ الـمَسِيح، وَلْنَأْتِ إِلى مَا هُوَ أَكْمَل، ولا نَعُدْ إِلى وَضْعِ الأَسَاس، كالتَّوبَةِ عنِ الأَعْمَالِ الـمَيْتَة، والإِيْمَانِ بِالله، 2 وطُقُوسِ الـمَعمُودِيَّة، ووَضْعِ الأَيْدِي، وقِيَامَةِ الأَمْوَات، والدَّيْنُونَةِ الأَبَدِيَّة. 3 وذـلِكَ مَا سَنَفْعَلُهُ بِإِذْنِ الله! 4 فَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ اسْتَنَارُوا مَرَّةً، وذَاقُوا الـمَوهِبَةَ السَّمَاويَّة، واشْتَرَكُوا في الرُّوحِ القُدُس، 5 وذَاقُوا كَلِمَةَ اللهِ الطَّيِّبَة، وقُوَّةَ الدَّهْرِ الآتِي، 6 وسَقَطُوا، هـؤُلاءِ يَسْتَحِيلُ عَلَيْهِم أَنْ يتَجَدَّدُوا ثَانِيَةً، لأَنَّهُم مِنْ أَجْلِ تَوبَتِهِم يَصْلِبُونَ ابْنَ اللهِ مَرَّةً ثَانِيَةً ويُعَرِّضُونَهُ لِلعَار! 7 إِنَّ الأَرْضَ الَّتي شَرِبَتِ الـمَطَرَ النَّازِلَ عَلَيْهَا مِرَارًا، فأَطْلَعَتْ نَبْتًا نَافِعًا لِلَّذِينَ يَحرُثُونَهَا، تَنَالُ البَرَكَةَ مِنَ الله، 8 أَمَّا إِنْ أَنْبَتَتْ شَوْكًا وحَسَكًا فَهِيَ مَرذُولَةٌ وقَرِيبَةٌ مِنَ اللَّعْنَة، ومَصِيرُهَا إِلى الـحَرِيق. 9 ونَحْنُ، أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاء، وإِنْ كُنَّا نُكَلِّمُكُم هـكَذا، فإِنَّنَا وَاثِقُونَ مِن جِهَتِكُم، أَنَّكُم في حَالٍ أَفْضَلَ وأَضْمَنَ لِلخَلاص.
Evangile Arabic	17 ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُم وخَرَجَ مِنَ الـمَدِيْنَةِ إِلى بَيْتَ عَنْيَا وبَاتَ هُنَاك. 18 وبَيْنَمَا هُوَ رَاجِعٌ عِنْدَ الفَجْرِ إِلى الـمَدِيْنَة، جَاع. 19 ورَأَى تِينَةً عَلى جَانِبِ الطَّريق، فَذَهَبَ إِلَيْهَا، ولَمْ يَجِدْ علَيهَا إِلاَّ وَرَقًا فَقَط، فَقَالَ لَهَا: "لا يَكُنْ فَيكِ ثَمَرٌ إِلى الأَبَد!". فَيَبِسَتِ التِّينَةُ حَالاً. 20 ورَأَى التَّلامِيذُ ذـلِكَ فَتَعَجَّبُوا وقَالُوا: "كَيْفَ يَبِسَتِ التِّينَةُ حَالاً؟". 21 فأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهُم: "أَلـحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنْ كُنْتُم تُؤْمِنُونَ ولا تَشُكُّون، فَلَنْ تَفْعَلُوا مَا فَعَلْتُ أَنا بِالتِّينَةِ فَحَسْب، بَلْ إِنْ قُلْتُم أَيْضًا لِهـذَا الـجَبَل: إِنْقَلِعْ وَاهْبِطْ في البَحْر، يَكُونُ لَكُم ذـلِكَ. 22 وكُلُّ مَا تَطْلُبُونَهُ في الصَّلاةِ بِإيْمَان، تَنَالُونَهُ". 23 وجَاءَ يَسُوعُ إِلى الـهَيْكَل، وبَينَمَا هُوَ يُعَلِّم، دَنَا مِنهُ الأَحْبَارُ وشُيُوخُ الشَّعْبِ وقَالُوا لَهُ: "بِأَيِّ سُلْطَانٍ تَفْعَلُ هـذَا ؟ ومَنْ أَعْطَاكَ هـذَا السُّلْطَان؟". 24 فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهُم: "وأَنَا أَيْضًا أَسْأَلُكُم سُؤَالاً وَاحِدًا، فَإِنْ أَجَبْتُمُونِي قُلْتُ لَكُم أَنا أَيْضًا بِأَيِّ سُلْطَانٍ أَفْعَلُ هـذَا. 25 مَعْمُودِيَّةُ يُوحَنَّا مِنْ أَيْنَ كَانَتْ؟ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَمْ مِنَ النَّاس؟". فَأَخَذُوا يُفَكِّرُونَ في أَنْفُسِهِم قَائِلين: "إِنْ قُلْنَا: مِنَ السَّمَاء، يَقُولُ لَنَا:فَلِمُاذَا لَم تُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ؟ 26 وإِنْ قُلْنَا: مِنَ النَّاس، نَخَافُ مِنَ الـجَمْع، لأَنَّهُم كُلَّهُم يَعْتَبِرُونَ يُوحَنَّا نَبِيًّا". 27 فَأَجَابُوا وقَالُوا لِيَسُوع: "لا نَعْلَم!". قَالَ لَهُم هُوَ أَيْضًا: "ولا أَنَا أَقُولُ لَكُم بِأَيِّ سُلْطَانٍ أَفْعَلُ هـذَا.

Lecture French	01 Dès lors, laissons de côté l’enseignement élémentaire sur le Christ, élevons-nous à la perfection d’adultes, au lieu de poser une nouvelle fois les fondements, à savoir : conversion avec rejet des œuvres mortes et foi en Dieu, 02 instruction sur les baptêmes et l’imposition des mains, la résurrection des morts et le jugement définitif. 03 Nous élever à la perfection d’adultes, voilà donc ce que nous allons faire si Dieu le permet. 04 Une fois que l’on a reçu la lumière, goûté au don du ciel, que l’on a eu part à l’Esprit Saint, 05 que l’on a goûté la parole excellente de Dieu, ainsi que les puissances du monde à venir, 06 si l’on retombe, il est impossible d’être amené à une nouvelle conversion, alors que soi-même, on crucifie de nouveau le Fils de Dieu et on le tourne en dérision.
Evangile French	17 Alors il les quitta et sortit de la ville en direction de Béthanie, où il passa la nuit. 18 Le matin, en revenant vers la ville, il eut faim. 19 Voyant un figuier au bord du chemin, il s’en approcha, mais il n’y trouva rien d’autre que des feuilles, et il lui dit : « Que plus jamais aucun fruit ne vienne de toi. » Et à l’instant même, le figuier se dessécha. 20 En voyant cela, les disciples s’étonnèrent et dirent : « Comment se fait-il que le figuier s’est desséché à l’instant même ? » 21 Alors Jésus leur déclara : « Amen, je vous le dis : si vous avez la foi et si vous ne doutez pas, vous ne ferez pas seulement ce que j’ai fait au figuier ; vous pourrez même dire à cette montagne : “Enlève-toi de là, et va te jeter dans la mer”, et cela se produira. 22 Tout ce que vous demanderez dans votre prière avec foi, vous l’obtiendrez. » 23 Jésus était entré dans le Temple, et, pendant qu’il enseignait, les grands prêtres et les anciens du peuple s’approchèrent de lui et demandèrent : « Par quelle autorité fais-tu cela, et qui t’a donné cette autorité ? » 24 Jésus leur répliqua : « À mon tour, je vais vous poser une question, une seule ; et si vous me répondez, je vous dirai, moi aussi, par quelle autorité je fais cela : 25 Le baptême de Jean, d’où venait-il ? du ciel ou des hommes ? » Ils faisaient en eux-mêmes ce raisonnement : « Si nous disons : “Du ciel”, il va nous dire : “Pourquoi donc n’avez-vous pas cru à sa parole ?” 26 Si nous disons : “Des hommes”, nous devons redouter la foule, car tous tiennent Jean pour un prophète. » 27 Ils répondirent donc à Jésus : « Nous ne savons pas ! » Il leur dit à son tour : « Moi, je ne vous dis pas non plus par quelle autorité je fais cela.

Lecture English	1 Therefore, let us leave behind the basic teaching about Christ and advance to maturity, without laying the foundation all over again: repentance from dead works and faith in God,a 2 instruction about baptisms* and laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.b 3 And we shall do this, if only God permits. 4 For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened and tasted the heavenly gift* and shared in the holy Spiritc 5 and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,* 6 and then have fallen away, to bring them to repentance again, since they are recrucifying the Son of God for themselves* and holding him up to contempt.d 7 Ground that has absorbed the rain falling upon it repeatedly and brings forth crops useful to those for whom it is cultivated receives a blessing from God.e 8 But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is rejected; it will soon be cursed and finally burned.f 9 But we are sure in your regard, beloved, of better things related to salvation, even though we speak in this way.

The Cursing of the Fig Tree.* 18 j When he was going back to the city in the morning, he was hungry. 19 k Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went over to it, but found nothing on it except leaves. And he said to it, “May no fruit ever come from you again.” And immediately the fig tree withered. 20 When the disciples saw this, they were amazed and said, “How was it that the fig tree withered immediately?” 21 * l Jesus said to them in reply, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not waver, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 m Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.” The Authority of Jesus Questioned.* 23 n When he had come into the temple area, the chief priests and the elders of the people approached him as he was teaching and said, “By what authority are you doing these things?* And who gave you this authority?”o 24 Jesus said to them in reply, “I shall ask you one question,* and if you answer it for me, then I shall tell you by what authority I do these things. 25 Where was John’s baptism from? Was it of heavenly or of human origin?” They discussed this among themselves and said, “If we say ‘Of heavenly origin,’ he will say to us, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’ 26 * p But if we say, ‘Of human origin,’ we fear the crowd, for they all regard John as a prophet.” 27 So they said to Jesus in reply, “We do not know.” He himself said to them, “Neither shall I tell you by what authority I do these things.*
