Lecture Arabic	11 أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاء، أُنَاشِدُكُم، كَنُزَلاءَ ومُتَغَرِّبِين، أَنْ تَمْتَنِعُوا عنِ الشَّهَواتِ الـجَسَدِيَّةِ الَّتي تُحَارِبُ النَّفْس. 12 لِتَكُنْ سِيرَتُكُم بَينَ الأُمَمِ حَسَنَة، حتَّى إِذَا افتَرَوا عَلَيْكُم كَأَنَّكُم فَاعِلُو سُوء، يُلاحِظُونَ أَعمالَكُمُ الـحَسَنَة، فيُمَجِّدُونَ اللهَ في يَوْمِ الافْتِقَاد. 13 إِخْضَعُوا، إِكرامًا للرَّبّ، لِكُلِّ نِظامٍ بَشَرِيّ: أَمَّا لِلمَلِكِ فَبِاعْتِبَارِهِ السُّلْطَةَ العُلْيَا، 14 وأَمَّا لِلوُلاةِ فبِاعْتِبَارِهِم مُرْسَلِينَ مِنْ قِبَلِهِ لِلانْتِقَامِ مِنْ فَاعِلِي الشَّرّ، والثَّنَاءِ عَلى فَاعِلِي الـخَير. 15 فَإِنَّ مَشِيئَةَ اللهِ هِيَ أَنْ تَكُونُوا فَاعِلِي خَير، لِتُفْحِمُوا جَهَالَةَ النَّاسِ الأَغْبِيَاء! 16 تصَرَّفُوا كأُنَاسٍ أَحْرَار، لا كَمَنْ يَجْعَلُونَ الـحُرِّيَّةَ سِتَارًا لارْتِكَابِ الشَّرّ، بَلْ كَعَبِيدٍ لله. 17 أَكْرِمُوا الـجَمِيع، أَحِبُّوا الإِخْوَة، إِتَّقُوا الله، أَكْرِمُوا الْمَلِك.
Evangile Arabic	41 وفِيمَا الفَرِّيسِيُّونَ مُجْتَمِعُونَ سَأَلَهُم يَسُوعُ 42 قَائِلاً: "مَا رَأْيُكُم في الـمَسيح: إِبْنُ مَنْ هُوَ؟". قَالُوا لَهُ: "إِبْنُ دَاوُد". 43 قَالَ لَهُم: "إِذًا، كَيفَ يَدْعُوهُ دَاوُدُ بِالرُّوحِ رَبًّا، إِذْ يَقُول: 44 قَالَ الرَّبُّ لِرَبِّي: إِجْلِسْ عَنْ يَمِينِي، حَتَّى أَجْعَلَ أَعْدَاءَكَ مَوْطِئًا لِقَدَمَيك؟ 45 فَإِنْ كَانَ دَاوُدُ يَدْعُو الـمَسِيحَ رَبًّا، فَكَيفَ يَكُونُ الـمَسِيحُ لَهُ ابْنًا؟". 46 فَلَمْ يَقْدِرْ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يُجِيبَهُ بِكَلِمَة. ومِنْ ذـلِكَ اليَومِ مَا عَادَ أَحَدٌ يَجْرُؤُ أَنْ يَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ شَيء.

Lecture French	11 Bien-aimés, puisque vous êtes comme des étrangers résidents ou de passage, je vous exhorte à vous abstenir des convoitises nées de la chair, qui combattent contre l’âme. 12 Ayez une belle conduite parmi les gens des nations ; ainsi, sur le point même où ils disent du mal de vous en vous traitant de malfaiteurs, ils ouvriront les yeux devant vos belles actions et rendront gloire à Dieu, le jour de sa visite. 13 Soyez soumis à toute institution humaine à cause du Seigneur, soit à l’empereur, qui est le souverain, 14 soit aux gouverneurs, qui sont ses délégués pour punir les malfaiteurs et reconnaître les mérites des gens de bien. 15 Car la volonté de Dieu, c’est qu’en faisant le bien, vous fermiez la bouche aux insensés qui parlent sans savoir. 16 Soyez des hommes libres, sans toutefois utiliser la liberté pour voiler votre méchanceté : mais soyez plutôt les esclaves de Dieu. 17 Honorez tout le monde, aimez la communauté des frères, craignez Dieu, honorez l’empereur.
Evangile French	41 Comme les pharisiens se trouvaient réunis, Jésus les interrogea : 42 « Quel est votre avis au sujet du Christ ? de qui est-il le fils ? » Ils lui répondent : « De David. » 43 Jésus leur réplique : « Comment donc David, inspiré par l’Esprit, peut-il l’appeler “Seigneur”, en disant : 44 Le Seigneur a dit à mon Seigneur : “Siège à ma droite jusqu’à ce que j’aie placé tes ennemis sous tes pieds” ? 45 Si donc David l’appelle Seigneur, comment peut-il être son fils ? » 46 Personne n’était capable de lui répondre un mot et, à partir de ce jour-là, nul n’osa plus l’interroger.

Christian Citizens.* 13 Be subject to every human institution for the Lord’s sake, whether it be to the king as supremek 14 or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the approval of those who do good. 15 For it is the will of God that by doing good you may silence the ignorance of foolish people. 16 Be free, yet without using freedom as a pretext for evil, but as slaves of God.l 17 Give honor to all, love the community, fear God, honor the king.m
Evangile English	41 m While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus questioned them,* 42 * saying, “What is your opinion about the Messiah? Whose son is he?” They replied, “David’s.” 43 He said to them, “How, then, does David, inspired by the Spirit, call him ‘lord,’ saying: 44 n ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies under your feet”’? 45 * If David calls him ‘lord,’ how can he be his son?” 46 o No one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare to ask him any more questions.
