Lecture Arabic	13 لِذـلِكَ نَحْنُ أَيضًا نَشكُرُ اللهَ بغيرِ انْقِطَاع، لأَنَّكُم لَمَّا تَلَقَّيْتُم كَلِمَةَ الله الَّتي سَمِعْتُمُوهَا مِنَّا، قَبِلْتُمُوهَا لا بِأَنَّهَا كَلِمَةُ بَشَر، بَلْ بِأَنَّهَا حَقًّا كَلِمَةُ الله. وإِنَّهَا لَفَاعِلَةٌ فيكُم، أَيُّهَا الـمُؤْمِنُون. 14 فأَنْتُم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، قَدِ اقْتَدَيْتُم بِكَنَائِسِ اللهِ في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوع، الَّتي هِيَ في اليَهُودِيَّة، لأَنَّكُمُ احْتَمَلْتُم أَنْتُم أَيْضًا مِنْ بَنِي أُمَّتِكُم، ما احْتَمَلُوهُ هُم مِنَ اليَهُود، 15 الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا الرَّبَّ يَسُوع، والأَنْبِيَاء، واضْطَهَدُونَا نَحْنُ أَيْضًا، وهُم لا يُرْضُونَ الله، ويُعادُونَ كُلَّ الـنَّاس، 16 ويَمْنَعُونَنَا مِنْ أَنْ نُكَلِّمَ الأُمَمَ فَيَنَالُوا الـخَلاص، وبِذـلِكَ يُطَفِّحُونَ على الدَّوامِ كَيْلَ آثَامِهِم. لَقَدْ حَلَّ الغَضَبُ عَلَيْهِم إِلى النِّهَايَة. 17 أَمَّا نَحْنُ، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، فَمَا إِنْ تَيَتَّمْنَا مِنْكُم مُدَّةَ سَاعَة، بِالوَجْهِ لا بِالقَلْب، حَتَّى بَذَلْنَا جَهْدًا شَدِيدًا، وَبِشَوقٍ كَبير، لِنَرى وَجْهَكُم. 18 لِذـلِكَ أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَأْتِيَ إِلَيكُم، أَنَا بُولُسَ على الأَخَصّ، مرَّةً وَاثْنَتَيْن، ولـكِنْ عَاقَنَا الشَّيْطَان. 19 فَمَا هوَ رَجَاؤُنَا أَو فَرَحُنَا أَو إِكْليلُ فَخْرِنَا، في حَضْرَةِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوع، عِنْدَ مَجِيئِهِ، أَفَلَسْتُم أَنْتُم أَيْضًا؟ 20 بَلَى! أَنْتُم مَجْدُنَا وفَخْرُنَا.
Evangile Arabic	1 بَعْدَ ذـلِك، عَبَرَ يَسُوعُ بَحْرَ الـجَليل، أَي بُحَيْرَةَ طَبَرَيَّة. 2 وكَانَ يَتْبَعُهُ جَمْعٌ كَثِير، لأَنَّهُم شَاهَدُوا الآيَاتِ الَّتِي كَانَ يَصْنَعُهَا لِلمَرْضَى. 3 وصَعِدَ يَسُوعُ إِلى الـجَبَل، وجَلَسَ هُنَاكَ مَعَ تَلامِيذِهِ. 4 وكَانَ الفِصْحُ، عِيدُ اليَهُودِ، قَريبًا. 5 ورَفَعَ يَسُوعُ عَيْنَيْه، ورَأَى جَمْعًا كَثِيراً مُقْبِلاً إِلَيْه، فَقَالَ لِفِيلِبُّس: "مِنْ أَيْنَ نَشْتَرِي خُبْزًا لِيَأْكُلَ هـؤُلاء؟". 6 قَالَ يَسُوعُ هـذَا لِيَمْتَحِنَ فِيلِبُّسَ، لأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَعْلَمُ مَا سَوْفَ يَصْنَع. 7 أَجَابَهُ فِيلِبُّس: "لا يَكْفِيهِم خُبْزٌ بِمِئَتَي دِينَار، لِيَحْصَلَ كُلٌّ مِنْهُم عَلى شَيءٍ قَلِيل". 8 قَالَ لَهُ وَاحِدٌ مِنْ تَلامِيذِهِ، وهُوَ أَنْدرَاوُس، أَخُو سِمْعَانَ بُطْرُس: 9 "هُنَا صَبِيٌّ مَعَهُ خَمْسَةُ أَرْغِفَةٍ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ وسَمَكَتَان، ولـكِنْ مَا هـذَا لِكُلِّ هـؤُلاء؟". 10 قَالَ يَسُوع: "أَجْلِسُوا النَّاس". وكَانَ في الـمَوضِعِ عُشْبٌ كَثِير. فَجَلَسَ الرِّجَال، وعَدَدُهُم نَحْوُ خَمْسَةِ آلاف. 11 فَأَخَذَ يَسُوعُ الأَرْغِفَةَ وشَكَر، ثُمَّ وزَّعَهَا عَلى الـجَالِسِينَ بِقَدْرِ مَا شَاؤُوا. وكَذـلِكَ فَعَلَ بِالسَّمَكَتَين. 12 ولَمَّا شَبِعُوا، قَالَ يَسُوعُ لِتَلامِيذِهِ: "إِجْمَعُوا مَا فَضَلَ مِنْ كِسَرٍ، لِئَلاَّ يَضِيعَ شَيء". 13 فَجَمَعُوا مَا فَضَلَ عَنِ الآكِلينَ مِنْ كِسَرِ أَرْغِفَةِ الشَّعِيرِ الـخَمْسَة، ومَلأُوا اثْنَتَي عَشْرَة قُفَّة. 14 فَلَمَّا رَأَى النَّاسُ الآيَةَ الَّتِي صَنَعَهَا يَسُوع، أَخَذُوا يَقُولُون: "حَقًّا، هـذَا هُوَ النَّبِيُّ الآتِي إِلى العَالَم". 15 وعَرَفَ يَسُوعُ أَنَّهُم يَهُمُّونَ أَنْ يَأْتُوا ويَخْطَفُوه، لِيَجْعَلُوهُ مَلِكًا، فَعَادَ واعْتَزَلَ فِي الـجَبَلِ وَحْدَهُ.

Lecture French	13 Et voici pourquoi nous ne cessons de rendre grâce à Dieu : quand vous avez reçu la parole de Dieu que nous vous faisions entendre, vous l’avez accueillie pour ce qu’elle est réellement, non pas une parole d’hommes, mais la parole de Dieu qui est à l’œuvre en vous, les croyants. 14 En effet, frères, vous avez imité les Églises de Dieu qui vivent en Judée dans le Christ Jésus, parce que vous avez souffert de la part de vos compatriotes de la même manière qu’elles ont souffert de la part des Juifs. 15 Ceux-ci ont tué le Seigneur Jésus et les prophètes, et nous ont persécutés ; ils déplaisent à Dieu ; ils sont les adversaires de tous les hommes, 16 puisqu’ils nous empêchent de proclamer la Parole aux païens pour qu’ils soient sauvés ; cela met sans cesse un comble à leurs péchés. Mais, à la fin, la colère de Dieu les a rejoints. 17 Quant à nous, frères, séparés de vous pour un temps – de visage mais non de cœur – nous avons tout fait pour revoir votre visage, tellement nous en avions le désir. 18 Nous avons donc voulu aller chez vous – moi, Paul, j’ai essayé une fois, même deux fois – mais Satan nous en a empêchés. 19 En effet, qui est notre espérance ? Qui est notre joie et la couronne dont nous serons fiers devant notre Seigneur Jésus lors de sa venue ? N’est-ce pas vous ? 20 Oui, c’est vous qui êtes notre gloire et notre joie.
Evangile French	01 Après cela, Jésus passa de l’autre côté de la mer de Galilée, le lac de Tibériade. 02 Une grande foule le suivait, parce qu’elle avait vu les signes qu’il accomplissait sur les malades. 03 Jésus gravit la montagne, et là, il était assis avec ses disciples. 04 Or, la Pâque, la fête des Juifs, était proche. 05 Jésus leva les yeux et vit qu’une foule nombreuse venait à lui. Il dit à Philippe : « Où pourrions-nous acheter du pain pour qu’ils aient à manger ? » 06 Il disait cela pour le mettre à l’épreuve, car il savait bien, lui, ce qu’il allait faire. 07 Philippe lui répondit : « Le salaire de deux cents journées ne suffirait pas pour que chacun reçoive un peu de pain. » 08 Un de ses disciples, André, le frère de Simon-Pierre, lui dit : 09 « Il y a là un jeune garçon qui a cinq pains d’orge et deux poissons, mais qu’est-ce que cela pour tant de monde ! » 10 Jésus dit : « Faites asseoir les gens. » Il y avait beaucoup d’herbe à cet endroit. Ils s’assirent donc, au nombre d’environ cinq mille hommes. 11 Alors Jésus prit les pains et, après avoir rendu grâce, il les distribua aux convives ; il leur donna aussi du poisson, autant qu’ils en voulaient. 12 Quand ils eurent mangé à leur faim, il dit à ses disciples : « Rassemblez les morceaux en surplus, pour que rien ne se perde. » 13 Ils les rassemblèrent, et ils remplirent douze paniers avec les morceaux des cinq pains d’orge, restés en surplus pour ceux qui prenaient cette nourriture. 14 À la vue du signe que Jésus avait accompli, les gens disaient : « C’est vraiment lui le Prophète annoncé, celui qui vient dans le monde. » 15 Mais Jésus savait qu’ils allaient venir l’enlever pour faire de lui leur roi ; alors de nouveau il se retira dans la montagne, lui seul.

Lecture English	13 And for this reason we too give thanks to God unceasingly, that, in receiving the word of God from hearing us, you received not a human word but, as it truly is, the word of God, which is now at work in you who believe. 14 * For you, brothers, have become imitators of the churches of God that are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you suffer the same things from your compatriots as they did from the Jews, 15 * who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets and persecuted us; they do not please God, and are opposed to everyone,g 16 trying to prevent us from speaking to the Gentiles that they may be saved, thus constantly filling up the measure of their sins. But the wrath of God has finally begun to come upon them.h Paul’s Recent Travel Plans. 17 Brothers, when we were bereft of you for a short time, in person, not in heart, we were all the more eager in our great desire to see you in person.i 18 We decided to go to you—I, Paul, not only once but more than once—yet Satan thwarted us.j 19 For what is our hope or joy or crown to boast of in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming if not you yourselves?k 20 For you are our glory and joy.
Evangile English	1 a After this, Jesus went across the Sea of Galilee [of Tiberias].* 2 A large crowd followed him, because they saw the signs he was performing on the sick. 3 Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. 4 The Jewish feast of Passover was near.b 5 * When Jesus raised his eyes and saw that a large crowd was coming to him, he said to Philip,c “Where can we buy enough food for them to eat?” 6 * He said this to test him, because he himself knew what he was going to do. 7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred days’ wages* worth of food would not be enough for each of them to have a little [bit].”d 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, said to him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves* and two fish; but what good are these for so many?”e 10 Jesus said, “Have the people recline.” Now there was a great deal of grass* in that place. So the men reclined, about five thousand in number.f 11 Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to those who were reclining, and also as much of the fish as they wanted.g 12 When they had had their fill, he said to his disciples, “Gather the fragments left over, so that nothing will be wasted.” 13 So they collected them, and filled twelve wicker baskets* with fragments from the five barley loaves that had been more than they could eat. 14 When the people saw the sign he had done, they said, “This is truly the Prophet,* the one who is to come into the world.”h 15 Since Jesus knew that they were going to come and carry him off to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain alone.i
