Lecture Arabic	19 وأَرجُو في الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ أَنْ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيكُم طِيمُوتَاوُسَ عاجِلاً، لِتَطِيبَ نَفْسِي أَنَا أَيْضًا، مَتَى اطَّلَعْتُ على أَحْوالِكُم. 20 فَلَيْسَ لي أَحدٌ غَيْرُهُ يُعْنَى مِثْلِي بِأَحْوالِكُم عِنَايَةً صَادِقَة. 21 فإنَّ الـجَمِيعَ يَطْلُبُونَ ما هُوَ لأَنْفُسِهِم، لا مَا هُو لِيَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح. 22 فإِنَّكُم تَعْرِفُونَ خِبْرَتَهُ، لأَنَّهُ خَدَمَ معِي في سَبيلِ الإِنْجِيلِ كَالابْنِ معَ أَبِيه. 23 فَهُوَ الَّذي أَرْجُو أَنْ أُرْسِلَهُ إِلَيْكُم عاجِلاً، حِينَ أَرَى ما سَيَكُونُ مِن أَمْرِي. 24 وأَنا واثِقٌ بِالرَّبِّ أَنِّي أَنا أَيْضًا سَآتِيكُم عاجِلاً. 25 وقَد حَسِبْتُ مِنَ الضَّرُورِيِّ أَنْ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُم إِبَفْرُدِيطُسَ أَخِي ومُعَاوِنِي ورَفِيقِي في الـجِهَاد، ورَسُولَكُم لِيَخْدُمَنِي في حَاجَتِي. 26 فإِنَّهُ كانَ مُتَشَوِّقًا إِلَيْكُم جَمِيعًا، ومُغْتَمًّا لأَنَّكُم سَمِعْتُم بِمَرَضِهِ. 27 فقد مَرِضَ حتَّى الـمَوت، لـكِنَّ اللهَ ترأَّفَ بِهِ، لا بِهِ وَحْدَهُ، بَل بِي أَنا أَيْضًا، لِئَلاَّ أَزْدَادَ حُزْنًا على حُزْن. 28 وسَأُرْسِلُهُ إِلَيْكُم عاجِلاً، حتَّى تَرَوهُ، فيَعُودَ الفَرَحُ إِلَيْكُم، ويَخِفَّ حُزْنِي. 29 فاسْتَقْبِلُوهُ إِذًا في الرَّبّ، بكُلِّ فَرَح، وعامِلُوا أَمْثَالَهُ بِالإِكْرَام. 30 فإِنَّهُ قَدْ أَشْرَفَ على الـمَوْتِ في سَبِيلِ العَمَلِ لِلمَسِيح، وقَد خَاطَرَ بِنَفْسِهِ، لِيُكَمِّلَ ما نَقَصَ مِنْ خِدْمَتِكُم لِي.
Evangile Arabic	24 ولَمَّا وَصَلُوا إِلى كَفَرْنَاحُومَ دَنَا جُبَاةُ الدِّرْهَمَيْنِ مِنْ بُطْرُس، وقَالُوا لَهُ: "أَلا يُؤَدِّي مُعَلِّمُكُم ضَرِيْبَةَ الدِّرْهَمَين؟". 25 قَالَ بُطرُس: "بَلى!". ومَا إِنْ دَخَلَ البَيْتَ حَتَّى بَادَرَهُ يَسُوعُ بِقَولِهِ: "مَا رَأْيُكَ، يَا سِمْعَان؟ مِمَّنْ يَأْخُذُ مُلُوكُ الأَرْضِ الـجِزْيَةَ أَوِ الضَّريبَة؟ أَمِنْ بَنِيهِم أَمْ مِنَ الغُرَبَاء؟". 26 قَالَ بُطْرُس: "مِنَ الغُرَبَاء". فقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوع: "فَالبَنُونَ إِذًا أَحْرَار! 27 ولـكِنْ لِئَلاَّ نُشَكِّكَهُم، إِذْهَبْ إِلى البُحَيْرَة، وأَلْقِ الصِّنَّارَة، وأَوَّلُ سَمَكةٍ تَطْلُعُ أَمْسِكْهَا، وافْتَحْ فَاهَا تَجِدْ أَرْبَعَةَ درَاهِم، فَخُذْهَا، وأَدِّهَا عَنِّي وعَنْكَ".

Lecture French	19 Dans le Seigneur Jésus, j’ai l’espoir de vous envoyer bientôt Timothée, pour que j’aie, moi aussi, la satisfaction de recevoir de vos nouvelles. 20 Je n’ai en effet personne d’autre qui partage véritablement avec moi le souci de ce qui vous concerne. 21 Car tous les autres se préoccupent de leurs propres affaires, non pas de celles de Jésus Christ. 22 Mais lui, vous savez que sa valeur est éprouvée : comme un fils avec son père, il s’est mis avec moi au service de l’Évangile. 23 J’espère donc vous l’envoyer dès que je verrai clair sur ma situation. 24 J’ai d’ailleurs confiance dans le Seigneur que je viendrai moi-même bientôt. 25 J’ai aussi jugé nécessaire de vous envoyer Épaphrodite, mon frère, mon compagnon de travail et de combat. Il était votre envoyé, pour me rendre les services dont j’avais besoin, 26 mais il avait un grand désir de vous revoir tous, et il se tourmentait parce que vous aviez appris sa maladie. 27 Car il a été malade, et bien près de la mort, mais Dieu a eu pitié de lui, et pas seulement de lui, mais aussi de moi, en m’évitant d’avoir tristesse sur tristesse. 28 Je m’empresse donc de vous le renvoyer : ainsi vous retrouverez votre joie en le voyant, et moi je serai moins triste. 29 Dans le Seigneur, faites-lui donc un accueil vraiment joyeux, et tenez de telles personnes en grande estime : 30 c’est pour l’œuvre du Christ qu’il a failli mourir ; il a risqué sa vie pour accomplir, à votre place, les services que vous ne pouviez me rendre vous-mêmes.
Evangile French	24 Comme ils arrivaient à Capharnaüm, ceux qui perçoivent la redevance des deux drachmes pour le Temple vinrent trouver Pierre et lui dirent : « Votre maître paye bien les deux drachmes, n’est-ce pas ? » 25 Il répondit : « Oui. » Quand Pierre entra dans la maison, Jésus prit la parole le premier : « Simon, quel est ton avis ? Les rois de la terre, de qui perçoivent-ils les taxes ou l’impôt ? De leurs fils, ou des autres personnes ? » 26 Pierre lui répondit : « Des autres. » Et Jésus reprit : « Donc, les fils sont libres. 27 Mais, pour ne pas scandaliser les gens, va donc jusqu’à la mer, jette l’hameçon, et saisis le premier poisson qui mordra ; ouvre-lui la bouche, et tu y trouveras une pièce de quatre drachmes. Prends-la, tu la donneras pour moi et pour toi. »

Lecture English	19 I hope, in the Lord Jesus, to send Timothy* to you soon, so that I too may be heartened by hearing news of you.q 20 For I have no one comparable to him for genuine interest in whatever concerns you. 21 For they all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.r 22 But you know his worth, how as a child with a father he served along with me in the cause of the gospel. 23 He it is, then, whom I hope to send as soon as I see how things go with me, 24 but I am confident in the Lord that I myself will also come soon.* Epaphroditus. 25 With regard to Epaphroditus,* my brother and co-worker and fellow soldier, your messenger and minister in my need, I consider it necessary to send him to you.s 26 For he has been longing for all of you and was distressed because you heard that he was ill. 27 He was indeed ill, close to death; but God had mercy on him, not just on him but also on me, so that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow. 28 I send him therefore with the greater eagerness, so that, on seeing him, you may rejoice again, and I may have less anxiety. 29 Welcome him then in the Lord with all joy and hold such people in esteem,t 30 because for the sake of the work of Christ he came close to death, risking his life to make up for those services to me that you could not perform.
Evangile English	24 l When they came to Capernaum, the collectors of the temple tax* approached Peter and said, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?” 25 “Yes,” he said.* When he came into the house, before he had time to speak, Jesus asked him, “What is your opinion, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take tolls or census tax? From their subjects or from foreigners?” 26 * When he said, “From foreigners,” Jesus said to him, “Then the subjects are exempt. 27 But that we may not offend them,* go to the sea, drop in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up. Open its mouth and you will find a coin worth twice the temple tax. Give that to them for me and for you.”
