Lecture Arabic	12 أُرِيدُ أَنْ تَعْلَمُوا، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، أَنَّ مَا حَدَثَ لي قَد أَدَّى بِالـحَرِيِّ إِلى نَجَاحِ الإِنْجِيل، 13 حتَّى إِنَّ قُيُودِي مِن أَجْلِ الـمَسِيحِ صَارَتْ مَشْهُورَةً في دَارِ الوِلايَةِ كُلِّهَا، وفي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ آخَر. 14 وإِنَّ أَكْثَرَ الإِخْوَةِ قَدْ وَثِقُوا بالرَّبِّ مِن خِلالِ قُيُودِي، فَازْدَادُوا جُرْأَةً على النُّطْقِ بِكَلِمَةِ اللهِ بِغَيْرِ خَوْف. 15 فَالبَعْضُ يُبَشِّرُونَ بِالـمَسيحِ عَن حَسَدٍ وخِصَام، والبَعضُ بنِيَّةٍ طَيِّبَة. 16 هـؤُلاءِ يُبَشِّرُونَ بِمَحَبَّة، عَالِمِينَ أَنِّي أُقِمْتُ لِلدِّفَاعِ عَنِ الإِنْجِيل، 17 وأُولـئِكَ يُبَشِّرُونَ بِالـمَسيحِ عَنْ خِصَامٍ وبِغَيرِ إِخْلاص، وهُم يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم يَزِيدُونَ قُيُودِي ضِيقًا. 18 فمَا هَمَّنِي؟ حَسْبِي أَنَّ الـمَسِيحَ يُبَشَّرُ بِهِ، في كُلِّ حَال، بِغَرَضٍ كانَ أَمْ بِحَقّ: وبِهـذَا أَنا أَفْرَح، وسَأَفْرَحُ أَيْضًا. 19 فأَنَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ ذ,لِكَ يَؤُولُ إِلى خَلاصِي، بِفَضْلِ صَلاتِكُم ومَعُونَةِ رُوحِ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح. 20 وإِنِّي أَنْتَظِرُ وأَرْجُو أَنْ لا أَخْزَى في شَيء، بَلْ أَنْ أَتَصَرَّفَ بِكُلِّ جُرْأَة، الآنَ كمَا في كُلِّ حِين، لِكَي يُعَظَّمَ الـمَسِيحُ في جَسَدِي بِالـحَيَاةِ أَو بِالـمَوت.
Evangile Arabic	35 في الغَدِ أَيْضًا كَانَ يُوحَنَّا وَاقِفًا هُوَ واثْنَانِ مِنْ تَلاميذِهِ. 36 ورَأَى يَسُوعَ مَارًّا فَحَدَّقَ إِليهِ وقَال: "هَا هُوَ حَمَلُ الله". 37 وسَمِعَ التِّلْمِيذَانِ كَلامَهُ، فَتَبِعَا يَسُوع. 38 والتَفَتَ يَسُوع، فرَآهُمَا يَتْبَعَانِهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُمَا: "مَاذَا تَطْلُبَان؟" قَالا لَهُ: "رَابِّي، أَي يَا مُعَلِّم، أَيْنَ تُقِيم؟". 39 قالَ لَهُمَا: " تَعَالَيَا وانْظُرَا". فَذَهَبَا ونَظَرَا أَيْنَ يُقِيم. وأَقَامَا عِنْدَهُ ذـلِكَ اليَوم، وكَانَتِ السَّاعَةُ نَحْوَ الرَّابِعَةِ بَعْدَ الظُّهر. 40 وكَانَ أَنْدرَاوُسُ أَخُو سِمْعَانَ بُطْرُسَ أَحَدَ التِّلمِيذَيْن، اللَّذَيْنِ سَمِعَا كَلامَ يُوحَنَّا وتَبِعَا يَسُوع. 41 ولَقِيَ أَوَّلاً أَخَاهُ سِمْعَان، فَقَالَ لَهُ: "وَجَدْنَا مَشيحَا، أَيِ الـمَسِيح". 42 وجَاءَ بِهِ إِلى يَسُوع، فَحَدَّقَ يَسُوعُ إِليهِ وقَال: "أَنْتَ هُوَ سِمْعَانُ بْنُ يُونا، أَنتَ سَتُدعى كيفا، أَي بُطرُسَ الصَّخْرَة".

Lecture French	12 Je veux que vous le sachiez, frères : ce qui m’arrive a plutôt fait progresser l’annonce de l’Évangile ; 13 ainsi donc, dans tout le prétoire et partout ailleurs, mes chaînes manifestent mon attachement au Christ, 14 et la plupart des frères, chez qui mes chaînes suscitent une ferme confiance dans le Seigneur, trouvent une audace nouvelle pour dire sans crainte la Parole. 15 Les uns proclament le Christ en esprit de jalousie et de rivalité ; d’autres le font avec une intention bienveillante. 16 Ceux-ci annoncent le Christ par amour, sachant que je suis ici pour défendre l’Évangile ; 17 ceux-là le font en intrigants, sans intention pure, pensant aviver ainsi l’épreuve de mes chaînes. 18 Qu’importe ! De toute façon, que ce soit avec des arrière-pensées ou avec sincérité, le Christ est annoncé, et de cela je me réjouis. Bien plus, je me réjouirai encore, 19 car je sais que cela tournera à mon salut, grâce à votre prière et à l’assistance de l’Esprit de Jésus Christ. 20 C’est ce que j’attends avec impatience, et c’est ce que j’espère. Je n’aurai à rougir de rien ; au contraire, je garderai toute mon assurance, maintenant comme toujours ; soit que je vive, soit que je meure, le Christ sera glorifié dans mon corps.
Evangile French	35 Le lendemain encore, Jean se trouvait là avec deux de ses disciples. 36 Posant son regard sur Jésus qui allait et venait, il dit : « Voici l’Agneau de Dieu. » 37 Les deux disciples entendirent ce qu’il disait, et ils suivirent Jésus. 38 Se retournant, Jésus vit qu’ils le suivaient, et leur dit : « Que cherchez-vous ? » Ils lui répondirent : « Rabbi – ce qui veut dire : Maître –, où demeures-tu ? » 39 Il leur dit : « Venez, et vous verrez. » Ils allèrent donc, ils virent où il demeurait, et ils restèrent auprès de lui ce jour-là. C’était vers la dixième heure (environ quatre heures de l’après-midi). 40 André, le frère de Simon-Pierre, était l’un des deux disciples qui avaient entendu la parole de Jean et qui avaient suivi Jésus. 41 Il trouve d’abord Simon, son propre frère, et lui dit : « Nous avons trouvé le Messie » – ce qui veut dire : Christ. 42 André amena son frère à Jésus. Jésus posa son regard sur lui et dit : « Tu es Simon, fils de Jean ; tu t’appelleras Kèphas » – ce qui veut dire : Pierre.

Lecture English	12 i I want you to know, brothers, that my situation has turned out rather to advance the gospel, 13 so that my imprisonment has become well known in Christ throughout the whole praetorium* and to all the rest,j 14 * and so that the majority of the brothers, having taken encouragement in the Lord from my imprisonment, dare more than ever to proclaim the word fearlessly. 15 Of course, some preach Christ from envy and rivalry, others from good will. 16 The latter act out of love, aware that I am here for the defense of the gospel; 17 the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not from pure motives, thinking that they will cause me trouble in my imprisonment. 18 What difference does it make, as long as in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed?k And in that I rejoice.* Indeed I shall continue to rejoice, 19 * for I know that this will result in deliverance for me* through your prayers and support from the Spirit of Jesus Christ.l 20 My eager expectation and hope is that I shall not be put to shame in any way, but that with all boldness, now as always, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.m
Evangile English	35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples, 36 and as he watched Jesus walk by, he said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.”* 37 The two disciples* heard what he said and followed Jesus. 38 Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which translated means Teacher), “where are you staying?” 39 He said to them, “Come, and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about four in the afternoon.* 40 Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus. 41 He first found his own brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah”* (which is translated Anointed).z 42 Then he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John;* you will be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter).a
