Lecture Arabic	12 ونَسْأَلُكُم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، أَنْ تُكْرِمُوا الَّذِينَ يَتْعَبُونَ بَيْنَكُم، ويَرْئِسُونَكُم في الرَّبّ، وَيَنْصَحُونَكُم، 13 وأَنْ تَحْتَرِمُوهُم بِمَحَبَّةٍ أَعْظَمَ احْتِرَام، كَرَامَةً لِعَمَلِهِم. كُونُوا مُسَالِمِينَ بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًا. 14 ونُنَاشِدُكُم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة: إِنْصَحُوا الـمُقْلِقِين، شَجِّعُوا الـخَائِفِين، أَسْنِدُوا الضُّعَفَاء، وتَأَنَّوا معَ الـجَمِيع. 15 إِحْذَرُوا أَنْ تُبَادِلُوا شَرًّا بِشَرّ، بَلِ اتَّبِعُوا الْخَيرَ دائِمًا بَعْضُكُم لِبَعْضٍ وَلِلْجَمِيع. 16 إِفْرَحُوا على الدَّوَام. 17 صَلُّوا بِغَيْرِ انْقِطَاع. 18 أُشْكُرُوا في كُلِّ شَيء. فَهـذِهِ مَشِيئَةُ اللهِ إِلَيْكُم في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوع. 19 لا تُطْفِئُوا الرُّوح. 20 لا تَحْتَقِرُوا النُّبُوءَات. 21 بَلِ امْتَحِنُوا كُلَّ شَيء، وتَمَسَّكُوا بِمَا هُوَ حَسَن. 22 إِمْتَنِعُوا عَنْ كُلِّ شِبْهِ شَرّ. 23 لِيُقَدِّسْكُم إِلـهُ السَّلامِ نَفْسُهُ تَقْدِيسًا تَامًّا، وَيَحْفَظْ رُوحَكُم ونَفْسَكُم وجَسَدَكُم حِفْظًا كَامِلاً، بِغَيرِ لَوْم، عِنْدَ مَجيءِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح! 24 أَمِينٌ هُوَ الَّذي دَعَاكُم، وهُوَ الَّذي سَيَعْمَل. 25 صَلُّوا أَيْضًا مِنْ أَجْلِنَا، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة. 26 سَلِّمُوا عَلى جَمِيعِ الإِخْوَةِ بِقُبْلَةٍ مُقَدَّسَة. 27 أَسْتَحْلِفُكُم بِالرَّبّ: فَلْتُقْرَأْ هـذِهِ الرِّسَالَةُ عَلى جَمِيعِ الإِخْوَة. 28 نِعْمَةُ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيحِ مَعَكُم! ‍‍
Evangile Arabic	22 وفي الـحَالِ أَلْزَمَ يَسُوعُ التَّلامِيْذَ أَنْ يَرْكَبُوا السَّفِيْنَةَ ويَسْبِقُوهُ إِلى الضَّفَّةِ الأُخْرَى، رَيْثَمَا يَصْرِفُ الـجُمُوع. 23 وبَعْدَمَا صَرَفَ الـجُمُوعَ صَعِدَ إِلى الـجَبَلِ مُنْفَرِدًا لِيُصَلِّي. ولَمَّا كَانَ الـمَسَاء، بَقِيَ يَسُوعُ وَحْدَهُ هُنَاك. 24 وكَانَتِ السَّفِيْنَةُ قَدْ أَصْبَحَتْ عَلى مَسَافَةِ غَلَوَاتٍ كَثِيْرَةٍ مِنَ اليَابِسَة، وكَانَتِ الأَمْوَاجُ تَلْطِمُهَا لأَنَّ الرِّيْحَ كَانَتْ مُخَالِفَةً لَهَا. 25 وفي آخِرِ اللَّيْل، جَاءَ يَسُوعُ إِلى تَلامِيْذِهِ مَاشِيًا عَلى البُحَيْرَة. 26 ورآهُ التَّلامِيْذُ مَاشِيًا عَلى البُحَيْرَةِ فَاضْطَرَبُوا وقَالُوا: "إِنَّهُ شَبَح!". ومِنْ خَوْفِهِم صَرَخُوا. 27 وفي الـحَالِ كَلَّمَهُم يَسُوعُ قَائِلاً: "ثِقُوا! أَنَا هُوَ، لا تَخَافُوا!". 28 فَأَجَابَهُ بُطْرُسُ وقَال: "يَا رَبّ، إِنْ كُنْتَ أَنْتَ هُوَ، فَمُرْنِي أَنْ آتِيَ إِلَيْكَ عَلى الـمِيَاه!". 29 فَقَال: "تَعَالَ!". ونَزَلَ بُطْرُسُ مِنَ السَّفِيْنَةِ فَمَشَى عَلى الـمِيَاه، وذَهَبَ نَحْوَ يسُوع. 30 ولَمَّا رَأَى الرِّيْحَ شَدِيْدَةً خَاف، وبَدَأَ يَغْرَق، فَصَرَخ قائِلاً: "يَا رَبّ، نَجِّنِي!". 31 وفي الـحَالِ مَدَّ يَسُوعُ يَدَهُ فَأَمْسَكَهُ وقَالَ لَهُ: "يَا قَلِيْلَ الإِيْمَان، لِمَاذَا شَكَكْت؟". 32 ولَمَّا صَعِدَ يَسُوعُ وبُطْرُسُ إِلى السَّفِيْنَةِ سَكَنَتِ الرِّيْح. 33 فَسَجَدَ الَّذينَ هُمْ في السَّفِيْنَةِ لِيَسُوعَ وقَالُوا: "حَقًّا أَنْتَ ابْنُ الله!".

Lecture French	12 Nous vous demandons, frères, de reconnaître ceux qui se donnent de la peine parmi vous, ceux qui, dans le Seigneur, vous dirigent et vous donnent des avertissements ; 13 estimez-les infiniment avec amour en raison de leur travail. Vivez en paix entre vous. 14 Nous vous en prions, frères : avertissez ceux qui vivent de façon désordonnée, donnez du courage à ceux qui en ont peu, soutenez les faibles, soyez patients envers tous. 15 Prenez garde que personne ne rende le mal pour le mal, mais recherchez toujours ce qui est bien, entre vous et avec tous. 16 Soyez toujours dans la joie, 17 priez sans relâche, 18 rendez grâce en toute circonstance : c’est la volonté de Dieu à votre égard dans le Christ Jésus. 19 N’éteignez pas l’Esprit, 20 ne méprisez pas les prophéties, 21 mais discernez la valeur de toute chose : ce qui est bien, gardez-le ; 22 éloignez-vous de toute espèce de mal. 23 Que le Dieu de la paix lui-même vous sanctifie tout entiers ; que votre esprit, votre âme et votre corps, soient tout entiers gardés sans reproche pour la venue de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ. 24 Il est fidèle, Celui qui vous appelle : tout cela, il le fera. 25 Frères, priez aussi pour nous. 26 Saluez tous les frères par un baiser de paix. 27 Je vous en conjure au nom du Seigneur : que cette lettre soit lue à tous les frères. 28 La grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec vous.
Evangile French	22 Aussitôt Jésus obligea les disciples à monter dans la barque et à le précéder sur l’autre rive, pendant qu’il renverrait les foules. 23 Quand il les eut renvoyées, il gravit la montagne, à l’écart, pour prier. Le soir venu, il était là, seul. 24 La barque était déjà à une bonne distance de la terre, elle était battue par les vagues, car le vent était contraire. 25 Vers la fin de la nuit, Jésus vint vers eux en marchant sur la mer. 26 En le voyant marcher sur la mer, les disciples furent bouleversés. Ils dirent : « C’est un fantôme. » Pris de peur, ils se mirent à crier. 27 Mais aussitôt Jésus leur parla : « Confiance ! c’est moi ; n’ayez plus peur ! » 28 Pierre prit alors la parole : « Seigneur, si c’est bien toi, ordonne-moi de venir vers toi sur les eaux. » 29 Jésus lui dit : « Viens ! » Pierre descendit de la barque et marcha sur les eaux pour aller vers Jésus. 30 Mais, voyant la force du vent, il eut peur et, comme il commençait à enfoncer, il cria : « Seigneur, sauve-moi ! » 31 Aussitôt, Jésus étendit la main, le saisit et lui dit : « Homme de peu de foi, pourquoi as-tu douté ? » 32 Et quand ils furent montés dans la barque, le vent tomba. 33 Alors ceux qui étaient dans la barque se prosternèrent devant lui, et ils lui dirent : « Vraiment, tu es le Fils de Dieu ! »

Lecture English	12 We ask you, brothers, to respect those who are laboring among you and who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you, 13 and to show esteem for them with special love on account of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. 14 We urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, cheer the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with all. 15 See that no one returns evil for evil; rather, always seek what is good [both] for each other and for all.g 16 Rejoice always. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.h 19 * Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 Test everything; retain what is good. 22 Refrain from every kind of evil. Concluding Prayer. 23 * May the God of peace himself make you perfectly holy and may you entirely, spirit, soul, and body, be preserved blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.i 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will also accomplish it. 25 Brothers, pray for us [too]. 26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.* 27 I adjure you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the brothers. 28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Evangile English	22 h Then he made the disciples get into the boat and precede him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23 i After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When it was evening he was there alone. 24 Meanwhile the boat, already a few miles offshore, was being tossed about by the waves, for the wind was against it. 25 During the fourth watch of the night,* he came toward them, walking on the sea. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were terrified. “It is a ghost,” they said, and they cried out in fear. 27 At once [Jesus] spoke to them, “Take courage, it is I;* do not be afraid.” 28 Peter said to him in reply, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus. 30 j But when he saw how [strong] the wind was he became frightened; and, beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith,* why did you doubt?” 32 After they got into the boat, the wind died down. 33 * k Those who were in the boat did him homage, saying, “Truly, you are the Son of God.”
