Lecture Arabic	1 وفي تَمَامِ اليَوْمِ الـخَمْسِين، كَانُوا كُلُّهُم مَعًا في مَكَانٍ وَاحِد. 2 فَحَدَثَ بَغْتَةً دَوِيٌّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ كَأَنَّهُ دَوِيُّ رِيحٍ عَاصِفَة، ومَلأَ كُلَّ البَيْتِ حَيثُ كانُوا جَالِسين. 3 وظَهَرَتْ لَهُم أَلْسِنَةٌ مُنْقَسِمَةٌ كَأَنَّهَا مِنْ نَار، واسْتَقَرَّ عَلى كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُم لِسَان. 4 وامْتَلأُوا كُلُّهُم مِنَ الرُّوحِ القُدُس، وبَدَأُوا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِأَلْسِنَةٍ أُخْرَى، كَمَا كَانَ الرُّوحُ يُؤْتِيهِم أَنْ يَنْطِقُوا. 5 وكَانَ يُقيمُ في أُورَشَلِيمَ يَهُود، رِجَالٌ أَتْقِيَاءُ مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ تَحْتَ السَّمَاء. 6 فَلَمَّا حَدَثَ ذـلِكَ الصَّوت، احْتَشَدَ الـجَمْعُ وأَخَذَتْهُمُ الـحَيْرَة، لأَنَّ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُم كَانَ يَسْمَعُهُم يَتَكَلَّمُونَ بلُغَتِهِ. 7 فَدَهِشُوا وتَعَجَّبُوا وقَالُوا: "أَلَيْسَ هـؤُلاءِ الـمُتَكَلِّمُونَ جَمِيعُهُم جَلِيلِيِّين؟ 8 فَكَيْفَ يَسْمَعُهُم كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنَّا بِـاللُّغَةِ الَّتِي وُلِدَ فِيهَا؟ 9 ونَحْنُ فَرْتِيُّون، ومَادِيُّون، وعَيْلامِيُّون، وسُكَّانُ مَا بَينَ النَّهْرَيْن، واليَهُودِيَّة، وكَبَّدُوكِيَة، وبُنْطُس، وآسِيَا، 10 وفِرِيْجِيَة، وبَمْفِيلِيَة، ومِصْر، ونَوَاحِي لِيبيَةَ القَريبَةِ مِنْ قَيْرَوَان، ورُومَانِيُّونَ نُزَلاء، 11 يَهُودٌ ومُهْتَدُون، وكْرِيتِيُّون، وعَرَب، نَسْمَعُهُم يَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِنَا عَنْ أَعْمَالِ اللهِ العَظِيمَة". 12 وكَانُوا كُلُّهُم مَدْهُوشِينَ حَائِرينَ يَقُولُ بَعْضُهُم لِبَعْض: "مَا مَعْنَى هـذَا؟". 13 لـكِنَّ آخَرِينَ كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ سَاخِرين: "إِنَّهُم قَدِ امْتَلأُوا سُلافَة!". 14 فَوَقَفَ بُطْرُسُ مَعَ الأَحَدَ عَشَر، ورَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ وخَاطَبَهُم قَائِلاً: "أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ اليَهُود، ويَا جَمِيعَ الـمُقِيمِينَ في أُورَشَلِيم، لِيَكُنْ هـذَا مَعْلُومًا عِنْدَكُم، وأَصْغُوا إِلى كَلامِي. 15 لا، لَيْسَ هـؤُلاءِ بِسُكَارَى، كَمَا تَظُنُّون. فَـالسَّاعَةُ هِيَ التَّاسِعَةُ صَبَاحًا. 16 بَلْ هـذَا هُوَ مَا قِيلَ بِيُوئِيلَ النَّبِيّ: 17 ويَكُونُ في الأَيَّامِ الأَخِيرَة، يَقُولُ الله، أَنِّي أُفِيضُ مِنْ رُوحِي عَلى كُلِّ بَشَر، فَيَتَنَبَّأُ بَنُوكُم وبَنَاتُكُم، ويَرَى شُبَّانُكُم رُؤًى، ويَحْلُمُ شُيُوخُكُم أَحْلامًا. 18 وعَلى عَبِيدي وإِمَائِي أَيْضًا أُفِيضُ مِنْ رُوحِي في تِلْكَ الأَيَّامِ فيَتَنبَّأُون. 19 وأَعْمَلُ عَجَائِبَ في السَّمَاءِ مِنْ فَوْق، وآيَاتٍ عَلى الأَرْضِ مِنْ أَسْفَل، دَمًا ونَارًا وأَعْمِدَةً مِنْ دُخَان. 20 وتَنْقَلِبُ الشَّمْسُ ظَلامًا والقَمَرُ دَمًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمُ الرَّبّ، اليَوْمُ العَظِيمُ الـمَجِيد. 21 فَيَكُونُ أَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يَدْعُو بِـاسْمِ الرَّبِّ يَخْلُص.
Evangile Arabic	15 إِنْ تُحِبُّونِي تَحْفَظُوا وَصَايَاي. 16 وأَنَا أَسْأَلُ الآبَ فَيُعْطِيكُم بَرَقلِيطًا آخَرَ مُؤَيِّدًا يَكُونُ مَعَكُم إِلى الأَبَد. 17 هُوَ رُوحُ الـحَقِّ الَّذي لا يَقْدِرُ العَالَمُ أَنْ يَقْبَلَهُ، لأَنَّهُ لا يَرَاه، ولا يَعْرِفُهُ. أَمَّا أَنْتُم فَتَعْرِفُونَهُ، لأَنَّهُ مُقيمٌ عِنْدَكُم، وهُوَ فِيكُم. 18 لَنْ أَتْرُكَكُم يَتَامَى. إِنِّي آتِي إِلَيْكُم. 19 عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَنْ يَرانِيَ العَالَم، أَمَّا أَنْتُم فَتَرَونَنِي، لأَنِّي أَنَا حَيٌّ وأَنْتُم سَتَحْيَون. 20 في ذـلِكَ اليَومِ تَعْرِفُونَ أَنِّي أَنَا في أَبِي، وأَنْتُم فِيَّ، وأَنَا فيكُم.

Lecture French	01 Quand arriva le jour de la Pentecôte, au terme des cinquante jours, ils se trouvaient réunis tous ensemble. 02 Soudain un bruit survint du ciel comme un violent coup de vent : la maison où ils étaient assis en fut remplie tout entière. 03 Alors leur apparurent des langues qu’on aurait dites de feu, qui se partageaient, et il s’en posa une sur chacun d’eux. 04 Tous furent remplis d’Esprit Saint : ils se mirent à parler en d’autres langues, et chacun s’exprimait selon le don de l’Esprit. 05 Or, il y avait, résidant à Jérusalem, des Juifs religieux, venant de toutes les nations sous le ciel. 06 Lorsque ceux-ci entendirent la voix qui retentissait, ils se rassemblèrent en foule. Ils étaient en pleine confusion parce que chacun d’eux entendait dans son propre dialecte ceux qui parlaient. 07 Dans la stupéfaction et l’émerveillement, ils disaient : « Ces gens qui parlent ne sont-ils pas tous Galiléens ? 08 Comment se fait-il que chacun de nous les entende dans son propre dialecte, sa langue maternelle ? 09 Parthes, Mèdes et Élamites, habitants de la Mésopotamie, de la Judée et de la Cappadoce, de la province du Pont et de celle d’Asie, 10 de la Phrygie et de la Pamphylie, de l’Égypte et des contrées de Libye proches de Cyrène, Romains de passage, 11 Juifs de naissance et convertis, Crétois et Arabes, tous nous les entendons parler dans nos langues des merveilles de Dieu. » 12 Ils étaient tous dans la stupéfaction et la perplexité, se disant l’un à l’autre : « Qu’est-ce que cela signifie ? » 13 D’autres se moquaient et disaient : « Ils sont pleins de vin doux ! » 14 Alors Pierre, debout avec les onze autres Apôtres, éleva la voix et leur fit cette déclaration : « Vous, Juifs, et vous tous qui résidez à Jérusalem, sachez bien ceci, prêtez l’oreille à mes paroles. 15 Non, ces gens-là ne sont pas ivres comme vous le supposez, car c’est seulement la troisième heure du jour. 16 Mais ce qui arrive a été annoncé par le prophète Joël : 17 Il arrivera dans les derniers jours, dit Dieu, que je répandrai mon Esprit sur toute créature : vos fils et vos filles prophétiseront, vos jeunes gens auront des visions, et vos anciens auront des songes. 18 Même sur mes serviteurs et sur mes servantes, je répandrai mon Esprit en ces jours-là, et ils prophétiseront. 19 Je ferai des prodiges en haut dans le ciel, et des signes en bas sur la terre : du sang, du feu, un nuage de fumée. 20 Le soleil sera changé en ténèbres, et la lune sera changée en sang, avant que vienne le jour du Seigneur, jour grand et manifeste. 21 Alors, quiconque invoquera le nom du Seigneur sera sauvé.
Evangile French	15 Si vous m’aimez, vous garderez mes commandements. 16 Moi, je prierai le Père, et il vous donnera un autre Défenseur qui sera pour toujours avec vous : 17 l’Esprit de vérité, lui que le monde ne peut recevoir, car il ne le voit pas et ne le connaît pas ; vous, vous le connaissez, car il demeure auprès de vous, et il sera en vous. 18 Je ne vous laisserai pas orphelins, je reviens vers vous. 19 D’ici peu de temps, le monde ne me verra plus, mais vous, vous me verrez vivant, et vous vivrez aussi. 20 En ce jour-là, vous reconnaîtrez que je suis en mon Père, que vous êtes en moi, et moi en vous.

Lecture English	1 * When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together.a 2 And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind,* and it filled the entire house in which they were.b 3 Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire,* which parted and came to rest on each one of them.c 4 And they were all filled with the holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues,* as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.d 5 Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem. 6 At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd, but they were confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language. 7 They were astounded, and in amazement they asked, “Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans?e 8 Then how does each of us hear them in his own native language? 9 We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene, as well as travelers from Rome, 11 both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of God.”f 12 They were all astounded and bewildered, and said to one another, “What does this mean?” 13 But others said, scoffing, “They have had too much new wine.”g Peter’s Speech at Pentecost. 14 * Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them, “You who are Jews, indeed all of you staying in Jerusalem. Let this be known to you, and listen to my words. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only nine o’clock in the morning. 16 No, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel: 17 ‘It will come to pass in the last days,’ God says, ‘that I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.h 18 Indeed, upon my servants and my handmaids I will pour out a portion of my spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy. 19 And I will work wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below: blood, fire, and a cloud of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and splendid day of the Lord, 21 and it shall be that everyone shall be saved who calls on the name of the Lord.’i
Evangile English	15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.j 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate* to be with you always,k 17 the Spirit of truth,* which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it. But you know it, because it remains with you, and will be in you.l 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.* 19 In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me, because I live and you will live.m 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father and you are in me and I in you.n
