Lecture Arabic	1 لَقَدْ دَّوَنْتُ في الكِتَابِ الأَوَّل، يَا تِيُوفِيل، كُلَّ مَا عَمِلَ يَسُوعُ وعَلَّم، مُنْذُ بَدْءِ رِسَالَتِهِ، 2 إِلى اليَوْمِ الَّذي رُفِعَ فِيهِ إِلى السَّمَاء، بَعْدَ أَنْ أَعْطَى بِـالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ وَصَايَاهُ لِلرُّسُلِ الَّذينَ اخْتَارَهُم. 3 وقَدْ أَظْهَرَ لَهُم نَفْسَهُ حَيًّا بَعْدَ آلامِهِ بِكَثِيرٍ مِنَ الأَدِلَّة، وهُوَ يَتَرَاءَى لَهُم مُدَّةَ أَرْبَعِينَ يَومًا، ويُكَلِّمُهُم عَنْ شُؤُونِ مَلَكُوتِ الله. 4 وفِيمَا هُوَ يَأْكُلُ مَعَهُم، أَمَرَهُم أَلاَّ يُغَادِرُوا أُورَشَلِيم، بَلْ أَنْ يَنْتَظِرُوا فيهَا وَعْدَ الآبِ "الَّذي سَمِعْتُمُوهُ مِنِّي؛ 5 لأَنَّ يُوحَنَّا عَمَّدَ بِـالـمَاء، أَمَّا أَنْتُم فَسَوفَ تُعَمَّدُونَ بِـالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ بَعْدَ بِضْعَةِ أَيَّام". 6 وكَانَ الـمُجْتَمِعُونَ يَسْأَلُونَهُ قَائِلين: "يَا رَبّ، أَفِي هـذَا الزَّمَانِ تُعِيدُ الـمُلْكَ لإِسْرَائِيل؟". 7 فَقَالَ لَهُم: "لَيْسَ لَكُم أَنْ تَعْرِفُوا الأَزْمِنَةَ والأَوْقَاتَ الَّتِي حَدَّدَهَا الآبُ بِسُلْطَانِهِ الـخَاصّ. 8 لـكِنَّكُم سَتَنَالُونَ قُوَّةً بِحُلُولِ الرُّوحِ القُدُسِ عَلَيْكُم، وتَكُونُونَ لِي شُهُودًا في أُورَشَلِيم، وفي كُلِّ اليَهُودِيَّةِ والسَّامِرَة، حَتَّى أَقَاصِي الأَرض". 9 ولَمَّا قَالَ هـذَا، رُفِعَ بِمَرأًى مِنْهُم، وحَجَبَتْهُ سَحَابَةٌ عَنْ عُيُونِهِم. 10 وفيمَا كَانُوا شَاخِصِينَ إِلى السَّمَاء، وهُوَ ذَاهِب، إِذَا رَجُلانِ قَدْ وقَفَا بِهِم في ثِيَابٍ بَيْضَاء، 11 وقَالا: "أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ الـجَلِيلِيُّون، مَا بَالُكُم واقِفِينَ تُحَدِّقُونَ إِلى السَّمَاء؟ إِنِّ يَسُوعَ هـذَا الَّذي رُفِعَ عَنْكُم إِلى السَّمَاءِ سَيَأْتي كَمَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ ذَاهِبًا إِلى السَّمَاء!". 12 حِينَئِذٍ رَجَعُوا إِلى أُورَشَليمَ مِنَ الـجَبَلِ الـمَدْعُوِّ جَبَلَ الزَّيْتُون، وهُوَ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ أُورَشَلِيم، على مَسِيرَةِ سَبْتٍ مِنهَا. 13 ولَمَّا دَخَلُوا الـمَدينَة، صَعِدُوا إِلى العِلِّيَّة، الَّتِي كَانُوا يُقِيمُونَ فِيهَا، وهُم: بُطْرُسُ ويُوحَنَّا ويَعْقُوبُ وأَنْدرَاوُس، فِيلبُّسُ وتُومَا، بَرْتُلْمَاوُسُ ومَتَّى، يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حَلْفَى وسِمْعَانُ الغَيُورُ ويَهُوذَا بْنُ يَعْقُوب. 14 هـؤُلاءِ كُلُّهُم كَانُوا مُوَاظِبينَ عَلى الصَّلاةِ بِنَفْسٍ وَاحِدَة، مَعَ بَعْضِ النِّسَاء، ومَرْيَمَ أُمِّ يَسُوع، ومَعَ إِخْوَتِهِ.
Evangile Arabic	15 ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُم: "إِذْهَبُوا إِلى العَالَمِ كُلِّهِ، وَاكْرِزُوا بِالإِنْجِيلِ لِلْخَلِيقَةِ كُلِّها. 16 فَمَنْ آمَنَ وَاعْتَمَدَ يَخْلُص، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ فَسَوْفَ يُدَان. 17 وهـذِهِ الآيَاتُ تَتْبَعُ الْمُؤْمِنين: بِاسْمِي يُخْرِجُونَ الشَّيَاطِين، ويَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِلُغَاتٍ جَدِيدَة، 18 ويُمْسِكُونَ الْحَيَّات، وَإِنْ شَرِبُوا سُمًّا مُمِيتًا فَلا يُؤْذِيهِم، ويَضَعُونَ أَيْدِيَهُم عَلى الـمَرْضَى فَيَتَعَافَوْن". 19 وبَعْدَمَا كَلَّمَهُمُ الرَّبُّ يَسُوع، رُفِعَ إِلى السَّمَاء، وجَلَسَ عَنْ يَمِينِ الله. 20 أَمَّا هُم فَخَرَجُوا وَكَرَزُوا في كُلِّ مَكَان، والرَّبُّ يَعْمَلُ مَعَهُم وَيُؤَيِّدُ الكَلِمَةَ بِمَا يَصْحَبُها مِنَ الآيَات.

Lecture French	01 CHER THEOPHILE, dans mon premier livre, j’ai parlé de tout ce que Jésus a fait et enseigné, depuis le moment où il commença, 02 jusqu’au jour où il fut enlevé au ciel, après avoir, par l’Esprit Saint, donné ses instructions aux Apôtres qu’il avait choisis. 03 C’est à eux qu’il s’est présenté vivant après sa Passion ; il leur en a donné bien des preuves, puisque, pendant quarante jours, il leur est apparu et leur a parlé du royaume de Dieu. 04 Au cours d’un repas qu’il prenait avec eux, il leur donna l’ordre de ne pas quitter Jérusalem, mais d’y attendre que s’accomplisse la promesse du Père. Il déclara : « Cette promesse, vous l’avez entendue de ma bouche : 05 alors que Jean a baptisé avec l’eau, vous, c’est dans l’Esprit Saint que vous serez baptisés d’ici peu de jours. » 06 Ainsi réunis, les Apôtres l’interrogeaient : « Seigneur, est-ce maintenant le temps où tu vas rétablir le royaume pour Israël ? » 07 Jésus leur répondit : « Il ne vous appartient pas de connaître les temps et les moments que le Père a fixés de sa propre autorité. 08 Mais vous allez recevoir une force quand le Saint-Esprit viendra sur vous ; vous serez alors mes témoins à Jérusalem, dans toute la Judée et la Samarie, et jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre. » 09 Après ces paroles, tandis que les Apôtres le regardaient, il s’éleva, et une nuée vint le soustraire à leurs yeux. 10 Et comme ils fixaient encore le ciel où Jésus s’en allait, voici que, devant eux, se tenaient deux hommes en vêtements blancs, 11 qui leur dirent : « Galiléens, pourquoi restez-vous là à regarder vers le ciel ? Ce Jésus qui a été enlevé au ciel d’auprès de vous, viendra de la même manière que vous l’avez vu s’en aller vers le ciel. » 12 Alors, ils retournèrent à Jérusalem depuis le lieu-dit « mont des Oliviers » qui en est proche, – la distance de marche ne dépasse pas ce qui est permis le jour du sabbat. 13 À leur arrivée, ils montèrent dans la chambre haute où ils se tenaient habituellement ; c’était Pierre, Jean, Jacques et André, Philippe et Thomas, Barthélemy et Matthieu, Jacques fils d’Alphée, Simon le Zélote, et Jude fils de Jacques. 14 Tous, d’un même cœur, étaient assidus à la prière, avec des femmes, avec Marie la mère de Jésus, et avec ses frères.
Evangile French	15 Puis il leur dit : « Allez dans le monde entier. Proclamez l’Évangile à toute la création. 16 Celui qui croira et sera baptisé sera sauvé ; celui qui refusera de croire sera condamné. 17 Voici les signes qui accompagneront ceux qui deviendront croyants : en mon nom, ils expulseront les démons ; ils parleront en langues nouvelles ; 18 ils prendront des serpents dans leurs mains et, s’ils boivent un poison mortel, il ne leur fera pas de mal ; ils imposeront les mains aux malades, et les malades s’en trouveront bien. » 19 Le Seigneur Jésus, après leur avoir parlé, fut enlevé au ciel et s’assit à la droite de Dieu. 20 Quant à eux, ils s’en allèrent proclamer partout l’Évangile. Le Seigneur travaillait avec eux et confirmait la Parole par les signes qui l’accompagnaient.

Lecture English	1 In the first book,a Theophilus, I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught 2 until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.b 3 He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he had suffered, appearing to them during forty days* and speaking about the kingdom of God.c 4 While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for “the promise of the Father* about which you have heard me speak;d 5 for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the holy Spirit.”e The Ascension of Jesus. 6 When they had gathered together they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going* to restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 * He answered them,f “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. 8 * But you will receive power when the holy Spirit comes upon you,g and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” 9 When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.h 10 While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them.i 11 They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”j 12 k Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath day’s journey away. The First Community in Jerusalem. 13 When they entered the city they went to the upper room where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. 14 All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.l
Evangile English	15 i He said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. 18 They will pick up serpents [with their hands], and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”j The Ascension of Jesus. 19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them, was taken up into heaven and took his seat at the right hand of God.k 20 But they went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through accompanying signs.]l
