Lecture Arabic	13 أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، أَنَا لا أَظُنُّ أَنِّي أَدْرَكْتُ، ولـكِنْ يَهُمُّنِي أَمْرٌ وَاحِد، وهُوَ أَنْ أَنْسَى ما ورَائِي، وأَمْتَدَّ إِلى ما أَمَامِي. 14 فأَسْعَى إِلى الـهَدَفِ لأَفُوزَ بالـجَائِزَةِ العُلْيَا الَّتي يَدْعُونَا اللهُ إِلَيْهَا في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوع. 15 فَلْنَكُنْ إِذًا جَمِيعُنَا، نَحْنُ الكامِلِين، على هـذَا الرَّأْي، وإِنْ كانَ لَكُم رَأْيٌ آخَر، فَاللهُ سيُظْهِرُ لَكُم ذـلِكَ أَيْضًا. 16 ومعَ ذـلِكَ عَلَيْنَا أَنْ نُواصِلَ مِنْ حَيْثُ بَلَغْنَا. 17 إِقْتَدُوا بِي، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، وانْظُرُوا إِلى الَّذِينَ يَسْلُكُونَ على مِثَالِنَا. 18 فَكَثِيرٌ مِنْ أُولـئِكَ الَّذِينَ كُنْتُ أُكَلِّمُكُم عَنْهُم مِرَارًا، وأُكَلِّمُكُم عَنْهُمُ الآنَ باكِيًا، يَسْلُكُونَ كأَعْدَاءٍ لِصَلِيبِ الـمَسِيح، 19 أُولـئِكَ الَّذِينَ عَاقِبَتُهُمُ الـهَلاك، أُولـئِكَ الَّذينَ إِلـهُهُم بَطْنُهُم، ومَجْدُهُم في عَارِهِم، وفي أُمُورِ الأَرْضِ هُمُّهُم. 20 أَمَّا نَحْنُ فمَدِينَتُنَا في السَّمَاوَات، ومِنْهَا نَنْتَظِرُ الرَّبَّ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيحَ مُخَلِّصًا. 21 وهوَ سَيُغَيِّرُ جَسَدَ هَوَانِنَا، فيَجْعَلُهُ على صُورَةِ جَسَدِ مَجْدِهِ، وَفْقًا لِعَمَلِ قُدْرَتِهِ، الَّتي بِهَا يُخْضِعُ لِنَفْسِهِ كُلَّ شَيء.
Evangile Arabic	17 ولَمَّا وَصَلَ يَسُوعُ وجَدَ أَنَّ لَعَازَرَ قَدْ دُفِنَ مُنْذُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّام. 18 وكَانَتْ بَيْتَ عَنْيَا قَرِيبَةً نَحْوَ مِيلَينِ مِنْ أُورَشَلِيم. 19 وكَانَ كَثِيرٌ مِنَ اليَهُودِ قَدْ جَاؤُوا إِلى مَرْتَا ومَرْيَمَ لِيُعَزُّوهُمَا بِأَخِيهِمَا. 20 فَلَّمَا سَمِعَتْ مَرْتَا أَنَّ يَسُوعَ آتٍ، خَرَجَتْ لِمُلاقَاتِهِ. أَمَّا مَرْيَمُ فَبَقِيَتْ جَالِسَةً في البَيْت. 21 فَقَالَتْ مَرْتَا لِيَسُوع: "يَا رَبّ، لَوْ كُنْتَ هُنَا، لَمَا مَاتَ أَخِي. 22 ولـكِنِّي أَعْلَمُ الآنَ أَيْضًا أَنَّ كُلَّ مَا تَسْأَلُ الله، يُعْطِيكَ إِيَّاهُ الله!". 23 قَالَ لَهَا يَسُوع: "سَيَقُومُ أَخُوكِ!". 24 قَالَتْ لَهُ مَرْتَا: "أَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ سَيَقُومُ في القِيَامَة، في اليَوْمِ الأَخير". 25 قَالَ لَهَا يَسُوع: "أَنَا هُوَ القِيَامَةُ والـحَيَاة. مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِي، وإِنْ مَاتَ، فَسَيَحْيَا. 26 وكُلُّ مَنْ يَحْيَا ويُؤْمِنُ بِي فَلَنْ يَمُوتَ إِلى الأَبَد. أَتُؤْمِنينَ بِهـذَا؟". 27 قَالَتْ لَهُ: "نَعَم، يَا رَبّ، أَنَا أُؤْمِنُ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ الـمَسِيحُ ابْنُ الله، الآتِي إِلى العَالَم". 28 فَلَمَّا قَالَتْ هـذَا، مَضَتْ فَدَعَتْ أُخْتَهَا، وقَالَتْ لَهَا هَمْسًا: "أَلـمُعَلِّمُ هُنَا. وهُوَ يَدْعُوكِ!". 29 ومَا إِنْ سَمِعَتْ مَرْيَمُ حَتَّى قَامَتْ مُسْرِعَةً وجَاءَتْ إِلَيْه. 30 ولَمْ يَكُنْ يَسُوعُ قَدْ وَصَلَ بَعْدُ إِلى القَرْيَة، بَلْ كَانَ لا يَزَالُ حَيْثُ لاقَتْهُ مَرْتَا. 31 فَلَّمَا رَأَى اليَهُودُ، الَّذينَ كَانُوا في البَيْتِ مَعَ مَرْيَمَ يُعَزُّونَهَا، أَنَّهَا قَامَتْ مُسْرِعَةً وخَرَجَتْ، تَبِعُوهَا، ظَنًّا مِنْهُم أَنَّهَا ذَاهِبَةٌ إِلى القَبرِ لِتَبْكِيَ هُنَاك.

Lecture French	13 Frères, quant à moi, je ne pense pas avoir déjà saisi cela. Une seule chose compte : oubliant ce qui est en arrière, et lancé vers l’avant, 14 je cours vers le but en vue du prix auquel Dieu nous appelle là-haut dans le Christ Jésus. 15 Nous tous qui sommes adultes dans la foi, nous devons avoir ces dispositions-là ; et, si vous en avez d’autres, là-dessus encore Dieu vous éclairera. 16 En tout cas, du point où nous sommes arrivés, marchons dans la même direction. 17 Frères, ensemble imitez-moi, et regardez bien ceux qui se conduisent selon l’exemple que nous vous donnons. 18 Car je vous l’ai souvent dit, et maintenant je le redis en pleurant : beaucoup de gens se conduisent en ennemis de la croix du Christ. 19 Ils vont à leur perte. Leur dieu, c’est leur ventre, et ils mettent leur gloire dans ce qui fait leur honte ; ils ne pensent qu’aux choses de la terre. 20 Mais nous, nous avons notre citoyenneté dans les cieux, d’où nous attendons comme sauveur le Seigneur Jésus Christ, 21 lui qui transformera nos pauvres corps à l’image de son corps glorieux, avec la puissance active qui le rend même capable de tout mettre sous son pouvoir.
Evangile French	17 À son arrivée, Jésus trouva Lazare au tombeau depuis quatre jours déjà. 18 Comme Béthanie était tout près de Jérusalem – à une distance de quinze stades (c’est-à-dire une demi-heure de marche environ) –, 19 beaucoup de Juifs étaient venus réconforter Marthe et Marie au sujet de leur frère. 20 Lorsque Marthe apprit l’arrivée de Jésus, elle partit à sa rencontre, tandis que Marie restait assise à la maison. 21 Marthe dit à Jésus : « Seigneur, si tu avais été ici, mon frère ne serait pas mort. 22 Mais maintenant encore, je le sais, tout ce que tu demanderas à Dieu, Dieu te l’accordera. » 23 Jésus lui dit : « Ton frère ressuscitera. » 24 Marthe reprit : « Je sais qu’il ressuscitera à la résurrection, au dernier jour. » 25 Jésus lui dit : « Moi, je suis la résurrection et la vie. Celui qui croit en moi, même s’il meurt, vivra ; 26 quiconque vit et croit en moi ne mourra jamais. Crois-tu cela ? » 27 Elle répondit : « Oui, Seigneur, je le crois : tu es le Christ, le Fils de Dieu, tu es celui qui vient dans le monde. » 28 Ayant dit cela, elle partit appeler sa sœur Marie, et lui dit tout bas : « Le Maître est là, il t’appelle. » 29 Marie, dès qu’elle l’entendit, se leva rapidement et alla rejoindre Jésus. 30 Il n’était pas encore entré dans le village, mais il se trouvait toujours à l’endroit où Marthe l’avait rencontré. 31 Les Juifs qui étaient à la maison avec Marie et la réconfortaient, la voyant se lever et sortir si vite, la suivirent ; ils pensaient qu’elle allait au tombeau pour y pleurer.

Lecture English	13 Brothers, I for my part do not consider myself to have taken possession. Just one thing: forgetting what lies behind but straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I continue my pursuit toward the goal, the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus.l 15 Let us, then, who are “perfectly mature” adopt this attitude. And if you have a different attitude, this too God will reveal to you. 16 Only, with regard to what we have attained, continue on the same course.* Wrong Conduct and Our Goal.* 17 Join with others in being imitators of me,* brothers, and observe those who thus conduct themselves according to the model you have in us.m 18 For many, as I have often told you and now tell you even in tears, conduct themselves as enemies of the cross of Christ.n 19 Their end is destruction. Their God is their stomach; their glory is in their “shame.” Their minds are occupied with earthly things.o 20 But our citizenship* is in heaven, and from it we also await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.p 21 He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body by the power that enables him also to bring all things into subjection to himself.q
Evangile English	17 When Jesus arrived, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. 18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, only about two miles* away. 19 And many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them about their brother.h 20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him; but Mary sat at home. 21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.i 22 [But] even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise.” 24 Martha said to him, “I know he will rise, in the resurrection on the last day.”j 25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,k 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27 * l She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who is coming into the world.” 28 When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary secretly, saying, “The teacher is here and is asking for you.” 29 As soon as she heard this, she rose quickly and went to him. 30 For Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still where Martha had met him. 31 So when the Jews who were with her in the house comforting her saw Mary get up quickly and go out, they followed her, presuming that she was going to the tomb to weep there.
