Lecture Arabic	1 كذـلِك أَنْتُنَّ، أَيَّتُهَا النِّسَاء، إِخْضَعْنَ لأَزْوَاجِكُنَّ، حتَّى وإِنْ كَانَ بَعضُهُم لا يُطِيعُونَ كَلامَ الله، يُرْبَحُونَ، بِدُونِ كلام، بَفَضْلِ سِيرَةِ نِسَائِهِم، 2 وذـلِكَ عِنْدَما يُلاحِظُونَ مَا في سِيرَتِكُنَّ مِنْ عَفَافٍ واحْتِرَام. 3 لا تَكُنْ زِينَتُكُنَّ في الظَّاهِر، بِجَدْلِ الشَّعْر، والتَّحَلِّي بِالذَّهَب، أَو لِبْسِ الثِّيابِ الفَاخِرَة، 4 بَلْ في الإِنْسَانِ الـخَفِيِّ، في القَلْب، بِزِينَةِ الرُّوحِ الوَدِيعِ الـهَادِئ، الَّتي لا تَبْلى: ذَاكَ هُوَ الثَّمِينُ في نَظَرِ الله! 5 هـكذَا كَانَتْ تَتَزَيَّنُ قدِيـمًا النِّسَاءُ الرَّاجِياتُ للهَ، وهُنَّ خاضِعَاتٌ لأَزْوَاجِهِنَّ، 6 مِثْلَ سَارَةَ الَّتي أَطاعَتْ إِبرَاهِيمَ فَدَعَتْهُ سيِّدَهَا. وقَد صِرْتُنَّ لَـهَا بنَاتٍ يَعْمَلْنَ الـخَير، بِغَيرِ خَوفٍ ولا ارْتِيَاع. 7 كذـلِكَ أَنْتُم، أَيُّهَا الرِّجَال، سَاكِنُوا نِسَاءَكُم بتَفَهُّم، لأَنَّهُنَّ أَضْعَفُ مِنْكُم جَبْلَةً، وأَكْرِمُوهُنَّ لأَنَّهُنَّ وَارِثَاتٌ معَكُم نِعْمَةَ الـحَيَاة، لِئَلاَّ يُعِيقَ صَلَواتِكُم شَيء. 8 وأَخيرًا كُونُوا جَمِيعًا عَلى رَأْيٍ وَاحِد، مُتعاطِفِين، مُحِبِّينَ لِلإِخْوَة، رُحَمَاء، مُتَواضِعِين. 9 لا تَرُدُّوا الشَّرَّ بِالشَّرِّ أَوِ الشَّتِيمَةَ بِالشَّتِيمَة، بَلْ بِالعَكْسِ بَارِكُوا، لأَنَّكُم لِهـذَا دُعِيتُم، لِتَرِثُوا البَرَكَة؛ 10 لأَنَّ الكِتَابَ يَقُول: "مَنْ أَرادَ أَنْ يُحِبَّ الـحَيَاة، ويَرى أَيَّامًا صَالِحَة، فَلْيَصُنْ لِسَانَهُ عَنِ الشرّ، ولا تَنْطِقْ شَفَتَاهُ بِالْمَكْر، 11 وَليَتَجَنَّبِ الشَّرَّ ويَصْنَعِ الـخَير، ويَطلُبِ السَّلامَ ويَتَّبِعْهُ. 12 لأَنَّ عَينَيِ الرَّبِّ إِلى الأَبْرَارِوأُذُنَيهِ إِلى دُعَائِهِم، أَمَّا وَجْهُ الرَّبِّ فَعلى فَاعِلِي الشُّرُور".
Evangile Arabic	28 فَقَالُوا لَهُ: "مَاذَا نَصْنَعُ لِنَعْمَلَ أَعْمَالَ الله؟". 29 أَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهُم: "هـذَا هُوَ عَمَلُ الله، أَنْ تُؤْمِنُوا بِمَنْ أَرْسَلَهُ الله". 30 فَقَالُوا لَهُ: "أَيَّ آيَةٍ إِذًا تَصْنَع، لِنَرَى ونُؤْمِنَ بِكَ؟ مَاذَا تَعْمَل؟ 31 آبَاؤُنَا أَكَلُوا الـمَنَّ في البَرِّيَّة، كَمَا هُوَ مَكْتُوب: أَعْطَاهُم خُبْزًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ لِيَأْكُلُوا". 32 فَقَالَ لَهُم يَسُوع: "أَلـحَقَّ الـحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُم: لَيْسَ مُوسَى مَنْ أَعْطَاكُم خُبْزًا مِنَ السَّمَاء، بَلْ أَبِي هُوَ الَّذِي يُعْطِيكُم مِنَ السَّمَاءِ الـخُبْزَ الـحَقِيقِيّ. 33 فَخُبْزُ اللهِ هُوَ النَّازِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاء، والـمُعْطِي الـحَيَاةَ لِلْعَالَم".

Lecture French	01 Vous les femmes, soyez soumises à votre mari, pour que, même si certains refusent d’obéir à la parole de Dieu, ils soient gagnés par la conduite de leur femme et non par des paroles, 02 en ouvrant les yeux devant votre attitude pure et pleine de respect. 03 Que votre parure ne soit pas extérieure – coiffure élaborée, bijoux d’or, vêtements recherchés – 04 mais qu’elle soit une qualité d’humanité au plus intime de votre cœur, parure impérissable d’un esprit doux et paisible : voilà ce qui a grande valeur devant Dieu. 05 C’est cela qui faisait la parure des saintes femmes de jadis, elles qui espéraient en Dieu, soumises chacune à leur mari, 06 comme Sara qui obéissait à Abraham, en l’appelant seigneur. Vous êtes devenues les filles de Sara en faisant le bien, sans vous laisser troubler par aucune crainte. 07 De même, vous les maris, sachez comprendre, dans la vie commune, que la femme est un être plus délicat ; accordez-lui l’honneur qui lui revient, puisqu’elle hérite, au même titre que vous, de la grâce de la vie. Ainsi, rien ne fera obstacle à vos prières. 08 Vous tous, enfin, vivez en parfait accord, dans la sympathie, l’amour fraternel, la compassion et l’esprit d’humilité. 09 Ne rendez pas le mal pour le mal, ni l’insulte pour l’insulte ; au contraire, invoquez sur les autres la bénédiction, car c’est à cela que vous avez été appelés, afin de recevoir en héritage cette bénédiction. 10 En effet, comme il est écrit : Celui qui veut aimer la vie et connaître des jours heureux, qu’il garde sa langue du mal et ses lèvres des paroles perfides ; 11 qu’il se détourne du mal et qu’il fasse le bien, qu’il recherche la paix, et qu’il la poursuive. 12 Car le Seigneur regarde les justes, il écoute, attentif à leur demande. Mais le Seigneur affronte les méchants.
Evangile French	28 Ils lui dirent alors : « Que devons-nous faire pour travailler aux œuvres de Dieu ? » 29 Jésus leur répondit : « L’œuvre de Dieu, c’est que vous croyiez en celui qu’il a envoyé. » 30 Ils lui dirent alors : « Quel signe vas-tu accomplir pour que nous puissions le voir, et te croire ? Quelle œuvre vas-tu faire ? 31 Au désert, nos pères ont mangé la manne ; comme dit l’Écriture : Il leur a donné à manger le pain venu du ciel. » 32 Jésus leur répondit : « Amen, amen, je vous le dis : ce n’est pas Moïse qui vous a donné le pain venu du ciel ; c’est mon Père qui vous donne le vrai pain venu du ciel. 33 Car le pain de Dieu, c’est celui qui descend du ciel et qui donne la vie au monde. »

Lecture English	1 * Likewise, you wives should be subordinate to your husbands so that, even if some disobey the word, they may be won over without a word by their wives’ conduct 2 when they observe your reverent and chaste behavior.a 3 Your adornment should not be an external one: braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or dressing in fine clothes,b 4 but rather the hidden character of the heart, expressed in the imperishable beauty of a gentle and calm disposition, which is precious in the sight of God. 5 For this is also how the holy women who hoped in God once used to adorn themselves and were subordinate to their husbands; 6 thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him “lord.” You are her children when you do what is good and fear no intimidation. 7 c Likewise, you husbands should live with your wives in understanding, showing honor to the weaker female sex, since we are joint heirs of the gift of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.* Christian Conduct.* 8 Finally, all of you, be of one mind, sympathetic, loving toward one another, compassionate, humble. 9 Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing.d 10 For: “Whoever would love lifee and see good days must keep the tongue from evil and the lips from speaking deceit, 11 must turn from evil and do good, seek peace and follow after it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears turned to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against evildoers.”
Evangile English	28 So they said to him, “What can we do to accomplish the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in the one he sent.” 30 So they said to him, “What sign can you do, that we may see and believe in you? What can you do?m 31 * Our ancestors ate manna in the desert, as it is written:n ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” 32 So Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.o 33 For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
