Lecture Arabic	23 فدَعاهُم بُطْرُسُ إِلى الدُّخُولِ وأَضَافَهُم. وفي الغَد، قَامَ وخَرَجَ مَعَهُم، ورَافَقَهُ بَعْضُ الإِخْوَةِ مِنْ يَافَا. 24 وفي اليَوْمِ التَّالي، دَخَلَ قَيْصَرِيَّة. أَمَّا كُرْنِيلِيُوسُ فَكَانَ يَنْتَظِرُهُم، وقَدْ دَعَا أَنْسِبَاءَهُ وأَصْدِقَاءَهُ الأَقْرَبِين. 25 ولَمَّا دَخَلَ بُطْرُسُ اسْتَقبَلَهُ كُرْنِيلِيُوس، وارْتَمَى عَلى قَدَمَيهِ سَاجِدًا لهُ. 26 فأَنْهَضَهُ بُطرُسُ قائِلاً: "قُمْ، فإِنِّي أَنا أَيْضًا إِنسان!". 27 ثُمَّ دَخَلَ وهُوَ يُحَادِثُهُ، فوَجَدَ كَثِيرينَ مُجْتَمِعِين، 34 وفتَحَ بُطْرُسُ فَاهُ وقَال: "بِالـحَقيقَةِ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ اللهَ لا يُحَابِي الوُجُوه. 35 بَلْ إِنَّ مَنْ يَخَافُهُ في كُلِّ أُمَّة، ويَعْمَلُ البِرّ، يَكُونُ عِندَهُ مَقبُولاً. 36 لَقَدْ أَرْسَلَ الكَلِمَةَ إِلى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيل، فبَشَّرَهُم بِالسَّلامِ على يَدِ يَسُوعَ الـمَسيح، وهُوَ رَبُّ النَّاسِ أَجْمَعين. 37 وأَنْتُم تَعلَمُونَ مَا جَرَى في كُلِّ اليَهُودِيَّة، إِبتِدَاءً مِنَ الـجَليلِ بَعْدَ الـمَعْمُودِيَّةِ الَّتِي كَرَزَ بِهَا يُوحَنَّا، 38 كَيْفَ مَسَحَ اللهُ بِالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ وبِالقُدْرَةِ يَسُوعَ النَّاصِريّ، الَّذِي جَالَ يَصْنَعُ الـخَيرَ ويَشْفي كُلَّ مَنْ كَانَ تَحْتَ سُلْطَةِ إِبْلِيس، لأَنَّ اللهَ كَانَ مَعَهُ. 39 ونَحْنُ شُهُودٌ على كُلِّ مَا فَعَلَهُ في بِلادِ اليَهُودِ وفي أُورَشَليم. هُوَ الَّذي قَتَلُوهُ إِذْ عَلَّقُوهُ على خَشَبَة. 40 فهـذَا قَد أَقَامَهُ اللهُ في اليَومِ الثَّالِث، وآتاهُ أَنْ يَظْهَر، 41 لا لِلشَّعْبِ كُلِّهِ، بَلْ لِشُهُودٍ سَبَقَ اللهُ فَاخْتَارَهُم، لَنَا نَحْنُ الَّذينَ أَكَلْنا وشَرِبْنا مَعَهُ بَعْدَ قِيَامَتِهِ مِنْ بَينِ الأَمْوَات. 42 وقَدْ أَوْصَانَا أَنْ نَكْرِزَ لِلشَّعْب، وأَنْ نَشْهَدَ أَنَّهُ هُوَ الَّذي أَقَامَهُ اللهُ ديَّانًا لِلأَحْيَاءِ والأَموَات. 43 ولَهُ يَشْهَدُ جَمِيعُ الأَنْبِياء، أَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يُؤمِنُ بِهِ يَنَالُ بِاسْمِهِ مَغْفِرَةَ الـخَطَايَا".
Evangile Arabic	27 مَا أَقُولُهُ لَكُم في الظُّلْمَةِ قُولُوهُ في النُّور. ومَا تَسْمَعُونَهُ هَمْسًا في الأُذُنِ نَادُوا بِهِ عَلى السُّطُوح. 28 لا تَخَافُوا مِمَّنْ يَقْتُلُونَ الـجَسَد، ولا يَقْدِرُونَ أَنْ يَقْتُلُوا النَّفْس، بَلْ خَافُوا بِالـحَرِيِّ مِمَّنْ يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يُهْلِكَ النَّفْسَ والـجَسَدَ مَعًا في جَهَنَّم. 29 أَلا يُبَاعُ عُصْفُورَانِ بِفَلْسٍ، ووَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمَا لا يَسْقُطُ عَلى الأَرْضِ بِدُونِ عِلْمِ أَبِيْكُم؟ 30 أَمَّا أَنْتُم فَشَعْرُ رَأْسِكُم مَعْدُودٌ كُلُّهُ. 31 فَلا تَخَافُوا! إِنَّكُم أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عَصَافِيْرَ كَثِيْرَة. 32 كُلُّ مَنْ يَعْتَرِفُ بِي أَمَامَ النَّاس، أَعْتَرِفُ بِهِ أَنَا أَيْضًا أَمَامَ أَبي الَّذي في السَّمَاوَات. 33 ومَنْ يُنْكِرُني أَمَامَ النَّاس، أُنْكِرُهُ أَنَا أَيْضًا أَمَامَ أَبِي الَّذي في السَّمَاوَات.

Lecture French	23 Le lendemain, il se mit en route avec eux ; quelques frères de Jaffa l’accompagnèrent. 24 Le jour suivant, il entra à Césarée. Corneille les attendait, et avait rassemblé sa famille et ses amis les plus proches. 25 Comme Pierre arrivait, Corneille vint à sa rencontre et, tombant à ses pieds, il se prosterna. 26 Mais Pierre le releva en disant : « Lève-toi. Je ne suis qu’un homme, moi aussi. » 27 Tout en conversant avec lui, il entra et il trouva beaucoup de gens réunis. 34 Alors Pierre prit la parole et dit : « En vérité, je le comprends, Dieu est impartial : 35 il accueille, quelle que soit la nation, celui qui le craint et dont les œuvres sont justes. 36 Telle est la parole qu’il a envoyée aux fils d’Israël, en leur annonçant la bonne nouvelle de la paix par Jésus Christ, lui qui est le Seigneur de tous. 37 Vous savez ce qui s’est passé à travers tout le pays des Juifs, depuis les commencements en Galilée, après le baptême proclamé par Jean : 38 Jésus de Nazareth, Dieu lui a donné l’onction d’Esprit Saint et de puissance. Là où il passait, il faisait le bien et guérissait tous ceux qui étaient sous le pouvoir du diable, car Dieu était avec lui. 39 Et nous, nous sommes témoins de tout ce qu’il a fait dans le pays des Juifs et à Jérusalem. Celui qu’ils ont supprimé en le suspendant au bois du supplice, 40 Dieu l’a ressuscité le troisième jour. Il lui a donné de se manifester, 41 non pas à tout le peuple, mais à des témoins que Dieu avait choisis d’avance, à nous qui avons mangé et bu avec lui après sa résurrection d’entre les morts. 42 Dieu nous a chargés d’annoncer au peuple et de témoigner que lui-même l’a établi Juge des vivants et des morts. 43 C’est à Jésus que tous les prophètes rendent ce témoignage : Quiconque croit en lui reçoit par son nom le pardon de ses péchés. »
Evangile French	27 Ce que je vous dis dans les ténèbres, dites-le en pleine lumière ; ce que vous entendez au creux de l’oreille, proclamez-le sur les toits. 28 Ne craignez pas ceux qui tuent le corps sans pouvoir tuer l’âme ; craignez plutôt celui qui peut faire périr dans la géhenne l’âme aussi bien que le corps. 29 Deux moineaux ne sont-ils pas vendus pour un sou ? Or, pas un seul ne tombe à terre sans que votre Père le veuille. 30 Quant à vous, même les cheveux de votre tête sont tous comptés. 31 Soyez donc sans crainte : vous valez bien plus qu’une multitude de moineaux. 32 Quiconque se déclarera pour moi devant les hommes, moi aussi je me déclarerai pour lui devant mon Père qui est aux cieux. 33 Mais celui qui me reniera devant les hommes, moi aussi je le renierai devant mon Père qui est aux cieux.

Lecture English	23 The next day he got up and went with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa went with him. 24 * On the following day he entered Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. 25 h When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and, falling at his feet, paid him homage. 26 Peter, however, raised him up, saying, “Get up. I myself am also a human being.” 27 While he conversed with him, he went in and found many people gathered together 34 Then Peter proceeded to speak and said,* “In truth, I see that God shows no partiality.j 35 Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and acts uprightly is acceptable to him. 36 * You know the word [that] he sent to the Israelites* as he proclaimed peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all,k 37 what has happened all over Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached,l 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth* with the holy Spirit and power. He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.m 39 We are witnesses* of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and (in) Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree. 40 This man God raised (on) the third day and granted that he be visible, 41 not to all the people, but to us, the witnesses chosen by God in advance, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.n 42 He commissioned uso to preach to the people and testify that he is the one appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead.* 43 To him all the prophets bear witness, that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.”
Evangile English	27 What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. 28 And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.r 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. 30 Even all the hairs of your head are counted. 31 So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. 32 * Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. 33 But whoever denies me before others, I will deny before my heavenly Father.s
