Lecture Arabic	9 والآبَاءُ الأَوَّلُونَ حَسَدُوا يُوسُف، فَبَاعُوهُ إِلى مِصْر. وكَانَ اللهُ مَعَهُ. 10 فَأَنْقَذَهُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ مُضَايِقِيه، وآتَاهُ حُظْوَةً وحِكْمَةً عِنْدَ فِرْعَون، مَلِكِ مِصر، فَأَقَامَهُ فِرعَونُ وَالِيًا عَلى مِصْر، وعَلى كُلِّ بَيْتِهِ. 11 وحَدَثَتْ مَجَاعَةٌ وضِيقٌ شَدِيدٌ فِي كُلِّ مِصْرَ وبِلادِ كَنْعَان، فَلَمْ يَعُدْ آبَاؤُنَا يَجِدُونَ قُوتًا. 12 وسَمِعَ يَعْقُوبُ أَنَّ في مِصْرَ قَمْحًا، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا مَرَّةً أُولى. 13 وفِي الـمَرَّةِ الثَّانِيَةِ تَعَرَّفَ يُوسُفُ إِلى إِخْوَتِهِ، وظَهَرَ لِفِرْعَونَ أَصْلُ يُوسُف. 14 ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ يُوسُفُ فَاسْتَدْعَى أَبَاهُ يَعْقُوب، وجَمِيعَ عَشِيرَتِهِ، وكَانُوا خَمْسَةً وسَبْعِينَ نَفْسًا. 15 فَنَزَلَ يَعْقُوبُ إِلى مِصْر، وفِيهَا مَاتَ هُوَ وآبَاؤُنَا. 16 ثُمَّ نُقِلُوا إِلى شَكِيم، وَوُضِعُوا في القَبرِ الَّذِي كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَدِ اشْتَرَاهُ بِثَمَنِ فِضَّةٍ مِنْ بَنِي حَمُّور، أَبِي شَكِيم.
Evangile Arabic	20 أَلـحَقَّ الـحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنَّكُم سَتَبْكُونَ وتَنُوحُون، أَمَّا العَالَمُ فَسَيَفْرَح. أَنْتُم سَتَحْزَنُونَ ولـكِنَّ حُزْنَكُم سَيَتَحَوَّلُ إِلى فَرَح. 21 أَلـمَرْأَةُ تَحْزَنُ وهِي تَلِد، لأَنَّ سَاعَتَهَا حَانَتْ. ولـكِنَّهَا مَتَى وَلَدَتِ الطِّفْلَ، لا تَعُودُ تَذْكُرُ ضِيقَهَا، لِفَرَحِهَا أَنَّ إِنْسَانًا وُلِدَ في العَالَم. 22 فَأَنْتُمُ الآنَ أَيْضًا تَحْزَنُون، إِنَّمَا سَأَعُودُ فَأَرَاكُم، وتَفْرَحُ قُلُوبُكُم، ولا يَنْزِعُ أَحَدٌ فَرَحَكُم مِنْكُم. 23 وفي ذـلِكَ اليَوْمِ لَنْ تَسْأَلُونِي شَيْئًا. أَلـحَقَّ الـحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُم: كُلُّ مَا تَطْلُبُونَهُ مِنَ الآبِ بِاسْمِي، يُعْطِيكُم إِيَّاه. 24 حَتَّى الآنَ لَمْ تَطْلُبُوا بِاسْمِي شَيْئًا. أُطْلُبُوا تَنَالُوا فَيَكْتَمِلَ فَرَحُكُم.

Lecture French	09 Les patriarches, jaloux de Joseph, le vendirent pour être conduit en Égypte. Mais Dieu était avec lui, 10 et il le tira de toutes ses épreuves. Il lui donna grâce et sagesse devant Pharaon, roi d’Égypte, et celui-ci le mit à la tête de l’Égypte et de toute la maison royale. 11 Puis une famine arriva sur toute l’Égypte et Canaan, ainsi qu’une grande détresse, et nos pères ne trouvaient plus de nourriture. 12 Quand Jacob apprit qu’il y avait du blé en Égypte, il y envoya nos pères une première fois. 13 À la deuxième fois, Joseph se fit reconnaître par ses frères, et ainsi, son origine fut dévoilée à Pharaon. 14 Joseph envoya chercher son père Jacob et toute sa parenté, à savoir soixante-quinze personnes. 15 Jacob, alors, descendit en Égypte ; il y mourut, ainsi que nos pères. 16 Ils furent transportés à Sichem et déposés dans le tombeau qu’Abraham avait acheté à prix d’argent aux fils de Hemmor, à Sichem.
Evangile French	20 Amen, amen, je vous le dis : vous allez pleurer et vous lamenter, tandis que le monde se réjouira ; vous serez dans la peine, mais votre peine se changera en joie. 21 La femme qui enfante est dans la peine parce que son heure est arrivée. Mais, quand l’enfant est né, elle ne se souvient plus de sa souffrance, tout heureuse qu’un être humain soit venu au monde. 22 Vous aussi, maintenant, vous êtes dans la peine, mais je vous reverrai, et votre cœur se réjouira ; et votre joie, personne ne vous l’enlèvera. 23 En ce jour-là, vous ne me poserez plus de questions. Amen, amen, je vous le dis : ce que vous demanderez au Père en mon nom, il vous le donnera. 24 Jusqu’à présent vous n’avez rien demandé en mon nom ; demandez, et vous recevrez : ainsi votre joie sera parfaite.

Lecture English	9 “And the patriarchs, jealous of Joseph, sold him into slavery in Egypt; but God was with himh 10 and rescued him from all his afflictions. He granted him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, who put him in charge of Egypt and [of] his entire household.i 11 Then a famine and great affliction struck all Egypt and Canaan, and our ancestors could find no food;j 12 but when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our ancestors there a first time.k 13 The second time, Joseph made himself known to his brothers, and Joseph’s family became known to Pharaoh.l 14 Then Joseph sent for his father Jacob, inviting him and his whole clan, seventy-five persons;m 15 and Jacob went down to Egypt. And he and our ancestors diedn 16 and were brought back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had purchased for a sum of money from the sons of Hamor at Shechem.o
Evangile English	20 Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy.j 21 When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived; but when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy that a child has been born into the world.k 22 So you also are now in anguish. But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.l 23 On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.m 24 Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
