Lecture Arabic	1 وفي تِلْكَ الأَيَّام، كَانَ عَدَدُ التَّلامِيذِ يَتَكَاثَر، فَأَخَذَ الـهِلِّينِيُّونَ يَتَذَمَّرُونَ عَلى العِبرانِيِّين، لأَنَّ أَرَامِلَهُم كُنَّ يُهْمَلْنَ في الـخِدْمَةِ اليَومِيَّة. 2 فَدَعَا الاثْنَا عَشَرَ جُمْهُورَ التَّلامِيذِ وقَالُوا: "لا يَحْسُنُ بِنَا أَنْ نَتْرُكَ كَلِمَةَ اللهِ لِنَخْدُمَ الـمَوَائِد. 3 فَابْحَثُوا إِذًا، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، عَنْ سَبْعَةِ رِجَالٍ مِنْكُم مَشْهُودٍ لَهُم، مُمْتَلِئينَ مِنَ الرُّوحِ والـحِكْمَة، فَنُقِيمَهُم عَلى هـذِهِ الـحَاجَة، 4 ونُواظِبَ نَحْنُ عَلى الصَّلاةِ وَخِدْمَةِ الكَلِمَة. 5 وحَسُنَ هـذَا الكَلامُ لَدَى الـجُمهُورِ كُلِّهِ، فَاخْتَارُوا إِسْطِفَانُس، وهُوَ رَجُلٌ مُمْتَلِئٌ مِنَ الإِيْمَانِ والرُّوحِ القُدُس، وفِيلِبُّس، وبْرُوخُس، ونِيقَانُور، وطِيمُون، وبَرْمِنَاس، ونِيقُولاوُس وهُوَ إِنطَاكِيٌّ مُهْتَدٍ إِلى اليَهُودِيَّة. 6 وأَقَامُوهُم أَمَامَ الرُّسُل، فَصَلَّوا وَوَضَعُوا عَلَيْهِم الأَيْدِي. 7 وكَانَتْ كَلِمَةُ اللهِ تَنْمُو، وعَدَدُ التَّلامِيذِ يَتَكَاثَرُ جِدًّا فِي أُورَشَلِيم، وجَمْعٌ كَثِيرٌ مِنَ الكَهَنَةِ يَنْقَادُونَ لِلإِيْمَان. 8 وكَانَ إِسْطِفَانُس، وهُوَ مُمْتَلِئٌ مِنَ النِّعْمَةِ والقُدْرَة، يَصْنَعُ عَجَائِبَ وآيَاتٍ عَظِيمَةً بَينَ الشَّعْب. 9 فقَامَ أُنَاسٌ مِنَ الـمَجْمَعِ الـمَعْرُوفِ بِمَجْمَعِ الـمُعْتَقِين، ومِنْ سُكَّانِ قَيرَوان، والإِسكَندريَّة، وآخَرُونَ مِنْ قِيلِيقِيَةَ وآسِيَا. وأَخَذُوا يُجَادِلُونَ إِسْطِفَانُس. 10 فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِيعُوا أَنْ يُقَاوِمُوا الـحِكْمَةَ والرُّوحَ الَّذِي بِهِ كَانَ يَتَكَلَّم. 11 حِينَئِذٍ دَسُّوا رِجالاً يَقُولُون: "إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَاهُ يَتَكلَّمُ بِأَقْوَالِ تَجْدِيفٍ عَلى مُوسَى وعَلى الله". 12 وأَثَارُوا الشَّعْبَ والشُّيُوخَ والكَتَبَة، وبَاغَتُوهُ فَاخْتَطَفُوه، وسَاقُوهُ إِلى الـمَجْلِس.
Evangile Arabic	12 لَدَيَّ أُمُورٌ كَثِيرَةٌ أَيْضًا أَقُولُهَا لَكُم، ولـكِنَّكُم لا تَقْدِرُونَ الآنَ أَنْ تَحْتَمِلُوهَا. 13 ومَتَى جَاءَ رُوحُ الـحَقِّ فَهُوَ يَقُودُ خُطَاكُم في الـحَقِّ كُلِّهِ، لأَنَّهُ لا يَتَكَلَّمُ بِشَيءٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ، بَلْ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِكُلِّ مَا يَسْمَع، ويُنْبِئُكُم بِمَا سَيَأْتِي. 14 وهُوَ سَوْفَ يُمَجِّدُنِي لأَنًّهُ سَيَأْخُذُ مِمَّا لي ويُنْبِئُكُم بِهِ. 15 كُلُّ مَا لِلآبِ هُوَ لي. لِهـذَا قُلْتُ: إِنَّهُ يَأْخُذُ مِمَّا لي ويُنْبِئُكُم بِهِ.

Lecture French	01 En ces jours-là, comme le nombre des disciples augmentait, les frères de langue grecque récriminèrent contre ceux de langue hébraïque, parce que les veuves de leur groupe étaient désavantagées dans le service quotidien. 02 Les Douze convoquèrent alors l’ensemble des disciples et leur dirent : « Il n’est pas bon que nous délaissions la parole de Dieu pour servir aux tables. 03 Cherchez plutôt, frères, sept d’entre vous, des hommes qui soient estimés de tous, remplis d’Esprit Saint et de sagesse, et nous les établirons dans cette charge. 04 En ce qui nous concerne, nous resterons assidus à la prière et au service de la Parole. » 05 Ces propos plurent à tout le monde, et l’on choisit : Étienne, homme rempli de foi et d’Esprit Saint, Philippe, Procore, Nicanor, Timon, Parménas et Nicolas, un converti au judaïsme, originaire d’Antioche. 06 On les présenta aux Apôtres, et après avoir prié, ils leur imposèrent les mains. 07 La parole de Dieu était féconde, le nombre des disciples se multipliait fortement à Jérusalem, et une grande foule de prêtres juifs parvenaient à l’obéissance de la foi. 08 Étienne, rempli de la grâce et de la puissance de Dieu, accomplissait parmi le peuple des prodiges et des signes éclatants. 09 Intervinrent alors certaines gens de la synagogue dite des Affranchis, ainsi que des Cyrénéens et des Alexandrins, et aussi des gens originaires de Cilicie et de la province d’Asie. Ils se mirent à discuter avec Étienne, 10 mais sans pouvoir résister à la sagesse et à l’Esprit qui le faisaient parler. 11 Alors ils soudoyèrent des hommes pour qu’ils disent : « Nous l’avons entendu prononcer des paroles blasphématoires contre Moïse et contre Dieu. » 12 Ils ameutèrent le peuple, les anciens et les scribes, et, s’étant saisis d’Étienne à l’improviste, ils l’amenèrent devant le Conseil suprême.
Evangile French	12 J’ai encore beaucoup de choses à vous dire, mais pour l’instant vous ne pouvez pas les porter. 13 Quand il viendra, lui, l’Esprit de vérité, il vous conduira dans la vérité tout entière. En effet, ce qu’il dira ne viendra pas de lui-même : mais ce qu’il aura entendu, il le dira ; et ce qui va venir, il vous le fera connaître. 14 Lui me glorifiera, car il recevra ce qui vient de moi pour vous le faire connaître. 15 Tout ce que possède le Père est à moi ; voilà pourquoi je vous ai dit : L’Esprit reçoit ce qui vient de moi pour vous le faire connaître.

Lecture English	1 * At that time, as the number of disciples continued to grow, the Hellenists complained against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution.a 2 * So the Twelve called together the community of the disciples and said, “It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to serve at table.* 3 Brothers, select from among you seven reputable men, filled with the Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint to this task, 4 whereas we shall devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” 5 The proposal was acceptable to the whole community, so they chose Stephen, a man filled with faith and the holy Spirit, also Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicholas of Antioch, a convert to Judaism. 6 b They presented these men to the apostles who prayed and laid hands on them.* 7 The word of God continued to spread, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly; even a large group of priests were becoming obedient to the faith.c Accusation against Stephen. 8 * Now Stephen, filled with grace and power, was working great wonders and signs among the people. 9 Certain members of the so-called Synagogue of Freedmen, Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and people from Cilicia and Asia, came forward and debated with Stephen, 10 but they could not withstand the wisdom and the spirit with which he spoke.d 11 Then they instigated some men to say, “We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”e 12 They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, accosted him, seized him, and brought him before the Sanhedrin.
Evangile English	12 “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. 13 * But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.h He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. 14 He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. 15 Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.
