Lecture Arabic	1 وقَالَ عَظِيمُ الأَحْبَار: "هَلِ الأَمْرُ كَذ,لِكَ؟". 2 فقَالَ إِسْطِفَانُس: "أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ الإِخْوَةُ والآبَاء، اسْمَعُوا: إِنَّ إِلـهَ الـمَجْدِ قَدْ تَرَاءَى لأَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيم، وهُوَ في بِلادِ مَا بَينَ النَّهْرَيْن، قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْكُنَ فِي حَرَّان، 3 وقَالَ لَهُ: أُخْرُجْ مِنْ أَرْضِكَ ومِنْ عَشِيرَتِكَ وهَلُمَّ إِلى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي سَأُرِيكَ إِيَّاهَا. 4 حِينَئِذٍ خَرَجَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مِنْ أَرْضِ الكِلْدَانِيِّين، وسَكَنَ فِي حَرَّان. ومِنْ هُنَاكَ نَقَلَهُ الله، بَعْدَ مَوْتِ أَبِيه، إِلى هـذِهِ الأَرْضِ الَّتِي أَنْتُمُ الآنَ فِيهَا سَاكِنُون. 5 ولَمْ يُعْطِهِ فِيهَا مِيرَاثًا، وَلا مَوطِئَ قَدَم، ولـكِنْ وَعَدَ بِأَنْ يُعْطِيَهَا لَهُ مِلْكًا، وَلِنَسْلِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ، مَعَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلَد. 6 وتَكَلَّمَ اللهُ هـكَذَا: سَيَكُونُ نَسْلُهُ غَرِيبًا فِي أَرْضٍ غَرِيبَة، فَيَسْتَعْبِدُونَهُ ويُسِيئُونَ إِلَيْهِ أَرْبَعَ مِئَةِ سَنَة. 7 والأُمَّةُ الَّتِي سَيُسْتَعْبَدُونَ لَهَا سَأَدِينُهَا أَنَا، قَالَ الله، وبَعْدَ ذ,لِكَ سَيَخْرُجُونَ ويَعْبُدُونَنِي في هـذَا الـمَكَان. 8 ثُمَّ أَعْطَى اللهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَهْدَ الـخِتَان، وهـكَذَا وَلَدَ إِسْحـقَ وَخَتَنَهُ في اليَوْمِ الثَّامِن، وإِسْحـقُ وَلَدَ يَعْقُوبَ وخَتَنَهُ، ويَعْقُوبُ وَلَدَ الآبَاءَ الأَوَّلِينَ الاثْنَي عَشَرَ وخَتَنَهُم.
Evangile Arabic	16 عَمَّا قَليلٍ لَنْ تَرَونِي، ثُمَّ عَمَّا قَليلٍ تَرَونَنِي". 17 فَقَالَ بَعْضُ تَلامِيذِهِ فيمَا بَيْنَهُم: "مَا هـذَا الَّذي يَقُولُهُ لَنَا: عَمَّا قَليلٍ لَنْ تَرَونِي، ثُمَّ عَمَّا قَليلٍ تَرَونَنِي، وأَنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلى الآب؟". 18 وكَانُوا يَقُولُون: "مَا هُوَ هـذَا القَليلُ الَّذي يَتَكَلَّمُ عَنْهُ؟ لا نَعْرِفُ عَمَّا يَتَكَلَّم". 19 وعَرَفَ يَسُوعُ أَنَّهُم يُريدُونَ أَنْ يَسْأَلُوه، فَقَالَ لَهُم: "هَلْ تَتَسَاءَلُونَ فيمَا بَيْنَكُم عَنْ قَولي هـذَا: عَمَّا قَليلٍ لَنْ ترَونِي، ثُمَّ عَمَّا قَليلٍ تَرَونَنِي؟

Lecture French	01 Le grand prêtre demanda : « Cela est-il exact ? » 02 Étienne dit alors : « Frères et pères, écoutez ! Le Dieu de gloire est apparu à notre père Abraham, quand il était en Mésopotamie avant de venir habiter Harrane, 03 et il lui a dit : Sors de ton pays et de ta parenté, et va dans le pays que je te montrerai. 04 Alors, étant sorti du pays des Chaldéens, il vint habiter Harrane ; après la mort de son père, Dieu le fit émigrer de là-bas vers le pays où vous-mêmes habitez maintenant. 05 Et là, il ne lui donna rien en héritage, pas même de quoi poser le pied. Mais il promit de lui donner ce pays en possession ainsi qu’à sa descendance après lui, alors qu’il n’avait pas encore d’enfant. 06 Dieu lui déclara que ses descendants seraient des immigrés en terre étrangère, que l’on en ferait des esclaves et qu’on les maltraiterait pendant quatre cents ans. 07 “Mais, dit Dieu, la nation dont ils seront esclaves, moi, je la jugerai, et après cela ils sortiront et ils me rendront un culte en ce lieu.” 08 Et Dieu lui donna l’alliance de la circoncision. Ainsi, Abraham engendra Isaac et le circoncit le huitième jour. Isaac fit de même pour Jacob, et Jacob pour les douze patriarches.
Evangile French	16 Encore un peu de temps, et vous ne me verrez plus ; encore un peu de temps, et vous me reverrez. » 17 Alors, certains de ses disciples se dirent entre eux : « Que veut-il nous dire par là : “Encore un peu de temps, et vous ne me verrez plus ; encore un peu de temps, et vous me reverrez”. Et puis : “Je m’en vais auprès du Père” ? » 18 Ils disaient donc : « Que veut dire : un peu de temps ? Nous ne savons pas de quoi il parle. » 19 Jésus comprit qu’ils voulaient l’interroger, et il leur dit : « Vous discutez entre vous parce que j’ai dit : “Encore un peu de temps, et vous ne me verrez plus ; encore un peu de temps, et vous me reverrez.”

Lecture English	1 Then the high priest asked, “Is this so?” 2 a And he replied,* “My brothers and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was in Mesopotamia,* before he had settled in Haran, 3 and said to him, ‘Go forth from your land and [from] your kinsfolk to the land that I will show you.’b 4 So he went forth from the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. And from there, after his father died, he made him migrate to this land where you now dwell.c 5 Yet he gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot’s length, but he did promise to give it to him and his descendants as a possession, even though he was childless.d 6 And God spoke thus,e ‘His descendants shall be aliens in a land not their own, where they shall be enslaved and oppressed for four hundred years; 7 but I will bring judgment on the nation they serve,’ God said, ‘and after that they will come out and worship me in this place.’f 8 Then he gave him the covenant of circumcision, and so he became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day, as Isaac did Jacob, and Jacob the twelve patriarchs.g
Evangile English	16 “A little while and you will no longer see me, and again a little while later and you will see me.”i 17 So some of his disciples said to one another, “What does this mean that he is saying to us, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me,’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?” 18 So they said, “What is this ‘little while’ [of which he speaks]? We do not know what he means.” 19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Are you discussing with one another what I said, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’?
