Lecture Arabic	1 وفي ذـلِكَ الوَقْت، أَلْقَى هِيرُودُسُ الـمَلِكُ الأَيْدِيَ على قَوْمٍ مِنَ الكَنِيسَة، لِيُسِيءَ إِلَيهِم. 2 فقَتَلَ بِحَدِّ السَّيفِ يَعْقُوب، أَخَا يُوحَنَّا. 3 ولَمَّا رأَى أَنَّ ذـلِكَ يُرضِي اليَهُود، زَادَ عَلى ذـلِكَ فقَبَضَ أَيضًا على بُطرُس، وكانَ ذـلِكَ في أَيَّامِ الفَطير. 4 فأَمْسَكَهُ ووَضَعَهُ في السِّجْن، وسَلَّمَهُ إِلى أَربَعِ وَحَداتٍ مِنَ الـجُنُودِ لِيَحرُسُوه، كُلُّ وَحْدَةٍ أَربَعَةُ جُنُود. وكانَ يَنْوي أَنْ يُقَدِّمَهُ بَعْدَ الفِصْحِ إِلى الشَّعْب. 5 فَكَانَ بُطرُسُ مَحفُوظًا في السِّجْن، وكَانَتِ الكَنيسَةُ تُصَلِّي إِلى اللهِ مِنْ أَجْلِهِ بِلا انْقِطَاع. 6 وفِيمَا كَانَ هِيرُودُسُ يَهُمُّ بِمُحَاكَمَةِ بُطرُس، وبُطرُسُ نائِمٌ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلةَ بينَ جُنْدِيَّين، مُقَيَّدٌ بسِلسِلَتَين، والـحُرَّاسُ على بَابِ السِّجْنِ يَحْرُسُون، 7 إِذَا بِمَلاكِ الرَّبِّ قَدْ وَقَفَ بِه، ونُورٌ أَضَاءَ في الـمَكَان، وضَرَبَ الـمَلاكُ جَنْبَ بُطرُسَ فأَيقَظَهُ، وقَال: "قُمْ سَريعًا!". فانْحَلَّتِ السِّلْسِلَتانِ مِن يَدَيه. 8 وقَالَ الـمَلاكُ لِبُطرُس: "شُدَّ حِزامَكَ، وانْتَعِلْ حِذاءَكَ!"، فَفَعَلْ. ثُمَّ قالَ لهُ: "إِلْبَسْ رِداءَكَ، واتْبَعْنِي!". 9 فخَرَجَ يَتْبَعُهُ، وهُوَ لا يَدْري أَنَّ مَا جَرَى عَلى يَدِ الـمَلاكِ كَانَ حَقِيقَة، بَلْ كانَ يَظُنُّ أَنَّهُ يَرَى رُؤْيَا. 10 فاجْتازَا الـحَرَسَ الأَوَّلَ والثَّانِي، وبَلَغَا البَابَ الـحَدِيدِيَّ الـمُؤَدِّيَ إِلى الـمَدينَة، فانْفَتَحَ لَهُمَا البَابُ تِلْقائِيًّا، فَخَرَجَا واجْتَازَا شَارِعًا واحِدًا، ولِلحَالِ فَارَقَهُ الـمَلاك. 11 فَرَجَعَ بُطرُسُ إِلى نَفْسِهِ وقال: "أَلآنَ عَلِمْتُ حقًّا أَنَّ الرَّبَّ أَرْسَلَ مَلاكَهُ فأَنْقَذَني مِن يَدِ هِيرُودُس، ومِن كُلِّ ما توَقَّعَهُ لي شَعْبُ اليَهُود".
Evangile Arabic	1 حِينَئِذٍ دَنَا إِلى يَسُوعَ فَرِّيسِيُّونَ وكَتَبَةٌ مِنْ أُورَشَليمَ وقَالُوا لَهُ: 2 "لِمَاذَا يُخَالِفُ تَلامِيذُكَ تَقْليدَ الشُّيُوخ، فلا يَغْسِلُونَ أَيْدِيَهُم عِنْدَمَا يَتَنَاوَلُونَ طَعَامًا؟". 3 فَأَجَابَ وقَالَ لَهُم: "وَأَنْتُم، لِمَاذَا تُخَالِفُونَ وَصِيَّةَ اللهِ مِنْ أَجْلِ تَقْليدِكُم؟ 4 فَاللهُ قَال: أَكْرِمْ أَبَاكَ وأُمَّكَ، ومَنْ يَلْعَنْ أَبَاهُ أَو أَمَّهُ فَلْيُقْتَلْ قَتْلاً. 5 أَمَّا أَنْتُم فَتَقُولُون: إِنَّ مَنْ قَالَ لأَبِيهِ أَو أُمِّهِ: مَا يُمْكِنُني أَنْ أُسَاعِدَكَ بِهِ قَدَّمْتُهُ قُرْبَانًا لِلْهَيْكَل، 6 لا يَعُودُ مُلْزَمًا بِإِكْرَامِ أَبِيْهِ أَو أُمِّهِ. فَمِنْ أَجْلِ تَقْليدِكُم أَبْطَلتُم كَلِمَةَ الله! 7 يَا مُرَاؤُون، حَسَنًا تَنَبَّأَ عَلَيْكُم آشَعْيا قَائِلاً: 8 هـذَا الشَّعْبُ يُكْرِمُنِي بِشَفَتَيه، أَمَّا قَلْبُهُ فَبَعِيدٌ جِدًا عَنِّي. 9 وبَاطِلاً يَعْبُدُونَنِي، وهُم يُعَلِّمُونَ تَعَالِيمَ لَيْسَتْ إِلاَّ وصَايَا بَشَر".

Lecture French	01 À cette époque, le roi Hérode Agrippa se saisit de certains membres de l’Église pour les mettre à mal. 02 Il supprima Jacques, frère de Jean, en le faisant décapiter. 03 Voyant que cette mesure plaisait aux Juifs, il décida aussi d’arrêter Pierre. C’était les jours des Pains sans levain. 04 Il le fit appréhender, emprisonner, et placer sous la garde de quatre escouades de quatre soldats ; il voulait le faire comparaître devant le peuple après la Pâque. 05 Tandis que Pierre était ainsi détenu dans la prison, l’Église priait Dieu pour lui avec insistance. 06 Hérode allait le faire comparaître. Or, Pierre dormait, cette nuit-là, entre deux soldats ; il était attaché avec deux chaînes et des gardes étaient en faction devant la porte de la prison. 07 Et voici que survint l’ange du Seigneur, et une lumière brilla dans la cellule. Il réveilla Pierre en le frappant au côté et dit : « Lève-toi vite. » Les chaînes lui tombèrent des mains. 08 Alors l’ange lui dit : « Mets ta ceinture et chausse tes sandales. » Ce que fit Pierre. L’ange ajouta : « Enveloppe-toi de ton manteau et suis-moi. » 09 Pierre sortit derrière lui, mais il ne savait pas que tout ce qui arrivait grâce à l’ange était bien réel ; il pensait qu’il avait une vision. 10 Passant devant un premier poste de garde, puis devant un second, ils arrivèrent au portail de fer donnant sur la ville. Celui-ci s’ouvrit tout seul devant eux. Une fois dehors, ils s’engagèrent dans une rue, et aussitôt l’ange le quitta. 11 Alors, se reprenant, Pierre dit : « Vraiment, je me rends compte maintenant que le Seigneur a envoyé son ange, et qu’il m’a arraché aux mains d’Hérode et à tout ce qu’attendait le peuple juif. »
Evangile French	01 Alors des pharisiens et des scribes venus de Jérusalem s’approchent de Jésus et lui disent : 02 « Pourquoi tes disciples transgressent-ils la tradition des anciens ? En effet, ils ne se lavent pas les mains avant de manger. » 03 Jésus leur répondit : « Et vous, pourquoi transgressez-vous le commandement de Dieu au nom de votre tradition ? 04 Car Dieu a dit : Honore ton père et ta mère. Et encore : Celui qui maudit son père ou sa mère sera mis à mort. 05 Et vous, vous dites : “Supposons que quelqu’un déclare à son père ou à sa mère : “Les ressources qui m’auraient permis de t’aider sont un don réservé à Dieu.” 06 Dans ce cas, il n’aura plus à honorer son père ou sa mère.” Ainsi, vous avez annulé la parole de Dieu au nom de votre tradition ! Hypocrites ! 07 Isaïe a bien prophétisé à votre sujet quand il a dit : 08 Ce peuple m’honore des lèvres, mais son cœur est loin de moi. 09 C’est en vain qu’ils me rendent un culte ; les doctrines qu’ils enseignent ne sont que des préceptes humains. »

Lecture English	1 About that time King Herod laid hands upon some members of the church to harm them. 2 He had James, the brother of John,* killed by the sword, 3 * and when he saw that this was pleasing to the Jews he proceeded to arrest Peter also. (It was [the] feast of Unleavened Bread.) 4 He had him taken into custody and put in prison under the guard of four squads of four soldiers each. He intended to bring him before the people after Passover. 5 Peter thus was being kept in prison, but prayer by the church was fervently being made to God on his behalf.a 6 On the very night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter, secured by double chains, was sleeping between two soldiers, while outside the door guards kept watch on the prison. 7 Suddenly the angel of the Lord stood by him and a light shone in the cell. He tapped Peter on the side and awakened him, saying, “Get up quickly.” The chains fell from his wrists. 8 The angel said to him, “Put on your belt and your sandals.” He did so. Then he said to him, “Put on your cloak and follow me.” 9 So he followed him out, not realizing that what was happening through the angel was real; he thought he was seeing a vision. 10 They passed the first guard, then the second, and came to the iron gate leading out to the city, which opened for them by itself. They emerged and made their way down an alley, and suddenly the angel left him. 11 Then Peter recovered his senses and said, “Now I know for certain that [the] Lord sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people had been expecting.”
Evangile English	1 a Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, 2 b “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders?* They do not wash [their] hands when they eat a meal.” 3 He said to them in reply, “And why do you break the commandment of God* for the sake of your tradition? 4 c For God said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and ‘Whoever curses father or mother shall die.’ 5 * But you say, ‘Whoever says to father or mother, “Any support you might have had from me is dedicated to God,” 6 need not honor his father.’ You have nullified the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 Hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy about you when he said: 8 d ‘This people honors me with their lips,* but their hearts are far from me; 9 e in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts.’”
