Lecture Arabic	18 وَبَقِيَ بُولُسُ في قُورِنْتُسَ أَيَّامًا عَدِيدَة، ثُمَّ وَدَّعَ الإِخْوَة، وأَبْحَرَ إِلى سُورِيَّا، ومَعَهُ بِرِسْقِلَّةُ وأَكِيلا، وكَانَ قَدْ حَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ في قَنْخَرِيَّة، لِنَذْرٍ كَانَ عَلَيْه. 19 ولَمَّا وَصَلُوا إِلى أَفَسُس، تَرَكَهُمَا بُولُس، ودَخَلَ الـمَجْمَع، فَجَادَلَ اليَهُود. 20 وسَأَلُوهُ أَنْ يُقِيمَ عِنْدَهُم مُدَّةً أَطْوَل، فَلَمْ يُوافِقْ، 21 ولـكِنَّهُ وَدَّعَهُم قائِلاً: "سَأَعُودُ إِلَيْكُم ثَانِيَةً، إِنْ شَاءَ الله". ثُمَّ غَادَرَ أَفَسُس. 22 ونَزَلَ إِلى قَيصَرِيَّة، ومِنْهَا صَعِدَ إِلى أُورَشَليم، وسَلَّمَ عَلى الكَنِيسَة، ثُمَّ نَزَلَ إِلى أَنْطَاكِيَة. 23 وبَعْدَما قَضَى فيهَا مُدَّةً، خَرَجَ وَاجْتَازَ عَلى التَّوَالي في بِلادِ غَلاطِيَةَ وَفِرِيْجِيَة، وهُوَ يُشَدِّدُ التَّلامِيذَ جَميعًا. 24 وقَدِمَ إِلى أَفَسُسَ يَهُودِيٌّ إِسْكَنْدَرِيُّ الأَصْل، اسْمُهُ أَبُلُّوس، فَصيحُ اللِّسَان، قَديرٌ في شَرْحِ الكُتُبِ الـمُقَدَّسَة. 25 وكانَ قَدْ تَعَلَّمَ طَريقَ الرَّبّ، وأَخَذَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِرُوحٍ مُتَّقِد، ويُعَلِّمُ مَا يَخْتَصُّ بِيَسُوعَ تَعْليمًا دَقيقًا، ولـكِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَعْرِفُ إِلاَّ مَعْمُودِيَّةَ يُوحَنَّا. 26 وبَدَأَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِجُرْأَةٍ في الـمَجْمَع. وَسَمِعَتْهُ بِرِسْقِلَّةُ وأَكِيلا فأَخَذَاهُ إِلَيْهِمَا، وشَرَحَا لَهُ طَريقَ اللهِ شَرْحًا أَدَقّ. 27 وعَزَمَ أَنْ يَجْتَازَ إِلى أَخائِيَة، فَشَجَّعَهُ الإِخْوَةُ وكَتَبُوا إِلى التَّلامِيذِ لِيَسْتَقْبِلُوه. ولَمَّا وَصَلَ إِلَيْها سَاعَدَ الـمُؤْمِنينَ مُسَاعَدَةً كَبيرَةً بِمَا أُوتِيَ مِنْ نِعْمَة؛ 28 فقَدْ كَانَ يُفْحِمُ اليَهُودَ عَلانِيَةً بِقُوَّةِ حُجَجِهِ، مُبَيِّنًا مِنَ الكُتُبِ الـمُقَدَّسَةِ أَنَّ الـمَسِيحَ هُوَ يَسُوع.
Evangile Arabic	33 لا أَحَدَ يَشْعَلُ سِرَاجًا، وَيَضَعُهُ في مَكانٍ مَخْفِيّ، وَلا تَحْتَ الـمِكْيَال، بَلْ عَلَى الـمنَارَة، لِيَرَى الدَّاخِلُونَ النُّور. 34 سِرَاجُ الـجَسَدِ هُوَ العَين. عِنْدَمَا تَكُونُ عَيْنُكَ سَلِيمَة، يَكُونُ جَسَدُكَ أَيْضًا كُلُّهُ نَيِّرًا. وَإِنْ كَانَتْ سَقِيمَة، فَجَسَدُكَ أَيْضًا يَكُونُ مُظْلِمًا. 35 تَنَبَّهْ إِذًا لِئَلاَّ يَكُونَ النُّورُ الَّذي فِيكَ ظَلامًا. 36 إِذاً، إِنْ كانَ جَسَدُكَ كَلُّهُ نَيِّرًا، وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ جِزْءٌ مُظْلِم، يِكُونُ كُلُّهُ نَيِّرًا، كَمَا لَوْ أَنَّ السِّراجَ بِضَوئِهِ يُنيرُ لَكَ".

Lecture French	18 Paul demeura encore assez longtemps à Corinthe. Puis il fit ses adieux aux frères et s’embarqua pour la Syrie, accompagné de Priscille et d’Aquila. À Cencrées, il s’était fait raser la tête, car le vœu qui le liait avait pris fin. 19 Ils arrivèrent à Éphèse ; il laissa là ses compagnons, mais lui, entrant à la synagogue, se mit à discuter avec les Juifs. 20 Comme ceux-ci lui demandaient de rester plus longtemps, il n’accepta pas. 21 En faisant ses adieux, il dit : « Je reviendrai encore chez vous, si Dieu le veut. » Et, quittant Éphèse, il reprit la mer. 22 Ayant débarqué à Césarée, il monta saluer l’Église de Jérusalem, puis descendit à Antioche. 23 Après y avoir passé quelque temps, Paul partit. Il parcourut successivement le pays galate et la Phrygie, en affermissant tous les disciples. 24 Or, un Juif nommé Apollos, originaire d’Alexandrie, venait d’arriver à Éphèse. C’était un homme éloquent, versé dans les Écritures. 25 Il avait été instruit du Chemin du Seigneur ; dans la ferveur de l’Esprit, il parlait et enseignait avec précision ce qui concerne Jésus, mais, comme baptême, il ne connaissait que celui de Jean. 26 Il se mit donc à parler avec assurance à la synagogue. Quand Priscille et Aquilas l’entendirent, ils le prirent à part et lui exposèrent avec plus de précision le Chemin de Dieu. 27 Comme Apollos voulait se rendre en Grèce, les frères l’y encouragèrent, et écrivirent aux disciples de lui faire bon accueil. Quand il fut arrivé, il rendit de grands services à ceux qui étaient devenus croyants par la grâce de Dieu. 28 En effet, avec vigueur il réfutait publiquement les Juifs, en démontrant par les Écritures que le Christ, c’est Jésus.
Evangile French	33 Personne, après avoir allumé une lampe, ne la met dans une cachette ou bien sous le boisseau : on la met sur le lampadaire pour que ceux qui entrent voient la lumière. 34 La lampe de ton corps, c’est ton œil. Quand ton œil est limpide, ton corps tout entier est aussi dans la lumière ; mais quand ton œil est mauvais, ton corps aussi est dans les ténèbres. 35 Examine donc si la lumière qui est en toi n’est pas ténèbres ; 36 si ton corps tout entier est dans la lumière sans aucune part de ténèbres, alors il sera dans la lumière tout entier, comme lorsque la lampe t’illumine de son éclat. »

Lecture English	18 Paul remained for quite some time, and after saying farewell to the brothers he sailed for Syria, together with Priscilla and Aquila. At Cenchreae he had his hair cutf because he had taken a vow.* 19 When they reached Ephesus, he left them there, while he entered the synagogue and held discussions with the Jews. 20 Although they asked him to stay for a longer time, he did not consent, 21 but as he said farewell he promised, “I shall come back to you again, God willing.” Then he set sail from Ephesus. 22 Upon landing at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church* and then went down to Antioch. 23 * After staying there some time, he left and traveled in orderly sequence through the Galatian country and Phrygia, bringing strength to all the disciples. Apollos. 24 A Jew named Apollos,g a native of Alexandria, an eloquent speaker, arrived in Ephesus. He was an authority on the scriptures.* 25 He had been instructed in the Way of the Lord and, with ardent spirit, spoke and taught accurately about Jesus, although he knew only the baptism of John. 26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the Way (of God)* more accurately. 27 And when he wanted to cross to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. After his arrival he gave great assistance to those who had come to believe through grace. 28 He vigorously refuted the Jews in public, establishing from the scriptures that the Messiah is Jesus.
Evangile English	33 “No one who lights a lamp hides it away or places it [under a bushel basket], but on a lampstand so that those who enter might see the light.q 34 The lamp of the body is your eye.r When your eye is sound, then your whole body is filled with light, but when it is bad, then your body is in darkness. 35 Take care, then, that the light in you not become darkness. 36 If your whole body is full of light, and no part of it is in darkness, then it will be as full of light as a lamp illuminating you with its brightness.”
