Lecture Arabic	8 وكانَ في لِسْترَةَ رَجُلٌ سَقِيمُ الرِّجْلَيْن، أَعرَجُ مِن بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ، لَم يَمْشِ يَومًا في حيَاتِهِ. 9 وسَمِعَ بُولُسَ يتَكَلَّم، فتَفَرَّسَ فيهِ بُولُس، ورأَى أَنَّ لَهُ إِيْمَانًا لِكَي يَخْلُص. 10 فقَالَ بِصَوتٍ عظِيم: " قُمْ وانْتَصِبْ على رِجلَيْك !". فوَثَبَ الرَّجُلُ وصارَ يَمْشِي. 11 ولَمَّا رَأَى الـجُمُوعُ ما فَعَلَ بُولُس، رَفَعُوا صَوتَهُم بِلُغَةِ لِيقُونِيَةَ قائِلِين:" لقَدْ نَزَلَتْ إِلَينا الآلِهَةُ بِشِبهِ البَشَر!". 12 وكانُوا يَدْعُونَ بَرْنَابَا زُوش، وبُولُسَ هِرْمِس، لأَنَّهُ هُوَ الَّذِي كانَ يتَوَلَّى الكَلام. 13 وكَانَ على مَدْخَلِ الـمَدِينَةِ مَعْبَدٌ لِلإِلـهِ زُوش، فَجَاءَ كَاهِنُهُ إِلى الأَبْواب، بِثِيرانٍ وأَكالِيلَ مِنْ زَهْر، يُريدُ أَنْ يُقَدِّمَ مَعَ الـجُمُوعِ ذَبيحَةً لِبَرْنَابَا وبُولُس. 14 فلَمَّا سَمِعَ الرَّسُولانِ بِذـلِكَ، مَزَّقَا ثِيَابَهُمَا وأَسْرَعَا إِلى الـجَمْعِ يَصيحَانِ 15 قائِلَيْن: " أَيُّهَا الرِّجَال، لِمَاذَا تَفْعَلُونَ هـذَا؟ نَحْنُ أَيْضًا بَشَرٌ ضُعفَاءُ مِثلُكُم. ونُبَشِّرُكُم أَنْ تَرْجِعُوا عَنْ هـذِهِ الأَبَاطِيلِ إِلى اللهِ الـحَيّ، الَّذِي صَنَعَ السَّماءَ والأَرضَ والبَحرَ وكُلَّ ما فيها. 16 وقَدْ تَرَكَ جميعَ الأُمَم، في الأَجْيَالِ الغَابِرَة، يَسْلُكُونَ في طُرُقِهِم، 17 مَعَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَدَعْ نَفْسَهُ بِغَيرِ شُهُود. فهُوَ مَا زَالَ يُنْعِمُ علَيْكُم بِالـخَيْر، ويَرْزُقُكُم مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَمْطَارًا وفُصُولاً مُثْمِرَة، ويُشْبِعُ قُلُوبَكُم طَعَامًا وسُرُورًا". 18 بِـهـذَا الكَلام، وبَعْدَ جَهْدٍ، تَمَكَّنَا مِنْ تَهْدِئَةِ الـجُمُوعِ كَي لا يُقَدِّمُوا لَهُمَا ذَبيحَة.
Evangile Arabic	13 أَلوَيلُ لَكِ، يا كُورَزِين! الويلُ لَكِ، يا بَيْتَ صَيْدا! لأَنَّهُ لَو جَرَى في صُورَ وَصَيْدا مَا جَرَى فِيكُمَا مِنْ أَعْمَالٍ قَدِيرَة، لَتَابَتَا مِنْ زَمَانٍ وَجَلَسَتا في الـمِسْحِ وَالرَّمَاد. 14 ولـكِنَّ صُورَ وَصَيْدا سَيَكُونُ مَصِيرُهُمَا في الدَّيْنُونَةِ أَخَفَّ وَطْأَةً مِنْ مَصيرِكُمَا. 15 وَأَنْتِ يَا كَفَرْناحُوم، أَلَنْ تَرْتَفِعي إِلى السَّمَاء؟ فَإِلى الـجَحِيمِ سَتَهْبِطِين! 16 مَنْ يَسْمَعُ لَكُم يَسْمَعُ لي، وَمَنْ يَرْفُضُكُم يَرْفُضُنِي، وَمَنْ يَرْفُضُنِي يَرْفُضُ الَّذي أَرْسَلَنِي".

Lecture French	08 Or, à Lystres, il y avait un homme qui était assis, incapable de se tenir sur ses pieds. Infirme de naissance, il n’avait jamais pu marcher. 09 Cet homme écoutait les paroles de Paul. Celui-ci le fixa du regard et vit qu’il avait la foi pour être sauvé. 10 Alors il lui dit d’une voix forte : « Lève-toi, tiens-toi droit sur tes pieds. » L’homme se dressa d’un bond : il marchait. 11 En voyant ce que Paul venait de faire, les foules s’écrièrent en lycaonien : « Les dieux se sont faits pareils aux hommes, et ils sont descendus chez nous ! » 12 Ils donnaient à Barnabé le nom de Zeus, et à Paul celui d’Hermès, puisque c’était lui le porte-parole. 13 Le prêtre du temple de Zeus, situé hors de la ville, fit amener aux portes de celle-ci des taureaux et des guirlandes. Il voulait offrir un sacrifice avec les foules. 14 Informés de cela, les Apôtres Barnabé et Paul déchirèrent leurs vêtements et se précipitèrent dans la foule en criant : 15 « Pourquoi faites-vous cela ? Nous aussi, nous sommes des hommes pareils à vous, et nous annonçons la Bonne Nouvelle : détournez-vous de ces vaines pratiques, et tournez-vous vers le Dieu vivant, lui qui a fait le ciel, la terre, la mer, et tout ce qu’ils contiennent. 16 Dans les générations passées, il a laissé toutes les nations suivre leurs chemins. 17 Pourtant, il n’a pas manqué de donner le témoignage de ses bienfaits, puisqu’il vous a envoyé du ciel la pluie et des saisons fertiles pour vous combler de nourriture et de bien-être. » 18 En parlant ainsi, ils empêchèrent, mais non sans peine, la foule de leur offrir un sacrifice.
Evangile French	13 Malheureuse es-tu, Corazine ! Malheureuse es-tu, Bethsaïde ! Car, si les miracles qui ont eu lieu chez vous avaient eu lieu à Tyr et à Sidon, il y a longtemps que leurs habitants auraient fait pénitence, avec le sac et la cendre. 14 D’ailleurs, Tyr et Sidon seront mieux traitées que vous lors du Jugement. 15 Et toi, Capharnaüm, seras-tu élevée jusqu’au ciel ? Non ! Jusqu’au séjour des morts tu descendras ! 16 Celui qui vous écoute m’écoute ; celui qui vous rejette me rejette ; et celui qui me rejette rejette celui qui m’a envoyé. »

Lecture English	8 * At Lystra there was a crippled man, lame from birth, who had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul speaking, who looked intently at him, saw that he had the faith to be healed, 10 and called out in a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet.” He jumped up and began to walk about. 11 When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they cried out in Lycaonian, “The gods have come down to us in human form.”c 12 They called Barnabas “Zeus”* and Paul “Hermes,” because he was the chief speaker. 13 And the priest of Zeus, whose temple was at the entrance to the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, for he together with the people intended to offer sacrifice. 14 The apostles Barnabas and Paul tore their garments* when they heard this and rushed out into the crowd, shouting, 15 * “Men, why are you doing this? We are of the same nature as you, human beings. We proclaim to you good news that you should turn from these idols to the living God, ‘who made heaven and earth and sea and all that is in them.’d 16 In past generations he allowed all Gentiles to go their own ways;e 17 yet, in bestowing his goodness, he did not leave himself without witness, for he gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, and filled you with nourishment and gladness for your hearts.”f 18 Even with these words, they scarcely restrained the crowds from offering sacrifice to them.

Woe to you, Bethsaida!m For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 15 n And as for you, Capernaum, ‘Will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.’* 16 Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”o
