Lecture Arabic	44 وفي السَّبْتِ التَّالي، كَادَتِ الـمَدينَةُ كُلُّهَا تَجْتَمِعُ لِتَسْمَعَ كَلِمَةَ الرَّبّ. 45 ورَأَى اليَهُودُ تِلْكَ الـجُمُوعَ فَامْتَلأُوا حَسَدًا، وأَخَذُوا يُعَارِضُونَ أَقْوَالَ بُولُسَ ويُجَدِّفُون. 46 فقَالَ لَهُم بُولُسُ وبَرْنَابَا بِجُرأَة: " لَكُم أَنْتُم أَوَّلاً كَانَ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ تُقَالَ كَلِمَةُ الله. وبِمَا أَنَّكُم تَرْفُضُونَهَا وَتَحْكُمُونَ على أَنَّكُم غَيْرُ أَهْلٍ لِلْحَيَاةِ الأَبَديَّة، فَهَا نَحْنُ نَتَوَجَّهُ إِلى الأُمَم. 47 فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ هـكَذا أَوْصَانَا: إِنِّي جَعَلْتُكَ نُورًا لِلأُمَم، لِتَكُونَ أَنْتَ خَلاصًا حَتَّى أَقَاصي الأَرْض". 48 ولَمَّا سَمِعَ الوَثَنِيُّونَ ذـلِكَ، فَرِحُوا ومَجَّدُوا كَلِمَةَ الرَّبّ، وآمَنَ جَميعُ الَّذِينَ كانُوا مُعَدِّينَ لِلحَياةِ الأَبَدِيَّة. 49 وكانَتْ كلِمَةُ الرَّبِّ تَنتَشِرُ في كُلِّ تِلكَ النَّاحِية. 50 أَمَّا اليَهُودُ فحَرَّضُوا النِّسَاءَ التَّقِيَّاتِ النَّبِيلات، وأَعْيَانَ الـمَدينَة، وأَثَارُوا اضْطِهَادًا على بُولُسَ وبَرْنَابَا، وطَرَدُوهُمَا مِنْ دِيارِهِم. 51 فَنَفَضَا علَيْهِم غُبَارَ أَرْجُلِهِما، وذَهَبَا إِلى إِيقُونِيَة. 52 وكانَ التَّلامِيذُ يَمْتَلِئُونَ مِنَ الفَرَحِ والرُّوحِ القُدُس.
Evangile Arabic	31 أَلآتِي مِنْ فَوْقُ هُوَ فَوقَ الـجَمِيع. مَنْ كَانَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ أَرْضِيٌّ هُوَ، ولُغَةَ الأَرْضِ يَتَكَلَّم. أَلآتي مِنَ السَّمَاءِ هُوَ فَوْقَ الـجَمِيع، 32 وهُوَ يَشْهَدُ بِمَا رَأَى وسَمِعَ، ولا أَحَدَ يَقْبَلُ شَهَادَتَهُ. 33 مَنْ قَبِلَ شَهَادَتَهُ فَقَدْ خَتَمَ عَلى أَنَّ اللهَ صَادِق. 34 فَمَنْ أَرْسَلَهُ اللهُ يَنْطِقُ بِكَلامِ الله، وهوَ يُعْطي الرُّوحَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب. 35 أَلآبُ يُحِبُّ الابْنَ وقَدْ جَعَلَ في يَدِهِ كُلَّ شَيء. 36 مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِالابْنِ يَنَالُ حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّة، ومَنْ لا يُطِيعُ الابْنَ لَنْ يَرَى حَيَاةً، بَلْ غَضَبُ اللهِ يَسْتَقِرُّ عَلَيْه.

Lecture French	44 Le sabbat suivant, presque toute la ville se rassembla pour entendre la parole du Seigneur. 45 Quand les Juifs virent les foules, ils s’enflammèrent de jalousie ; ils contredisaient les paroles de Paul et l’injuriaient. 46 Paul et Barnabé leur déclarèrent avec assurance : « C’est à vous d’abord qu’il était nécessaire d’adresser la parole de Dieu. Puisque vous la rejetez et que vous-mêmes ne vous jugez pas dignes de la vie éternelle, eh bien ! nous nous tournons vers les nations païennes. 47 C’est le commandement que le Seigneur nous a donné : J’ai fait de toi la lumière des nations pour que, grâce à toi, le salut parvienne jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre. » 48 En entendant cela, les païens étaient dans la joie et rendaient gloire à la parole du Seigneur ; tous ceux qui étaient destinés à la vie éternelle devinrent croyants. 49 Ainsi la parole du Seigneur se répandait dans toute la région. 50 Mais les Juifs provoquèrent l’agitation parmi les femmes de qualité adorant Dieu, et parmi les notables de la cité ; ils se mirent à poursuivre Paul et Barnabé, et les expulsèrent de leur territoire. 51 Ceux-ci secouèrent contre eux la poussière de leurs pieds et se rendirent à Iconium, 52 tandis que les disciples étaient remplis de joie et d’Esprit Saint.
Evangile French	31 Celui qui vient d’en haut est au-dessus de tous. Celui qui est de la terre est terrestre, et il parle de façon terrestre. Celui qui vient du ciel est au-dessus de tous, 32 il témoigne de ce qu’il a vu et entendu, et personne ne reçoit son témoignage. 33 Mais celui qui reçoit son témoignage certifie par là que Dieu est vrai. 34 En effet, celui que Dieu a envoyé dit les paroles de Dieu, car Dieu lui donne l’Esprit sans mesure. 35 Le Père aime le Fils et il a tout remis dans sa main. 36 Celui qui croit au Fils a la vie éternelle ; celui qui refuse de croire le Fils ne verra pas la vie, mais la colère de Dieu demeure sur lui. »

Lecture English	44 On the following sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45 When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and with violent abuse contradicted what Paul said. 46 u Both Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first, but since you reject it and condemn yourselves as unworthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.* 47 For so the Lord has commanded us, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, that you may be an instrument of salvation to the ends of the earth.’”v 48 The Gentiles were delighted when they heard this and glorified the word of the Lord. All who were destined for eternal life came to believe, 49 and the word of the Lord continued to spread through the whole region. 50 The Jews, however, incited the women of prominence who were worshipers and the leading men of the city, stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their territory. 51 w So they shook the dust from their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.* 52 The disciples were filled with joy and the holy Spirit.
Evangile English	31 The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven [is above all].x 32 He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony.y 33 Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.z 34 For the one whom God sent speaks the words of God. He does not ration his gift* of the Spirit. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him.a 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.b
