Lecture Arabic	1 ونَزَلَ أُناسٌ منَ اليَهُودِيَّةِ فأَخَذُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ الإِخوَةَ ويَقُولُون: "إِنْ لَمْ تُخْتَنُوا بِحَسَبِ تَقْلِيدِ مُوسَى، فلا يُمْكِنُكُم أَنْ تَخْلُصُوا". 2 فَوَقَعَ بَيْنَهُم وبَيْنَ بُولُسَ وبَرْنَابَا خِلافٌ وجِدَالٌ عَنِيف، فتَقَرَّرَ أَنْ يَصْعَدَ بُولُسُ وبَرْنَابَا وأُناسٌ آخَرُونَ مِنْهُم إِلى الرُّسُلِ والكَهَنَةِ في أُورَشَليم، لِلنَّظَرِ في هـذِهِ الـمَسْأَلَة. 3 فهـؤُلاءِ، بَعْدَما شَيَّعَتْهُمُ الكَنِيسة، اجْتازُوا فِينِيقِيَةَ والسَّامِرَة، وهُمْ يُخْبِرُونَ بِاهْتِداءِ الوَثَنيِّين، ويُفَرِّحُونَ جَمِيعَ الإِخْوَةِ فَرَحًا عَظِيمًا. 4 ولَمَّا وَصَلُوا إِلى أُورَشَليم، رَحَّبَتْ بِهِمِ الكَنِيسَةُ والرُّسُلُ والكَهَنَة، فأَخْبَرُوهُم بِكُلِّ مَا صَنَعَهُ اللهُ مَعَهُم. 5 وقَامَ أُنَاسٌ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا على مَذْهَبِ الفَرِّيسِيِّينَ ثُمَّ آمَنُوا، فَقَالُوا: "يَجِبُ أَنْ يُخْتَنَ الوَثَنِيُّون، ويُلْزَمُوا بِالـحِفَاظِ على تَوْرَاةِ مُوسَى". 6 فَاجْتَمَعَ الرُّسُلُ والكَهَنَةُ لِيَنْظُرُوا في هـذَا الأَمْر. 7 وبَعْدَ جِدَالٍ طَويلٍ قَامَ بُطْرُسُ وقَالَ لَهُم: " أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ الإِخْوَة، أَنتُم تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ اللهَ اخْتَارَنِي مِنْ بَيْنِكُم، مُنْذُ الأَيَّامِ الأُولى، لِيَسْمَعَ الوثَنِيُّونَ مِن فَمِي كَلِمَةَ الإِنْجِيلِ ويُؤْمِنُوا! 8 واللهُ العارِفُ بِالقُلُوبِ قد شَهِدَ فوَهَبَ لَهُمُ الرُّوحَ القُدُسَ كما وهَبَهُ لنا. 9 ومَا فَرَّقَ بِشَيءٍ بَيْنَنا وبَيْنَهُم، وقَدْ طَهَّرَ بِالإِيْمَانِ قُلُوبَهُم. 10 فَالآنَ إِذًا، لِمَاذا تُجَرِّبُونَ اللهَ بِأَنْ تَضَعُوا على أَعْنَاقِ التَّلامِيذِ نِيرًا عَجِزْنا عَنْ حَمْلِهِ نَحْنُ وآبَاؤُنا؟ 11 فنَحْنُ نُؤْمِنُ أَنَّنَا نَخْلُص، كَمَا هُمْ أَيْضًا يَخْلُصُون، بِنِعْمَةِ الرَّبِّ يَسُوع". 12 فَسَكَتَ الـجُمْهُورُ كُلُّهُ، وأَخَذُوا يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلى بَرْنَابَا وبُولُس، وهُمَا يُحَدِّثَانِ بِجَمِيعِ مَا صَنَعَ اللهُ على أَيْدِيهِمَا مِنْ آيَاتٍ وعَجَائِبَ بَيْنَ الوَثَنِيِّين.
Evangile Arabic	25 وَإِذَا عَالِمٌ بِالتَّوْرَاةِ قَامَ يُجَرِّبُ يَسُوعَ قَائِلاً: "يا مُعَلِّم، مَاذَا أَعْمَلُ لأَرِثَ الـحَياةَ الأَبَدِيَّة؟". 26 فَقَالَ لَهُ: "مَاذَا كُتِبَ في التَّوْرَاة؟ كَيْفَ تَقْرَأ؟". 27 فَقَالَ :"أَحْبِبِ الرَّبَّ إِلـهَكَ مِنْ كُلِّ قَلْبِكَ، وَكُلِّ نَفْسِكَ، وَكُلِّ قُدْرَتِكَ، وَكُلِّ فِكْرِكَ، وَأَحْبِبْ قَرِيبَكَ كَنَفْسِكَ". 28 فَقالَ لَهُ يَسُوع: "بِالصَّوابِ أَجَبْتَ. إِفْعَلْ هـذَا فَتَحْيَا".

Lecture French	01 Des gens, venus de Judée à Antioche, enseignaient les frères en disant : « Si vous n’acceptez pas la circoncision selon la coutume qui vient de Moïse, vous ne pouvez pas être sauvés. » 02 Cela provoqua un affrontement ainsi qu’une vive discussion engagée par Paul et Barnabé contre ces gens-là. Alors on décida que Paul et Barnabé, avec quelques autres frères, monteraient à Jérusalem auprès des Apôtres et des Anciens pour discuter de cette question. 03 L’Église d’Antioche facilita leur voyage. Ils traversèrent la Phénicie et la Samarie en racontant la conversion des nations, ce qui remplissait de joie tous les frères. 04 À leur arrivée à Jérusalem, ils furent accueillis par l’Église, les Apôtres et les Anciens, et ils rapportèrent tout ce que Dieu avait fait avec eux. 05 Alors quelques membres du groupe des pharisiens qui étaient devenus croyants intervinrent pour dire qu’il fallait circoncire les païens et leur ordonner d’observer la loi de Moïse. 06 Les Apôtres et les Anciens se réunirent pour examiner cette affaire. 07 Comme cela provoquait une intense discussion, Pierre se leva et leur dit : « Frères, vous savez bien comment Dieu, dans les premiers temps, a manifesté son choix parmi vous : c’est par ma bouche que les païens ont entendu la parole de l’Évangile et sont venus à la foi. 08 Dieu, qui connaît les cœurs, leur a rendu témoignage en leur donnant l’Esprit Saint tout comme à nous ; 09 sans faire aucune distinction entre eux et nous, il a purifié leurs cœurs par la foi. 10 Maintenant, pourquoi donc mettez-vous Dieu à l’épreuve en plaçant sur la nuque des disciples un joug que nos pères et nous-mêmes n’avons pas eu la force de porter ? 11 Oui, nous le croyons, c’est par la grâce du Seigneur Jésus que nous sommes sauvés, de la même manière qu’eux. » 12 Toute la multitude garda le silence, puis on écouta Barnabé et Paul exposer tous les signes et les prodiges que Dieu avait accomplis grâce à eux parmi les nations.
Evangile French	25 Et voici qu’un docteur de la Loi se leva et mit Jésus à l’épreuve en disant : « Maître, que dois-je faire pour avoir en héritage la vie éternelle ? » 26 Jésus lui demanda : « Dans la Loi, qu’y a-t-il d’écrit ? Et comment lis-tu ? » 27 L’autre répondit : « Tu aimeras le Seigneur ton Dieu de tout ton cœur, de toute ton âme, de toute ta force et de toute ton intelligence, et ton prochain comme toi-même. » 28 Jésus lui dit : « Tu as répondu correctement. Fais ainsi et tu vivras. »

Lecture English	1 * Some who had come down from Judea were instructing the brothers,a “Unless you are circumcised according to the Mosaic practice,b you cannot be saved.”* 2 Because there arose no little dissension and debate by Paul and Barnabas with them, it was decided that Paul, Barnabas, and some of the others should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and presbyters about this question. 3 They were sent on their journey by the church, and passed through Phoenicia and Samaria telling of the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brothers. 4 When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church, as well as by the apostles and the presbyters, and they reported what God had done with them. 5 But some from the party of the Pharisees who had become believers stood up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and direct them to observe the Mosaic law.” 6 * The apostles and the presbyters met together to see about this matter. 7 * After much debate had taken place, Peter got up and said to them, “My brothers, you are well aware that from early days God made his choice among you that through my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe.c 8 And God, who knows the heart, bore witness by granting them the holy Spirit just as he did us.d 9 He made no distinction between us and them, for by faith he purified their hearts.e 10 Why, then, are you now putting God to the test by placing on the shoulders of the disciples a yoke that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?f 11 On the contrary, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus,g in the same way as they.”* 12 The whole assembly fell silent, and they listened while Paul and Barnabas described the signs and wonders God had worked among the Gentiles through them.
Evangile English	25 * There was a scholar of the law* who stood up to test him and said, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”x 26 Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it?” 27 He said in reply, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”y 28 He replied to him, “You have answered correctly; do this and you will live.”z
