Lecture Arabic	19 وبَقِيَ بِضْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ مَعَ التَّلامِيذِ في دِمَشْق. 20 وفي الـحَالِ أَخَذَ يَكْرِزُ في الـمَجَامِعِ بِأَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ ابْنُ الله. 21 وكَانَ كُلُّ الَّذينَ يَسْمَعُونَهُ يَدْهَشُونَ ويَقُولُون: "أَلَيْسَ هـذَا هُوَ الَّذي كَانَ في أُورَشليمَ يَفْتُكُ بِالَّذِينَ يُدْعَوْنَ بِـهـذَا الاِسْم، وقَدْ جَاءَ إلى هُنَا لِيَسُوقَهُم إِلى الأَحْبَارِ مُكَبَّلين؟". 22 أَمَّا شَاوُلُ فَكَانَ يَزْدَادُ قُوَّةً، ويُفحِمُ اليَهودَ الْمُقيمينَ في دِمَشْق، مُبَرهِنًا أَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ الـمَسيح. 23 ومَرَّتْ أَيَّامٌ كَثيرَة، فتَشَاوَرَ اليَهُودُ لِيَقتُلُوه. 24 وعَلِمَ شَاوُلُ بِمَكيدَتِهِم. وكَانُوا يُراقِبُونَ أَبْوَابَ الْمَدينَةِ نَهَارًا ولَيْلاً لِيَقْتُلُوه. 25 فَأَخَذَهُ تَلامِيذُهُ لَيْلاً، ووَضَعُوهُ في سَلّ، ودَلَّوْهُ منَ السُّور. 26 ولَمَّا وَصَلَ إلى أُورَشَليم، حَاوَلَ أَن يَنْضَمَّ إلى التَّلامِيذ، ولـكِنَّهُم كَانُوا كُلُّهُم يَخَافُونَ مِنْهُ، ولا يُصَدِّقُونَ أَنَّهُ تِلْمِيذ. 27 فأَخَذَهُ بَرْنَابَا وجَاءَ بِهِ إلى الرُّسُل، وأَخبَرَهُم كيفَ رأَى شَاوُلُ الرَّبَّ في الطَّريق، وأَنَّ الرَّبَّ كَلَّمَهُ، وكيفَ تكلَّمَ بجُرأَةٍ في دِمَشْقَ بِاسْمِ يَسُوع. 28 وأَخَذَ شَاوُلُ يَرُوحُ ويَجِيءُ معَ التَّلاميذِ في أُورَشَليم، ويتَكَلَّمُ بِجُرأَةٍ بِاسْمِ الرَّبّ. 29 وكَانَ يُخَاطِبُ اليَهودَ الـهِلِّينِيِّينَ وَيُجَادِلُهُم. أَمَّا هُم فَكَانُوا يَبْغُونَ قَتْلَهُ. 30 وعَلِمَ الإِخوَةُ بِذـلِكَ فَانْحَدَرُوا بِهِ إِلى قَيْصَرِيَّة، وأَرْسَلُوهُ مِنْ هُنَاكَ إِلى طَرْسُوس.
Evangile Arabic	8 إِشْفُوا الـمَرْضَى، أَقِيْمُوا الـمَوْتَى، طَهِّرُوا البُرْص، وَاطْرُدُوا الشَّيَاطِين. مَجَّانًا أَخَذْتُم، مَجَّانًا أَعْطُوا. 9 لا تَقْتَنُوا ذَهَبًا، ولا فِضَّةً، ولا نُحَاسًا في أَكْيَاسِكُم، 10 ولا زَادًا لِلطَّرِيق، ولا ثَوْبَيْن، ولا حِذَاء، ولا عَصَا، لأَنَّ الفَاعِلَ يَسْتَحِقُّ طَعَامَهُ. 11 وأَيَّ مَدِينَةٍ أَوْ قَرْيَةٍ دَخَلْتُمُوهَا، إِسْأَلُوا فِيها عَمَّنْ هُوَ أَهْلٌ لاسْتِقْبَالِكُم، وأَقِيْمُوا هُنَاكَ إِلى أَنْ تَرْحَلُوا. 12 وحِيْنَ تَدْخُلُونَ البَيْت، سَلِّمُوا عَلَيْه. 13 فَإِنْ كَانَ هـذَا البَيْتُ أَهْلاً، فَلْيَحِلَّ سَلامُكُم عَلَيْه. وإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلاً، فَلْيَعُدْ سَلامُكُمْ إِلَيْكُم. 14 ومَنْ لا يَقْبَلُكُم ولا يَسْمَعُ كَلامَكُم، فَاخْرُجُوا مِنْ ذـلِكَ البَيْتِ أَو مِنْ تِلْكَ الـمَدِيْنَة، وانْفُضُوا غُبَارَ أَرْجُلِكُم. 15 أَلـحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنَّ أَرْضَ سَدُومَ وعَمُورَةَ سَيَكُونُ مَصِيْرُهَا، في يَوْمِ الدِّيْن، أَخَفَّ وَطْأَةً مِنْ مَصِيْرِ تِلْكَ الـمَدِيْنَة.

Lecture French	19 Il passa quelques jours à Damas avec les disciples 20 et, sans plus attendre, il proclamait Jésus dans les synagogues, affirmant que celui-ci est le Fils de Dieu. 21 Tous ceux qui écoutaient étaient stupéfaits et disaient : « N’est-ce pas lui qui, à Jérusalem, s’acharnait contre ceux qui invoquent ce nom-là, et n’est-il pas venu ici afin de les ramener enchaînés chez les grands prêtres ? » 22 Mais Saul, avec une force de plus en plus grande, réfutait les Juifs qui habitaient Damas, en démontrant que Jésus est le Christ. 23 Assez longtemps après, les Juifs tinrent conseil en vue de le supprimer. 24 Saul fut informé de leur machination. On faisait même garder les portes de la ville jour et nuit afin de pouvoir le supprimer. 25 Alors ses disciples le prirent de nuit ; ils le firent descendre dans une corbeille, jusqu’en bas, de l’autre côté du rempart. 26 Arrivé à Jérusalem, Saul cherchait à se joindre aux disciples, mais tous avaient peur de lui, car ils ne croyaient pas que lui aussi était un disciple. 27 Alors Barnabé le prit avec lui et le présenta aux Apôtres ; il leur raconta comment, sur le chemin, Saul avait vu le Seigneur, qui lui avait parlé, et comment, à Damas, il s’était exprimé avec assurance au nom de Jésus. 28 Dès lors, Saul allait et venait dans Jérusalem avec eux, s’exprimant avec assurance au nom du Seigneur. 29 Il parlait aux Juifs de langue grecque, et discutait avec eux. Mais ceux-ci cherchaient à le supprimer. 30 Mis au courant, les frères l’accompagnèrent jusqu’à Césarée et le firent partir pour Tarse.

L’ouvrier, en effet, mérite sa nourriture. 11 Dans chaque ville ou village où vous entrerez, informez-vous pour savoir qui est digne de vous accueillir, et restez là jusqu’à votre départ. 12 En entrant dans la maison, saluez ceux qui l’habitent. 13 Si cette maison en est digne, que votre paix vienne sur elle. Si elle n’en est pas digne, que votre paix retourne vers vous. 14 Si l’on ne vous accueille pas et si l’on n’écoute pas vos paroles, sortez de cette maison ou de cette ville, et secouez la poussière de vos pieds. 15 Amen, je vous le dis : au jour du Jugement, le pays de Sodome et de Gomorrhe sera traité moins sévèrement que cette ville.

Lecture English	19 Saul Preaches in Damascus. He stayed some days with the disciples in Damascus, 20 and he began at once to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.* 21 All who heard him were astounded and said, “Is not this the man who in Jerusalem ravaged those who call upon this name, and came here expressly to take them back in chains to the chief priests?” 22 But Saul grew all the stronger and confounded [the] Jews who lived in Damascus, proving that this is the Messiah. Saul Visits Jerusalem. 23 After a long time had passed, the Jews conspired to kill him, 24 n but their plot became known to Saul. Now they were keeping watch on the gates day and night so as to kill him, 25 but his disciples took him one night and let him down through an opening in the wall, lowering him in a basket. 26 o When he arrived in Jerusalem* he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple. 27 Then Barnabas took charge of him and brought him to the apostles, and he reported to them how on the way he had seen the Lord and that he had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus. 28 He moved about freely with them in Jerusalem, and spoke out boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 He also spoke and debated with the Hellenists,* but they tried to kill him. 30 And when the brothers learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him on his way to Tarsus.p
Evangile English	8 * Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give. 9 e Do not take gold or silver or copper for your belts; 10 f no sack for the journey, or a second tunic, or sandals, or walking stick. The laborer deserves his keep. 11 g Whatever town or village you enter, look for a worthy person in it, and stay there until you leave. 12 As you enter a house, wish it peace. 13 If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you.* 14 * h Whoever will not receive you or listen to your words—go outside that house or town and shake the dust from your feet. 15 Amen, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.i
