Lecture Arabic	13 وبَعْدَمَا سَكَتَا، أَجَابَ يَعْقُوبُ قَائِلاً: "أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ الإِخْوَةُ اسْمَعُوا لي. 14 لقَدْ حَدَّثَكُم سِمْعَانُ كَيْفَ اهْتَمَّ الله، مُنْذُ البَدْءِ، أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ مِنْ بَيْنِ الوَثَنيِّينَ شَعْبًا لاسْمِهِ. 15 وهـذَا يتَّفِقُ مَعَ أَقْوَالِ الأَنْبِيَاء، كَمَا هُوَ مَكْتُوب: 16 بَعْدَ ذـلِكَ سَأَعُودُ فَأَبْنِي مِنْ جَديدٍ خَيْمَةَ دَاوُدَ الـمُتَهَدِّمَة، وأَبْنِي أَنْقَاضَها وأُقِيمُها ثَانِيَةً، 17 لِكَي يَبْحَثَ عَنِ الرَّبِّ سَائِرُ النَّاس، وجَمِيعُ الأُمَمِ الَّذِينَ دُعِيَ اسْمِي عَلَيْهِم، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ صَانِعُ هـذِهِ الأُمُورِ 18 الـمَعْرُوفَةِ لَدَيْهِ مُنْذُ الأَزَل. 19 لِذ,لِكَ أَنَا أَرَى أَلاَّ نُضَيِّقَ عَلى الَّذِينَ يَهْتَدُونَ إِلى اللهِ مِنَ الوَثَنِيِّين، 20 بَلْ أَنْ نَكْتُبَ إِلَيْهِم لِيَمْتَنِعُوا عَنْ نَجَاسَاتِ الأَصْنَام، والفُجُور، ولَحْمِ الـحَيَوانِ الـمَخْنُوق، والدَّم. 21 فَإِنَّ لِمُوسَى، مُنْذُ الأَجْيَالِ الأُولى، وفي كُلِّ مَدِينَة، أَتْبَاعًا يَكْرِزُونَ بِهِ، إِذْ إِنَّهُ يُقْرَأُ كُلَّ سَبْتٍ في الـمَجَامِع".
Evangile Arabic	29 أَمَّا هُوَ فَأَرادَ أَنْ يُبَرِّرَ نَفْسَهُ، فَقَالَ لِيَسُوع: "وَمَنْ هُوَ قَريبِي؟". 30 فَأَجابَ يَسُوعُ وَقَال: "كانَ رَجُلٌ نَازِلاً مِنْ أُورَشَلِيمَ إِلى أَرِيـحَا، فَوَقَعَ في أَيْدِي اللُّصُوص، وَعَرَّوهُ، وَأَوْسَعُوهُ ضَرْبًا، وَمَضَوا وَقَدْ تَرَكُوهُ بَيْنَ حَيٍّ وَمَيْت. 31 وَصَدَفَ أَنَّ كَاهِنًا كَانَ نَازِلاً في تِلْكَ الطَّرِيق، وَرَآهُ، فَمَالَ عَنْهُ وَمَضَى. 32 وَمَرَّ أَيْضًا لاوِيٌّ بِذـلِكَ الـمَكَان، وَرَآهُ، فَمَالَ عَنْهُ وَمَضَى. 33 ولـكِنَّ سَامِرِيًّا مُسَافِرًا مَرَّ بِهِ، وَرَآهُ، فَتَحَنَّنَ عَلَيْه، 34 وَدَنَا مِنْهُ، وَضَمَّدَ جِرَاحَهُ، سَاكِبًا عَلَيْها زَيْتًا وَخَمْرًا. ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُ عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ، وَذَهَبَ بِهَ إِلى الفُنْدُق، واعْتَنَى بِهِ. 35 وفي الغَد، أَخْرَجَ دِينَارَينِ وَأَعْطاهُمَا لِصَاحِبِ الفُنْدُق، وَقَالَ لَهُ: إِعْتَنِ بِهِ، وَمَهْمَا أَنْفَقْتَ فَأَنَا أُوفِيكَ عِنْدَ عَوْدَتي. 36 فَمَا رَأْيُكَ؟ أَيُّ هـؤُلاءِ الثَّلاثَةِ كَانَ قَريبَ ذـلِكَ الرَّجُلِ الَّذي وَقَعَ في أَيْدِي اللُّصُوص؟". 37 فَقَالَ: "أَلَّذي صَنَعَ إِلَيْهِ الرَّحْمَة". فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوع: "إِذْهَبْ، واصْنَعْ أَنْتَ أَيْضًا كَذـلِكَ".

Lecture French	13 Quand ils eurent terminé, Jacques prit la parole et dit : « Frères, écoutez-moi. 14 Simon-Pierre vous a exposé comment, dès le début, Dieu est intervenu pour prendre parmi les nations un peuple qui soit à son nom. 15 Les paroles des prophètes s’accordent avec cela, puisqu’il est écrit : 16 Après cela, je reviendrai pour reconstruire la demeure de David, qui s’est écroulée ; j’en reconstruirai les parties effondrées, je la redresserai ; 17 alors le reste des hommes cherchera le Seigneur, oui, toutes les nations sur lesquelles mon nom a été invoqué, – déclare le Seigneur, qui fait ces choses 18 connues depuis toujours. 19 Dès lors, moi, j’estime qu’il ne faut pas tracasser ceux qui, venant des nations, se tournent vers Dieu, 20 mais écrivons-leur de s’abstenir des souillures des idoles, des unions illégitimes, de la viande non saignée et du sang. 21 Car, depuis les temps les plus anciens, Moïse a, dans chaque ville, des gens qui proclament sa Loi, puisque, dans les synagogues, on en fait la lecture chaque sabbat. »
Evangile French	29 Mais lui, voulant se justifier, dit à Jésus : « Et qui est mon prochain ? » 30 Jésus reprit la parole : « Un homme descendait de Jérusalem à Jéricho, et il tomba sur des bandits ; ceux-ci, après l’avoir dépouillé et roué de coups, s’en allèrent, le laissant à moitié mort. 31 Par hasard, un prêtre descendait par ce chemin ; il le vit et passa de l’autre côté. 32 De même un lévite arriva à cet endroit ; il le vit et passa de l’autre côté. 33 Mais un Samaritain, qui était en route, arriva près de lui ; il le vit et fut saisi de compassion. 34 Il s’approcha, et pansa ses blessures en y versant de l’huile et du vin ; puis il le chargea sur sa propre monture, le conduisit dans une auberge et prit soin de lui. 35 Le lendemain, il sortit deux pièces d’argent, et les donna à l’aubergiste, en lui disant : “Prends soin de lui ; tout ce que tu auras dépensé en plus, je te le rendrai quand je repasserai.” 36 Lequel des trois, à ton avis, a été le prochain de l’homme tombé aux mains des bandits ? » 37 Le docteur de la Loi répondit : « Celui qui a fait preuve de pitié envers lui. » Jésus lui dit : « Va, et toi aussi, fais de même. »

Lecture English	13 * After they had fallen silent, James responded, “My brothers, listen to me. 14 Symeon* has described how God first concerned himself with acquiring from among the Gentiles a people for his name. 15 The words of the prophets agree with this, as is written: 16 ‘After this I shall returnh and rebuild the fallen hut of David; from its ruins I shall rebuild it and raise it up again, 17 so that the rest of humanity may seek out the Lord, even all the Gentiles on whom my name is invoked. Thus says the Lord who accomplishes these things, 18 known from of old.’ 19 i It is my judgment, therefore, that we ought to stop troubling the Gentiles who turn to God, 20 but tell them by letter to avoid pollution from idols, unlawful marriage, the meat of strangled animals, and blood.j 21 For Moses, for generations now, has had those who proclaim him in every town, as he has been read in the synagogues every sabbath.”
Evangile English	29 But because he wished to justify himself, he said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Jesus replied, “A man fell victim to robbers as he went down from Jerusalem to Jericho. They stripped and beat him and went off leaving him half-dead. 31 * A priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. 32 Likewise a Levite came to the place, and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side. 33 But a Samaritan traveler who came upon him was moved with compassion at the sight. 34 He approached the victim, poured oil and wine over his wounds and bandaged them. Then he lifted him up on his own animal, took him to an inn and cared for him. 35 The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper with the instruction, ‘Take care of him. If you spend more than what I have given you, I shall repay you on my way back.’ 36 Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers’ victim?” 37 He answered, “The one who treated him with mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
