Lecture Arabic	17 ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ إِلى أُورَشَليم. وبَيْنَما كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي في الـهَيْكَل، حَدَثَ ليَ انْخِطَاف. 18 ورَأَيْتُ الرَّبَّ يَقُولُ لي: عَجِّلْ وَاخْرُجْ مِنْ أُورَشَليم، لأَنَّهُم لَنْ يَقْبَلُوا شَهَادَتَكَ لي. 19 فقُلْتُ: يَا رَبّ، هُم يَعْلَمُونَ أَنِّي كُنْتُ أَدْخُلُ الـمَجَامِع، وأَعْتَقِلُ الـمُؤْمِنين، وأَجْلِدُهُم. 20 وَحِينَ سُفِكَ دَمُ شَهيدِكَ إِسْطِفَانُس، كُنْتُ حَاضِرًا أَنَا أَيْضًا، ومُوافِقًا عَلى قَتْلِهِ، وحَارِسًا لِثِيَابِ قَاتِلِيهِ. 21 فقَالَ لي: إِذْهَبْ، فإِنِّي سَأُرْسِلُكَ بَعيدًا إِلى الأُمَم". 22 وكانَ اليَهُودُ يُصْغُونَ إِلى بُولُس، حتَّى قَالَ هـذِهِ الكَلِمَة. فَرَفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُم قائِلين: "أَزِيلُوا هـذَا الرَّجُلَ عَنْ وَجْهِ الأَرْض، فهُوَ لا يَسْتَحِقُّ أَنْ يَحْيَا!". 23 وأَخَذُوا يَصِيحُون، وَيَطْرَحُونَ مَعَاطِفَهُم، وَيَذُرُّونَ الغُبَارَ في الـهَوَاء. 24 فأَمَرَ قَائِدُ الأَلْفِ أَنْ يَسُوقُوا بُولُسَ إِلى القَلْعَة، ويَسْتَجْوِبُوهُ تَحْتَ الضَّرْب، لِيَعْلَمَ مِنْهُ لأَيِّ سَبَبٍ كَانَ اليَهُودُ يَصِيحُونَ عَلَيْهِ هـكَذَا. 25 ولَمَّا مَدَّدُوا بُولُسَ لِيَجْلِدُوه، قَالَ لِقائِدِ الـمِئَة: "هَلْ يَجُوزُ لَكُم أَنْ تَجْلِدُوا رَجُلاً رُومَانِيًّا غَيْرَ مَحْكُومٍ عَلَيْه؟". 26 ولَمَّا سَمِعَ قَائِدُ الـمِئَةِ هـذَا الكَلام، ذَهَبَ إِلى قَائِدِ الأَلْفِ وأَخْبَرَهُ قَائِلاً: "مَا عَسَاكَ تَفْعَل؟ فإِنَّ هـذَا الرَّجُلَ رُومَانِيّ!". 27 فجَاءَ قَائِدُ الأَلْفِ إِلى بُولُسَ وقَالَ لَهُ: "قُلْ لي، هَلْ أَنْتَ رُومَانيّ؟". فقَال: "نَعَم!". 28 فأَجَابَ قائِدُ الأَلْف: "أَنَا دَفَعْتُ مَبْلَغًا كَبيرًا مِنَ الـمَالِ لأَحْصَلَ عَلى الـجِنْسِيَّةِ الرُّومَانِيَّة!". فقَالَ بُولُس: "أَمَّا أَنَا فقَدْ وُلِدْتُ فِيهَا!". 29 وَلِلحَالِ ابْتَعَدَ عَنْهُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا يَهُمُّونَ بِاسْتِجْوَابِهِ. أَمَّا قَائِدُ الأَلْفِ فَخَاف، إِذْ عَلِمَ أَنَّ بُولُسَ رُومَانِيّ، ولأَنَّهُ قَيَّدَهُ بِالسَّلاسِل.
Evangile Arabic	6 أَلا تُبَاعُ خَمْسَةُ عَصَافِيرَ بِفَلْسَين، ووَاحِدٌ مِنْهَا لا يُنْسَى أَمَامَ الله؟ 7 إِنَّ شَعْرَ رَأْسِكُم كُلَّهُ مَعْدُود، فَلا تَخَافُوا! إِنَّكُم أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عَصَافِيرَ كَثِيرَة. 8 وَأَقُولُ لَكُم: كُلُّ مَنِ اعْتَرَفَ بِي أَمَامَ النَّاس، يَعْتَرِفُ بِهِ ابْنُ الإِنْسانِ أَمَامَ مَلائِكَةِ الله. 9 وَمَنْ أَنْكَرَني أَمَامَ النَّاس، يُنْكَرُ أَمَامَ مَلائِكَةِ الله.

Lecture French	17 Revenu à Jérusalem, j’étais en prière dans le Temple quand je tombai en extase. 18 Je vis le Seigneur qui me disait : “Hâte-toi, sors vite de Jérusalem, car ils n’accueilleront pas ton témoignage à mon sujet.” 19 Et moi je répondis : “Seigneur, ces gens le savent bien : c’est moi qui allais d’une synagogue à l’autre pour mettre en prison et faire flageller ceux qui croyaient en toi ; 20 et quand on versait le sang d’Étienne ton témoin, je me tenais là, moi aussi ; j’étais d’accord, et je gardais les vêtements de ses meurtriers.” 21 Il me dit alors : “Va, car moi je vais t’envoyer au loin, vers les nations.” » 22 Jusqu’à cette parole, les gens l’écoutaient. Mais alors, ils se mirent à élever la voix : « Débarrassez la terre d’un tel individu ! Il ne faut pas qu’il vive ! » 23 Ils poussaient des cris, arrachaient leurs vêtements, jetaient de la poussière en l’air. 24 Alors le commandant ordonna de le faire entrer dans la forteresse. Il dit de procéder à un interrogatoire par le fouet, afin de savoir pour quel motif on criait contre lui de cette manière. 25 Comme on l’étendait en l’attachant avec des courroies, Paul dit au centurion de service : « Un citoyen romain, qui n’a même pas été jugé, avez-vous le droit de lui donner le fouet ? » 26 Quand le centurion entendit cela, il alla trouver le commandant pour le mettre au courant : « Qu’allais-tu faire ? Cet homme est un Romain ! » 27 Le commandant alla trouver Paul et lui demanda : « Dis-moi : tu es romain, toi ? – Oui, répondit-il. » 28 Le commandant reprit : « Moi, j’ai payé une grosse somme pour acquérir cette citoyenneté. » Paul répliqua : « Moi, je l’ai de naissance. » 29 Aussitôt, ceux qui allaient procéder à l’interrogatoire se retirèrent ; et le commandant prit peur en se rendant compte que c’était un citoyen romain et qu’il l’avait fait ligoter.
Evangile French	06 Est-ce que l’on ne vend pas cinq moineaux pour deux sous ? Or pas un seul n’est oublié au regard de Dieu. 07 À plus forte raison les cheveux de votre tête sont tous comptés. Soyez sans crainte : vous valez plus qu’une multitude de moineaux. 08 Je vous le dis : Quiconque se sera déclaré pour moi devant les hommes, le Fils de l’homme aussi se déclarera pour lui devant les anges de Dieu. 09 Mais celui qui m’aura renié en face des hommes sera renié à son tour en face des anges de Dieu.

Lecture English	17 “After I had returned to Jerusalem and while I was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance 18 and saw the Lord saying to me, ‘Hurry, leave Jerusalem at once, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’ 19 But I replied, ‘Lord, they themselves know that from synagogue to synagogue I used to imprison and beat those who believed in you.j 20 And when the blood of your witness Stephen was being shed, I myself stood by giving my approval and keeping guard over the cloaks of his murderers.’k 21 Then he said to me,l ‘Go, I shall send you far away to the Gentiles.’”* Paul Imprisoned. 22 m They listened to him until he said this, but then they raised their voices and shouted, “Take such a one as this away from the earth. It is not right that he should live.”* 23 And as they were yelling and throwing off their cloaks and flinging dust into the air, 24 the cohort commander ordered him to be brought into the compound and gave instruction that he be interrogated under the lash to determine the reason why they were making such an outcry against him. 25 n But when they had stretched him out for the whips, Paul said to the centurion on duty, “Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman citizen and has not been tried?”* 26 When the centurion heard this, he went to the cohort commander and reported it, saying, “What are you going to do? This man is a Roman citizen.” 27 Then the commander came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?” “Yes,” he answered. 28 The commander replied, “I acquired this citizenship for a large sum of money.” Paul said, “But I was born one.” 29 At once those who were going to interrogate him backed away from him, and the commander became alarmed when he realized that he was a Roman citizen and that he had had him bound.

You are worth more than many sparrows.d 8 I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God. 9 But whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God.e
